Symmetry-Resolved Entanglement Entropy from Heat Kernels

We develop a systematic framework for computing symmetry-resolved entanglement entropies (SREE) in charged quantum systems based on an improved heat kernel approach. Although the conventional Sommerfeld formula proves effective for neutral systems, it encounters limitations when gauge fields or chemical potentials are introduced due to incomplete residue prescriptions and violations of asymptotic boundary conditions. By reconstructing the analytic structure of the heat kernel using a phase factor, we derive a globally convergent expansion that reconciles discrete residue summations with continuous spectral decompositions. We further apply this framework to Gaussian continuous multi-scale entanglement renormalization ansatz (cMERA) states and show that the entanglement entropy (EE) can be expressed in terms of the cMERA flow functions. In particular, we obtain a symmetry-resolved entanglement entropy flow equation in the presence of a chemical potential. This formulation extends naturally to arbitrary spacetime dimensions and recovers established results for neutral systems in the mu -> 0 limit. We validate our framework through two settings: (1) exact agreement with (1+1)-dimensional conformal field theory (CFT) predictions using twist-operator techniques, and (2) consistency with holographic entropy calculations on S1 x H^(d-1) geometries. Our results both unify the treatment of charged and neutral entanglement entropy and extend this treatment to real-space renormalization frameworks, providing a robust tool for probing symmetry-resolved entanglement in conformal field theories, their holographic duals, and cMERA representations.

Open Topological String Amplitudes and BPS Invariants on Complete Intersection Calabi-Yau Threefolds

Open topological string partition function on compact Calabi-Yau threefolds satisfies the extended holomorphic anomaly equation. By direct integration, we solve these equations and obtain partition functions for first several genus and boundaries on complete intersection Calabi-Yau threefolds. Complemented by the unoriented worldsheet contribution, the annulus functions encode the genus one BPS invariants.

D-brane Superpotentials and Geometric Invariants in Complete Intersection Calabi-Yau Manifolds

By blowing up the ambient space along the curve wrapped by B-branes, we study the brane superpotentials and Ooguri-Vafa invariants on complete intersections Calabi-Yau threefolds. On the topological B-model side, B-brane superpotentials are expressed in terms of the period integral of the blow-up manifolds. By mirror maps, the superpotentials are generating functions of Ooguri-Vafa invariants counting holomorphic disks on the topological A-model side.

The Number of Rational Points of Two Parameter Calabi-Yau manifolds as Toric Hypersurfaces

The number of rational points in toric data are given for two-parameter Calabi-Yau $n$-folds as toric hypersurfaces over finite fields $\mathbb F_p$ . We find that the fundamental period is equal to the number of rational points of the Calabi-Yau $n$-folds in zeroth order $p$-adic expansion. By analyzing the solution set of the GKZ-system given by the enhanced polyhedron, we deduce that under type II/F-theory duality the 3D and 4D Calabi-Yau manifolds have the same number of rational points in zeroth order. Taking the quintic and its duality as an example, the number of rational points in some specific complex moduli are given by numerical calculation to support our results.

Superpotentials of D-branes in Calabi-Yau Manifolds with Several Moduli by Mirror Symmetry and Blown-up

We study B-brane superpotentials depending on several closed- and open- moduli on Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces and complete intersections. By blowing up the ambient space along a curve wrapped by B-branes in a Calabi-Yau manifold, we obtain a blow-up new manifold and the period integral satisfying the GKZ-system. Via mirror symmetry to A-model, we calculate the superpotentials and extract Ooguri-Vafa invariants for concrete examples of several open-closed moduli in Calabi-Yau manifolds.
