Viability theorem for deterministic mean field type control systems

A mean field type control system is a dynamical system in the Wasserstein space describing an evolution of a large population of agents with mean-field interaction under a control of a unique decision maker. We develop the viability theorem for the mean field type control system. To this end we introduce a set of tangent elements to the given set of probabilities. Each tangent element is a distribution on the tangent bundle of the phase space. The viability theorem for mean field type control systems is formulated in the classical way: the given set of probabilities on phase space is viable if and only if the set of tangent distributions intersects with the set of distributions feasible by virtue of dynamics.

Deterministic limit of mean field games associated with nonlinear Markov processes

The paper is concerned with the deterministic limit of mean field games with the nonlocal coupling. It is assumed that the dynamics of mean field games are given by nonlinear Markov processes. This type of games includes stochastic mean field games as well as mean field games with finite state space. We consider the limiting deterministic mean field game within the framework of minimax approach. The concept of minimax solutions is close to the probabilistic formulation. In this case the Hamilton--Jacobi equation is considered in the minimax/viscosity sense, whereas the flow of probabilities is determined by the probability on the set of solutions of the differential inclusion associated with the Hamilton-Jacobi equation such that those solutions are viable in the graph of the minimax solution. The main result of the paper is the convergence (up to subsequence) of the solutions of the mean field games to the minimax solution of deterministic mean field game in the case when the underlying dynamics converge to the deterministic evolution.

Approximate solutions of continuous-time stochastic games

The paper is concerned with a zero-sum continuous-time stochastic differential game with a dynamics controlled by a Markov process and a terminal payoff. The value function of the original game is estimated using the value function of a model game. The dynamics of the model game differs from the original one. The general result applied to differential games yields the approximation of value function of differential game by the solution of countable system of ODEs.

Extremal shift rule for continuous-time zero-sum Markov games

In the paper we consider the controlled continuous-time Markov chain describing the interacting particles system with the finite number of types. The system is controlled by two players with the opposite purposes. The limiting game as the number of particles tends to infinity is a zero-sum differential game. Krasovskii--Subbotin extremal shift provides the optimal strategy in the limiting game. The main result of the paper is the near optimality of the Krasovskii--Subbotin extremal shift rule for the original Markov game.

Minimax Approach to First-Order Mean Field Games

The paper is devoted to the first-order mean field game system in the case when the distribution of players can contain atoms. The proposed definition of a generalized solution is based on the minimax approach to the Hamilton-Jacobi equation. We prove the existence of the generalized (minimax) solution of the mean filed game system using the Nash equilibrium in the auxiliary differential game with infinitely many identical players. We show that the minimax solution of the original system provide the $\varepsilon$-Nash equilibrium in the differential game with finite number of players.

Inverse Stackelberg Solutions for Games with Many Followers

The paper is devoted to inverse Stackelberg games with many players. We consider both static and differential games. The main assumption of the paper is the compactness of the strategy sets. We obtain the characterization of inverse Stackelberg solutions and under additional concavity conditions establish the existence theorem.

Universal Nash Equilibrium Strategies for Differential Games

The paper is concerned with a two-player nonzero-sum differential game in the case when players are informed about the current position. We consider the game in control with guide strategies first proposed by Krasovskii and Subbotin. The construction of universal strategies is given both for the case of continuous and discontinuous value functions. The existence of a discontinuous value function is established. The continuous value function does not exist in the general case. In addition, we show the example of smooth value function not being a solution of the system of Hamilton--Jacobi equation.

Proximal Calculus and Universal Feedback Strategies in Two Person Non-Zero Sum Differential Games

In this paper we introduce the discontinuous universal feedback for the problem of Nash equilibrium in two person non-zero sum differential game. We assume that there exist functions satisfying some conditions analogous to the infinitesimal conditions on value function in zero sum differential games. Under this assumption we prove the existence of universal feedback Nash equilibrium.

Characterization of Feedback Nash Equilibrium for Differential Games

We investigate the set of Nash equilibrium payoffs for two person differential games. The main result of the paper is the characterization of the set of Nash equilibrium payoffs in the terms of nonsmooth analysis. Also we obtain the sufficient conditions for a pair of continuous function to provide a Nash equilibrium. This result generalizes the method of system of Hamilton-Jacobi equations.

On a Structure of the Set of Differential Games Values

In this paper the set of value functions of all-possible zero-sum differential games with terminal payoff is characterized. The necessary and sufficient condition for a given function to be a value of some differential game with terminal payoff is obtained.
