SEAD: Self-Evolving Agent for Multi-Turn Service Dialogue

Large Language Models have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in open-domain dialogues. However, current methods exhibit suboptimal performance in service dialogues, as they rely on noisy, low-quality human conversation data. This limitation arises from data scarcity and the difficulty of simulating authentic, goal-oriented user behaviors. To address these issues, we propose SEAD (Self-Evolving Agent for Service Dialogue), a framework that enables agents to learn effective strategies without large-scale human annotations. SEAD decouples user modeling into two components: a Profile Controller that generates diverse user states to manage training curriculum, and a User Role-play Model that focuses on realistic role-playing. This design ensures the environment provides adaptive training scenarios rather than acting as an unfair adversary. Experiments demonstrate that SEAD significantly outperforms Open-source Foundation Models and Closed-source Commercial Models, improving task completion rate by 17.6% and dialogue efficiency by 11.1%. SegEarth-OV3: Exploring SAM 3 for Open-Vocabulary Semantic Segmentation in Remote Sensing Images

Most existing methods for training-free open-vocabulary semantic segmentation are based on CLIP. While these approaches have made progress, they often face challenges in precise localization or require complex pipelines to combine separate modules, especially in remote sensing scenarios where numerous dense and small targets are present. Recently, Segment Anything Model 3 (SAM 3) was proposed, unifying segmentation and recognition in a promptable framework. In this paper, we present a comprehensive exploration of applying SAM 3 to the remote sensing open-vocabulary tasks (i.e., 2D semantic segmentation, change detection, and 3D semantic segmentation) without any training. First, we implement a mask fusion strategy that combines the outputs from SAM 3's semantic segmentation head and the Transformer decoder (instance head). This allows us to leverage the strengths of both heads for better land coverage. Second, we utilize the presence score from the presence head to filter out categories that do not exist in the scene, reducing false positives caused by the vast vocabulary sizes and patch-level processing in geospatial scenes. Furthermore, we extend our method to open-vocabulary change detection by a joint instance- and pixel-level verification strategy built directly upon our fused logits. We evaluate our method on extensive remote sensing datasets and tasks, including 20 segmentation datasets, 3 change detection datasets, and a 3D segmentation dataset. Experiments show that our method achieves promising performance, demonstrating the potential of SAM 3 for remote sensing open-vocabulary tasks. Our code is released at https://github.com/earth-insights/SegEarth-OV-3.

A Unified Glassy Rheology for Granular Matter

Granular flows are ubiquitous in nature and industrial applications, yet a complete continuum theory remains a long-standing challenge. The leading empirical approach, μ(I) rheology, lacks microscopic foundations and becomes multivalued in dense, slowly sheared flows where nonlocal corrections are required. Exploiting state-of-the-art high-speed X-ray tomography to investigate microscopic dynamics of dense granular flows in a Couette geometry, we establish a new, universal constitutive law spanning quasi-static to inertial regimes based on structural relaxation, resolving the fundamental difficulty in the original μ(I) framework. By further establishing a non-equilibrium statistical framework for granular flows, we demonstrate an intrinsic analogy between driven granular matter and hard-sphere liquids owing to their identical Carnahan-Starling equation of state, naturally explaining our rheological approach and the emergence of glassy behaviors. Our framework unifies granular rheology with the broader physics of disordered systems and provides a complete, microscopically-based theoretical framework for dense granular flow.

To understand the radiative processes of pulsars and fast radio bursts with the FAST

The radiative mechanism of coherent radio emission has remained an enigma since the discovery of pulsars, even the emergence of fast radio bursts (FRBs), which exhibit similarities to the single-pulse behavior of pulsars and have opened a new view for deciphering the long-standing mystery. Besides tremendous efforts in modelling, advanced facilities matter for solving the problem. The authors review the observational breakthroughs from the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST), which are providing pivotal insights to unravel the underlying physics of pulsars and FRBs. This study offers a novel perspective in the era when pulsars meet FRBs, and further investigations are encouraged to utilize the highly sensitive telescope, the FAST.

SAGE: A Service Agent Graph-guided Evaluation Benchmark

The development of Large Language Models (LLMs) has catalyzed automation in customer service, yet benchmarking their performance remains challenging. Existing benchmarks predominantly rely on static paradigms and single-dimensional metrics, failing to account for diverse user behaviors or the strict adherence to structured Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required in real-world deployments. To bridge this gap, we propose SAGE (Service Agent Graph-guided Evaluation), a universal multi-agent benchmark for automated, dual-axis assessment. SAGE formalizes unstructured SOPs into Dynamic Dialogue Graphs, enabling precise verification of logical compliance and comprehensive path coverage. We introduce an Adversarial Intent Taxonomy and a modular Extension Mechanism, enabling low-cost deployment across domains and facilitating automated dialogue data synthesis. Evaluation is conducted via a framework where Judge Agents and a Rule Engine analyze interactions between User and Service Agents to generate deterministic ground truth. Extensive experiments on 27 LLMs across 6 industrial scenarios reveal a significant ``Execution Gap'' where models accurately classify intents but fail to derive correct subsequent actions. We also observe ``Empathy Resilience'', a phenomenon where models maintain polite conversational facades despite underlying logical failures under high adversarial intensity. Code and resources are available at https://anonymous.4open.science/r/SAGE-Bench-4CD3/.

Design and First Results of COFFEE3: A 55nm HVCMOS Pixel Sensor Prototype for High-Energy Physics Applications

Motivated by the stringent requirements of the Upstream Pixel (UP) tracker in the LHCb Upgrade II and the Inner Tracking detector (ITK) of the Circular Electron Positron Collider, the COFFEE series of pixel sensor chips have been developed using a 55nm High-Voltage CMOS (HVCMOS) process. The primary objective is to achieve a time resolution of a few nanoseconds under a hit density of up to 100 MHz/cm$^2$, while maintaining fine spatial resolution ($\sim$10 $μ$m) and reasonable power consumption ($<$200 mW/cm$^2$). Building on the process validation of the COFFEE2 prototype, this work presents the design and preliminary test results of COFFEE3-a prototype integrating two distinct readout architectures. Architecture 1, tailored for the current triple-well process, adopts NMOS-only in-pixel circuitry and innovative column-level readout to handle high hit densities. The time walk of pixel-level signal is controlled within 10 ns, and the Time of Arrival (TOA) and Time over Threshold (TOT) are measured with a system clock with the period of 25 ns in peripheral circuits. Architecture 2, developed for future possible processes with p-type buried layer isolation, features pixel-level time measurement and storage. A chip-level Time-to-Digital Converter (TDC) is used and the part of Voltage-Controlled Delay Line (VCDL) is copied in each pixel to get a high time resolution. The TOA resolution is estimated to be 4.2 ns and the TOT resolution 8.4 ns. COFFEE3, with a layout size of 3$\times$4 mm$^2$, was manufactured and has undergone preliminary tests. Charge injection tests for analog circuits, and laser tests for full readout chains, confirm that both architectures operate as expected. Next step work will focus on characterizing key performance such as the timing resolution, radiation hardness, and tracking performance of minimum ionising particles.

Urban Socio-Semantic Segmentation with Vision-Language Reasoning

As hubs of human activity, urban surfaces consist of a wealth of semantic entities. Segmenting these various entities from satellite imagery is crucial for a range of downstream applications. Current advanced segmentation models can reliably segment entities defined by physical attributes (e.g., buildings, water bodies) but still struggle with socially defined categories (e.g., schools, parks). In this work, we achieve socio-semantic segmentation by vision-language model reasoning. To facilitate this, we introduce the Urban Socio-Semantic Segmentation dataset named SocioSeg, a new resource comprising satellite imagery, digital maps, and pixel-level labels of social semantic entities organized in a hierarchical structure. Additionally, we propose a novel vision-language reasoning framework called SocioReasoner that simulates the human process of identifying and annotating social semantic entities via cross-modal recognition and multi-stage reasoning. We employ reinforcement learning to optimize this non-differentiable process and elicit the reasoning capabilities of the vision-language model. Experiments demonstrate our approach's gains over state-of-the-art models and strong zero-shot generalization. The dataset and code are open-sourced under the Apache License 2.0 at https://github.com/AMAP-ML/SocioReasoner.

Reimagining Wearable AR Gesture Design: Physical Therapy Reasoning in Everyday Contexts

Lightweight augmented reality (AR) glasses are increasingly entering everyday use, extending interaction design beyond short, isolated sessions. However, most existing gesture vocabularies are inherited from VR headsets or early AR goggles. These systems tend to prioritize recognizer accuracy while overlooking fatigue, sustainability, and social legibility in daily contexts. To address this gap, we collaborated with physical therapists (PTs) to reimagine gesture design for everyday AR, drawing on their expertise in safe and sustainable movement. Through a review of 104 AR applications, we identified 15 common gesture intents and implemented an on-device gesture generator. Ten licensed physical therapists, with an average of 14.8 years of professional experience, then shaped these gesture intents through three iterative stages: unaided gesture performance, PT-guided gesture substitution, and stage-aware card sorting. This work contributes (1) a PT-informed gesture translation method, (2) the Everyday-AR Golden Ergonomic Canvas, and (3) a stage-aware social legibility framework that illustrates how gesture suitability shifts with social readability. Together, these contributions provide a recognizer-agnostic reference framework for designing sustainable and socially coherent gesture vocabularies for lightweight AR glasses.

The FAST Discovery of a binary millisecond pulsar PSR~J1647-0156B (M12B) with a candidate cross matching algorithm

We propose a pulsar candidate cross matching algorithm to sift radio pulsar search candidates from repeated observations of the same sky location such as globular clusters, high energy sources, or supernova remnants. Our method uses both the candidate spin period ($P$) and dispersion measure (DM) value; if two or more candidates from different observations have similar spin periods to within 1\%, and dispersion measure values within 10\%, they are likely to correspond to the same candidate detection. We have demonstrated the effectiveness of our method through the discovery of the pulsar M12B with the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST). This pulsar has a spin period of 2.76\,ms and a dispersion measure of $42.70 \pm 0.05\,\mathrm{cm}^{-3}~\mathrm{pc}$. This pulsar has a profile with three peaks, being faint, showing scintillation. It is in an approximately 0.53-day orbit. Our discovery indicates that more pulsars might be effectively discovered if the algorithm is applied to the search results from other archival globular cluster observations.

UnSCAR: Universal, Scalable, Controllable, and Adaptable Image Restoration

Universal image restoration aims to recover clean images from arbitrary real-world degradations using a single inference model. Despite significant progress, existing all-in-one restoration networks do not scale to multiple degradations. As the number of degradations increases, training becomes unstable, models grow excessively large, and performance drops across both seen and unseen domains. In this work, we show that scaling universal restoration is fundamentally limited by interference across degradations during joint learning, leading to catastrophic task forgetting. To address this challenge, we introduce a unified inference pipeline with a multi-branch mixture-of-experts architecture that decomposes restoration knowledge across specialized task-adaptable experts. Our approach enables scalable learning (over sixteen degradations), adapts and generalizes robustly to unseen domains, and supports user-controllable restoration across degradations. Beyond achieving superior performance across benchmarks, this work establishes a new design paradigm for scalable and controllable universal image restoration.

CanoVerse: 3D Object Scalable Canonicalization and Dataset for Generation and Pose

3D learning systems implicitly assume that objects occupy a coherent reference frame. Nonetheless, in practice, every asset arrives with an arbitrary global rotation, and models are left to resolve directional ambiguity on their own. This persistent misalignment suppresses pose-consistent generation, and blocks the emergence of stable directional semantics. To address this issue, we construct \methodName{}, a massive canonical 3D dataset of 320K objects over 1,156 categories -- an order-of-magnitude increase over prior work. At this scale, directional semantics become statistically learnable: Canoverse improves 3D generation stability, enables precise cross-modal 3D shape retrieval, and unlocks zero-shot point-cloud orientation estimation even for out-of-distribution data. This is achieved by a new canonicalization framework that reduces alignment from minutes to seconds per object via compact hypothesis generation and lightweight human discrimination, transforming canonicalization from manual curation into a high-throughput data generation pipeline. The Canoverse dataset will be publicly released upon acceptance. Project page: https://github.com/123321456-gif/Canoverse

CoSMo3D: Open-World Promptable 3D Semantic Part Segmentation through LLM-Guided Canonical Spatial Modeling

Open-world promptable 3D semantic segmentation remains brittle as semantics are inferred in the input sensor coordinates. Yet, humans, in contrast, interpret parts via functional roles in a canonical space -- wings extend laterally, handles protrude to the side, and legs support from below. Psychophysical evidence shows that we mentally rotate objects into canonical frames to reveal these roles. To fill this gap, we propose \methodName{}, which attains canonical space perception by inducing a latent canonical reference frame learned directly from data. By construction, we create a unified canonical dataset through LLM-guided intra- and cross-category alignment, exposing canonical spatial regularities across 200 categories. By induction, we realize canonicality inside the model through a dual-branch architecture with canonical map anchoring and canonical box calibration, collapsing pose variation and symmetry into a stable canonical embedding. This shift from input pose space to canonical embedding yields far more stable and transferable part semantics. Experimental results show that \methodName{} establishes new state of the art in open-world promptable 3D segmentation.

Reinforcing Real-world Service Agents: Balancing Utility and Cost in Task-oriented Dialogue

The rapid evolution of Large Language Models (LLMs) has accelerated the transition from conversational chatbots to general agents. However, effectively balancing empathetic communication with budget-aware decision-making remains an open challenge. Since existing methods fail to capture these complex strategic trade-offs, we propose InteractCS-RL, a framework that reframes task-oriented dialogue as a multi-granularity reinforcement learning process. Specifically, we first establish a User-centric Interaction Framework to provide a high-fidelity training gym, enabling agents to dynamically explore diverse strategies with persona-driven users. Then, we introduce Cost-aware Multi-turn Policy Optimization (CMPO) with a hybrid advantage estimation strategy. By integrating generative process credits and employing a PID-Lagrangian cost controller, CMPO effectively guides the policy to explore Pareto boundary between user reward and global cost constraints. Extensive experiments on customized real business scenarios demonstrate that InteractCS-RL significantly outperform other baselines across three evaluation dimensions. Further evaluation on tool-agent-user interaction benchmarks verify InteractCS-RL robustness across diverse domains.

LAER-MoE: Load-Adaptive Expert Re-layout for Efficient Mixture-of-Experts Training

Expert parallelism is vital for effectively training Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) models, enabling different devices to host distinct experts, with each device processing different input data. However, during expert parallel training, dynamic routing results in significant load imbalance among experts: a handful of overloaded experts hinder overall iteration, emerging as a training bottleneck. In this paper, we introduce LAER-MoE, an efficient MoE training framework. The core of LAER-MoE is a novel parallel paradigm, Fully Sharded Expert Parallel (FSEP), which fully partitions each expert parameter by the number of devices and restores partial experts at expert granularity through All-to-All communication during training. This allows for flexible re-layout of expert parameters during training to enhance load balancing. In particular, we perform fine-grained scheduling of communication operations to minimize communication overhead. Additionally, we develop a load balancing planner to formulate re-layout strategies of experts and routing schemes for tokens during training. We perform experiments on an A100 cluster, and the results indicate that our system achieves up to 1.69x acceleration compared to the current state-of-the-art training systems. ASIL: Augmented Structural Information Learning for Deep Graph Clustering in Hyperbolic Space

Graph clustering is a longstanding topic in machine learning. Recently, deep methods have achieved results but still require predefined cluster numbers K and struggle with imbalanced graphs. We study deep graph clustering without K considering realistic imbalance through structural information theory. In the literature, structural information is rarely used in deep clustering, and its classic discrete definition neglects node attributes while exhibiting prohibitive complexity. In this paper, we establish a differentiable structural information framework, generalizing the discrete formalism to the continuous realm. We design a hyperbolic model (LSEnet) to learn the neural partitioning tree in the Lorentz model. Theoretically, we demonstrate its capability in clustering without K and identifying minority clusters. Second, we refine hyperbolic representations to enhance graph semantics. Since tree contrastive learning is non-trivial and costs quadratic complexity, we advance our theory by discovering that structural entropy bounds the tree contrastive loss. Finally, we approach graph clustering through a novel augmented structural information learning (ASIL), which offers an efficient objective to integrate hyperbolic partitioning tree construction and contrastive learning. With a provable improvement in graph conductance, ASIL achieves effective debiased graph clustering in linear complexity. Extensive experiments show ASIL outperforms 20 strong baselines by an average of +12.42% in NMI on the Citeseer dataset.

Full-Time-Scale Power Management Strategy for Hybrid AC/DC/DS Microgrid with Dynamic Concatenation and Autonomous Frequency / Voltage Restorations

Hybrid AC/DC microgrids with distributed energy storage (DS) improve power reliability in remote areas. Existing power management methods either focus on steady-state power sharing or transient inertia support, but rarely combine both. They also often ignore frequency and voltage deviations caused by droop control, which can harm sensitive loads. To overcome these issues, this paper proposes a full-time-scale (FTS) power management strategy that unifies transient inertia sharing and steady-state power allocation through a novel dynamic concatenator. It also introduces autonomous frequency/voltage restoration to eliminate steady-state deviations in each subgrid. Additionally, a global equivalent circuit model (GECM) is developed to simplify system analysis and design. Experiments confirm that the approach maintains nominal frequency and voltage in steady state while enabling seamless transition between transient inertia support and proportional power sharing across all time scales.

APD-Agents: A Large Language Model-Driven Multi-Agents Collaborative Framework for Automated Page Design

Layout design is a crucial step in developing mobile app pages. However, crafting satisfactory designs is time-intensive for designers: they need to consider which controls and content to present on the page, and then repeatedly adjust their size, position, and style for better aesthetics and structure. Although many design software can now help to perform these repetitive tasks, extensive training is needed to use them effectively. Moreover, collaborative design across app pages demands extra time to align standards and ensure consistent styling. In this work, we propose APD-agents, a large language model (LLM) driven multi-agent framework for automated page design in mobile applications. Our framework contains OrchestratorAgent, SemanticParserAgent, PrimaryLayoutAgent, TemplateRetrievalAgent, and RecursiveComponentAgent. Upon receiving the user's description of the page, the OrchestratorAgent can dynamically can direct other agents to accomplish users' design task. To be specific, the SemanticParserAgent is responsible for converting users' descriptions of page content into structured data. The PrimaryLayoutAgent can generate an initial coarse-grained layout of this page. The TemplateRetrievalAgent can fetch semantically relevant few-shot examples and enhance the quality of layout generation. Besides, a RecursiveComponentAgent can be used to decide how to recursively generate all the fine-grained sub-elements it contains for each element in the layout. Our work fully leverages the automatic collaboration capabilities of large-model-driven multi-agent systems. Experimental results on the RICO dataset show that our APD-agents achieve state-of-the-art performance.

Competition between Glassy Five-Fold Structures and Locally Dense Packing Structures Governs Two-Stage Compaction of Granular Hexapods

Using X-ray tomography, we experimentally investigate the structural evolution of packings composed of 3D-printed hexapod particles, each formed by three mutually orthogonal spherocylinders, during tap-induced compaction. We identify two distinct structural compaction mechanisms: an initial stage dominated by enhanced particle interlocking, which yields local mechanically stable structures through strong geometric entanglement, and a later stage characterized by the formation of dense polytetrahedral aggregates and a sharp increase in the number of five-ring motifs. The emergence of these five-fold symmetric structures indicates that, despite their highly concave geometry, hexapod packings can be effectively treated as hard-sphere-like systems and exhibit similar glass-like disordered configurations. The frustration between local mechanically stable structures and global glassy order suggests a universal organizational principle underlying the structure of uniform and isotropic disordered granular materials.
