SGPDFuse: Semantically-Guided Physics-Disentanglement General Multi-Modal Image Fusion

Multimodal image fusion (MMIF) aims to integrate complementary sensor data into a single representation that preserves intrinsic scene reality while eliminating environmental interferences. Most existing approaches rely on blind feature aggregation, which excels at signal accumulation but fails to distinguish essential content from physical degradations. We propose SGPDFuse, which bridges this gap by mapping inputs into a physics-disentangled structural representation via a Semantic-Physical Parametric Bridge (SPPB) built on pretrained vision foundation models, utilizing the Intrinsic-Variation principle to decouple invariant scene attributes from transient environmental factors. To guide this decomposition, we introduce a Semantic Alignment mechanism: we explicitly anchor the fused representation to salient semantic features in the same foundation model feature space via cosine similarity to preserve critical targets, while enforcing physical texture fidelity through Gram-matrix regularization to strictly eliminate unnatural artifacts. Extensive experiments demonstrate that SGPDFuse achieves state-of-the-art performance across infrared-visible, multi-focus, and multi-exposure benchmarks using a single architecture.

EarlyDx: An Admission-Anchored Benchmark for Open-Ended Generation of Evidence-Supported ED-Encounter Diagnoses

Clinical diagnosis at hospital admission must be made rapidly from limited, incomplete evidence. Existing diagnosis-prediction benchmarks are poorly suited to this setting: they restrict prediction to closed code sets, exclude free-text notes, and supervise with discharge diagnoses that incorporate the full inpatient course. We introduce EarlyDx, a large-scale benchmark for open-ended early diagnosis, built from 154,834 emergency department encounters in MIMIC-IV. Each encounter is restricted to records available at admission time $t_0$ and supervised by the diagnoses recorded during the ED encounter rather than at discharge. An LLM auditor further verifies every free-text label as supported, partially supported, or unsupported by that evidence; the primary evaluation scores only fully supported labels. Under a semantic LLM-as-judge protocol, no evaluated system --- frontier general, medical-specialized, or in-domain post-trained --- synthesizes admission-time evidence reliably. Zero-shot models score largely by extraction, recovering only 3-31% of diagnoses that must be inferred rather than read from the record; post-training raises inference-dependent recall to 56%, but a sizeable margin remains, and on time-critical conditions no system attains a clinician's balance of sensitivity and precision. We release the full construction and evaluation pipeline at here.

From Triggers to Emotions: A CPM-Grounded Appraisal Multi-Agent for Dynamic Emotional Evolution in Persona-Based Dialogue

Large Language Models (LLMs) have substantially advanced persona-based dialogue agents for emotion-sensitive role simulation in healthcare, education, counseling, customer service, and interactive storytelling. However, two related lines of work leave a key gap. Persona-based dialogue systems often encode emotions as static traits or surface-level stylistic cues, and affective dialogue research has largely focused on empathetic response generation toward users rather than modeling the agent persona's own evolving emotional state. As a result, trigger-driven emotional evolution within a character remains underexplored. To address this limitation, we draw inspiration from the Component Process Model (CPM), a psychological theory that views emotion as a dynamic process shaped by the appraisal of external events. We propose CPM-MultiAgent, a CPM-grounded emotion evolution multi-agent framework for supporting emotional changes in persona-based dialogue. Instead of treating a character's emotion as a fixed attribute, CPM-MultiAgent represents it as a latent state that is continuously reshaped by dialogue triggers. Through affective trigger extraction, CPM-based collaborative appraisal, and emotion state updating, the framework enables more emotionally consistent role simulation in multi-turn interactions.Experiments with baseline comparisons, ablation studies, human evaluation, and case analyses demonstrate that CPM-MultiAgent effectively models dynamic emotional evolution in emotionally sensitive role-simulation settings.

RoboChallenge: Large-scale Real-robot Evaluation of Embodied Policies

Testing on real machines is indispensable for robotic control algorithms. In the context of learning-based algorithms, especially VLA models, demand for large-scale evaluation, i.e. testing a large number of models on a large number of tasks, is becoming increasingly urgent. However, doing this right is highly non-trivial, especially when scalability and reproducibility is taken into account. In this report, we describe our methodology for constructing RoboChallenge, an online evaluation system to test robotic control algorithms, and our survey of recent state-of-the-art VLA models using our initial benchmark Table30.

Automated Insertion of Flushes and Fences for Persistency

CXL shared memory and persistent memory allow the contents of memory to persist beyond crashes. Stores to persistent or CXL memory are typically not immediately made persistent; developers must manually flush the corresponding cache lines to force the data to be written to the underlying storage. Correctly using flush and fence operations is known to be challenging. While state-of-the-art tools can find missing flush instructions, they often require bug-revealing test cases. No existing tools can ensure the absence of missing flush bugs. In this paper, we present PMRobust, a compiler that automatically inserts flush and fence operations to ensure that code using persistent memory is free from missing flush and fence bugs. PMRobust employs a novel static analysis with optimizations that target newly allocated objects. We have evaluated PMRobust on persistent memory libraries and several persistent memory data structures and measured a geometric mean overhead of 0.26% relative to the original benchmarks with hand-placed flush and fence operations.

GRNN:Recurrent Neural Network based on Ghost Features for Video Super-Resolution

Modern video super-resolution (VSR) systems based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) require huge computational costs. The problem of feature redundancy is present in most models in many domains, but is rarely discussed in VSR. We experimentally observe that many features in VSR models are also similar to each other, so we propose to use "Ghost features" to reduce this redundancy. We also analyze the so-called "gradient disappearance" phenomenon generated by the conventional recurrent convolutional network (RNN) model, and combine the Ghost module with RNN to complete the modeling on time series. The current frame is used as input to the model together with the next frame, the output of the previous frame and the hidden state. Extensive experiments on several benchmark models and datasets show that the PSNR and SSIM of our proposed modality are improved to some extent. Some texture details in the video are also better preserved.

AMPCliff: quantitative definition and benchmarking of activity cliffs in antimicrobial peptides

Since the mechanism of action of drug molecules in the human body is difficult to reproduce in the in vitro environment, it becomes difficult to reveal the causes of the activity cliff phenomenon of drug molecules. We found out the AC of small molecules has been extensively investigated but limited knowledge is accumulated about the AC phenomenon in peptides with canonical amino acids. Understanding the mechanism of AC in canonical amino acids might help understand the one in drug molecules. This study introduces a quantitative definition and benchmarking framework AMPCliff for the AC phenomenon in antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) composed by canonical amino acids. A comprehensive analysis of the existing AMP dataset reveals a significant prevalence of AC within AMPs. AMPCliff quantifies the activities of AMPs by the MIC, and defines 0.9 as the minimum threshold for the normalized BLOSUM62 similarity score between a pair of aligned peptides with at least two-fold MIC changes. This study establishes a benchmark dataset of paired AMPs in Staphylococcus aureus from the publicly available AMP dataset GRAMPA, and conducts a rigorous procedure to evaluate various AMP AC prediction models, including nine machine learning, four deep learning algorithms, four masked language models, and four generative language models. Our analysis reveals that these models are capable of detecting AMP AC events and the pre-trained protein language model ESM2 demonstrates superior performance across the evaluations. The predictive performance of AMP activity cliffs remains to be further improved, considering that ESM2 with 33 layers only achieves the Spearman correlation coefficient 0.4669 for the regression task of the MIC values on the benchmark dataset. RA-ICM: A Novel Independent Cascade Model Incorporating User Relationships and Attitudes

The rapid development of social networks has a wide range of social effects, which facilitates the study of social issues. Accurately forecasting the information propagation process within social networks is crucial for promptly understanding the event direction and effectively addressing social problems in a scientific manner. The relationships between non-adjacent users and the attitudes of users significantly influence the information propagation process within social networks. However, existing research has ignored these two elements, which poses challenges for accurately predicting the information propagation process. This limitation significantly hinders the study of emotional contagion and influence maximization in social networks. To address these issues, by considering the relationships between non-adjacent users and the influence of user attitudes, we propose a new information propagation model based on the independent cascade model. Experimental results obtained from six real Weibo datasets validate the effectiveness of the proposed model, which is reflected in increased prediction accuracy and reduced time complexity. Furthermore, the information dissemination trend in social networks predicted by the proposed model closely resembles the actual information propagation process, which demonstrates the superiority of the proposed model.

Diode-like Selective Enhancement of Carrier Transport through Metal-Semiconductor Interface Decorated by Monolayer Boron Nitride

Two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors are promising material candidates for next-generation nanoelectronics. However, there are fundamental challenges related to their metal-semiconductor (MS) contacts which limit the performance potential for practical device applications. In this work, we exploit 2D monolayer hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) as an ultrathin decorating layer to form a metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) contact, and demonstrate a novel diode-like selective enhancement of the carrier transport through it. Compared to the conventional MS contact, the MIS contact dominated by both thermionic emission and quantum tunneling can significantly reduce the contact resistance and boost the electron transport from the semiconductor to the metal, but has negligible effects on the electron transport oppositely. We also investigate the negative barrier height with the concept of carrier collection barrier, and show its critical role at the drain end for determining the overall transistor performance.

LabelECG: A Web-based Tool for Distributed Electrocardiogram Annotation

Electrocardiography plays an essential role in diagnosing and screening cardiovascular diseases in daily healthcare. Deep neural networks have shown the potentials to improve the accuracies of arrhythmia detection based on electrocardiograms (ECGs). However, more ECG records with ground truth are needed to promote the development and progression of deep learning techniques in automatic ECG analysis. Here we propose a web-based tool for ECG viewing and annotating, LabelECG. With the facilitation of unified data management, LabelECG is able to distribute large cohorts of ECGs to dozens of technicians and physicians, who can simultaneously make annotations through web-browsers on PCs, tablets and cell phones. Along with the doctors from four hospitals in China, we applied LabelECG to support the annotations of about 15,000 12-lead resting ECG records in three months. These annotated ECGs have successfully supported the First China ECG intelligent Competition. La-belECG will be freely accessible on the Internet to support similar researches, and will also be upgraded through future works.
