Azimuthal polarization of polarized top quark in noncommutative standard model

Top quark decays before hadronization and its information transfer to final products. The top quark decays via the weak interaction, hence the azimuthal polarized decay rate is zero in the leading order of SM. Therefore the study of top quark could be taken into consideration as useful tools to search for new physics. In this paper, we calculate the decay of polarized top quark in the framework of the noncommutative standard model. We investigate the contribution of noncommutative space-time on the azimuthal polarized decay rate and spin analyzing power. Also we depict the energy spectrum for the charged lepton and the variation of the total differential decay rate with respect to the azimuthal angle which receive some correction in noncommutative space-time.

Expansion of magnetic neutron stars in an energy (in)dependent spacetime

Regarding the strong magnetic field of neutron stars and high energy regime scenario which is based on high curvature region near the compact objects, one is motivated to study magnetic neutron stars in an energy dependent spacetime. In this paper, we show that such strong magnetic field and energy dependency of spacetime have considerable effects on the properties of neutron stars. We examine the variations of maximum mass and related radius, Schwarzschild radius, average density, gravitational redshift, Kretschmann scalar and Buchdahl theorem due to magnetic field and also energy dependency of metric. First, it will be shown that the maximum mass and radius of neutron stars are increasing function of magnetic field while average density, redshift, the strength of gravity and Kretschmann scalar are decreasing functions of it. These results are due to a repulsive-like force behavior for the magnetic field. Next, the effects of the gravity's rainbow will be studied and it will be shown that by increasing the rainbow function, the neutron stars could enjoy an expansion in their structures. Then, we obtain a new relation for the upper mass limit of a static spherical neutron star with uniform density in gravity's rainbow (Buchdahl limit) in which such upper limit is modified as $M_{eff}<\frac{4c^{2}R}{9G}$. In addition, stability and energy conditions for the equation of state of neutron star matter are also investigated and a comparison with empirical results is done. It is notable that the numerical study in this paper is conducted by using the lowest order constrained variational (LOCV) approach in the presence of magnetic field employing AV18 potential.

Hot magnetized nuclear matter: Thermodynamic and Saturation Properties

We have used a realistic nuclear potential, AV18, and a many body technique, the lowest order constraint variational (LOCV) approach, to calculate the properties of hot magnetized nuclear matter. By investigating the free energy, spin polarization parameter, and symmetry energy, we have studied the temperature and magnetic field dependence of the saturation properties of magnetized nuclear matter. In addition, we have calculated the equation of state of magnetized nuclear matter at different temperatures and magnetic fields. It was found that the flashing temperature of nuclear matter decreases by increasing the magnetic field. In addition, we have studied the effect of the magnetic field on liquid gas phase transition of nuclear matter. The liquid gas coexistence curves, the order parameter of the liquid gas phase transition, and the properties of critical point at different magnetic fields have been calculated.

Study of Dark-Matter Admixed Neutron Stars using the Equation of State from the Rotational Curves of Galaxies

In this work, we employ the dark matter equations of state (DMEOSs) obtained from the rotational curves of galaxies as well as the fermionic DMEOS with m = 1.0 GeV to study the structure of darkmatter admixed neutron stars (DMANSs). Applying the equation of state in the Skyrme framework for the neutron matter (NM), we calculate the mass-radius relation for different DMANSs with various DMEOSs and central pressure of dark matter (DM) to NM ratios. Our results show that for some DMEOSs, the mass-radius relations are in agreement with new observations, e.g. EXO 1745-248, 4U 1608-52, and 4U 1820-30, which are inconsistent with the normal neutron stars. We conclude that both DMEOSs and central pressure ratios of DM to NM affect the slope of the mass-radius relation of DMANSs. This is because of the interaction between DM and NM, which leads to gravitationally or self-bound DMANSs. We study the radius of the NM sphere as well as the radius of the DM halo for different DMANSs. The results confirm that, in some cases, a NM sphere with a small radius is surrounded by a halo of DM with a larger radius. Our calculations verify that, due to the different degrees of DM domination in DMANSs, with a value of the visible radius of a star two possible DMANSs with different masses can be exist. The gravitational redshift is also calculated for DMANSs with different DMEOSs and central pressure ratios. The results explain that the existence of DM in a DMANS leads to higher values of gravitational redshift of the star.

Thermal Fluctuation and Meson Melting: Holographic Approach

We use gauge/gravity duality to investigate the effect of thermal fluctuations on the dissociation of the quarkonium meson in strongly coupled $(3+1)$-dimensional gauge theories. This is done by studying the instability and probable first order phase transition of a probe D7-brane in the dual gravity theory. We explicitly show that for the Minkowski embeddings with their tips close to the horizon in the background, the long wavelength thermal fluctuations lead to an imaginary term in their action signaling an instability in the system. Due to this instability, a phase transition is expected. On the gauge theory side, it indicates that the quarkonium mesons are not stable and dissociate in the plasma. Identifying the imaginary part of the probe barne action with the thermal width of the mesons, we observe that the thermal width increases as one decreases the mass of the quarks. Also keeping the mass fixed, thermal width increases by temperature as expected.

Saturation properties of nuclear matter in the presence of strong magnetic field

Different saturation properties of cold symmetric nuclear matter in the strong magnetic field have been considered. We have seen that for magnetic fields about $B> 3 \times 10 ^ {17}\ G$, {for both cases with and without nucleon anomalous magnetic moments}, the saturation density and saturation energy grow by increasing the magnetic field. It is indicated that the magnetic susceptibility of symmetric nuclear matter becomes negative showing the diamagnetic response especially at $B< 3 \times 10 ^ {17}\ G$. We have found that for the nuclear matter, the magnitude of orbital magnetization reaches the higher values comparing to the spin magnetization. Our results for the incompressibility show that at high enough magnetic fields, i.e. $B> 3 \times 10 ^ {17}\ G$, {the softening of equation of state caused by Landau quantization is overwhelmed by stiffening due to the magnetization of nuclear matter.} We have shown that the effects of strong magnetic field on nuclear matter may affect the constraints on the equation of state of symmetric nuclear matter obtained applying the experimental observable.

Calculation of nuclear matter in the presence of strong magnetic field using LOCV technique

In the present work, we are interested in the properties of nuclear matter at zero temperature in the presence of strong magnetic fields using the lowest order constraint variational (LOCV) method employing $AV_{18}$ nuclear potential. Our results indicate that in the absence of a magnetic field, the energy per particle is a symmetric function of the spin polarization parameter. This shows that for the nuclear matter, the spontaneous phase transition to a ferromagnetic state does not occur. However, we have found that for the magnetic fields $ B\gtrsim 10 ^ {18}\ G$, the symmetry of energy is broken and the energy has a minimum at a positive value of the spin polarization parameter. We have also found that the effect of magnetic field on the value of energy is more significant at the low densities. Our calculations show that at lower densities, the spin polarization parameter is more sensitive to the magnetic field.

Influence of spin polarizability on liquid gas phase transition in the nuclear matter

In this paper, we investigate the liquid gas phase transition for the spin polarized nuclear matter. Applying the lowest order constrained variational (LOCV) method, and using two microscopic potentials, $AV_{18}$ and $UV_{14}$+TNI, we calculate the free energy, equation of state, order parameter, entropy, heat capacity and compressibility to derive the critical properties of spin polarized nuclear matter. Our results indicate that for the spin polarized nuclear matter, the second order phase transition takes place at lower temperatures with respect to the unpolarized one. It is also shown that the critical temperature of our spin polarized nuclear matter with a specific value of spin polarization parameter is in good agreement with the experimental result.

The Imaginary Potential of Heavy Quarkonia Moving in Strongly Coupled Plasma

The melting of a heavy quark-antiquark bound state depends on the screening phenomena associated with the binding energy, as well as scattering phenomena associated with the imaginary part of the potential. We study the imaginary part of the static potential of heavy quarkonia moving in the strongly coupled plasma. The imaginary potential dependence on the velocity of the traveling bound states is calculated. Non-zero velocity leads to increase of the absolute value of the imaginary potential. The enhancement is stronger when the quarkonia move orthogonal to the quark-gluon plasma maximizing the flux between the pair. Moreover, we estimate the thermal width of the moving bound state and find it enhanced compared to the static one. Our results imply that the moving quarkonia dissociate easier than the static ones in agreement with the expectations.

Charged lepton electric dipole moment enhancement in the Lorentz violated extension of the standard model

We consider the Lorentz violated extension of the standard model. In this framework, there are terms that explicitly violate CP-symmetry. We examine the CPT-even $d_{μν}$-term to find the electric dipole moment of charged leptons. We show that the form factors besides the momentum transfer, depend on a new Lorentz-scalar, constructing by $d_{μν}$ and the four momenta of the lepton, as well. Such an energy dependence of the electric dipole form factor leads to an enhancement of the lepton electric dipole moment at high energy, even at the zero momentum transfer. We show that at $\frac{|d|p^2}{m^2_l}\sim 1$ the electric dipole moment of the charged lepton can be as large as $10^{-14} e\,\,cm$.

Probe Branes Thermalization in External Electric and Magnetic Fields

We study thermalization on rotating probe branes in AdS_5 x S^5 background in the presence of constant external electric and magnetic fields. In the AdS/CFT framework this corresponds to thermalization in the flavour sector in field theory. The horizon appears on the worldvolume of the probe brane due to its rotation in one of the sphere directions. For both electric and magnetic fields the behaviour of the temperature is independent of the probe brane dimension. We also study the open string metric and the fluctuations of the probe brane in such a set-up. We show that the temperatures obtained from open string metric and observed by the fluctuations are larger than the one calculated from the induced metric.

Magnetized hot neutron matter: lowest order constrained variational calculations

We have studied the spin polarized hot neutron matter in the presence of strong magnetic field. In this work, using the lowest order constrained variational method at finite temperature and employing $AV_{18}$ nuclear potential, some thermodynamic properties of spin polarized neutron matter such as spin polarization parameter, free energy, equation of state and effective mass have been calculated. It has been shown that the strong magnetic field breaks the symmetry of the free energy, leading to a magnetized equilibrium state. We have found that the equation of state becomes stiffer by increasing both magnetic field and temperature. The magnetic field dependence of effective mass for the spin-up and spin-down neutrons has been investigated.

Investigation of the field-induced ferromagnetic phase transition in spin polarized neutron matter: a lowest order constrained variational approach

In this paper, the lowest order constrained variational (LOCV) method has been used to investigate the magnetic properties of spin polarized neutron matter in the presence of strong magnetic field at zero temperature employing $AV_{18}$ potential. Our results indicate that a ferromagnetic phase transition is induced by a strong magnetic field with strength greater than $10^{18}\ G$, leading to a partial spin polarization of the neutron matter. It is also shown that the equation of state of neutron matter in the presence of magnetic field is stiffer than the case in absence of magnetic field.

Generation of circular polarization of the CMB

According to the standard cosmology, near the last scattering surface, the photons scattered via Compton scattering are just linearly polarized and then the primordial circular polarization of the CMB photons is zero. In this work we show that CMB polarization acquires a small degree of circular polarization when a background magnetic field is considered or the quantum electrodynamic sector of standard model is extended by Lorentz-noninvariant operators as well as noncommutativity. The existence of circular polarization for the CMB radiation may be verified during future observation programs and it represents a possible new channel for investigating new physics effects.

Temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility of nuclear matter: lowest order constrained variational calculations

In this paper we study the magnetic susceptibility and other thermodynamic properties of the polarized nuclear matter at finite temperature using the lowest order constrained variational (LOCV) method employing the $AV_{18}$ potential. Our results show a monotonic behavior for the magnetic susceptibility which indicates that the spontaneous transition to the ferromagnetic phase does not occur for this system.
