Growth Estimates for Solutions to the Wave Equation on Damek--Ricci Spaces

Let $\mathcal{L}$ be the positive definite left-invariant distinguished Laplacian, and let $\mathrm{d}ρ$ denote the right Haar measure on a Damek--Ricci space $S$. Let $u(t,x)$ denote the solution to the wave equation $\partial_t^2 u + \mathcal{L} u=0$ with initial data $(u,\partial_t u)|_{t=0}=(f,g)$. In this paper, we establish the sharp-in-regularity $L^p$-bounds \begin{align*} \|u(t,\cdot)\|_{L^p(S ,\mathrm{d}ρ)} \lesssim_p(1+|t|)^{2|\frac{1}{p}-\frac{1}{2}|}\|(\mathrm{Id}+\mathcal{L})^{\frac{α_0}{2}}\!f\|_{L^p(S ,\mathrm{d}ρ)}+(1+|t|)\,\|(\mathrm{Id}+\mathcal{L})^{\frac{α_1}{2}}\!g\|_{L^p(S,\mathrm{d}ρ)} \end{align*} for all $t\in\mathbb{R}^*$ and $1<p<\infty$, where the exponents $α_0 = (n-1)\left|1/p-1/2\right|$ and $α_1 = (n-1)\left|1/p-1/2\right| -1$ attain their critical values. This result settles, in full generality, the conjecture raised by Müller, Thiele, and Vallarino.

ACE-Data-0: Human-Centric Ambient Capture as Embodied Data Engine

Embodied intelligence faces a fundamental data bottleneck. Models must capture how first-person perception, whole-body motion, dexterous manipulation, object state, sound, and touch evolve together as humans pursue goals over time. Existing datasets fragment this experience across viewpoints, modalities, or spatial scales, leaving the full perception-action loop only partially observed. We introduce the Ambient Capture Engine (ACE), a human-centric data engine that transforms real home environments into spatially calibrated, temporally synchronized recording studios. ACE operates at two complementary scales: a table-scale configuration resolves hand-object manipulation, while a room-scale configuration captures whole-body motion, locomotion, and interactions across a furnished home. ACE records egocentric and multi-view exocentric video, full-body and articulated hand motion, object geometry and 6-DoF trajectories, audio, and tactile signals as a unified multisensory stream. Using ACE, we build ACE-Data-0, comprising 150 hours and 17M video frames across 200 task categories, performed by 50 participants in 2 environments, for a total of 75,000 interaction episodes. The dataset spans atomic manipulation, long-horizon chains of household activities, and human-scene interaction, while preserving natural behavioral variation through goal-level rather than step-by-step instructions. We further introduce a hierarchical benchmark that progresses from signals to scene components and then to interactions. Evaluations of state-of-the-art methods expose substantial gaps under contact, occlusion, egomotion, and long temporal horizons. ACE-Data-0 provides synchronized human demonstrations with aligned perceptual, kinematic, and contact supervision, offering a scalable foundation for imitation learning, world models, vision-language-action systems, and embodied AI.

Lacunary Spherical Maximal Operators on Hyperbolic Spaces

We prove that the lacunary spherical maximal operator, defined on the $n$-dimensional real hyperbolic space, is bounded on $L^p(\H^n)$ for all $n\ge2$ and $1<p\le\infty$. In particular, the lacunary set is significantly larger than its Euclidean counterpart, reflecting the influence of the geometry at infinity of the hyperbolic space.

Thermodynamical phase structures and particle emission rate of charged AdS black hole surrounded by string cloud and quintessence via shadow formalism

In this paper, the shadow of the four-dimensional charged AdS black hole surrounded by string cloud and quintessence is derived. The shadow radius shows a strictly monotonic and invertible correlation with the event horizon radius. The phase structures of the black hole for different parameters are reproduced through traditional thermodynamic geometry, which are similar to a van der Waals system. By analyzing the phase structure of the black hole in the context of shadows, thermodynamical phase structures with the shadow radius as the variable replicate the phase transition with the event horizon radius as the variable. We present the energy emission rates for massless and massive particles and discover that the maximum emission frequency can also serve as a useful tool for thermodynamic analysis. We firstly study and systematically establish shadow thermodynamics under the background of string cloud and quintessence, and our results reveal the independent regulatory mechanism of dark components on phase transitions as well as the universal topological invariance of the phase transition structure.

Decoding ML Decision: An Agentic Reasoning Framework for Large-Scale Ranking System

Modern large-scale ranking systems operate within a sophisticated landscape of competing objectives, operational constraints, and evolving product requirements. Progress in this domain is increasingly bottlenecked by the engineering context constraint: the arduous process of translating ambiguous product intent into reasonable, executable, verifiable hypotheses, rather than by modeling techniques alone. We present GEARS (Generative Engine for Agentic Ranking Systems), a framework that reframes ranking optimization as an autonomous discovery process within a programmable experimentation environment. Rather than treating optimization as static model selection, GEARS leverages Specialized Agent Skills to encapsulate ranking expert knowledge into reusable reasoning capabilities, enabling operators to steer systems via high-level intent vibe personalization. Furthermore, to ensure production reliability, the framework incorporates validation hooks to enforce statistical robustness and filter out brittle policies that overfit short-term signals. Experimental validation across diverse product surfaces demonstrates that GEARS consistently identifies superior, near-Pareto-efficient policies by synergizing algorithmic signals with deep ranking context while maintaining rigorous deployment stability.

MSGNav: Unleashing the Power of Multi-modal 3D Scene Graph for Zero-Shot Embodied Navigation

Embodied navigation is a fundamental capability for robotic agents operating. Real-world deployment requires open vocabulary generalization and low training overhead, motivating zero-shot methods rather than task-specific RL training. However, existing zero-shot methods that build explicit 3D scene graphs often compress rich visual observations into text-only relations, leading to high construction cost, irreversible loss of visual evidence, and constrained vocabularies. To address these limitations, we introduce the Multi-modal 3D Scene Graph (M3DSG), which preserves visual cues by replacing textual relational edges with dynamically assigned images. Built on M3DSG, we propose MSGNav, a zero-shot navigation system that includes a Key Subgraph Selection module for efficient reasoning, an Adaptive Vocabulary Update module for open vocabulary support, and a Closed-Loop Reasoning module for accurate exploration reasoning. Additionally, we further identify the last mile problem in zero-shot navigation determining the feasible target location with a suitable final viewpoint, and propose a Visibility-based Viewpoint Decision module to explicitly resolve it. Comprehensive experimental results demonstrate that MSGNav achieves state-of-the-art performance on the challenging GOAT-Bench and HM3D-ObjNav benchmark. The code will be publicly available at https://github.com/ylwhxht/MSGNav.

The Spherical Maximal Operators on Hyperbolic Spaces

In this article we investigate $L^p$ boundedness of the spherical maximal operator $\mathfrak{m}^α$ of (complex) order $α$ on the $n$-dimensional hyperbolic space $\mathbb{H}^n$, which was introduced and studied by El Kohen. We prove that when $n\geq 2$, for $α\in\mathbb{R}$ and $1 1-n+n/p$ for $1 \max \{{(2-n)/p}-{1/(p p_n)},{(2-n)/p}- (p-2)/[p p_n(p_n-2)]\} $ for $2\leq p\leq \infty$, with $p_n=2(n+1)/(n-1)$ for $n\geq 3$ and $p_n=4$ for $n=2$.

Sharp $L^p$-estimates for wave equation on $ax+b$ groups

Let $G$ be the group $\mathbb{R}_+\ltimes \mathbb{R}^n$ endowed with Riemannian symmetric space metric $d$ and the right Haar measure $\mathrm{d} ρ$ which is of $ax+b$ type, and $L$ be the positive definite distinguished left invariant Laplacian on $G$. Let $u=u(t,\cdot)$ be the solution of $u_{tt}+Lu=0$ with initial conditions $u|_{t=0}=f$ and $u_t|_{t=0}=g$. In this article we show that for a fixed $t \in{\mathbb R}$ and every $1<p<\infty$, \begin{align*} \|u(t,\cdot)\|_{L^p(G)}\leq C_p\Big( (1+|t|)^{2|1/p-1/2|}\|f\|_{L^p_{α_0}(G)}+(1+|t|)\,\|g\|_{L^p_{α_1}(G)}\Big) \end{align*} if and only if \begin{align*} α_0\geq n\left|{1\over p}- {1\over2}\right| \quad \mbox{and} \quad α_1\geq n\left|{1\over p}- {1\over2}\right| -1. \end{align*} This gives an endpoint result for $α_0=n|1/p-1/2|$ and $α_1=n|1/p-1/2|-1$ with $1<p<\infty$ in Corollary 8.2, as pointed out in Remark 8.1 due to Müller and Thiele [Studia Math. \textbf{179} (2007)].

Performance study of the JadePix-3 telescope from a beam test

We present the results of a beam test conducted on a telescope using the JadePix-3 pixel sensor, developed with TowerJazz 180 nm CMOS imaging technology. The telescope is composed of five planes, each equipped with a JadePix-3 sensor with pitches of 26 um x 16 um and 23.11 um x 16 um. In addition, it features an FPGA-based synchronous readout system. The telescope underwent testing using an electron beam with energy ranging from 4 to 6 GeV. At an electron energy of 5.4 GeV, the telescope demonstrated superior spatial resolutions of 2.6 and 2.3 um in two dimensions. By designating the central plane as the device under test, we evaluated the JadePix-3 sensor's spatial resolutions as 5.2 and 4.6 um in two dimensions, achieving a detection efficiency of over 99%.

Stretchable optical diffraction grating from poly(acrylic acid)/polyethylene oxide stereocomplex

Optical gratings are a key component in many spectroscopy, communications, and imaging systems. While initially static elements, advances in optical materials have enabled dynamically tunable gratings to be designed. One common tuning strategy is relying on mechanical deformation of the grating pitch to modify the diffraction pattern. To date, most mechanically adaptive optical gratings consist of a hybrid system where rigid moieties are patterned on an elastomeric substrate. In the present work, we demonstrate an all-polymer tunable grating that is fabricated using replica molding from the poly(acrylic acid) (PAA)/polyethylene oxide (PEO) polymer stereocomplex. PAA/PEO pristine films exhibit excellent optical transmittance at or above 80% from 500 nm to 1400 nm and stretchability over 800% strain. The experimental studies on the changes of diffraction mode distances with respect to the applied strains agree well with the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) theoretical modeling.

Dispersion independent long-haul photon counting OTDR

Photon counting optical time-domain reflectometry (PC-OTDR) based on the single photon detection is an effective scheme to attain the high spatial resolution for optical fiber fault monitoring. Currently, due to the spatial resolution of PC-OTDR is proportional to the pulse width of a laser beam, short laser pulses are essential for the high spatial resolution. However, short laser pulses have a large bandwidth, which would be widened by the dispersion of fiber, thereby causing inevitable deterioration in spatial resolution, especially for long-haul fiber links. In this letter, we propose a scheme of dispersion independent PC-OTDR based on an infinite backscatter technique. Our experimental results -with more than 50 km long fiber - show that the spatial resolution of the PC-OTDR system is independent with the total dispersion of the fiber under test. Our method provides an avenue for developing the long-haul PC-OTDR with high performance.

High Dynamic Range Externally Time-gated Photon Counting Optical Time-domain Reflectometry

Single photon detector (SPD) has a maximum count rate due to its dead time, which results in that the dynamic range of photon counting optical time-domain reflectometry (PC-OTDR) de-creases with the length of monitored fiber. To further improve the dynamic range of PC-OTDR, we propose and demonstrate an externally time-gated scheme. The externally time-gated scheme is realized by using a high-speed optical switch, i.e. a Mach-Zehnder interferometer, to modulate the back-propagation optical signal, and to allow that only a certain segment of the fiber is monitored by the SPD. The feasibility of proposed scheme is first examined with theoretical analysis and simulation; then we experimentally demonstrate it with our experimental PC-OTDR testbed operating at 800 nm wavelength band. In our studies, a dynamic range of 30.0 dB is achieved in a 70 meters long PC-OTDR system with 50 ns external gates, corresponding to an improvement of 11.0 dB in dynamic range comparing with no gating operation. Furthermore, with the improved dynamic range, a successful identification of a 0.37 dB loss event is detected with 30-seconds accumulation, which could not be identified without gating operation. Our scheme paves an avenue for developing PC-OTDR systems with high dynamic range.
