Signals of CP Violation in Distributions of Top-Quark Decay Products at Linear Colliders

Angular and energy distributions for leptons and bottom quarks in the process e+e- --> t tbar --> l/b ... have been calculated assuming the most general top-quark couplings. The double distributions depend both on modification of the top-quark production and tbW decay vertices. However, the leptonic angular distribution turned out to be insensitive to non-standard parts of tbW vertex. The method of optimal observables have been used to estimate sensitivity of future measurements at linear e+e- colliders

Probing Top-Quark Couplings at Polarized NLC

The energy spectrum of the lepton(s) in e^+e^- --> tt-bar --> l^{+-} ...../l^+l^-..... at next linear colliders (NLC) is studied for arbitrary longitudinal beam polarizations as a possible test of new physics in top-quark couplings. The most general non-standard couplings for gamma-tt-bar, Ztt-bar and Wtb vertices are considered. Expected precision of the non-standard-parameter determination is estimated applying the optimal-observable procedure.

Effects of Non-Standard Interactions for the Energy Spectrum of Secondary Leptons in e^+e^- --> t t-bar

The process of top-quark pair production followed by semileptonic decays at future high-energy e^+e^- linear colliders is investigated as a possible test of physics beyond the Standard Model. Assuming the most general non-standard forms for gamma t t-bar, Z t t-bar and Wtb couplings, the energy spectrum of the single lepton l^{+-} and the energy correlation of l^+ and l^- emerging from the process e^+e^- --> t t-bar --> l^{+-} ... /l^+l^- ... are calculated. Expected precision of the non-standard-parameter determination is estimated adopting the recently-proposed optimal method.

Four-Fermi Effective Operators in Top-Quark Production and Decay

Effects of four-Fermi-type new interactions are studied in top-quark pair production and their subsequent decays at future e^+e^- colliders. Secondary-lepton-energy distributions are calculated for arbitrary longitudinal beam polarizations. An optimal-observables procedure is applied for the determination of new parameters.

Probing CP Violation via Top Polarization at NLC

Possible $CP$-violation in top-quark couplings is discussed. It is shown that the lepton-energy distributions in $e^+ e^- \to t\bar{t} \to \ell^+\ell^-X / \ell^\pm X$ at next linear colliders (NLC) could give us useful information for this study. The statistical significance of $CP$-violating-parameter determination is estimated.

Indications on the Higgs-Boson Mass from the LEP Data

We update our previous analysis on the Higgs mass $m_h$ and the QCD coupling $α_s(=α_s(M_z))$ by using the LEP data after the 1995 Winter Conferences. For $m_t=180$ GeV we find evidence for a rather large value of the Higgs mass in the range 500-1000 GeV, in agreement with the indications from the W mass.
