Facet-0: A Robotic Foundation Model for Contact-Rich Precise Manipulation

Real-world robotic assembly at sub-millimeter tolerances demands spatial precision, compliant interaction, and robustness to contact failures. We present Facet-0, a robotic foundation model that predicts and values the contact consequences of its actions. Facet-0 unifies multimodal representation learning and reinforcement learning (RL) post-training around a joint action-wrench proposal: a causal wrench history is aligned with vision-language semantics and kinematic state, and flow matching generates each action chunk together with the future wrist-wrench profile it is expected to induce. Deployment rollouts train a distributional Action-Wrench Critic to distinguish motions with similar task progress but different contact outcomes, while phase-aware rewards and contact-selective credit concentrate policy improvement on decisive interactions. To accommodate part-specific dynamics, a lightweight bounded actor reuses the frozen representation for on-robot adaptation; RL remains defined over executable Cartesian actions, while an auxiliary wrench head preserves predictive, non-commanded action-contact coupling. Trained on ManuFacet-1K, a 1,000-hour force-synchronized corpus spanning three embodiments and multiple manufacturing cells, the bounded task-adapted system reaches 82% mean success on five sub-millimeter computer-assembly tasks, compared with 15% for the strongest baseline, with 0.5 mm placement accuracy and 50 ms command latency.

CertVLA: Certified Defense against Physical Visual Attacks for Vision-Language-Action Models

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) policies are vulnerable to localized physical perturbations, yet existing certified patch defenses target discrete labels and cannot directly certify continuous, temporally correlated actions. We introduce CertVLA, a certified defense for closed-loop VLA control under bounded patch and texture attacks. CertVLA proposes a calibrated region of behaviorally consistent actions, while deterministic covering masks ensure that at least one checked prediction is attack-free. Specifically, CertVLA normalizes action disagreement by the benign variation of each mask pair and accepts a single-mask anchor only when it remains consistent under every second mask. It then calibrates the resulting max-min-max episode score to provide finite-sample clean coverage. Conjoining query-level decisions extends the action certificate to the complete closed-loop rollout. Furthermore, we prove that against any adaptive attacker satisfying the bounded-support threat model, every rollout certified by CertVLA executes only action chunks consistent with attack-erased clean predictions. Under dual-mask rollout correctness, this consistency certificate further guarantees task success. The certificate is independent of patch content, generation method, and physical transformation. Experiments in simulation and the real world demonstrate the empirical and certified effectiveness of CertVLA against patch attacks, with additional simulation validation on texture attacks.

ManiGaussian++: General Robotic Bimanual Manipulation with Hierarchical Gaussian World Model

Multi-task robotic bimanual manipulation is becoming increasingly popular as it enables sophisticated tasks that require diverse dual-arm collaboration patterns. Compared to unimanual manipulation, bimanual tasks pose challenges to understanding the multi-body spatiotemporal dynamics. An existing method ManiGaussian pioneers encoding the spatiotemporal dynamics into the visual representation via Gaussian world model for single-arm settings, which ignores the interaction of multiple embodiments for dual-arm systems with significant performance drop. In this paper, we propose ManiGaussian++, an extension of ManiGaussian framework that improves multi-task bimanual manipulation by digesting multi-body scene dynamics through a hierarchical Gaussian world model. To be specific, we first generate task-oriented Gaussian Splatting from intermediate visual features, which aims to differentiate acting and stabilizing arms for multi-body spatiotemporal dynamics modeling. We then build a hierarchical Gaussian world model with the leader-follower architecture, where the multi-body spatiotemporal dynamics is mined for intermediate visual representation via future scene prediction. The leader predicts Gaussian Splatting deformation caused by motions of the stabilizing arm, through which the follower generates the physical consequences resulted from the movement of the acting arm. As a result, our method significantly outperforms the current state-of-the-art bimanual manipulation techniques by an improvement of 20.2% in 10 simulated tasks, and achieves 60% success rate on average in 9 challenging real-world tasks. A Secure and Efficient Multi-Object Grasping Detection Approach for Robotic Arms

Robotic arms are widely used in automatic industries. However, with wide applications of deep learning in robotic arms, there are new challenges such as the allocation of grasping computing power and the growing demand for security. In this work, we propose a robotic arm grasping approach based on deep learning and edge-cloud collaboration. This approach realizes the arbitrary grasp planning of the robot arm and considers the grasp efficiency and information security. In addition, the encoder and decoder trained by GAN enable the images to be encrypted while compressing, which ensures the security of privacy. The model achieves 92% accuracy on the OCID dataset, the image compression ratio reaches 0.03%, and the structural difference value is higher than 0.91.
