Tree-of-Ideas: Automated Research Ideation via Cross-Trajectory Reasoning over Scholarly Evolution

Effective research ideation requires moving beyond a static understanding of prior work to trace how research problems and solutions evolve across the literature. Existing methods either treat papers as unstructured context or model scholarly evolution as isolated citation chains, overlooking interactions among research trajectories. We propose Tree-of-Ideas (ToI), a two-stage framework. EvoTrace reconstructs branching scholarly trajectories from citations, tracking evolving methods, resolved problems, and gaps. EvoAgent then reasons across trajectories to identify convergent problems and complementary solutions, generating grounded research ideas. Across six AI research topics, ToI achieves the highest score among automatic methods (6.27 vs. 5.36 for the strongest baseline on a 10-point scale), with strong Novelty (6.36) and Groundedness (7.00). Also, its score approaches that of human-paper references (6.29), demonstrating the value of cross-path evolutionary reasoning.

CanvasAgent: Enabling Complex Image Creation and Editing via Visual Tool Orchestration

Complex image creation and editing often require more than a single generation or editing model. A user request may involve synthesizing images, localizing objects, segmenting regions, editing selected content, compositing intermediate assets, reading text, and enhancing the final result. Such tasks shift multimodal agents from perception-augmented reasoning to manipulation-centered visual creation, where tools must actively transform visual states rather than merely inspect them. However, existing multimodal tool-use agents are mostly optimized for perception, search, or domain-specific editing, and lack large-scale supervision for executable image-creation trajectories. In this paper, we introduce CanvasCraft, a large-scale multimodal tool-use dataset for complex image creation and editing, and \textbf{CanvasAgent}, a tool-augmented multimodal agent that learns to orchestrate heterogeneous visual tools through multi-turn interaction. CanvasCraft contains 140K fully annotated executable trajectories and 10K RL task specifications. CanvasAgent is first trained with SFT to learn executable reasoning-action trajectories, and is then optimized with GRPO using a hybrid reward that combines outcome- and process-level signals. During rollout, CanvasAgent inspects intermediate results, tracks visual assets, and adapts tool decisions to the evolving visual state. Experiments evaluate both final image quality and trajectory behavior, demonstrating the effectiveness of CanvasAgent and the proposed dataset for complex multi-tool image creation workflows.

ShareVerse: Multi-Agent Consistent Video Generation for Shared World Modeling

This paper presents ShareVerse, a video generation framework enabling multi-agent shared world modeling, addressing the gap in existing works that lack support for unified shared world construction with multi-agent interaction. ShareVerse leverages the generation capability of large video models and integrates three key innovations: 1) A dataset for large-scale multi-agent interactive world modeling is built on the CARLA simulation platform, featuring diverse scenes, weather conditions, and interactive trajectories with paired multi-view videos (front/ rear/ left/ right views per agent) and camera data. 2) We propose a spatial concatenation strategy for four-view videos of independent agents to model a broader environment and to ensure internal multi-view geometric consistency. 3) We integrate cross-agent attention blocks into the pretrained video model, which enable interactive transmission of spatial-temporal information across agents, guaranteeing shared world consistency in overlapping regions and reasonable generation in non-overlapping regions. ShareVerse, which supports 49-frame large-scale video generation, accurately perceives the position of dynamic agents and achieves consistent shared world modeling.

OmniLottie: Generating Vector Animations via Parameterized Lottie Tokens

OmniLottie is a versatile framework that generates high quality vector animations from multi-modal instructions. For flexible motion and visual content control, we focus on Lottie, a light weight JSON formatting for both shapes and animation behaviors representation. However, the raw Lottie JSON files contain extensive invariant structural metadata and formatting tokens, posing significant challenges for learning vector animation generation. Therefore, we introduce a well designed Lottie tokenizer that transforms JSON files into structured sequences of commands and parameters representing shapes, animation functions and control parameters. Such tokenizer enables us to build OmniLottie upon pretrained vision language models to follow multi-modal interleaved instructions and generate high quality vector animations. To further advance research in vector animation generation, we curate MMLottie-2M, a large scale dataset of professionally designed vector animations paired with textual and visual annotations. With extensive experiments, we validate that OmniLottie can produce vivid and semantically aligned vector animations that adhere closely to multi modal human instructions.

BEAP-Agent: Backtrackable Execution and Adaptive Planning for GUI Agents

GUI agents are designed to automate repetitive tasks and enhance productivity. However, existing GUI agents struggle to recover once they follow an incorrect exploration path, often leading to task failure. In this work, we model GUI task execution as a DFS process and propose BEAP-Agent, a DFS-based framework that supports long-range, multi-level state backtracking with dynamic task tracking and updating. The framework consists of three collaborative components: Planner, Executor, and Tracker. Together, they enable effective task exploration and execution. BEAP-Agent fills the gap in systematic backtracking mechanisms for GUI agents, offering a systematic solution for long-horizon task exploration. We conducted a systematic evaluation on the OSWorld benchmark, where BEAP-Agent achieved an accuracy of 28.2%, validating the effectiveness of the proposed method.

ReEx-SQL: Reasoning with Execution-Aware Reinforcement Learning for Text-to-SQL

In Text-to-SQL, execution feedback is essential for guiding large language models (LLMs) to reason accurately and generate reliable SQL queries. However, existing methods treat execution feedback solely as a post-hoc signal for correction or selection, failing to integrate it into the generation process. This limitation hinders their ability to address reasoning errors as they occur, ultimately reducing query accuracy and robustness. To address this issue, we propose ReEx-SQL (Reasoning with Execution-Aware Reinforcement Learning), a framework for Text-to-SQL that enables models to interact with the database during decoding and dynamically adjust their reasoning based on execution feedback. ReEx-SQL introduces an execution-aware reasoning paradigm that interleaves intermediate SQL execution into reasoning paths, facilitating context-sensitive revisions. It achieves this through structured prompts with markup tags and a stepwise rollout strategy that integrates execution feedback into each stage of generation. To supervise policy learning, we develop a composite reward function that includes an exploration reward, explicitly encouraging effective database interaction. Additionally, ReEx-SQL adopts a tree-based decoding strategy to support exploratory reasoning, enabling dynamic expansion of alternative reasoning paths. Notably, ReEx-SQL achieves 88.8% on Spider and 64.9% on BIRD at the 7B scale, surpassing the standard reasoning baseline by 2.7% and 2.6%, respectively. It also shows robustness, achieving 85.2% on Spider-Realistic with leading performance. In addition, its tree-structured decoding improves efficiency and performance over linear decoding, reducing inference time by 51.9% on the BIRD development set.

StyleMe3D: Stylization with Disentangled Priors by Multiple Encoders on 3D Gaussians

Current 3D Gaussian Splatting stylization approaches are limited in their ability to represent diverse artistic styles, frequently defaulting to low-level texture replacement or yielding semantically inconsistent outputs. In this paper, we introduce StyleMe3D, a novel hierarchical framework that achieves comprehensive, high-fidelity stylization by disentangling multi-level style representations while preserving geometric fidelity. The cornerstone of StyleMe3D is Dynamic Style Score Distillation (DSSD), which harnesses latent priors from a style-aware diffusion model to provide high-level semantic guidance, ensuring robust and expressive style transfer. To further refine this distillation process, we propose a multi-modal alignment strategy using the CLIP latent space: a CLIP-based style stream evaluator (Contrastive Style Descriptor) that enforces middle-level stylistic similarity, and a CLIP-based content stream evaluator (3D Gaussian Quality Assessment) that acts as a global regularizer to mitigate typical GS quality degradation. Finally, a VGG-based Simultaneously Optimized Scale module is integrated to refine fine-grained texture details at the low-level. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method consistently preserves intricate geometric details and achieves coherent stylistic effects across entire scenes, significantly surpassing state-of-the-art baselines in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations.

OmniSVG: A Unified Scalable Vector Graphics Generation Model

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is an important image format widely adopted in graphic design because of their resolution independence and editability. The study of generating high-quality SVG has continuously drawn attention from both designers and researchers in the AIGC community. However, existing methods either produces unstructured outputs with huge computational cost or is limited to generating monochrome icons of over-simplified structures. To produce high-quality and complex SVG, we propose OmniSVG, a unified framework that leverages pre-trained Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for end-to-end multimodal SVG generation. By parameterizing SVG commands and coordinates into discrete tokens, OmniSVG decouples structural logic from low-level geometry for efficient training while maintaining the expressiveness of complex SVG structure. To further advance the development of SVG synthesis, we introduce MMSVG-2M, a multimodal dataset with two million richly annotated SVG assets, along with a standardized evaluation protocol for conditional SVG generation tasks. Extensive experiments show that OmniSVG outperforms existing methods and demonstrates its potential for integration into professional SVG design workflows.

Evaluating Clinical Competencies of Large Language Models with a General Practice Benchmark

Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated considerable potential in general practice. However, existing benchmarks and evaluation frameworks primarily depend on exam-style or simplified question-answer formats, lacking a competency-based structure aligned with the real-world clinical responsibilities encountered in general practice. Consequently, the extent to which LLMs can reliably fulfill the duties of general practitioners (GPs) remains uncertain. In this work, we propose a novel evaluation framework to assess the capability of LLMs to function as GPs. Based on this framework, we introduce a general practice benchmark (GPBench), whose data are meticulously annotated by domain experts in accordance with routine clinical practice standards. We evaluate ten state-of-the-art LLMs and analyze their competencies. Our findings indicate that current LLMs are not suitable for autonomous deployment in clinical general practice and that all realistic applications require continuous human oversight; further optimization specifically tailored to the daily responsibilities of GPs remains essential.

Scene123: One Prompt to 3D Scene Generation via Video-Assisted and Consistency-Enhanced MAE

As Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) advances, a variety of methods have been developed to generate text, images, videos, and 3D objects from single or multimodal inputs, contributing efforts to emulate human-like cognitive content creation. However, generating realistic large-scale scenes from a single input presents a challenge due to the complexities involved in ensuring consistency across extrapolated views generated by models. Benefiting from recent video generation models and implicit neural representations, we propose Scene123, a 3D scene generation model, that not only ensures realism and diversity through the video generation framework but also uses implicit neural fields combined with Masked Autoencoders (MAE) to effectively ensures the consistency of unseen areas across views. Specifically, we initially warp the input image (or an image generated from text) to simulate adjacent views, filling the invisible areas with the MAE model. However, these filled images usually fail to maintain view consistency, thus we utilize the produced views to optimize a neural radiance field, enhancing geometric consistency. Moreover, to further enhance the details and texture fidelity of generated views, we employ a GAN-based Loss against images derived from the input image through the video generation model. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method can generate realistic and consistent scenes from a single prompt. Both qualitative and quantitative results indicate that our approach surpasses existing state-of-the-art methods. V2VSSC: A 3D Semantic Scene Completion Benchmark for Perception with Vehicle to Vehicle Communication

Semantic scene completion (SSC) has recently gained popularity because it can provide both semantic and geometric information that can be used directly for autonomous vehicle navigation. However, there are still challenges to overcome. SSC is often hampered by occlusion and short-range perception due to sensor limitations, which can pose safety risks. This paper proposes a fundamental solution to this problem by leveraging vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication. We propose the first generalized collaborative SSC framework that allows autonomous vehicles to share sensing information from different sensor views to jointly perform SSC tasks. To validate the proposed framework, we further build V2VSSC, the first V2V SSC benchmark, on top of the large-scale V2V perception dataset OPV2V. Extensive experiments demonstrate that by leveraging V2V communication, the SSC performance can be increased by 8.3% on geometric metric IoU and 6.0% mIOU.

VQ-NeRF: Vector Quantization Enhances Implicit Neural Representations

Recent advancements in implicit neural representations have contributed to high-fidelity surface reconstruction and photorealistic novel view synthesis. However, the computational complexity inherent in these methodologies presents a substantial impediment, constraining the attainable frame rates and resolutions in practical applications. In response to this predicament, we propose VQ-NeRF, an effective and efficient pipeline for enhancing implicit neural representations via vector quantization. The essence of our method involves reducing the sampling space of NeRF to a lower resolution and subsequently reinstating it to the original size utilizing a pre-trained VAE decoder, thereby effectively mitigating the sampling time bottleneck encountered during rendering. Although the codebook furnishes representative features, reconstructing fine texture details of the scene remains challenging due to high compression rates. To overcome this constraint, we design an innovative multi-scale NeRF sampling scheme that concurrently optimizes the NeRF model at both compressed and original scales to enhance the network's ability to preserve fine details. Furthermore, we incorporate a semantic loss function to improve the geometric fidelity and semantic coherence of our 3D reconstructions. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our model in achieving the optimal trade-off between rendering quality and efficiency. Evaluation on the DTU, BlendMVS, and H3DS datasets confirms the superior performance of our approach.

Progression Cognition Reinforcement Learning with Prioritized Experience for Multi-Vehicle Pursuit

Multi-vehicle pursuit (MVP) such as autonomous police vehicles pursuing suspects is important but very challenging due to its mission and safety critical nature. While multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) algorithms have been proposed for MVP problem in structured grid-pattern roads, the existing algorithms use randomly training samples in centralized learning, which leads to homogeneous agents showing low collaboration performance. For the more challenging problem of pursuing multiple evading vehicles, these algorithms typically select a fixed target evading vehicle for pursuing vehicles without considering dynamic traffic situation, which significantly reduces pursuing success rate. To address the above problems, this paper proposes a Progression Cognition Reinforcement Learning with Prioritized Experience for MVP (PEPCRL-MVP) in urban multi-intersection dynamic traffic scenes. PEPCRL-MVP uses a prioritization network to assess the transitions in the global experience replay buffer according to the parameters of each MARL agent. With the personalized and prioritized experience set selected via the prioritization network, diversity is introduced to the learning process of MARL, which can improve collaboration and task related performance. Furthermore, PEPCRL-MVP employs an attention module to extract critical features from complex urban traffic environments. These features are used to develop progression cognition method to adaptively group pursuing vehicles. Each group efficiently target one evading vehicle in dynamic driving environments. Extensive experiments conducted with a simulator over unstructured roads of an urban area show that PEPCRL-MVP is superior to other state-of-the-art methods. Specifically, PEPCRL-MVP improves pursuing efficiency by 3.95% over TD3-DMAP and its success rate is 34.78% higher than that of MADDPG. Codes are open sourced.

An Opponent-Aware Reinforcement Learning Method for Team-to-Team Multi-Vehicle Pursuit via Maximizing Mutual Information Indicator

The pursuit-evasion game in Smart City brings a profound impact on the Multi-vehicle Pursuit (MVP) problem, when police cars cooperatively pursue suspected vehicles. Existing studies on the MVP problems tend to set evading vehicles to move randomly or in a fixed prescribed route. The opponent modeling method has proven considerable promise in tackling the non-stationary caused by the adversary agent. However, most of them focus on two-player competitive games and easy scenarios without the interference of environments. This paper considers a Team-to-Team Multi-vehicle Pursuit (T2TMVP) problem in the complicated urban traffic scene where the evading vehicles adopt the pre-trained dynamic strategies to execute decisions intelligently. To solve this problem, we propose an opponent-aware reinforcement learning via maximizing mutual information indicator (OARLM2I2) method to improve pursuit efficiency in the complicated environment. First, a sequential encoding-based opponents joint strategy modeling (SEOJSM) mechanism is proposed to generate evading vehicles' joint strategy model, which assists the multi-agent decision-making process based on deep Q-network (DQN). Then, we design a mutual information-united loss, simultaneously considering the reward fed back from the environment and the effectiveness of opponents' joint strategy model, to update pursuing vehicles' decision-making process. Extensive experiments based on SUMO demonstrate our method outperforms other baselines by 21.48% on average in reducing pursuit time. Graded-Q Reinforcement Learning with Information-Enhanced State Encoder for Hierarchical Collaborative Multi-Vehicle Pursuit

The multi-vehicle pursuit (MVP), as a problem abstracted from various real-world scenarios, is becoming a hot research topic in Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). The combination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and connected vehicles has greatly promoted the research development of MVP. However, existing works on MVP pay little attention to the importance of information exchange and cooperation among pursuing vehicles under the complex urban traffic environment. This paper proposed a graded-Q reinforcement learning with information-enhanced state encoder (GQRL-IESE) framework to address this hierarchical collaborative multi-vehicle pursuit (HCMVP) problem. In the GQRL-IESE, a cooperative graded Q scheme is proposed to facilitate the decision-making of pursuing vehicles to improve pursuing efficiency. Each pursuing vehicle further uses a deep Q network (DQN) to make decisions based on its encoded state. A coordinated Q optimizing network adjusts the individual decisions based on the current environment traffic information to obtain the global optimal action set. In addition, an information-enhanced state encoder is designed to extract critical information from multiple perspectives and uses the attention mechanism to assist each pursuing vehicle in effectively determining the target. Extensive experimental results based on SUMO indicate that the total timestep of the proposed GQRL-IESE is less than other methods on average by 47.64%, which demonstrates the excellent pursuing efficiency of the GQRL-IESE. Confidence Estimation Transformer for Long-term Renewable Energy Forecasting in Reinforcement Learning-based Power Grid Dispatching

The expansion of renewable energy could help realizing the goals of peaking carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutralization. Some existing grid dispatching methods integrating short-term renewable energy prediction and reinforcement learning (RL) have been proved to alleviate the adverse impact of energy fluctuations risk. However, these methods omit the long-term output prediction, which leads to stability and security problems on the optimal power flow. This paper proposes a confidence estimation Transformer for long-term renewable energy forecasting in reinforcement learning-based power grid dispatching (Conformer-RLpatching). Conformer-RLpatching predicts long-term active output of each renewable energy generator with an enhanced Transformer to boost the performance of hybrid energy grid dispatching. Furthermore, a confidence estimation method is proposed to reduce the prediction error of renewable energy. Meanwhile, a dispatching necessity evaluation mechanism is put forward to decide whether the active output of a generator needs to be adjusted. Experiments carried out on the SG-126 power grid simulator show that Conformer-RLpatching achieves great improvement over the second best algorithm DDPG in security score by 25.8% and achieves a better total reward compared with the golden medal team in the power grid dispatching competition sponsored by State Grid Corporation of China under the same simulation environment. $ \text{T}^3 $OMVP: A Transformer-based Time and Team Reinforcement Learning Scheme for Observation-constrained Multi-Vehicle Pursuit in Urban Area

Smart Internet of Vehicles (IoVs) combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI) will contribute to vehicle decision-making in the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Multi-Vehicle Pursuit games (MVP), a multi-vehicle cooperative ability to capture mobile targets, is becoming a hot research topic gradually. Although there are some achievements in the field of MVP in the open space environment, the urban area brings complicated road structures and restricted moving spaces as challenges to the resolution of MVP games. We define an Observation-constrained MVP (OMVP) problem in this paper and propose a Transformer-based Time and Team Reinforcement Learning scheme ($ \text{T}^3 $OMVP) to address the problem. First, a new multi-vehicle pursuit model is constructed based on decentralized partially observed Markov decision processes (Dec-POMDP) to instantiate this problem. Second, by introducing and modifying the transformer-based observation sequence, QMIX is redefined to adapt to the complicated road structure, restricted moving spaces and constrained observations, so as to control vehicles to pursue the target combining the vehicle's observations. Third, a multi-intersection urban environment is built to verify the proposed scheme. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed $ \text{T}^3 $OMVP scheme achieves significant improvements relative to state-of-the-art QMIX approaches by 9.66%~106.25%. KGSynNet: A Novel Entity Synonyms Discovery Framework with Knowledge Graph

Entity synonyms discovery is crucial for entity-leveraging applications. However, existing studies suffer from several critical issues: (1) the input mentions may be out-of-vocabulary (OOV) and may come from a different semantic space of the entities; (2) the connection between mentions and entities may be hidden and cannot be established by surface matching; and (3) some entities rarely appear due to the long-tail effect. To tackle these challenges, we facilitate knowledge graphs and propose a novel entity synonyms discovery framework, named \emph{KGSynNet}. Specifically, we pre-train subword embeddings for mentions and entities using a large-scale domain-specific corpus while learning the knowledge embeddings of entities via a joint TransC-TransE model. More importantly, to obtain a comprehensive representation of entities, we employ a specifically designed \emph{fusion gate} to adaptively absorb the entities' knowledge information into their semantic features. We conduct extensive experiments to demonstrate the effectiveness of our \emph{KGSynNet} in leveraging the knowledge graph. The experimental results show that the \emph{KGSynNet} improves the state-of-the-art methods by 14.7\% in terms of hits@3 in the offline evaluation and outperforms the BERT model by 8.3\% in the positive feedback rate of an online A/B test on the entity linking module of a question answering system.
