Lift, Associate, and Fuse: A Decision-Centric Framework for 2D-to-3D Foundation Model Transfer

Methods that transfer predictions from two-dimensional foundation models into three-dimensional segmentation are commonly grouped by task or representation. Those groupings obscure the decisions that determine whether a system remains coherent across views: where image evidence is grounded, when observations become one identity, how semantic and granularity conflicts are handled, which information is fused, and what state survives for later queries. We introduce \textbf{Lift, Associate, and Fuse (LAF)}, a decision-centric framework that represents a transfer system as five operators: \textbf{Generate, Associate, Reconcile, Fuse, and Persist/Query}. LAF defines an explicit contract for the persistent carrier---its spatial support, semantic state, identity state, uncertainty, provenance, and supported operations---and identifies the first stage at which discarded evidence becomes unrecoverable. We operationalize the framework as a structured audit protocol and apply it to 161 systems available through 7 August 2026, spanning point-, field-, Gaussian-, object-, graph-, and memory-based carriers. Representation, temporal, relational, and feed-forward stress tests required no additional analytical stage after the final confirmation pass. The resulting decision traces expose four recurring properties: association does not establish identity; carrier design fixes both the query interface and correction boundary; rendered-view, native-3D, and proposal-level evaluations are not interchangeable; and qualifiers such as \emph{training-free}, \emph{real-time}, \emph{open-vocabulary}, and \emph{generalizable} are meaningful only when attached to a stage and a complete cost ledger. LAF therefore supplies a representation-neutral method for comparing existing systems, diagnosing irreversible failures, and specifying revisable 3D perception for future agents.

CDSeg: A Renderable Gaussian Carrier for Image-to-3D Label Transfer

Modern image models provide strong cues about \emph{what} should be segmented in each view, but their masks do not by themselves determine \emph{where} those labels should persist in 3D. We present Cross-Domain Segmentation via Gaussian Splatting (CDSeg), a label-transfer interface that requires no task-specific 3D segmentation training and uses Gaussian primitives as a renderable label carrier. An external mask source supplies the labels, while renderer-derived visibility determines which 3D primitives receive them. The carrier is instantiated either by completing each input point into one Gaussian, preserving its index, or by reusing the native primitives of an optimized Gaussian scene. CDSeg records pixel--primitive associations during rendering and fuses multi-view masks through voting and a local filter. The resulting labels can be returned to the original points, retained on the native Gaussian scene, or rendered into other views. CDSeg covers promptable, automatic instance, semantic, and LiDAR settings and processes scenes with millions of primitives in seconds. It obtains 92.35\% mIoU on DesktopObjects-360, 95.89\% on NeRDS-360, and 65.77\% on the full ScanNet-v2 validation split using the provided 2D semantic annotations. CDSeg thereby provides one interface for reusing 2D masks across point clouds, Gaussian scenes, and image views without a task-specific 3D segmentation network.

To See a World in a Living Context: Unified Indoor-Outdoor Urban World Generation

Text-driven 3D generation has advanced rapidly in creating large-scale outdoor environments and detailed indoor scenes, but these domains are usually synthesized independently, lacking the correspondence required for a coherent urban world. We present HoloWorld, a unified indoor-outdoor urban world generation framework built on a continuously updated cross-scale world context. Initializing from a user description, HoloWorld progressively represents and updates the diverse world information, from city-scale planning to individual buildings, allowing generated interiors to maintain explicit correspondence with their associated exterior buildings. Conditioned on the evolving context and previously generated neighboring blocks, HoloWorld autoregressively generates urban exteriors with consistent spatial organization and visual identity across blocks. The generated exterior representations are further grounded in 3D building instances and footprints, enabling building-specific indoor generation with geometry-constrained layouts and inherited appearance characteristics. To our knowledge, HoloWorld is the first framework to unify indoor and outdoor generation within a coherent 3D urban world. Extensive experiments demonstrate that HoloWorld achieves superior urban exterior generation performance, improving the average AQS score over the SOTA by 7.68\% and obtaining the highest average RDR score, while maintaining strong building-level indoor-outdoor correspondence and cross-block continuity within a unified 3D urban world. Spatially-Weighted CLIP for Street-View Geo-localization

This paper proposes Spatially-Weighted CLIP (SW-CLIP), a novel framework for street-view geo-localization that explicitly incorporates spatial autocorrelation into vision-language contrastive learning. Unlike conventional CLIP-based methods that treat all non-matching samples as equally negative, SW-CLIP leverages Tobler's First Law of Geography to model geographic relationships through distance-aware soft supervision. Specifically, we introduce a location-as-text representation to encode geographic positions and replace one-hot InfoNCE targets with spatially weighted soft labels derived from geodesic distance. Additionally, a neighborhood-consistency regularization is employed to preserve local spatial structure in the embedding space. Experiments on a multi-city dataset demonstrate that SW-CLIP significantly improves geo-localization accuracy, reduces long-tail errors, and enhances spatial coherence compared to standard CLIP. The results highlight the importance of shifting from semantic alignment to geographic alignment for robust geo-localization and provide a general paradigm for integrating spatial principles into multimodal representation learning.

3DCity-LLM: Empowering Multi-modality Large Language Models for 3D City-scale Perception and Understanding

While multi-modality large language models excel in object-centric or indoor scenarios, scaling them to 3D city-scale environments remains a formidable challenge. To bridge this gap, we propose 3DCity-LLM, a unified framework designed for 3D city-scale vision-language perception and understanding. 3DCity-LLM employs a coarse-to-fine feature encoding strategy comprising three parallel branches for target object, inter-object relationship, and global scene. To facilitate large-scale training, we introduce 3DCity-LLM-1.2M dataset that comprises approximately 1.2 million high-quality samples across seven representative task categories, ranging from fine-grained object analysis to multi-faceted scene planning. This strictly quality-controlled dataset integrates explicit 3D numerical information and diverse user-oriented simulations, enriching the question-answering diversity and realism of urban scenarios. Furthermore, we apply a multi-dimensional protocol based on text-similarity metrics and LLM-based semantic assessment to ensure faithful and comprehensive evaluations for all methods. Extensive experiments on two benchmarks demonstrate that 3DCity-LLM significantly outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods, offering a promising and meaningful direction for advancing spatial reasoning and urban intelligence. A Large-Scale Remote Sensing Dataset and VLM-based Algorithm for Fine-Grained Road Hierarchy Classification

In this work, we present SYSU-HiRoads, a large-scale hierarchical road dataset, and RoadReasoner, a vision-language-geometry framework for automatic multi-grade road mapping from remote sensing imagery. SYSU-HiRoads is built from GF-2 imagery covering 3631 km2 in Henan Province, China, and contains 1079 image tiles at 0.8 m spatial resolution. Each tile is annotated with dense road masks, vectorized centerlines, and three-level hierarchy labels, enabling the joint training and evaluation of segmentation, topology reconstruction, and hierarchy classification. Building on this dataset, RoadReasoner is designed to generate robust road surface masks, topology-preserving road networks, and semantically coherent hierarchy assignments. We strengthen road feature representation and network connectivity by explicitly enhancing frequency-sensitive cues and multi-scale context. Moreover, we perform hierarchy inference at the skeleton-segment level with geometric descriptors and geometry-aware textual prompts, queried by vision-language models to obtain linguistically interpretable grade decisions. Experiments on SYSU-HiRoads and the CHN6-CUG dataset show that RoadReasoner surpasses state-of-the-art road extraction baselines and produces accurate and semantically consistent road hierarchy maps with 72.6% OA, 64.2% F1 score, and 60.6% SegAcc. The dataset and code will be publicly released to support automated transport infrastructure mapping, road inventory updating, and broader infrastructure management applications.

MajutsuCity: Language-driven Aesthetic-adaptive City Generation with Controllable 3D Assets and Layouts

Generating realistic 3D cities is fundamental to world models, virtual reality, and game development, where an ideal urban scene must satisfy both stylistic diversity, fine-grained, and controllability. However, existing methods struggle to balance the creative flexibility offered by text-based generation with the object-level editability enabled by explicit structural representations. We introduce MajutsuCity, a natural language-driven and aesthetically adaptive framework for synthesizing structurally consistent and stylistically diverse 3D urban scenes. MajutsuCity represents a city as a composition of controllable layouts, assets, and materials, and operates through a four-stage pipeline. To extend controllability beyond initial generation, we further integrate MajutsuAgent, an interactive language-grounded editing agent} that supports five object-level operations. To support photorealistic and customizable scene synthesis, we also construct MajutsuDataset, a high-quality multimodal dataset} containing 2D semantic layouts and height maps, diverse 3D building assets, and curated PBR materials and skyboxes, each accompanied by detailed annotations. Meanwhile, we develop a practical set of evaluation metrics, covering key dimensions such as structural consistency, scene complexity, material fidelity, and lighting atmosphere. Extensive experiments demonstrate MajutsuCity reduces layout FID by 83.7% compared with CityDreamer and by 20.1% over CityCraft. Our method ranks first across all AQS and RDR scores, outperforming existing methods by a clear margin. These results confirm MajutsuCity as a new state-of-the-art in geometric fidelity, stylistic adaptability, and semantic controllability for 3D city generation. We expect our framework can inspire new avenues of research in 3D city generation. Our project page: https://longhz140516.github.io/MajutsuCity/.

Semantic4Safety: Causal Insights from Zero-shot Street View Imagery Segmentation for Urban Road Safety

Street-view imagery (SVI) offers a fine-grained lens on traffic risk, yet two fundamental challenges persist: (1) how to construct street-level indicators that capture accident-related features, and (2) how to quantify their causal impacts across different accident types. To address these challenges, we propose Semantic4Safety, a framework that applies zero-shot semantic segmentation to SVIs to derive 11 interpretable streetscape indicators, and integrates road type as contextual information to analyze approximately 30,000 accident records in Austin. Specifically, we train an eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) multi-class classifier and use Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP) to interpret both global and local feature contributions, and then apply Generalized Propensity Score (GPS) weighting and Average Treatment Effect (ATE) estimation to control confounding and quantify causal effects. Results uncover heterogeneous, accident-type-specific causal patterns: features capturing scene complexity, exposure, and roadway geometry dominate predictive power; larger drivable area and emergency space reduce risk, whereas excessive visual openness can increase it. By bridging predictive modeling with causal inference, Semantic4Safety supports targeted interventions and high-risk corridor diagnosis, offering a scalable, data-informed tool for urban road safety planning.

GBA-UBF : A Large-Scale and Fine-Grained Building Function Classification Dataset in the Greater Bay Area

Rapid urbanization in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has created urgent demand for high-resolution, building-level functional data to support sustainable spatial planning. Existing land use datasets suffer from coarse granularity and difficulty in capturing intra-block heterogeneity. To this end, we present the Greater Bay Area Urban Building Function Dataset (GBA-UBF), a large-scale, fine-grained dataset that assigns one of five functional categories to nearly four million buildings across six core GBA cities. We proposed a Multi-level Building Function Optimization (ML-BFO) method by integrating Points of Interest (POI) records and building footprints through a three-stage pipeline: (1) candidate label generation using spatial overlay with proximity weighting, (2) iterative refinement based on neighborhood label autocorrelation, and (3) function-related correction informed by High-level POI buffers. To quantitatively validate results, we design the Building Function Matching Index (BFMI), which jointly measures categorical consistency and distributional similarity against POI-derived probability heatmaps. Comparative experiments demonstrate that GBA-UBF achieves significantly higher accuracy, with a BMFI of 0.58. This value markedly exceeds that of the baseline dataset and exhibits superior alignment with urban activity patterns. Field validation further confirms the dataset's semantic reliability and practical interpretability. The GBA-UBF dataset establishes a reproducible framework for building-level functional classification, bridging the gap between coarse land use maps and fine-grained urban analytics. The dataset is accessible at https://github.com/chenchs0629/GBA-UBF, and the data will undergo continuous improvement and updates based on feedback from the community.

SGS-3D: High-Fidelity 3D Instance Segmentation via Reliable Semantic Mask Splitting and Growing

Accurate 3D instance segmentation is crucial for high-quality scene understanding in the 3D vision domain. However, 3D instance segmentation based on 2D-to-3D lifting approaches struggle to produce precise instance-level segmentation, due to accumulated errors introduced during the lifting process from ambiguous semantic guidance and insufficient depth constraints. To tackle these challenges, we propose splitting and growing reliable semantic mask for high-fidelity 3D instance segmentation (SGS-3D), a novel "split-then-grow" framework that first purifies and splits ambiguous lifted masks using geometric primitives, and then grows them into complete instances within the scene. Unlike existing approaches that directly rely on raw lifted masks and sacrifice segmentation accuracy, SGS-3D serves as a training-free refinement method that jointly fuses semantic and geometric information, enabling effective cooperation between the two levels of representation. Specifically, for semantic guidance, we introduce a mask filtering strategy that leverages the co-occurrence of 3D geometry primitives to identify and remove ambiguous masks, thereby ensuring more reliable semantic consistency with the 3D object instances. For the geometric refinement, we construct fine-grained object instances by exploiting both spatial continuity and high-level features, particularly in the case of semantic ambiguity between distinct objects. Experimental results on ScanNet200, ScanNet++, and KITTI-360 demonstrate that SGS-3D substantially improves segmentation accuracy and robustness against inaccurate masks from pre-trained models, yielding high-fidelity object instances while maintaining strong generalization across diverse indoor and outdoor environments. Code is available at https://github.com/wangchaolei7/SGS-3D.

SAGOnline: Segment Any Gaussians Online

3D Gaussian Splatting has emerged as a powerful paradigm for explicit 3D scene representation, yet achieving efficient and consistent 3D segmentation remains challenging. Existing segmentation approaches typically rely on high-dimensional feature lifting, which causes costly optimization, implicit semantics, and task-specific constraints. We present \textbf{Segment Any Gaussians Online (SAGOnline)}, a unified, zero-shot framework that achieves real-time, cross-view consistent segmentation without scene-specific training. SAGOnline decouples the monolithic segmentation problem into lightweight sub-tasks. By integrating video foundation models (e.g., SAM 2), we first generate temporally consistent 2D masks across rendered views. Crucially, instead of learning continuous feature fields, we introduce a \textbf{Rasterization-aware Geometric Consensus} mechanism that leverages the traceability of the Gaussian rasterization pipeline. This allows us to deterministically map 2D predictions to explicit, discrete 3D primitive labels in real-time. This discrete representation eliminates the memory and computational burden of feature distillation, enabling instant inference. Extensive evaluations on NVOS and SPIn-NeRF benchmarks demonstrate that SAGOnline achieves state-of-the-art accuracy (92.7\% and 95.2\% mIoU) while operating at the fastest speed at 27 ms per frame. By providing a flexible interface for diverse foundation models, our framework supports instant prompt, instance, and semantic segmentation, paving the way for interactive 3D understanding in AR/VR and robotics.

PointGauss: Point Cloud-Guided Multi-Object Segmentation for Gaussian Splatting

While 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has established new standards for high-fidelity 3D scene modeling, interpreting massive, unstructured Gaussian primitives into meaningful geospatial entities remains a critical challenge for remote sensing and urban applications. Existing 2D-to-3D distillation methods suffer from projection ambiguities, geometric inconsistencies, and computational bottlenecks when applied to complex, large-scale topographies. Furthermore, current benchmarks lack natively aligned 2D-3D ground truth tailored for splatting-based representations. To address these limitations, we propose \textit{PointGauss}, a unified 3D-native framework for robust semantic parsing and instance segmentation. By treating Gaussian primitives as unstructured point sets, PointGauss leverages Point Transformer V3 (PTv3) to extract scale-invariant geometric features directly from Gaussian attributes, effectively resolving projection ambiguities. To ensure scalability in building-scale scenes, we introduce an adaptive region-of-interest cropping strategy and an instance-aware distance-constrained rasterization pipeline for pixel-level, view-consistent projection. Additionally, we present \textbf{SplatSeg-360}, the first rigorous cross-scale benchmark tailored for 3DGS, comprising 32 complex scenes with full 360$^\circ$ coverage and over 6,300 natively aligned 2D-3D masks. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PointGauss operates in real-time and achieves state-of-the-art performance. Notably, it attains approximately 90\% 3D-mIoU in large-scale building scenarios and roughly 80\% 2D-mIoU in view-consistent 2D instance segmentation, outperforming baseline methods by 16\%. Scene4U: Hierarchical Layered 3D Scene Reconstruction from Single Panoramic Image for Your Immerse Exploration

The reconstruction of immersive and realistic 3D scenes holds significant practical importance in various fields of computer vision and computer graphics. Typically, immersive and realistic scenes should be free from obstructions by dynamic objects, maintain global texture consistency, and allow for unrestricted exploration. The current mainstream methods for image-driven scene construction involves iteratively refining the initial image using a moving virtual camera to generate the scene. However, previous methods struggle with visual discontinuities due to global texture inconsistencies under varying camera poses, and they frequently exhibit scene voids caused by foreground-background occlusions. To this end, we propose a novel layered 3D scene reconstruction framework from panoramic image, named Scene4U. Specifically, Scene4U integrates an open-vocabulary segmentation model with a large language model to decompose a real panorama into multiple layers. Then, we employs a layered repair module based on diffusion model to restore occluded regions using visual cues and depth information, generating a hierarchical representation of the scene. The multi-layer panorama is then initialized as a 3D Gaussian Splatting representation, followed by layered optimization, which ultimately produces an immersive 3D scene with semantic and structural consistency that supports free exploration. Scene4U outperforms state-of-the-art method, improving by 24.24% in LPIPS and 24.40% in BRISQUE, while also achieving the fastest training speed. Additionally, to demonstrate the robustness of Scene4U and allow users to experience immersive scenes from various landmarks, we build WorldVista3D dataset for 3D scene reconstruction, which contains panoramic images of globally renowned sites. The implementation code and dataset will be released at https://github.com/LongHZ140516/Scene4U .

LOKI: A Comprehensive Synthetic Data Detection Benchmark using Large Multimodal Models

With the rapid development of AI-generated content, the future internet may be inundated with synthetic data, making the discrimination of authentic and credible multimodal data increasingly challenging. Synthetic data detection has thus garnered widespread attention, and the performance of large multimodal models (LMMs) in this task has attracted significant interest. LMMs can provide natural language explanations for their authenticity judgments, enhancing the explainability of synthetic content detection. Simultaneously, the task of distinguishing between real and synthetic data effectively tests the perception, knowledge, and reasoning capabilities of LMMs. In response, we introduce LOKI, a novel benchmark designed to evaluate the ability of LMMs to detect synthetic data across multiple modalities. LOKI encompasses video, image, 3D, text, and audio modalities, comprising 18K carefully curated questions across 26 subcategories with clear difficulty levels. The benchmark includes coarse-grained judgment and multiple-choice questions, as well as fine-grained anomaly selection and explanation tasks, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of LMMs. We evaluated 22 open-source LMMs and 6 closed-source models on LOKI, highlighting their potential as synthetic data detectors and also revealing some limitations in the development of LMM capabilities. More information about LOKI can be found at https://opendatalab.github.io/LOKI/

A Characteristic free approach to skew-gentle algebras

To each skew-gentle algebra, one can assign a gentle algebra in terms of combinatorial data. In order to relate the structures of the two algebras, we establish a homological epimorphism and a recollement of derived module categories. This approach is characteristic free and works in particular also in characteristic two, which is the difficult case for skew-gentle algebras. This allows to solve open problems and to uniformly reprove and strengthen known results, for instance, (1) a complete classification of selfinjective skew-gentle algebras; (2) the finitistic dimension conjecture, Auslander and Reiten's conjecture, and Keller's conjecture hold for all skew-gentle algebras; (3) a precise connection of K-theory between skew-gentle algebras and gentle algebras; (4) all skew-gentle algebras are Gorenstein, and skew-gentle algebras and their gentle algebras share the same singularity categories.

MAD-MulW: A Multi-Window Anomaly Detection Framework for BGP Security Events

In recent years, various international security events have occurred frequently and interacted between real society and cyberspace. Traditional traffic monitoring mainly focuses on the local anomalous status of events due to a large amount of data. BGP-based event monitoring makes it possible to perform differential analysis of international events. For many existing traffic anomaly detection methods, we have observed that the window-based noise reduction strategy effectively improves the success rate of time series anomaly detection. Motivated by this observation, we propose an unsupervised anomaly detection model, MAD-MulW, which incorporates a multi-window serial framework. Firstly, we design the W-GAT module to adaptively update the sample weights within the window and retain the updated information of the trailing sample, which not only reduces the outlier samples' noise but also avoids the space consumption of data scale expansion. Then, the W-LAT module based on predictive reconstruction both captures the trend of sample fluctuations over a certain period of time and increases the interclass variation through the reconstruction of the predictive sample. Our model has been experimentally validated on multiple BGP anomalous events with an average F1 score of over 90\%, which demonstrates the significant improvement effect of the stage windows and adaptive strategy on the efficiency and stability of the timing model.

Direction-aware Feature-level Frequency Decomposition for Single Image Deraining

We present a novel direction-aware feature-level frequency decomposition network for single image deraining. Compared with existing solutions, the proposed network has three compelling characteristics. First, unlike previous algorithms, we propose to perform frequency decomposition at feature-level instead of image-level, allowing both low-frequency maps containing structures and high-frequency maps containing details to be continuously refined during the training procedure. Second, we further establish communication channels between low-frequency maps and high-frequency maps to interactively capture structures from high-frequency maps and add them back to low-frequency maps and, simultaneously, extract details from low-frequency maps and send them back to high-frequency maps, thereby removing rain streaks while preserving more delicate features in the input image. Third, different from existing algorithms using convolutional filters consistent in all directions, we propose a direction-aware filter to capture the direction of rain streaks in order to more effectively and thoroughly purge the input images of rain streaks. We extensively evaluate the proposed approach in three representative datasets and experimental results corroborate our approach consistently outperforms state-of-the-art deraining algorithms.

Singular equivalences and Auslander-Reiten conjecture

Auslander-Reiten conjecture, which says that an Artin algebra does not have any non-projective generator with vanishing self-extensions in all positive degrees, is shown to be invariant under certain singular equivalences induced by adjoint pairs, which occur often in matrix algebras, recollements and change of rings. Accordingly, several reduction methods are established to study this conjecture.
