Contrastive Mask Fidelity: Reference-Free Auditing of Ground-Truth Masks in Remote Sensing Semantic Segmentation

Semantic segmentation models are trained and evaluated against human-drawn masks, yet remote-sensing annotations are often coarse, incomplete, or misaligned; high overlap scores may then reflect agreement with imperfect labels rather than faithfulness to the image, creating an evaluation paradox. We introduce Contrastive Mask Fidelity (CMF), a training-free, reference-free metric that scores competing class masks directly against image evidence. CMF composites keep and erase counterfactual views of each mask and asks a frozen vision-language judge whether class evidence is concentrated inside the mask and absent outside. We validate CMF on controlled mask corruptions, then audit 10,731 image-class pairs across ten remote-sensing benchmarks using candidate masks from Seg-Probe, a training-free open-vocabulary probe built on SegEarth-OV3 that outperforms prior baselines on nine of ten datasets. The audit reveals systematic, class-dependent annotation distortion: man-made classes such as buildings, roads, and cars favor the candidate mask on 62-85% of pairs, whereas ambiguous land cover more often favors human annotations. On a blinded three-annotator consensus, CMF matches expert judgment on 81% of pairs, exceeding keep-only scoring, model confidence, and a trained label-quality baseline. Finally, conservative class-wise arbitration yields supervision that improves cross-domain transfer over raw annotations and matched replacement controls, positioning CMF as a scalable tool for auditing ground truth rather than presuming it infallible.

InfoMamba: An Attention-Free Hybrid Mamba-Transformer Model

Balancing fine-grained local modeling with long-range dependency capture under computational constraints remains a central challenge in sequence modeling. While Transformers provide strong token mixing, they suffer from quadratic complexity, whereas Mamba-style selective state-space models (SSMs) scale linearly but often struggle to capture high-rank and synchronous global interactions. We present a consistency boundary analysis that characterizes when diagonal short-memory SSMs can approximate causal attention and identifies structural gaps that remain. Motivated by this analysis, we propose InfoMamba, an attention-free hybrid architecture. InfoMamba replaces token-level self-attention with a concept bottleneck linear filtering layer that serves as a minimal-bandwidth global interface and integrates it with a selective recurrent stream through information-maximizing fusion (IMF). IMF dynamically injects global context into the SSM dynamics and encourages complementary information usage through a mutual-information-inspired objective. Extensive experiments on classification, dense prediction, and non-vision tasks show that InfoMamba consistently outperforms strong Transformer and SSM baselines, achieving competitive accuracy-efficiency trade-offs while maintaining near-linear scaling.

Social-JEPA: Emergent Geometric Isomorphism

World models compress rich sensory streams into compact latent codes that anticipate future observations. We let separate agents acquire such models from distinct viewpoints of the same environment without any parameter sharing or coordination. After training, their internal representations exhibit a striking emergent property: the two latent spaces are related by an approximate linear isometry, enabling transparent translation between them. This geometric consensus survives large viewpoint shifts and scant overlap in raw pixels. Leveraging the learned alignment, a classifier trained on one agent can be ported to the other with no additional gradient steps, while distillation-like migration accelerates later learning and markedly reduces total compute. The findings reveal that predictive learning objectives impose strong regularities on representation geometry, suggesting a lightweight path to interoperability among decentralized vision systems. Chimera: Neuro-Symbolic Attention Primitives for Trustworthy Dataplane Intelligence

Deploying expressive learning models directly on programmable dataplanes promises line-rate, low-latency traffic analysis but remains hindered by strict hardware constraints and the need for predictable, auditable behavior. Chimera introduces a principled framework that maps attention-oriented neural computations and symbolic constraints onto dataplane primitives, enabling trustworthy inference within the match-action pipeline. Chimera combines a kernelized, linearized attention approximation with a two-layer key-selection hierarchy and a cascade fusion mechanism that enforces hard symbolic guarantees while preserving neural expressivity. The design includes a hardware-aware mapping protocol and a two-timescale update scheme that together permit stable, line-rate operation under realistic dataplane budgets. The paper presents the Chimera architecture, a hardware mapping strategy, and empirical evidence showing that neuro-symbolic attention primitives can achieve high-fidelity inference within the resource envelope of commodity programmable switches.

ASA: Backbone-Training-Free Representation Engineering for Tool-Calling Agents

Adapting LLM agents to domain-specific tool calling remains notably brittle under evolving interfaces. Prompt and schema engineering is easy to deploy but often fragile under distribution shift and strict parsers, while continual parameter-efficient fine-tuning improves reliability at the cost of training, maintenance, and potential forgetting. We identify a critical Lazy Agent failure mode where tool necessity is nearly perfectly decodable from mid-layer activations, yet the model remains conservative in entering tool mode, revealing a representation-behavior gap. We propose Activation Steering Adapter (ASA), a training-free, inference-time controller that performs a single-shot mid-layer intervention and targets tool domains via a router-conditioned mixture of steering vectors with a probe-guided signed gate to amplify true intent while suppressing spurious triggers. On MTU-Bench with Qwen2.5-1.5B, ASA improves strict tool-use F1 from 0.18 to 0.50 while reducing the false positive rate from 0.15 to 0.05, using only about 20KB of portable assets and no weight updates.

NeuroPareto: Calibrated Acquisition for Costly Many-Goal Search in Vast Parameter Spaces

The pursuit of optimal trade-offs in high-dimensional search spaces under stringent computational constraints poses a fundamental challenge for contemporary multi-objective optimization. We develop NeuroPareto, a cohesive architecture that integrates rank-centric filtering, uncertainty disentanglement, and history-conditioned acquisition strategies to navigate complex objective landscapes. A calibrated Bayesian classifier estimates epistemic uncertainty across non-domination tiers, enabling rapid generation of high-quality candidates with minimal evaluation cost. Deep Gaussian Process surrogates further separate predictive uncertainty into reducible and irreducible components, providing refined predictive means and risk-aware signals for downstream selection. A lightweight acquisition network, trained online from historical hypervolume improvements, guides expensive evaluations toward regions balancing convergence and diversity. With hierarchical screening and amortized surrogate updates, the method maintains accuracy while keeping computational overhead low. Experiments on DTLZ and ZDT suites and a subsurface energy extraction task show that NeuroPareto consistently outperforms classifier-enhanced and surrogate-assisted baselines in Pareto proximity and hypervolume.

zkCraft: Prompt-Guided LLM as a Zero-Shot Mutation Pattern Oracle for TCCT-Powered ZK Fuzzing

Zero-knowledge circuits enable privacy-preserving and scalable systems but are difficult to implement correctly due to the tight coupling between witness computation and circuit constraints. We present zkCraft, a practical framework that combines deterministic, R1CS-aware localization with proof-bearing search to detect semantic inconsistencies. zkCraft encodes candidate constraint edits into a single Row-Vortex polynomial and replaces repeated solver queries with a Violation IOP that certifies the existence of edits together with a succinct proof. Deterministic LLM-driven mutation templates bias exploration toward edge cases while preserving auditable algebraic verification. Evaluation on real Circom code shows that proof-bearing localization detects diverse under- and over-constrained faults with low false positives and reduces costly solver interaction. Our approach bridges formal verification and automated debugging, offering a scalable path for robust ZK circuit development.

MemMamba: Rethinking Memory Patterns in State Space Model

With the explosive growth of data, long-sequence modeling has become increasingly important in tasks such as natural language processing and bioinformatics. However, existing methods face inherent trade-offs between efficiency and memory. Recurrent neural networks suffer from gradient vanishing and explosion, making them hard to scale. Transformers can model global dependencies but are constrained by quadratic complexity. Recently, selective state-space models such as Mamba have demonstrated high efficiency with O(n) time and O(1) recurrent inference, yet their long-range memory decays exponentially. In this work, we conduct mathematical derivations and information-theoretic analysis to systematically uncover the memory decay mechanism of Mamba, answering a fundamental question: what is the nature of Mamba's long-range memory and how does it retain information? To quantify key information loss, we further introduce horizontal-vertical memory fidelity metrics that capture degradation both within and across layers. Inspired by how humans distill and retain salient information when reading long documents, we propose MemMamba, a novel architectural framework that integrates state summarization mechanism together with cross-layer and cross-token attention, which alleviates long-range forgetting while preserving linear complexity. MemMamba achieves significant improvements over existing Mamba variants and Transformers on long-sequence benchmarks such as PG19 and Passkey Retrieval, while delivering a 48% speedup in inference efficiency. Both theoretical analysis and empirical results demonstrate that MemMamba achieves a breakthrough in the complexity-memory trade-off, offering a new paradigm for ultra-long sequence modeling.
