Cosmic Ray Energy Spectrum and Mass Composition from 10^15 to 10^17 eV by Data of the Tunka EAS Cherenkov Array

We present results of an improved analysis of the experimental data of the EAS Cherenkov array Tunka-25. A new function to fit the Cherenkov light lateral distribution LDF at core distances from 0 to 350 m has been developed on the base of CORSIKA simulations and applied to the analysis of Tunka data. Two methods to estimate the EAS maximum position have been used. The one is based on the pulse FWHM, the other on the light LDF. We present the primary energy spectrum in the energy range 10^15 - 10^17 eV. The use of the depth of the EAS maximum to determine the mean mass composition is discussed.

Observation of Optical Flashes of the Night Star Sky on the Atmospheric Cherenkov Installation Tunka-13

Experiment on the study of fluctuation of night glow is conducted on the base of 13 module atmospheric Cherenkov telescope TUNKA-13.Basic task of TUNKA-13 is registration of light from Extended Air Shower (EAS) initiated by primary cosmic particles. Observation of light flashes radiating in nigght atmosphere is one more experiment which is run for TUNKA-13 to study the background condition for EAS registration. At a period from December 1997 on a May 1998 was registered 149 light flashes of radiwting night atmosphere with duration from 16 ms to 190 seconds. General time of night observing has formed 237 hours. Coincidence of optical flashes with the gamma-bursts from the catalogue of BATSE experiment of observatories "Compton" was analysed.

The Experimental Limits on Q-ball Flux with the Baikal Deep Underwater Array "Gyrlyanda"

Supersymmetric models allow for stable non-topological solitons, Q-balls, which can be produced in the early Universe and contribute to dark matter. Experimental signature of electrically neutral Q-balls is, in fact, the same as is expected for superheavy magnetic monopoles catalyzing baryon decay. Here we use the upper limits on monopole flux obtained with deep underwater Cherenkov array "Gyrlyanda" which operated in the Baikal lake in 1984-90 with 267 days of live time to obtain the limit on Q-ball flux. The last has been found to be equal to 3.9 x 10^{-16} cm^{-2} sr^{-1} s^{-1} (90% CL). This result is discussed and compared with other restrictions.
