Vidu S2: Real-Time Interactive, Editable, and Spatial Video Generation

We present Vidu S2, which comprises Vidu S2-Avatar, a real-time interactive digital-character model, and Vidu S2-Editing, a real-time video editing model. Moreover, we explore the feasibility of real-time spatial video generation for both Vidu S2-Avatar and Vidu S2-Editing. Compared with Vidu S1, Vidu S2-Avatar supports real-time 720p video generation, generation with dynamic references that can be updated at any moment, and stronger instruction following, such as dancing. Vidu S2-Editing supports editing a video stream in real time, including style rendering, clothing replacement, character replacement, and background replacement. Experiments show that Vidu S2 outperforms all baselines. A playable online demo is available at https://vidu.com/vidu-stream.

PersonaShot: Benchmarking Person-Centric Narrative Continuity in Multi-Shot Video Generation

Video generation is rapidly evolving from single-shot clips to multi-shot narratives, where the human character serves as the core narrative anchor. However, existing benchmarks mainly assess character appearance or individual-shot quality, without measuring whether physical and emotional states remain coherent across cuts. They also rarely provide criterion-specific evaluation methods, although physical continuity, facial dynamics, and cinematic relations require different visual, temporal, and relational evidence. To address these limitations, we introduce PersonaShot, the first person-centric benchmark for narrative continuity in multi-shot video generation. PersonaShot contains approximately 1,000 multi-shot segments and 16 metrics spanning physical continuity, affective dynamics, and cinematic grammar. \textbf{\textit{1)} Narrative Continuity Benchmark:} We evaluate character coherence across three temporal levels: within-shot states, cross-shot transitions, and sequence-level trajectories. \textbf{\textit{2)} Human-Aligned Specialist Evaluators:} We distill reasoning from a large multimodal teacher into lightweight criterion-specific evaluators, each grounded in the visual, temporal, or relational evidence required by its metric, and align them with expert human judgments. \textbf{\textit{3)} Systematic Evaluation and Insights:} Our evaluation reveals distinct capability profiles across state-of-the-art models and a clear gap between perceptual quality and cross-shot narrative continuity. Even visually compelling videos frequently exhibit physical-state resets, abrupt affective shifts, and broken cinematic relations across shots. Human studies further demonstrate strong agreement between our evaluators and expert judgments.

VicEdit: Learning to Edit Videos from Visual In-Context Examples

Despite progress in instruction-based video editing, unimodal textual instructions inherently struggle to convey fine-grained textures and complex dynamics. To bridge this perceptual gap, we propose Visual In-context Editing, a new paradigm elevating video editing from textual instructions to multi-modal visual guidance encompassing single image, image pair, and video pair. To facilitate this paradigm, we curate VicEdit-400K, the first large-scale dataset for visual in-context video editing. We develop an automated pipeline to generate 400K high-quality samples across ten task types, ensuring superior visual fidelity and semantic consistency through multi-dimensional filtering. Leveraging this foundation, we introduce VicEdit, a unified framework to bridge visual and textual contexts. To adaptively extract editing semantics from heterogeneous references, we design Modality-Adaptive Semantic Distillation, which produces modality-specific semantic tokens from visual references. These tokens are then synergistically integrated with textual instructions through Dual-Context Injection, enabling the generation process to benefit from both visual and textual signals. Extensive evaluations on VicEditBench demonstrate that VicEdit achieves state-of-the-art performance across both basic instruction editing and visual in-context editing tasks, establishing visual in-context learning as a powerful and controllable paradigm for video editing.

CineDance: Towards Next-Generation Multi-Shot Long-Form Cinematic Audio-Video Generation

The fidelity and structural diversity of training datasets fundamentally determine the capabilities of video generation models. While commercial systems showremarkableabilitytogeneratecinematicnarratives, the progress of open-source models remains limited by the scarcity of high-quality training data. To bridge this gap, we introduce CineDance-1M, a large-scale, open research Text-to-Audio-Video (T2AV) dataset designed specifically for multi-shot, long-form joint audio-video generation. Averaging 92.8 seconds and 24.2 continuous shots per video, it provides configurable, structured annotations for both audio and video modalities. This exceptional quality is achieved through a rigorous three-stage curation pipeline: i) diverse sourcing and comprehensive cleansing, ii) film-theory-inspired narrative parsing, and iii) hierarchical dual-modal captioning. For a comprehensive assessment, we propose CineBench, featuring a diverse prompt suite and a six-dimensional, human-aligned metric system tailored for complex narrative audio-video evaluation. Furthermore, we adapt LTX-2.3 into CineDance, which demonstrates exceptional single-modality quality alongside precise audio-video alignment and robust subject and environment consistency, effectively validating our curation strategy and the high quality of CineDance-1M. We anticipate that this work will serve as a solid foundation for accelerating future research in multi-shot, long-form joint audio-video generation. Spatial-Temporal Decoupled Reference Conditioning for Identity-Preserving Text-to-Video Generation

Identity-preserving video generation (IPVG) aims to synthesize high-fidelity videos that follow text prompts while faithfully preserving a reference identity. Despite recent progress, existing IPVG methods still struggle to balance high-level semantic control and low-level identity fidelity. To bridge this gap, we propose ST-DRC, an effective Spatial-Temporal Decoupled Reference Conditioning framework for identity-preserving text-to-video generation. At the framework level, ST-DRC performs latent in-context feature injection by encoding the reference image with the video VAE and concatenating it with noisy video latents, enabling rich low-level identity details to be accessed without additional adapters. To separate identity-aware reference retrieval from appearance copying, we introduce TASS-RoPE, a Temporal-Adjacent Spatial-Shifted RoPE scheme that places reference tokens near the video sequence in time but shifts them in space, allowing reference information to flow through spatio-temporal attention while suppressing pixel-level copy-paste shortcuts. To further prevent shortcut learning and strengthen the otherwise diluted identity supervision in the diffusion objective, we combine appearance-invariant reference augmentation with face-guided identity objectives, encouraging the model to preserve identity under variations in color, pose, and layout. At inference time, we introduce a three-stream reference classifier-free guidance strategy that independently controls text adherence and reference fidelity. Experiments demonstrate that ST-DRC achieves strong identity preservation, prompt alignment, temporal consistency, and video quality with a lightweight design built on LTX-2.3. Our method ranks among the top submissions in the facial identity-preserving video generation track, validating the effectiveness of spatial-temporal decoupled reference conditioning.

SAFE-Pruner: Semantic Attention-Guided Future-Aware Token Pruning for Efficient Vision-Language-Action Manipulation

Real-time inference of vision-language-action (VLA) models is essential for robotic control. While visual token pruning has shown strong potential for accelerating inference, most existing methods mainly base pruning decisions on shallow-layer cues and risk discarding visual information required by deep layers. To address this issue, we propose SAFE-Pruner, a plug-and-play pruning framework that incorporates attention cues of future layers into pruning decisions. Specifically, we identify semantic attention consistency, the tendency that VLA models concentrate their attention probability mass on the same semantic entity across control timesteps. Based on this observation, we design a forward-looking strategy to forecast the token saliency in deep layers, which prevents the premature removal of critical tokens and leads to more stable acceleration. We further introduce a reference timestep refresh strategy that triggers updates upon attention shifts, thereby improving forecasting accuracy and pruning reliability. Extensive experiments across diverse evaluation settings demonstrate that our method achieves up to 1.89x speedup with a minimal degradation in success rate of less than 1.5%, while outperforming state-of-the-art methods by up to 1.9%.

Segment Anything with Motion, Geometry, and Semantic Adaptation for Complex Nonlinear Visual Object Tracking

Traditional visual object tracking (VOT) methods typically rely on task-specific supervised training, limiting their generalization to unseen objects and challenging scenarios with distractors, occlusion, and nonlinear motion. Recent vision foundation models, exemplified by SAM 2, learn strong video understanding priors from large-scale pretraining and offer a promising foundation for building more robust and generalizable trackers. However, directly applying SAM 2 to VOT remains suboptimal, as it does not explicitly model target motion dynamics or enforce geometric and semantic consistency across frames, both of which are essential for reliable tracking. To address this issue, we propose SAMOSA, a new tracking framework that adapts SAM 2 to complex VOT scenarios by explicitly leveraging motion, geometry, and semantic cues. Specifically, we introduce a lightweight nonlinear motion predictor to model target dynamics and guide mask selection as well as memory filtering. We further exploit semantic cues to detect target shifts and recover from tracking failures, while geometric cues are incorporated as structural constraints to improve tracking stability. In this way, SAMOSA bridges the gap between the implicit video understanding prior of SAM 2 and explicit tracking-oriented modeling. Extensive experiments show that SAMOSA consistently outperforms state-of-the-art SAM 2--based approaches on general benchmarks, demonstrates stronger generalization than supervised VOT methods, and achieves substantial gains on anti-UAV datasets, which typify complex nonlinear motion scenarios. Our code is available at https://github.com/DurYi/SAMOSA.

Omni-Customizer: End-to-End MultiModal Customization for Joint Audio-Video Generation

The landscape of joint audio and video generation has been fundamentally transformed by the advent of powerful foundation models. Despite these strides, achieving cohesive multimodal customization for the simultaneous preservation of visual identities and vocal timbres across multiple interacting subjects remains largely underexplored. To bridge this gap, we present Omni-Customizer, an end-to-end framework targeted at the precise binding and seamless fusion of multimodal identity information. Specifically, we introduce an Omni-Context Fusion (OCF) module that effectively enriches the base textual prompt with dense, multimodal identity cues, along with a Masked TTS Cross-Attention (MTP-CA) mechanism explicitly designed to prevent the severe "speech leakage" problem. Within this architecture, we propose Semantic-Anchored Multimodal RoPE (SA-MRoPE) to anchor visual and audio reference tokens, along with TTS embeddings, to their corresponding semantic descriptions, enabling structured multimodal fusion and robust identity binding. Furthermore, we devise a comprehensive training strategy that incorporates interleaved audio-video scheduling to rapidly adapt the audio branch to multilingual scenarios without degrading foundational priors, and a progressive in-pair to cross-pair curriculum to facilitate the learning of high-level and robust identity features. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Omni-Customizer achieves state-of-the-art performance in dual-modal customized generation, excelling across visual identity similarity, timbre consistency, precise audio-video synchronization, and overall video-audio fidelity.

TAIHRI: Task-Aware 3D Human Keypoints Localization for Close-Range Human-Robot Interaction

Accurate 3D human keypoints localization is a critical technology enabling robots to achieve natural and safe physical interaction with users. Conventional 3D human keypoints estimation methods primarily focus on the whole-body reconstruction quality relative to the root joint. However, in practical human-robot interaction (HRI) scenarios, robots are more concerned with the precise metric-scale spatial localization of task-relevant body parts under the egocentric camera 3D coordinate. We propose TAIHRI, the first Vision-Language Model (VLM) tailored for close-range HRI perception, capable of understanding users' motion commands and directing the robot's attention to the most task-relevant keypoints. By quantizing 3D keypoints into a finite interaction space, TAIHRI precisely localize the 3D spatial coordinates of critical body parts by 2D keypoint reasoning via next token prediction, and seamlessly adapt to downstream tasks such as natural language control or global space human mesh recovery. Experiments on egocentric interaction benchmarks demonstrate that TAIHRI achieves superior estimation accuracy for task-critical body parts. We believe TAIHRI opens new research avenues in the field of embodied human-robot interaction. Code is available at: https://github.com/Tencent/TAIHRI.

Rethinking IRSTD: Single-Point Supervision Guided Encoder-only Framework is Enough for Infrared Small Target Detection

Infrared small target detection (IRSTD) aims to separate small targets from clutter backgrounds. Extensive research is dedicated to the pixel-level supervision-guided "encoder-decoder" segmentation paradigm. Although having achieved promising performance, they neglect the fact that small targets only occupy a few pixels and are usually accompanied with blurred boundary caused by clutter backgrounds. Based on this observation, we argue that the first principle of IRSTD should be target localization instead of separating all target region accompanied with indistinguishable background noise. In this paper, we reformulate IRSTD as a centroid regression task and propose a novel Single-Point Supervision guided Infrared Probabilistic Response Encoding method (namely, SPIRE), which is indeed challenging due to the mismatch between reduced supervision network and equivalent output. Specifically, we first design a Point-Response Prior Supervision (PRPS), which transforms single-point annotations into probabilistic response map consistent with infrared point-target response characteristics, with a High-Resolution Probabilistic Encoder (HRPE) that enables encoder-only, end-to-end regression without decoder reconstruction. By preserving high-resolution features and increasing effective supervision density, SPIRE alleviates optimization instability under sparse target distributions. Finally, extensive experiments on various IRSTD benchmarks, including SIRST-UAVB and SIRST4 demonstrate that SPIRE achieves competitive target-level detection performance with consistently low false alarm rate (Fa) and significantly reduced computational cost. Embed-RL: Reinforcement Learning for Reasoning-Driven Multimodal Embeddings

Leveraging Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) has become pivotal for advancing Universal Multimodal Embeddings (UME) in addressing diverse cross-modal tasks. Recent studies demonstrate that incorporating generative Chain-of-Thought (CoT) reasoning can substantially enhance task-specific representations compared to discriminative methods. However, the generated reasoning CoTs of existing generative embedding methods are limited to the textual analysis of queries and are irrelevant to the retrieval of the targets. To address these limitations, we propose a reasoning-driven UME framework that integrates Embedder-Guided Reinforcement Learning (EG-RL) to optimize the Reasoner to produce evidential Traceability CoT (T-CoT). Our key contributions are threefold: (1) We design an EG-RL framework where the Embedder provides explicit supervision to the Reasoner, ensuring the generated CoT traces are aligned with embedding tasks. (2) We introduce T-CoT, which extracts critical multimodal cues to focus on retrieval-relevant elements and provides multimodal inputs for the Embedder. (3) With limited computational resources, our framework outperforms the pioneering embedding model on both MMEB-V2 and UVRB benchmarks. The integration of multimodal evidence in structured reasoning, paired with retrieval-oriented alignment, effectively strengthens cross-modal semantic consistency and boosts the fine-grained matching capability of the model as well as the generalization across complex scenarios. Our work demonstrates that targeted reasoning optimization can significantly improve multimodal embedding quality, providing a practical and efficient solution for reasoning-driven UME development.

Beyond Max Tokens: Stealthy Resource Amplification via Tool Calling Chains in LLM Agents

The agent--tool interaction loop is a critical attack surface for modern Large Language Model (LLM) agents. Existing denial-of-service (DoS) attacks typically function at the user-prompt or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) context layer and are inherently single-turn in nature. This limitation restricts cost amplification and diminishes stealth in goal-oriented workflows. To address these issues, we proposed a stealthy, multi-turn economic DoS attack at the tool layer under the Model Context Protocol (MCP). By simply editing text-visible fields and implementing a template-driven return policy, our malicious server preserves function signatures and the terminal benign payload while steering agents into prolonged, verbose tool-calling chains. We optimize these text-only edits with Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) to maximize cost under a task-success constraint. Across six LLMs on ToolBench and BFCL benchmarks, our attack yields trajectories over 60K tokens, increases per-query cost by up to 658 times, raises energy by 100 to 560 times, and pushes GPU key-value (KV) cache occupancy to 35--74%. Standard prompt filters and output trajectory monitors seldom detect these attacks, highlighting the need for defenses that safeguard agentic processes rather than focusing solely on final outcomes. We will release the code soon.

Delayed Bidirectional Alignment via Disentangled Audio Semantics for Audio-Visual Segmentation

Audio-Visual Segmentation (AVS) aims to localize sound-producing objects at the pixel level by integrating auditory and visual cues. However, existing methods often struggle with multi-source entanglement and audio-visual misalignment, leading to a dominance bias toward acoustically or visually salient objects (i.e., louder or larger ones) at the expense of subtler or co-occurring sources. To address these challenges, we propose DDAVS: Delayed Bidirectional Alignment via Disentangled Audio Semantics for Audio-Visual Segmentation. To mitigate multi-source entanglement, DDAVS employs learnable queries to extract audio semantics and anchor them within a structured semantic space derived from an audio prototype memory bank. This process is further optimized through contrastive learning to enhance discriminability and robustness. To alleviate audio-visual misalignment, DDAVS introduces dual cross attention with delayed modality interaction, improving the robustness of multimodal alignment. Extensive experiments on the AVS-Objects and VPO benchmarks demonstrate that DDAVS achieves state-of-the-art performance across single-source, multi-source, and multi-class multi-instance scenarios. These results validate the effectiveness and generalization ability of our framework under challenging real-world audio-visual segmentation conditions. VG-Refiner: Towards Tool-Refined Referring Grounded Reasoning via Agentic Reinforcement Learning

Tool-integrated visual reasoning (TiVR) has demonstrated great potential in enhancing multimodal problem-solving. However, existing TiVR paradigms mainly focus on integrating various visual tools through reinforcement learning, while neglecting to design effective response mechanisms for handling unreliable or erroneous tool outputs. This limitation is particularly pronounced in referring and grounding tasks, where inaccurate detection tool predictions often mislead TiVR models into generating hallucinated reasoning. To address this issue, we propose the VG-Refiner, the first framework aiming at the tool-refined referring grounded reasoning. Technically, we introduce a two-stage think-rethink mechanism that enables the model to explicitly analyze and respond to tool feedback, along with a refinement reward that encourages effective correction in response to poor tool results. In addition, we propose two new metrics and establish fair evaluation protocols to systematically measure the refinement ability of current models. We adopt a small amount of task-specific data to enhance the refinement capability of VG-Refiner, achieving a significant improvement in accuracy and correction ability on referring and reasoning grounding benchmarks while preserving the general capabilities of the pretrained model.

Large Scale Diffusion Distillation via Score-Regularized Continuous-Time Consistency

Although continuous-time consistency models (e.g., sCM, MeanFlow) are theoretically principled and empirically powerful for fast academic-scale diffusion, its applicability to large-scale text-to-image and video tasks remains unclear due to infrastructure challenges in Jacobian-vector product (JVP) computation and the limitations of evaluation benchmarks like FID. This work represents the first effort to scale up continuous-time consistency to general application-level image and video diffusion models, and to make JVP-based distillation effective at large scale. We first develop a parallelism-compatible FlashAttention-2 JVP kernel, enabling sCM training on models with over 10 billion parameters and high-dimensional video tasks. Our investigation reveals fundamental quality limitations of sCM in fine-detail generation, which we attribute to error accumulation and the "mode-covering" nature of its forward-divergence objective. To remedy this, we propose the score-regularized continuous-time consistency model (rCM), which incorporates score distillation as a long-skip regularizer. This integration complements sCM with the "mode-seeking" reverse divergence, effectively improving visual quality while maintaining high generation diversity. Validated on large-scale models (Cosmos-Predict2, Wan2.1) up to 14B parameters and 5-second videos, rCM generally matches the state-of-the-art distillation method DMD2 on quality metrics while mitigating mode collapse and offering notable advantages in diversity, all without GAN tuning or extensive hyperparameter searches. The distilled models generate high-fidelity samples in only $1\sim4$ steps, accelerating diffusion sampling by $15\times\sim50\times$. These results position rCM as a practical and theoretically grounded framework for advancing large-scale diffusion distillation. Code is available at https://github.com/NVlabs/rcm.

Collaborative Face Experts Fusion in Video Generation: Boosting Identity Consistency Across Large Face Poses

Current video generation models struggle with identity preservation under large face poses, primarily facing two challenges: the difficulty in exploring an effective mechanism to integrate identity features into DiT architectures, and the lack of targeted coverage of large face poses in existing open-source video datasets. To address these, we present two key innovations. First, we propose Collaborative Face Experts Fusion (CoFE), which dynamically fuses complementary signals from three specialized experts within the DiT backbone: an identity expert that captures cross-pose invariant features, a semantic expert that encodes high-level visual context, and a detail expert that preserves pixel-level attributes such as skin texture and color gradients. Second, we introduce a data curation pipeline comprising three key components: Face Constraints to ensure diverse large-pose coverage, Identity Consistency to maintain stable identity across frames, and Speech Disambiguation to align textual captions with actual speaking behavior. This pipeline yields LaFID-180K, a large-scale dataset of pose-annotated video clips designed for identity-preserving video generation. Experimental results on several benchmarks demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods in face similarity, FID, and CLIP semantic alignment. Identity-Preserving Text-to-Video Generation Guided by Simple yet Effective Spatial-Temporal Decoupled Representations

Identity-preserving text-to-video (IPT2V) generation, which aims to create high-fidelity videos with consistent human identity, has become crucial for downstream applications. However, current end-to-end frameworks suffer a critical spatial-temporal trade-off: optimizing for spatially coherent layouts of key elements (e.g., character identity preservation) often compromises instruction-compliant temporal smoothness, while prioritizing dynamic realism risks disrupting the spatial coherence of visual structures. To tackle this issue, we propose a simple yet effective spatial-temporal decoupled framework that decomposes representations into spatial features for layouts and temporal features for motion dynamics. Specifically, our paper proposes a semantic prompt optimization mechanism and stage-wise decoupled generation paradigm. The former module decouples the prompt into spatial and temporal components. Aligned with the subsequent stage-wise decoupled approach, the spatial prompts guide the text-to-image (T2I) stage to generate coherent spatial features, while the temporal prompts direct the sequential image-to-video (I2V) stage to ensure motion consistency. Experimental results validate that our approach achieves excellent spatiotemporal consistency, demonstrating outstanding performance in identity preservation, text relevance, and video quality. By leveraging this simple yet robust mechanism, our algorithm secures the runner-up position in 2025 ACM MultiMedia Challenge. Our code is available at https://github.com/rain152/IPVG.
