Unstable Entropy and Unstable Pressure for Random Partially Hyperbolic Dynamical Systems

Let $\mathcal{F}$ be a $C^2$ random partially hyperbolic dynamical system. For the unstable foliation, the corresponding unstable metric entropy, unstable topological entropy and unstable pressure via the dynamics of $\mathcal{F}$ on the unstable foliation are introduced and investigated. A version of Shannon-McMillan-Breiman Theorem for unstable metric entropy is given, and a variational principle for unstable pressure (and hence for unstable entropy) is obtained. Moreover, as an application of the variational principle, equilibrium states for the unstable pressure including Gibbs $u$-states are investigated.

Entropies of commuting transformations on Hilbert spaces

By establishing Multiplicative Ergodic Theorem for commutative transformations on a separable infinite dimensional Hilbert space, in this paper, we investigate Pesin's entropy formula and SRB measures of a finitely generated random transformations on such space via its commuting generators. Moreover, as an application, we give a formula of Friedland's entropy for certain $C^{2}$ $\mathbb{N}^2$-actions.

Unstable Entropy and Unstable Pressure for Partially Hyperbolic Endomorphisms

In this paper, unstable metric entropy, unstable topological entropy and unstable pressure for partially hyperbolic endomorphisms are introduced and investigated. A version of Shannon-McMillan-Breiman Theorem is established, and a variational principle is formulated, which gives a relationship between unstable metric entropy and unstable pressure (unstable topological entropy). As an application of the variational principle, some results on the $u$-equilibrium states are given.

Unstable pressure and u-equilibrium states for partially hyperbolic diffeomorphsims

Unstable pressure and u-equilibrium states are introduced and investigated for a partially hyperbolic diffeomorphsim $f$. We define the u-pressure $P^u(f, φ)$ of $f$ at a continuous function $φ$ via the dynamics of $f$ on local unstable leaves. A variational principle for unstable pressure $P^u(f, φ)$, which states that $P^u(f, φ)$ is the supremum of the sum of the unstable entropy and the integral of $φ$ taken over all invariant measures, is obtained. U-equilibrium states at which the supremum in the variational principle attains and their relation to Gibbs u-states are studied. Differentiability properties of unstable pressure, such as tangent functionals, Gateaux differentiability and Fréchet differentiability and their relations to u-equilibrium states, are also considered.

A note on two types of Lyapunov exponents and entropies for $\mathbb{Z}^k$-actions

In this paper, two types of Lyapunov exponents: random Lyapunov exponents and directional Lyapunov exponents, and the corresponding entropies: random entropy and directional entropy, are considered for smooth $\mathbb{Z}^k$-actions. The close relation among these quantities are investigated and the formulas of them are given via the Lyapunov exponents of the generators.

Entropy Formula for Random $\mathbb{Z}^k$-actions

In this paper, entropies, including measure-theoretic entropy and topological entropy, are considered for random $\mathbb{Z}^k$-actions which are generated by random compositions of the generators of $\mathbb{Z}^k$-actions. Applying Pesin's theory for commutative diffeomorphisms we obtain a measure-theoretic entropy formula of $C^{2}$ random $\mathbb{Z}^k$-actions via the Lyapunov spectra of the generators. Some formulas and bounds of topological entropy for certain random $\mathbb{Z}^k$(or $\mathbb{Z}_+^k$ )-actions generated by more general maps, such as Lipschitz maps, continuous maps on finite graphs and $C^{1}$ expanding maps, are also obtained. Moreover, as an application, we give a formula of Friedland's entropy for certain $C^{2}$ $\mathbb{Z}^k$-actions.

Center Specification Property and Entropy for Partially Hyperbolic Diffeomorphisms

Let $f$ be a partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism on a closed (i.e., compact and boundaryless) Riemannian manifold $M$ with a uniformly compact center foliation $\mathcal{W}^{c}$. The relationship among topological entropy $h(f)$, entropy of the restriction of $f$ on the center foliation $h(f, \mathcal{W}^{c})$ and the growth rate of periodic center leaves $p^{c}(f)$ is investigated. It is first shown that if a compact locally maximal invariant center set $Λ$ is center topologically mixing then $f|_Λ$ has the center specification property, i.e., any specification with a large spacing can be center shadowed by a periodic center leaf with a fine precision. Applying the center spectral decomposition and the center specification property, we show that $ h(f)\leq h(f,\mathcal{W}^{c})+p^{c}(f)$. Moreover, if the center foliation $\mathcal{W}^{c}$ is of dimension one, we obtain an equality $h(f)= p^{c}(f)$.

Quasi-Shadowing for Partially Hyperbolic Diffeomorphisms

A partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism $f$ has quasi-shadowing property if for any pseudo orbit ${x_k}_{k\in \mathbb{Z}}$, there is a sequence of points ${y_k}_{k\in \mathbb{Z}}$ tracing it in which $y_{k+1}$ is obtained from $f(y_k)$ by a motion $τ$ along the center direction. We show that any partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism has quasi-shadowing property, and if $f$ has $C^1$ center foliation then we can require $τ$ to move the points along the center foliation. As applications, we show that any partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism is topologically quasi-stable under $C^0$-perturbation. When $f$ has uniformly compact $C^1$ center foliation, we also give partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism versions of some theorems holden for uniformly hyperbolic systems, such as Anosov closing lemma, cloud lemma and spectral decomposition theorem.

Quasi-Shadowing and Quasi-Stability for Dynamically Coherent Partially Hyperbolic Diffeomorphisms

Let $f$ be a partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism. $f$ is called has the quasi-shadowing property if for any pseudo orbit $\{x_k\}_{k\in \mathbb{Z}}$, there is a sequence $\{y_k\}_{k\in \mathbb{Z}}$ tracing it in which $y_{k+1}$ lies in the local center leaf of $f(y_k)$ for any $k\in \mathbb{Z}$. $f$ is called topologically quasi-stable if for any homeomorphism $g$ $C^0$-close to $f$, there exist a continuous map $π$ and a motion $τ$ along the center foliation such that $π\circ g=τ\circ f\circπ$. In this paper we prove that if $f$ is dynamically coherent then it has quasi-shadowing and topological quasi-stability properties.

On an entropy of $Z_+^k$-actions

In this paper, a definition of entropy for $\mathbb{Z}_+^k(k\geq2)$-actions due to S. Friedland \cite{Friedland} is studied. Unlike the traditional definition, it may take a nonzero value for actions whose generators have finite (even zero) entropy as single transformations. Some basic properties are investigated and its value for the $\mathbb{Z}_+^k$-actions on circles generated by expanding endomorphisms is given. Moreover, an upper bound of this entropy for the $\mathbb{Z}_+^k$-actions on tori generated by expanding endomorphisms is obtained via the preimage entropies, which are entropy-like invariants depending on the "inverse orbits" structure of the system.

Quasi-Stability of Partially Hyperbolic Diffeomorphisms

A partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism $f$ is structurally quasi-stable if for any diffeomorphism $g$ $C^1$-close to $f$, there is a homeomorphism $π$ of $M$ such that $π\circ g$ and $f\circπ$ differ only by a motion $τ$ along center directions. $f$ is topologically quasi-stable if for any homeomorphism $g$ $C^0$-close to $f$, the above holds for a continuous map $π$ instead of a homeomorphism. We show that any partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism $f$ is topologically quasi-stable, and if $f$ has $C^1$ center foliation $W^c_f$, then $f$ is structurally quasi-stable. As applications we obtain continuity of topological entropy for certain partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms with one or two dimensional center foliation.
