Identity-Faithful Audio-Visual Target Speaker Extraction with REAL-2MIX and VOXBLINK2-AVSE

Audio-visual target speaker extraction should return the speaker indicated by the video, yet a separator can ignore the visual cue and repeatedly output the acoustically dominant voice. We introduce REAL-2MIX, a Mandarin AV-TSE benchmark of jointly recorded real two-speaker mixtures with synchronized multi-view video. Each scene also contains preceding A-only and B-only stages that provide in-scene speaker references. It contains 77 scenes and 7,598 clips (11.84 hours), including 6,042 dual-annotated mixtures. After processing there leave 6,038 evaluable mixtures and 12,076 target-speaker rows. We additionally curate VOXBLINK2-AVSE from VoxBlink2, comprising 250,828 synchronized audio--lip-ROI pairs from 28,421 identities and 766.17 hours of speech. Our extractor uses frozen, 1,280-dimensional projected AV-HuBERT features, target-conditioned training, and layer-wise feature modulation. We jointly evaluate content with Qwen3-ASR-1.7B CER and target identity with WeSpeaker ResNet34 plus Overlapped Speech Detection (OSD). On the complete manifest, the best archived checkpoint obtains 0.2261 CER, 82.22% strict output correctness, and 69.53% both-output strict success.

ARIADNE: A Perception-Reasoning Synergy Framework for Trustworthy Coronary Angiography Analysis

Conventional pixel-wise loss functions fail to enforce topological constraints in coronary vessel segmentation, producing fragmented vascular trees despite high pixel-level accuracy. We present ARIADNE, a two-stage framework coupling preference-aligned perception with RL-based diagnostic reasoning for topologically coherent stenosis detection. The perception module employs DPO to fine-tune the Sa2VA vision-language foundation model using Betti number constraints as preference signals, aligning the policy toward geometrically complete vessel structures rather than pixel-wise overlap metrics. The reasoning module formulates stenosis localization as a Markov Decision Process with an explicit rejection mechanism that autonomously defers ambiguous anatomical candidates such as bifurcations and vessel crossings, shifting from coverage maximization to reliability optimization. On 1,400 clinical angiograms, ARIADNE achieves state-of-the-art centerline Dice of 0.838, reduces false positives by 41% compared to geometric baselines. External validation on multi-center benchmarks ARCADE and XCAD confirms generalization across acquisition protocols. This represents the first application of DPO for topological alignment in medical imaging, demonstrating that preference-based learning over structural constraints mitigates topological violations while maintaining diagnostic sensitivity in interventional cardiology workflows.

Multi-View Based Audio Visual Target Speaker Extraction

Audio-Visual Target Speaker Extraction (AVTSE) aims to separate a target speaker's voice from a mixed audio signal using the corresponding visual cues. While most existing AVTSE methods rely exclusively on frontal-view videos, this limitation restricts their robustness in real-world scenarios where non-frontal views are prevalent. Such visual perspectives often contain complementary articulatory information that could enhance speech extraction. In this work, we propose Multi-View Tensor Fusion (MVTF), a novel framework that transforms multi-view learning into single-view performance gains. During the training stage, we leverage synchronized multi-perspective lip videos to learn cross-view correlations through MVTF, where pairwise outer products explicitly model multiplicative interactions between different views of input lip embeddings. At the inference stage, the system supports both single-view and multi-view inputs. Experimental results show that in the single-view inputs, our framework leverages multi-view knowledge to achieve significant performance gains, while in the multi-view mode, it further improves overall performance and enhances the robustness. Audio-Visual Speech Enhancement In Complex Scenarios With Separation And Dereverberation Joint Modeling

Audio-visual speech enhancement (AVSE) is a task that uses visual auxiliary information to extract a target speaker's speech from mixed audio. In real-world scenarios, there often exist complex acoustic environments, accompanied by various interfering sounds and reverberation. Most previous methods struggle to cope with such complex conditions, resulting in poor perceptual quality of the extracted speech. In this paper, we propose an effective AVSE system that performs well in complex acoustic environments. Specifically, we design a "separation before dereverberation" pipeline that can be extended to other AVSE networks. The 4th COGMHEAR Audio-Visual Speech Enhancement Challenge (AVSEC) aims to explore new approaches to speech processing in multimodal complex environments. We validated the performance of our system in AVSEC-4: we achieved excellent results in the three objective metrics on the competition leaderboard, and ultimately secured first place in the human subjective listening test.

AgentFlux: Decoupled Fine-Tuning & Inference for On-Device Agentic Systems

The deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) as agentic orchestrators has revolutionized task automation, but the need for privacy-preserving, cost-effective solutions demands on-device inference capabilities. However, local LLMs consistently underperform compared to frontier models in tool calling scenarios, struggling with both tool selection from large tool sets and accurate argument generation for complex parameter structures. We introduce a methodology that disaggregates a tool-calling task into two distinct subtasks: tool selection and argument generation. We propose "decoupled fine-tuning", a novel post-training approach that employs LoRA fine-tuning to create dedicated LoRA adapters for tool selection and tool-specific argument generation using separate loss masking for each of the subtasks. Furthermore, we present AgentFlux, an inference framework that leverages the LoRA adapters created using decoupled fine-tuning to perform efficient agent orchestration with the help of local models on end-user devices. AgentFlux decomposes the tool-call generation step into tool selection and argument generation, and dynamically loads the corresponding LoRA adapters to generate tool calls. Additionally, AgentFlux implements hierarchical orchestration to restrict the number of tools required for tool selection. Our experiments on the MCP-Bench benchmark demonstrate that the Qwen-2.5-7B model trained using decoupled fine-tuning improves the tool calling accuracy of the base model by 46%, and outperforms other local reasoning, non-reasoning and fine-tuned models of similar size in all cases, and models that are 2x larger, in most cases.

Robust Audio-Visual Target Speaker Extraction with Emotion-Aware Multiple Enrollment Fusion

Audio-Visual Target Speaker Extraction (AVTSE) is crucial for cocktail party scenarios. Leveraging multiple cues --such as utterance-level speaker embeddings or steady face images, and frame-level lip motion or facial expression features --can significantly improve performance. However, real-world applications often suffer from intermittent signal loss, especially for frame-level cues. This paper systematically investigates the robustness of multi-enrollment fusion under varying degrees of modality missing. Results show that while full multimodal fusion excels under ideal conditions, its performance degrades sharply when encountering unseen modalities missing during the testing. Crucially, training with a high missing rate dramatically enhances robustness, maintaining stable performance even under severe test-time modality missing. We demonstrate that fusing the complementary one frame of face image with frame-level lip features achieves both strong performance and robustness for the AVTSE task. The model and codes are shared.

Coupling Effects in Multi-Stage Laser Wake-field Acceleration of Electrons

Staging laser wake-field acceleration is considered as a necessary technique for developing full-optical jitter-free electron accelerators. Splitting of the acceleration length into several technical parts with their lengths smaller than the dephasing length and with independent laser drivers allows generation of stable, reproducible acceleration fields. Temporal and spatial coupling of pre-accelerated electron bunches for their injection in the acceleration phase of a successive laser pulse wake field is the key part of the staging laser-driven acceleration. Here, characterization of the coupling is performed with dense, stable, a narrow energy band <3% and energy selectable electron beams with charges ~1.6 pC and energy ~10 MeV generated from a laser plasma cathode. Cumulative focusing of electron bunches in a low density pre-plasma, exhibiting the Budker- Bennett effect, is shown to result in the efficient injection of electrons even with a long distance between the injector and the booster in the laser pulse wake. Measured characteristics of electron beams modified by the booster wake field agree well with those obtained by multidimensional particle-in-cell simulations.
