Gelfand-Kirillov dimension and mod p cohomology for GL2

Let $p$ be a prime number, $F$ a totally real number field unramified at places above $p$ and $D$ a quaternion algebra of center $F$ split at places above $p$ and at no more than one infinite place. Let $v$ be a fixed place of $F$ above $p$ and $\overline{r} : {\rm Gal}(\overline F/F)\rightarrow \mathrm{GL}_2(\overline{\mathbb{F}}_p)$ an irreducible modular continuous Galois representation which, at the place $v$, is semisimple and sufficiently generic (and satisfies some weak genericity conditions at a few other finite places). We prove that many of the admissible smooth representations of $\mathrm{GL}_2(F_v)$ over $\overline{\mathbb{F}}_p$ associated to $\overline{r}$ in the corresponding Hecke-eigenspaces of the mod $p$ cohomology have Gelfand--Kirillov dimension $[F_v:\mathbb{Q}]$, as well as several related results.

On the mod $p$ cohomology for $\mathrm{GL}_2$: the non-semisimple case

Let $F$ be a totally real field unramified at all places above $p$ and $D$ be a quaternion algebra which splits at either none, or exactly one, of the infinite places. Let $\bar{r}:\mathrm{Gal}(\bar{F}/F)\to \mathrm{GL}_2(\bar{\mathbb{F}}_p)$ be a continuous irreducible representation which, when restricted to a fixed place $v|p$, is non-semisimple and sufficiently generic. Under some mild assumptions, we prove that the admissible smooth representations of $\mathrm{GL}_2(F_v)$ occurring in the corresponding Hecke eigenspaces of the mod $p$ cohomology of Shimura varieties associated to $D$ have Gelfand-Kirillov dimension $[F_v:\mathbb{Q}_p]$. We also prove that any such representation can be generated as a $\mathrm{GL}_2(F_v)$-representation by its subspace of invariants under the first principal congruence subgroup. If moreover $[F_v:\mathbb{Q}_p]=2$, we prove that such representations have length $3$, confirming a speculation of Breuil and Paškūnas.

Multiplicities of cohomological automorphic forms on $\mathrm{GL}_2$ and mod $p$ representations of $\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$

We prove a new upper bound for the dimension of the space of cohomological automorphic forms of fixed level and growing parallel weight on $\mathrm{GL}_2$ over a number field which is not totally real, improving the one obtained by Marshall. The main tool of the proof is the mod $p$ representation theory of $\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$ as started by Barthel-Livne and Breuil, and developed by Paskunas.

Multiplicity one for the mod $p$ cohomology of Shimura curves: the tame case

Let $F$ be a totally real field, $\mathfrak{p}$ an unramified place of $F$ dividing $p$ and $\overline{r}: \mathrm{Gal}(\overline{F}/F)\rightarrow\mathrm{GL}_2(\overline{\mathbb{F}}_p)$ a continuous irreducible modular representation. The work of Buzzard, Diamond and Jarvis associates to $\overline{r}$ an admissible smooth representation of $\mathrm{GL}_2(F_\mathfrak{p})$ on the mod $p$ cohomology of Shimura curves attached to indefinite division algebras which split at $\mathfrak{p}$. When $\overline{r}|_{\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{F_\mathfrak{p}}/F_\mathfrak{p})}$ is tamely ramified and generic (and under some technical assumptions), we determine the subspace of invariants of this representation under the principal congruence subgroup of level $\mathfrak{p}$. In particular, it depends only on $\overline{r}|_{\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{F_\mathfrak{p}}/F_\mathfrak{p})}$ and verifies a multiplicity one property.

The Breuil-Mezard conjecture for non-scalar split residual representations

We prove the Breuil-Mezard conjecture for split non-scalar residual representations of Gal(Qp/Qp) by local methods. Combined with the cases previously proved in [18] and [24], this completes the proof of the conjecture (when p>3). As a consequence, the local restriction in the proof of the Fontaine-Mazur conjecture in [18] is removed.

Diagrammes canoniques et representations modulo $p$ de $\GL_2(F)$

Let $p$ be a prime number and $F$ a local field with residual characteristic $p$. In this article, to an irreducible smooth representation of $GL_2(F)$ over $\bar{\mathbf{F}}_p$ with central character, we associate canonically a diagram which determines the original representation up to isomorphism. We also determine it in some cases.

Sur quelques représentations supersingulières de $GL_2(Q_{p^f})$

Let p>3 be a prime, f a positive integer and Q_{p^f} the unramified extension of Q_p of degree f. After Breuil and Paskunas, to a generic semi-simple continue modulo p representation of the absolute Galois group of Q_{p^f}, we can associate a parameterized family of smooth admissible modulo p representations of GL_2(Q_{p^f}). In this article, we prove that there are more parameters than those known.

Normes invariantes et existence de filtrations admissibles

Let L be a finite extension of Q_p and d a positive integer. A conjecture, due to C. Breuil and P. Schneider, says that the existence of invariant norms on certain locally algebraic representations of GL_{d+1}(L) should be equivalent to the existence of certain (d+1)-dimensional de Rham representations of Gal(\bar{L}/L). We prove the easy direction of this conjecture: the existence of invariant norms implies the existence of admissible filtrations, by generalizing an idea of M.Emerton.
