Movable Antenna Enhanced MIMO Communications with Spatial Modulation

Movable antenna (MA) has demonstrated great potential in enhancing wireless communication performance. In this paper, we investigate an MA-enabled multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication system with spatial modulation (SM), which improves communication performance by utilizing flexible MA placement while reducing the cost of RF chains. To this end, we propose a joint transceiver design framework aimed at minimizing the bit error rate (BER) based on the maximum minimum distance (MMD) criterion. To address the intractable problem, we develop an efficient iterative algorithm based on alternating optimization (AO) and successive convex approximation (SCA) techniques. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves rapid convergence performance and significantly outperforms the existing benchmark schemes.

SKANet: A Cognitive Dual-Stream Framework with Adaptive Modality Fusion for Robust Compound GNSS Interference Classification

As the electromagnetic environment becomes increasingly complex, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) face growing threats from sophisticated jamming interference. Although Deep Learning (DL) effectively identifies basic interference, classifying compound interference remains difficult due to the superposition of diverse jamming sources. Existing single-domain approaches often suffer from performance degradation because transient burst signals and continuous global signals require conflicting feature extraction scales. We propose the Selective Kernel and Asymmetric convolution Network(SKANet), a cognitive deep learning framework built upon a dual-stream architecture that integrates Time-Frequency Images (TFIs) and Power Spectral Density (PSD). Distinct from conventional fusion methods that rely on static receptive fields, the proposed architecture incorporates a Multi-Branch Selective Kernel (SK) module combined with Asymmetric Convolution Blocks (ACBs). This mechanism enables the network to dynamically adjust its receptive fields, acting as an adaptive filter that simultaneously captures micro-scale transient features and macro-scale spectral trends within entangled compound signals. To complement this spatial-temporal adaptation, a Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) mechanism is integrated at the fusion stage to adaptively recalibrate the contribution of heterogeneous features from each modality. Evaluations on a dataset of 405,000 samples demonstrate that SKANet achieves an overall accuracy of 96.99\%, exhibiting superior robustness for compound jamming classification, particularly under low Jamming-to-Noise Ratio (JNR) regimes.

PhyG-MoE: A Physics-Guided Mixture-of-Experts Framework for Energy-Efficient GNSS Interference Recognition

Complex electromagnetic interference increasingly compromises Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), threatening the reliability of Space-Air-Ground Integrated Networks (SAGIN). Although deep learning has advanced interference recognition, current static models suffer from a \textbf{fundamental limitation}: they impose a fixed computational topology regardless of the input's physical entropy. This rigidity leads to severe resource mismatch, where simple primitives consume the same processing cost as chaotic, saturated mixtures. To resolve this, this paper introduces PhyG-MoE (Physics-Guided Mixture-of-Experts), a framework designed to \textbf{dynamically align model capacity with signal complexity}. Unlike static architectures, the proposed system employs a spectrum-based gating mechanism that routes signals based on their spectral feature entanglement. A high-capacity TransNeXt expert is activated on-demand to disentangle complex features in saturated scenarios, while lightweight experts handle fundamental signals to minimize latency. Evaluations on 21 jamming categories demonstrate that PhyG-MoE achieves an overall accuracy of 97.58\%. By resolving the intrinsic conflict between static computing and dynamic electromagnetic environments, the proposed framework significantly reduces computational overhead without performance degradation, offering a viable solution for resource-constrained cognitive receivers.

JSR-GFNet: Jamming-to-Signal Ratio-Aware Dynamic Gating for Interference Classification in future Cognitive Global Navigation Satellite Systems

The transition toward cognitive global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers requires accurate interference classification to trigger adaptive mitigation strategies. However, conventional methods relying on Time-Frequency Analysis (TFA) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) face two fundamental limitations: severe performance degradation in low Jamming-to-Signal Ratio (JSR) regimes due to noise obscuration, and ``feature degeneracy'' caused by the loss of phase information in magnitude-only spectrograms. Consequently, spectrally similar signals -- such as high-order Quadrature Amplitude Modulation versus Band-Limited Gaussian Noise -- become indistinguishable. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes the \textbf{JSR-Guided Fusion Network (JSR-GFNet)}. This multi-modal architecture combines phase-sensitive complex In-Phase/Quadrature (IQ) samples with Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) spectrograms. Central to this framework is a physics-inspired dynamic gating mechanism driven by statistical signal descriptors. Acting as a conditional controller, it autonomously estimates signal reliability to dynamically reweight the contributions of a Complex-Valued ResNet (IQ stream) and an EfficientNet backbone (STFT stream). To validate the model, we introduce the Comprehensive GNSS Interference (CGI-21) dataset, simulating 21 jamming categories including software-defined waveforms from aerial platforms. Extensive experiments demonstrate that JSR-GFNet achieves higher accuracy across the full 10--50 dB JSR spectrum. Notably, interpretability analysis confirms that the model learns a physically intuitive strategy: prioritizing spectral energy integration in noise-limited regimes while shifting focus to phase precision in high-SNR scenarios to resolve modulation ambiguities. This framework provides a robust solution for next-generation aerospace navigation security.

Movable Antenna Enhanced Federated Fine-Tuning of Large Language Models via Hybrid Client Selection Optimization

Federated fine-tuning of large language models (LLMs) over bandwidth-limited 6G links must meet strict round-time and energy budgets. Analog over-the-air (OTA) aggregation reduces uplink cost but is sensitive to fading and interference, which distort the aggregated gradient. We consider a two-phase workflow (centralized pre-training followed by federated fine-tuning) where the base station uses a movable-antenna (MA) array. In each round, MA element positions and the receive/transmit beamformers are adjusted under minimum-spacing constraints to reshape the channel and improve OTA aggregation without increasing user transmit power. We formulate a mixed-integer, nonconvex resource-allocation problem that jointly selects clients and optimizes the number of global rounds, CPU frequencies, mini-batch sizes, MA positions, and analog weights under end-to-end latency and energy limits. A successive convex approximation-penalty dual decomposition (SCA-PDD) routine alternates convex updates with oblique-manifold beamforming and spacing-aware MA placement. Experiments on OpenLLaMA-v2 (3B) with LoRA and 4-bit quantization on Alpaca and Dolly (10 clients) attain round-30 validation perplexities as low as 2.94 (Alpaca, K=1) and 4.62 (Dolly, K=1). Relative to the strongest non-MA baseline at the same concurrency, this corresponds to 17.4 percent (Alpaca, K=1) and 54.4 percent (Dolly, K=1) lower perplexity; at K=2 the reductions are 14.2 percent (Alpaca) and 13.7 percent (Dolly). Participation fairness also improves across all uplink concurrencies K in {1,2,4,8}, with the largest margins when fewer clients transmit per round.

Crosstalk-Resilient Beamforming for Movable Antenna Enabled Integrated Sensing and Communication

This paper investigates a movable antenna (MA) enabled integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system under the influence of antenna crosstalk. First, it generalizes the antenna crosstalk model from the conventional fixed-position antenna (FPA) system to the MA scenario. Then, a Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) minimization problem driven by joint beamforming and antenna position design is presented. Specifically, to address this highly non-convex flexible beamforming problem, we deploy a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) approach to train a flexible beamforming agent. To ensure stability during training, a Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (TD3) algorithm is adopted to balance exploration with reward maximization for efficient and reliable learning. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed crosstalk-resilient (CR) algorithm enhances the overall ISAC performance compared to other benchmark schemes.

Robust Optimization for Movable Antenna-aided Cell-Free ISAC with Time Synchronization Errors

The cell-free integrated sensing and communication (CF-ISAC) system, which effectively mitigates intra-cell interference and provides precise sensing accuracy, is a promising technology for future 6G networks. However, to fully capitalize on the potential of CF-ISAC, accurate time synchronization (TS) between access points (APs) is critical. Due to the limitations of current synchronization technologies, TS errors have become a significant challenge in the development of the CF-ISAC system. In this paper, we propose a novel CF-ISAC architecture based on movable antennas (MAs), which exploits spatial diversity to enhance communication rates, maintain sensing accuracy, and reduce the impact of TS errors. We formulate a worst-case sensing accuracy optimization problem for TS errors to address this challenge, deriving the worst-case Cramér-Rao lower bound (CRLB). Subsequently, we develop a joint optimization framework for AP beamforming and MA positions to satisfy communication rate constraints while improving sensing accuracy. A robust optimization framework is designed for the highly complex and non-convex problem. Specifically, we employ manifold optimization (MO) to solve the worst-case sensing accuracy optimization problem. Then, we propose an MA-enabled meta-reinforcement learning (MA-MetaRL) to design optimization variables while satisfying constraints on MA positions, communication rate, and transmit power, thereby improving sensing accuracy. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed robust optimization algorithm significantly improves the accuracy of the detection and is strong against TS errors. Moreover, compared to conventional fixed position antenna (FPA) technologies, the proposed MA-aided CF-ISAC architecture achieves higher system capacity, thus validating its effectiveness.

Meta-Reinforcement Learning Optimization for Movable Antenna-aided Full-Duplex CF-DFRC Systems with Carrier Frequency Offset

By enabling spectrum sharing between radar and communication operations, the cell-free dual-functional radar-communication (CF-DFRC) system is a promising candidate to significantly improve spectrum efficiency in future sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks. However, in wideband scenarios, synchronization errors caused by carrier frequency offset (CFO) can severely reduce both communication capacity and sensing accuracy. To address this challenge, this paper integrates movable antennas (MAs) into the CF-DFRC framework, leveraging their spatial flexibility and adaptive beamforming to dynamically mitigate CFO-induced impairments. To fully exploit the advantages of MAs in wideband scenarios with CFO, we aim to maximize the worst-case sum-rate of communication and sensing by jointly optimizing MA positions, {beamforming}, and CFO parameters, subject to transmit power and MA positioning constraints. Due to the non-convex nature of the problem, we propose a robust meta reinforcement learning (MRL)-based two-stage alternating optimization strategy. In the first stage, we employ manifold optimization (MO) with penalty dual decomposition (PDD) to solve the CFO-robust worst-case subproblem. In the second stage, we adopt to jointly optimize {the MA positions and beamforming vectors} in a data-driven manner {for dynamic wireless environments}. Simulation results show that the proposed MRL approach significantly outperforms conventional deep reinforcement learning (DRL) schemes in both communication and sensing performance under CFO impairments. Furthermore, compared to fixed-position antennas (FPAs), the MA-aided CF-DFRC system exhibits

Distortion-Aware Hybrid Beamforming for Integrated Sensing and Communication

This paper investigates a practical partially-connected hybrid beamforming transmitter for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) with distortion from nonlinear power amplification. For this ISAC system, we formulate a communication rate and sensing mutual information maximization problem driven by our distortion-aware hybrid beamforming design. To address this non-convex problem, we first solve for a fully digital beamforming matrix by alternatively solving three sub-problems using manifold optimization (MO) and our derived closed-form solutions. The analog and digital beamforming matrices are then obtained through a decomposition algorithm. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can improve overall ISAC performance compared to traditional beamforming methods.

Movable Antenna-Aided Federated Learning with Over-the-Air Aggregation: Joint Optimization of Positioning, Beamforming, and User Selection

Federated learning (FL) in wireless computing effectively utilizes communication bandwidth, yet it is vulnerable to errors during the analog aggregation process. While removing users with unfavorable channel conditions can mitigate these errors, it also reduces the available local training data for FL, which in turn hinders the convergence rate of the training process. To tackle this issue, we propose the use of movable antenna (MA) techniques to enhance the degrees of freedom within the channel space, ultimately boosting the convergence speed of FL training. Moreover, we develop a coordinated approach for uplink receiver beamforming, user selection, and MA positioning to optimize the convergence rate of wireless FL training in dynamic wireless environments. This stochastic optimization challenge is reformulated into a mixed-integer programming problem by utilizing the training loss upper bound. We then introduce a penalty dual decomposition (PDD) method to solve the mixed-integer mixed programming problem. Experimental results indicate that incorporating MA techniques significantly accelerates the training convergence of FL and greatly surpasses conventional methods.

Flexible WMMSE Beamforming for MU-MIMO Movable Antenna Communications

Movable antennas offer new potential for wireless communication by introducing degrees of freedom in antenna positioning, which has recently been explored for improving sum rates. In this paper, we aim to fully leverage the capabilities of movable antennas (MAs) by assuming that both the transmitter and receiver can optimize their antenna positions in multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) communications. Recognizing that WMMSE beamforming is a highly effective method for maximizing the MU-MIMO sum rate, we modify it to integrate antenna position optimization for MA systems, which we refer to as flexible WMMSE (F-WMMSE) beamforming. Importantly, we reformulate the subproblems within WMMSE to develop regularized sparse optimization frameworks to achieve joint beamforming (antenna coefficient optimization) and element movement (antenna position optimization). We then propose a regularized least squares-based simultaneous orthogonal matching pursuit (RLS-SOMP) algorithm to address the resulting sparse optimization problem. To enhance practical applications, the low-complexity implementation of the proposed framework is developed based on the pre-calculations and matrix inverse lemma. The overall F-WMMSE algorithm converges similarly to WMMSE, and our findings indicate that F-WMMSE achieves a significant sum rate improvement compared to traditional WMMSE, exceeding 20% under appropriate simulation conditions

Joint Transceiver Design for RIS Enhanced Dual-Functional Radar-Communication with Movable Antenna

Movable antennas (MAs) have shown significant potential in enhancing the performance of dual-functional radar-communication (DFRC) systems. In this paper, we investigate the MA-based transceiver design for DFRC systems, where a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) is employed to enhance the communication quality in dead zones. To enhance the radar sensing performance, we formulate an optimization problem to maximize the radar signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) by jointly optimizing the beamforming vectors, receiving filter, antenna positions, and RIS reflecting coefficients. To tackle this challenging problem, we develop a fractional programming-based optimization framework, incorporating block coordinate descent (BCD), successive convex approximation (SCA), and penalty techniques. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can significantly improve the radar SINR and achieve a satisfactory balance between the radar and communication performance compared with existing benchmark schemes.

Movable Antenna-Aided Cooperative ISAC Network with Time Synchronization error and Imperfect CSI

Cooperative-integrated sensing and communication (C-ISAC) networks have emerged as promising solutions for communication and target sensing. However, imperfect channel state information (CSI) estimation and time synchronization (TS) errors degrade performance, affecting communication and sensing accuracy. This paper addresses these challenges {by employing} {movable antennas} (MAs) to enhance C-ISAC robustness. We analyze the impact of CSI errors on achievable rates and introduce a hybrid Cramer-Rao lower bound (HCRLB) to evaluate the effect of TS errors on target localization accuracy. Based on these models, we derive the worst-case achievable rate and sensing precision under such errors. We optimize cooperative beamforming, {base station (BS)} selection factor and MA position to minimize power consumption while ensuring accuracy. {We then propose a} constrained deep reinforcement learning (C-DRL) approach to solve this non-convex optimization problem, using a modified deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) algorithm with a Wolpertinger architecture for efficient training under complex constraints. {Simulation results show that the proposed method significantly improves system robustness against CSI and TS errors, where robustness mean reliable data transmission under poor channel conditions.} These findings demonstrate the potential of MA technology to reduce power consumption in imperfect CSI and TS environments.

Movable Antenna Enabled Integrated Sensing and Communication

In this paper, we investigate a novel integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system aided by movable antennas (MAs). A bistatic radar system, in which the base station (BS) is configured with MAs, is integrated into a multi-user multiple-input-single-output (MU-MISO) system. Flexible beamforming is studied by jointly optimizing the antenna coefficients and the antenna positions. Compared to conventional fixed-position antennas (FPAs), MAs provide a new degree of freedom (DoF) in beamforming to reconfigure the field response, and further improve the received signal quality for both wireless communication and sensing. We propose a communication rate and sensing mutual information (MI) maximization problem by flexible beamforming optimization. The complex fractional objective function with logarithms are first transformed with the fractional programming (FP) framework. Then, we propose an efficient algorithm to address the non-convex problem with coupled variables by alternatively solving four sub-problems. We derive the closed-form expression to update the antenna coefficients by Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions. To improve the direct gradient ascent (DGA) scheme in updating the positions of the antennas, a 3-stage search-based projected GA (SPGA) method is proposed. Simulation results show that MAs significantly enhance the overall performance of the ISAC system, achieving 59.8\% performance gain compared to conventional ISAC system enabled by FPAs. Meanwhile, the proposed SPGA-based method has remarkable performance improvement compared the DGA method in antenna position optimization.

Latency Minimization for Movable Antennas-Enabled Relay-aided D2D Mobile Edge Computing Communication Systems

Device-to-device (D2D)-assisted mobile edge computing (MEC) is one of the critical technologies of future sixth generation (6G) networks. The core of D2D-assisted MEC is to reduce system latency for network edge UEs by supporting cloud computing services, thereby achieving high-speed transmission. Due to the sensitivity of communication signals to obstacles, relaying is adopted to enhance the D2D-assisted MEC system's performance and its coverage area. However, relay nodes and the base station (BS) are typically equipped with large-scale antenna arrays. This increases the cost of relay-assisted D2D MEC systems and limits their deployment. Movable antenna (MA) technology is used to work around this limitation without compromising performance. Specifically, the core of MA technology lies in optimizing the antenna positions to increase system capacity. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel resource allocation scheme for MA-enhanced relay-assisted D2D MEC systems. Specifically, the MA positions and beamforming of user equipments (UEs), relay, and BS as well as the allocation of resources and the computation task offloading rate at the MEC server, all are optimized herein with the objective of minimizing the maximum latency while satisfying computation and communication rate constraints. Since this is a multivariable non-convex problem, a parallel and distributed penalty dual decomposition (PDD) based algorithm is developed and combined with successive convex approximation (SCA) to solve this non-convex problem. The results of extensive numerical analyses show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the performance of the MA-enhanced relay-assisted D2D communication system compared to a counterpart where relays and the BS are equiped with traditional fixed-position antenna (FPA).

Power Source Allocation for RIS-aided Integrating Sensing, Communication, and Power Transfer Systems Based on NOMA

This paper proposes a novel communication system framework based on a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided integrated sensing, communication, and power transmission (ISCPT) communication system. RIS is used to improve transmission efficiency and sensing accuracy. In addition, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technology is incorporated in RIS-aided ISCPT systems to boost the spectrum utilization efficiency of RIS-aided ISCPT systems. We consider the power minimization problem of the RIS-aided ISCPT-NOMA system. Power minimization is achieved by jointly optimizing the RIS phase shift, decoding order, power splitting (PS) factor, and transmit beamforming while satisfying quality of service (QoS), radar target sensing accuracy, and energy harvesting constraints. Since the objective function and constraints in the optimization problem are non-convex, the problem is an NP-hard problem. To solve the non-convex problem, this paper proposes a block coordinate descent (BCD) algorithm. Specifically, the non-convex problem is divided into four sub-problems: i.e. the transmit beamforming, RIS phase shift, decoding order and PS factor optimization subproblems. We employ semidefinite relaxation (SDR) and successive convex approximation (SCA) techniques to address the transmit beamforming optimization sub-problem. Subsequently, we leverage the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) algorithm to solve the RIS phase shift optimization problem. As for the decoding order optimization, we provide a closed-form expression. For the PS factor optimization problem, the SCA algorithm is proposed. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm and highlight the balanced performance achieved across sensing, communication, and power transfer.

Secure Enhancement for RIS-Aided UAV with ISAC: Robust Design and Resource Allocation

This paper analyses the security performance of a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communication system with integrated sensing and communications (ISAC). We consider a multiple-antenna UAV transmitting ISAC waveforms to simultaneously detect an untrusted target in the surrounding environment and communicate with a ground Internet-of-Things (IoT) device in the presence of an eavesdropper (Eve). Given that the Eve can conceal their channel state information (CSI) in practical scenarios, we assume that the CSI of the eavesdropper channel is imperfect. For this RIS-aided ISAC-UAV system, we aim to maximize the average communication secrecy rate by jointly optimizing UAV trajectory, RIS passive beamforming, transmit beamforming, and receive beamforming. However, this joint optimization problem is non-convex due to multi-variable coupling. As such, we solve the optimization using an efficient and tractable algorithm using a block coordinate descent (BCD) method. Specifically, we develop a successive convex approximation (SCA) algorithm based on semidefinite relaxation (SDR) to optimise the joint optimization as four separate non-convex subproblems. Numerical results show that our proposed algorithm can successfully ensure the accuracy of sensing targets and significantly improve the communication secrecy rate of the IoT communication devices.

Robust Beamforming Design for Near-Field DMA-NOMA mmWave Communications With Imperfect Position Information

For millimeter-wave (mmWave) non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication systems, we propose an innovative near-field (NF) transmission framework based on dynamic metasurface antenna (DMA) technology. In this framework, a base station (BS) utilizes the DMA hybrid beamforming technology combined with the NOMA principle to maximize communication efficiency between near-field users (NUs) and far-field users (FUs). In conventional communication systems, obtaining channel state information (CSI) requires substantial pilot signals, significantly reducing system communication efficiency. We propose a beamforming design scheme based on position information to address with this challenge. This scheme does not depend on pilot signals but indirectly obtains CSI by analyzing the geometric relationship between user position information and channel models. However, in practical applications, the accuracy of position information is challenging to guarantee and may contain errors. We propose a robust beamforming design strategy based on the worst-case scenario to tackle this issue. Facing with the multi-variable coupled non-convex problems, we employ a dual-loop iterative joint optimization algorithm to update beamforming using block coordinate descent (BCD) and derive the optimal power allocation (PA) expression. We analyze its convergence and complexity to verify the proposed algorithm's performance and robustness thoroughly. We validate the theoretical derivation of the CSI error bound through simulation experiments. Numerical results show that our proposed scheme performs better than traditional beamforming schemes. Additionally, the transmission framework exhibits strong robustness to NU and FU position errors, laying a solid foundation for the practical application of mmWave NOMA communication systems.
