Special vs Essential

We show a correspondence between the compact exceptional curves and divisors on $G-{\rm Hilb}(\mathbf{C}^3)$ and some non-trivial irreducible representations of $G \subset GL(n,C)$ which are special (or essential). Moreover, we provide an explicit construction of the small resolution of $G-{\rm Hilb}(\mathbf{C}^3)$ and, using this resolution, we construct a correspondence between special and essential representations. These results are an extension of ``Special McKay correspondence'' and ``Reid's recipe''.

Resolutions and deformations of cyclic quotient surface singularities

In this paper, we investigate the relations among various results concerning the minimal resolution of cyclic quotient singularities of the form $\mathbb{C}^2/G$. We refer to these as "bamboo-type" singularities, since the dual graphs of the exceptional curves in their resolutions resemble the shape of bamboo. We present classical results on the minimal resolution of singularities, the $G$-Hilbert scheme, the generalized McKay correspondence, deformations of singularities, and quiver varieties. These results have been obtained independently in different contexts, and here we provide a unified exposition enriched with numerous examples, which we hope will serve as a useful guide to the study of two-dimensional cyclic singularities. Moreover, this survey aims to offer insights that may inspire generalizations to non-cyclic singularities and to higher-dimensional quotient singularities.

Multigraded linear series and recollement

Given a scheme $Y$ equipped with a collection of globally generated vector bundles $E_1, \dots, E_n$, we study the universal morphism from $Y$ to a fine moduli space $\mathcal{M}(E)$ of cyclic modules over the endomorphism algebra of $E:=\mathcal{O}_Y\oplus E_1\oplus\cdots \oplus E_n$. This generalises the classical morphism to the linear series of a basepoint-free line bundle on a scheme. We describe the image of the morphism and present necessary and sufficient conditions for surjectivity in terms of a recollement of a module category. When the morphism is surjective, this gives a fine moduli space interpretation of the image, and as an application we show that for a small, finite subgroup $G\subset \text{GL}(2,k)$, every sub-minimal partial resolution of $\mathbb{A}^2_k/G$ is isomorphic to a fine moduli space $\mathcal{M}(E_C)$ where $E_C$ is a summand of the bundle $E$ defining the reconstruction algebra. We also consider applications to Gorenstein affine threefolds, where Reid's recipe sheds some light on the classes of algebra from which one can reconstruct a given crepant resolution.

On G/N-Hilb of N-Hilb

In this paper we consider the iterated G-equivariant Hilbert scheme G/N-Hilb(N-Hilb) and prove that G/N-Hilb(N-Hilb(C^3)) is a crepant resolution of C^3/G isomorphic to the moduli space of θ-stable representations of the McKay quiver for certain stability condition θ. We provide several explicit examples to illustrate this construction. We also consider the problem of when G/N-Hilb(N-Hilb) is isomorphic to G-Hilb showing the fact that these spaces are most of the times different.

Special McKay correspondence

There are many generalizations of the McKay correspondence for higher dimensional Gorenstein quotient singularities and there are some applications to compute the topological invariants today. But some of the invariants are completely different from the classical invariants, in particular for non-Gorenstein cases. In this paper, we would like to discuss the McKay correspondence for 2-dimensional quotient singularities via "special" representations which gives the classical topological invariants and give a new characterization of the special representations for cyclic quotient singularities in terms of combinatorics.

McKay correspondence and Hilbert schemes in dimension three

Let $G$ be a nontrivial finite subgroup of $\SL_n(\C)$. Suppose that the quotient singularity $\C^n/G$ has a crepant resolution $π\colon X\to \C^n/G$ (i.e. $K_X = \shfO_X$). There is a slightly imprecise conjecture, called the McKay correspondence, stating that there is a relation between the Grothendieck group (or (co)homology group) of $X$ and the representations (or conjugacy classes) of $G$ with a ``certain compatibility'' between the intersection product and the tensor product (see e.g. \cite{Maizuru}). The purpose of this paper is to give more precise formulation of the conjecture when $X$ can be given as a certain variety associated with the Hilbert scheme of points in $\C^n$. We give the proof of this new conjecture for an abelian subgroup $G$ of $\SL_3(\C)$.

The McKay correspondence for finite subgroups of SL(3,\C)

This is the final draft, containing very minor proof-reading corrections. Let G in SL(n,\C) be a finite subgroup and \fie: Y -> X = \C^n/G any resolution of singularities of the quotient space. We prove that crepant exceptional prime divisors of Y correspond one-to-one with ``junior'' conjugacy classes of G. When n = 2 this is a version of the McKay correspondence (with irreducible representations of G replaced by conjugacy classes). In the case n = 3, a resolution with K_Y = 0 is known to exist by work of Roan and others; we prove the existence of a basis of H^*(Y, \Q) by algebraic cycles in one-to-one correspondence with conjugacy classes of G. Our treatment leaves lots of open problems.

Gorenstein Quotient Singularities of Monomial Type in Dimension Three

The purpose of this paper is to construct a crepant resolution of quotient singularities by finite subgroups of SL(3,C) of monomial type, and prove that the Euler number of the resolution is equal to the number of conjugacy classes. This result is a part of conjecture II in previous paper "Crepant resolution of trihedral singularities" (alg-geom 9404008). These singularities are different from trihedral, but main idea of the proof is based on the method of trihedral case.

Crepant resolution of trihedral singularities

The purpose of this paper is to construct a crepant resolution of quotient singularities by trihedral groups ( finite subgroups of SL(3,C) of certain type ), and prove that each Euler number of the minimal model is equal to the number of conjugacy classes. Trihedral singularities are 3-dimensional version of D_n-singularities, and they are non-isolated and many of them are not complete intersections. The resolution is similar to one of D_n-singularities. There is a nice combination of the toric resolution and Calabi-Yau resolution.
