On the structure of complete $G_2$-solitons

In this work, we establish compactness theorems for complete gradient $G_2$-solitons under the assumptions of a lower bound on the scalar curvature and a broad growth condition on the potential function associated with the gradient vector field. After first proving Gromov-Hausdorff convergence for such sequences, we sharpen this result by deriving epsilon-regularity estimates. As a consequence, we obtain smooth convergence provided there is a uniform energy bound at half the dimension.

Local and Global Log-Gradient estimates of solutions to $Δ_pv+bv^q+cv^r =0$ on manifolds and applications

In this paper, we employ the Nash-Moser iteration technique to study local and global properties of positive solutions to the equation $$Δ_pv+bv^q+cv^r =0$$ on complete Riemannian manifolds with Ricci curvature bounded from below, where $b, c\in\mathbb R$, $p>1$, and $q\leq r$ are some real constants. Assuming certain conditions on $b,\, c,\, p,\, q$ and $r$, we derive succinct Cheng-Yau type gradient estimates for positive solutions, which is of sharp form. These gradient estimates allow us to obtain some Liouville-type theorems and Harnack inequalities. Our Liouville-type results are novel even in Euclidean spaces. Based on the local gradient estimates and a trick of Sung and Wang, we also obtain the global gradient estimates for such solutions. As applications we show the uniqueness of positive solutions to some generalized Allen-Cahn equation and Fisher-KPP equation.

Ricci curvature integrals, local functionals, and the Ricci flow

Consider a Riemannian manifold $(M^{m}, g)$ whose volume is the same as the standard sphere $(S^{m}, g_{round})$. If $p>\frac{m}{2}$ and $\int_{M} \left\{ Rc-(m-1)g\right\}_{-}^{p} dv$ is sufficiently small, we show that the normalized Ricci flow initiated from $(M^{m}, g)$ will exist immortally and converge to the standard sphere. The choice of $p$ is optimal.
