Possible Odderon Effects in Hadron-Nucleon Scattering

We consider the possible contribution of Odderon (Reggeon with α_{Odd}(0) \sim 1 and negative signature) exchange to the differences in the total cross sections of particle and antiparticle, to the ratios of real/imaginary parts of the elastic pp amplitude, and to the differences in the inclusive spectra of particle and antiparticle in the central region. The experimental differences in total cross sections of particle and antiparticle are compatible with the existence of the Odderon component but such a large Odderon contribution seems to be inconsistent with the values of Re/Im ratios. In the case of inclusive particle and antiparticle production the current energies and/or accuracy of the experimental data don't allow a clear conclusion.

Production of Secondaries in pp Collisions at RHIC Energies

The midrapidity inclusive densities of different secondaries are calculated in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model. The transfer of baryon number in rapidity space due to the gluon string junction propagation leads to a significant effect on the net baryon production. The numerical results are in reasonable agreement with RHIC experimental data.

Production of Secondaries in High Energy d+Au Collisions

In the framework of Quark-Gluon String Model we calculate the inclusive spectra of secondaries produced in d+Au collisions at intermediate (CERN SPS) and at much higher (RHIC) energies. The results of numerical calculations at intermediate energies are in reasonable agreement with the data. At RHIC energies numerically large inelastic screening corrections (percolation effects) should be accounted for in calculations. We extract these effects from the existing RHIC experimental data on minimum bias and central d+Au collisions. The predictions for p+Au interactions at LHC energy are also given.

Midrapidity Production of Secondaries in pp Collisions at RHIC and LHC Energies in the Quark-Gluon String Model

We consider the phenomenological implications of the assumption that baryons are systems of three quarks connected through gluon string junction. The transfer of baryon number in rapidity space due to the string junction propagation is considered in detail. At high energies this process leads to a significant effect on the net baryon production in hN collisions at mid-rapidities. The numerical results for midrapidity inclusive densities of different secondaries in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model are in reasonable agreement with the experimental data. One universal value lambda ~ 0.25 for the strangeness suppression parameter correctly describes the yield ratios of Lambda/p, Xi/Lambda, and Omega/Xi. The predictions for pp collisions at LHC energies are also presented.

Secondary Baryon Asymmetry in pi(+-)p Collisions

The process of secondary baryon production in pi(+-)p collisions at high energies in the central and forward fragmentation regions is considered in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model. The contribution of the string-junction mechanism to the baryon production is analysed. The results of numerical calculations are in reasonable agreement with the experimental data on the Lambda/bar(Lambda) and p/bar(p)$ asymmetries.

Open Charm Production in pp and Heavy Ion Collisions in QCD

The RHIC data on charm production are compared with the kT-factorization approach predictions, both standard NLO QCD and FONLL. The calculated results underestimate the STAR Collaboration data. The role of possible nuclear effects is discussed.

String Junction and Diffusion of Baryon Charge in Multiparticle Production Processes

We consider the phenomenological consequences of the assumption that the baryons are the systems of three quarks and string junction. The process of baryon number transfer due to string junction propagation in rapidity space is considered in detail. At high energies it leads to a significant effect in the net baryon production in $hN$ and $hA$ collisions at mid-rapidities and in the incident meson fragmentation region. The results of numerical calculations in the framework of the Quark--Gluon String Model are in reasonable agreement with the data.

Production of Secondaries in High Energy Heavy Ion Collisions

In the framework of Quark-Gluon String Model we calculate the inclusive spectra of secondaries produced in heavy ion collisions at intermediate (CERN SPS) and at much higher (RHIC) energies. We demonstrate that the mechanism of secondary production changed drastically in the energy interval $\sqrt{s} = 20 - 60$ GeV and that is in agreement with qualitative estimates of Glauber-Gribov theory. The results of numerical calculations at intermediate energies are in reasonable agreement with the data. At RHIC energies numerically large inelastic screening corrections should be accounted for in calculations.

Strange baryon production asymmetry in K(+-)N interactions

The asymmetry of strange baryon production in Kp interactions at high energies is considered in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model. The contribution of the String-Junction Mechanism to the strange baryon production is analysed.

Tetraquarks and Pentaquarks in String Models

We consider the production and decay of multiquark systems in the framework of string models where the hadron structure is determined by valence quarks together with string junctions. We show that the low mass multiquark resonances can be very narrow.

Quark-Gluon String Model Description of Baryon Production in K^{\pm}N Interactions

The process of baryon production in K p collisions at high energies is considered in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model. The contribution of the string-junction mechanism to the strange baryon production is analysed. The results of numerical calculations are in reasonable agreement with the data on inclusive spectra of p, Lambda, bar{Lambda}, and on the bar{Lambda}/Lambda asymmetry. The predictions for Xi and Omega baryons are presented.

String Junction Effects for Forward and Central Baryon Production in Hadron-Nucleus Collisions

The process of baryon number transfer due to string junction propagation in rapidity space is considered. It leads to a significant effect in the net baryon production in pA collisions at mid-rapidities and an even more significant effect in the forward hemisphere for the cases of πA interactions. The results of numerical calculations in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model are in reasonable agreement with the data. Special consideration is given to Λproduced in {π^-}-A collisions extracted from data of WA89 Collaboration.

J/Psi and Drell-Yan pair production on nuclear targets

We estimate the energy losses in the cases of J/Psi and l^+l^- pair production on nuclear targets in terms of effective change of the initial beam energy. Our phenomenological results are in reasonable agreement with Theoretical calculations.

Nuclear effects in leptoproduction of secondaries

We estimate the energy losses in the case of deep-inelastic scattering on nuclear targets in terms of the effective change of the virtual photon energy. Our phenomenological results are in reasonable agreement with theoretical calculations. The difference in secondary production processes in hard and soft interactions is discussed.

Baryon Number Transfer in High Energy $hp$ Collisions

The process of baryon number transfer due to string junction propagation in rapidity is considered. It has a significant effect in the net baryon production in $pp$ collisions at mid-rapidities and an even larger effect in the forward hemisphere in the cases of $πp$ and $γp$ interactions. The results of numerical calculations in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model are in reasonable agreement with the data with the same parameter values for different energies.

Heavy Quark Hadroproduction in $k_T$-Factorization Approach with Unintegrated Gluon Distributions

We consider the processes of compare the heavy quark production using the unintegrated gluon distributions. The numerical predictions for high energy nucleon-nucleon and photon-nucleon collisions of the $k_T$-factorization approach (semihard theory) are compared with the experimental data from Tevatron-collider and HERA. The total production cross sections and $p_T$ distributions are considered and they are in reasonable agreement with the data for rather value of QCD scale.

We discuss the model predictions for antibaryon/baryon production ratios in high energy heavy ion collisions. The role of string junction mechanism of baryon number transfer seems to be very important here and we consider some quantitative results.
