Black hole solution of Einstein-Born-Infeld-Yang-Mills theory

A new four-dimensional black hole solution of Einstein-Born-Infeld-Yang-Mills theory is constructed, several degenerated forms of the black hole solution are presented. The related thermodynamical quantities are calculated, with which the first law of thermodynamics is checked to be satisfied. Identifying the cosmological constant as pressure of the system, the phase transition behaviors of the black hole in the extended phase space are studied.

Near horizon symmetry and entropy of black holes in the presence of a conformally coupled scalar

We analyze the near horizon conformal symmetry for black hole solutions in gravity with a conformally coupled scalar field using the method proposed by Majhi and Padmanabhan recently. It is shown that the entropy of the black holes of the form $\mathrm{d}s^2 = - f(r)\mathrm{d}t^2 + \mathrm{d}r^2/f(r)+...$ agrees with Wald entropy. This result is different from previous result obtained by M. Natsuume, T. Okamura and M. Sato using the canonical Hamiltonian formalism, which claims a discrepancy from Wald entropy.

Two Magnetic Impurities with Arbitrary Spins in Open Boundary t-J Model

From the open boundary t-J model, an impurity model is constructed in which magnetic impurities of arbitrary spins are coupled to the edges of the strongly correlated electron system. The boundary R matrices are given explicitly. The interaction parameters between magnetic impurities and electrons are related to the potentials of the impurities to preserve the integrability of the system. The Hamiltonian of the impurity model is diagonalized exactly. The integral equations of the ground state are derived and the ground state properties are discussed in details. We discuss also the string solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations, which describe the bound states of the charges and spins. By minimizing the thermodynamic potential we get the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations. The finite size correction of the free energy contributed by the magnetic impurities is obtained explicitly. The properties of the system at some special limits are discussed and the boundary bound states are obtained.

New Boundary Bound States in an Open Quantum Spin Chain

New boundary bound states (BBS) are found of an integrable model with the magnetic impurities located at the edges of an open Heisenberg spin chain. These bound states carry the real energy and are formed by three or five imaginary modes of the rapidities. These imaginary modes of the rapidities give the non-zero antisymmetric wave functions and the moments of the centers of the bound states are zero. It means that these bound states are arisen by the magnetic impurities and localized at the edges of the correlated system. The Kondo screening occurs for the antiferromagnetic spin chain with the ferromagnetic impurities-electrons exchange interaction.

New Approach on the General Shape Equation of Axisymmetric Vesicles

The general Helfrich shape equation determined by minimizing the curvature free energy describes the equilibrium shapes of the axisymmetric lipid bilayer vesicles in different conditions. It is a non-linear differential equation with variable coefficients. In this letter, by analyzing the unique property of the solution, we change this shape equation into a system of the two differential equations. One of them is a linear differential equation. This equation system contains all of the known rigorous solutions of the general shape equation. And the more general constraint conditions are found for the solution of the general shape equation.

Integrable impurities in Hubbard chain with the open boundary condition

The Kondo problem of two impurities in 1D strongly correlated electron system within the framework of the open boundary Hubbard chain is solved and the impurities, coupled to the ends of the electron system, are introduced by their scattering matrices with electrons so that the boundary matrices satisfy the reflecting integrability condition. The finite size correction of the ground state energy is obtained due to the impurities. Exact expressions for the low temperature specific heat contributed by the charge and spin parts of the magnetic impurities are derived. The Pauli susceptibility and the Kondo temperature are given explicitly. The Kondo temperature is inversely proportional to the density of electrons.

Heisenberg XYZ Hamiltonian with Integrable Impurities

In this letter, we construct a Hamiltonian of the impurity model within the framework of the open boundary Heisenberg XYZ spin chain. This impurity model is an exactly solved one and it degenerates to the integrable XXZ impurity model under the triangular limit. This approach is the first time to add the integrable impurities to the completely anisotropic Heisenberg spin model with the open boundary conditions.

Two Magnetic Impurities in a Spin Chain

In this letter, the Kondo magnetic effect is studied for the $XXZ$ spin chain where the impurities are coupled to the edges of the system. The Hamiltonian of our model can be constructed from the transfer matrix. It is exactly solvable and the exchange constants between the bulk and the boundary impurities are arbitrary. The finite size corrections to the ground state energy are obtained for the magnetic impurities and the boundary condition. The specific heat and the susceptibility contributed by the impurities are derived and the Kondo temperature is given explicitly by the use of the Luttinger-Fermi liquid picture and the Bethe ansatz method.

Integrabilities of the $t-J$ Model with Impurities

The hamiltonian with magnetic impurities coupled to the strongly correlated electron system is constructed from $t-J$ model. And it is diagonalized exactly by using the Bethe ansatz method. Our boundary matrices depend on the spins of the electrons. The Kondo problem in this system is discussed in details. The integral equations are derived with complex rapidities which describe the bound states in the system. The finite-size corrections for the ground-state energies are obtained.

Three-Dimensional Vertex Model Related BCC Model in Statistical Mechanics

In this paper, a three-dimensional vertex model is obtained. It is a duality of the three-dimensional integrable lattice model with $N$ states proposed by Boos, Mangazeev, Sergeev and Stroganov. The Boltzmann weight of the model is dependent on four spin variables, which are the linear combinations of the spins on the corner sites of the cube, and obeys the modified vertex type tetrahedron equation. This vertex model can be regard as a deformation of the one related the three-dimensional Baxter-Bazhanov model. The constrained conditions of the spectrums are discussed in detail and the symmetry properties of weight functions of the vertex model are presented.

Baxter-Bazhanov Model, Frenkel-Moore Equation and the Braid Group

In this paper the three-dimensional vertex model is given, which is the duality of the three-dimensional Baxter-Bazhanov (BB) model. The braid group corresponding to Frenkel-Moore equation is constructed and the transformations $R, I$ are found. These maps act on the group and denote the rotations of the braids through the angles $π$ about some special axes. The weight function of another three-dimensional vertex model related the 3D lattice integrable model proposed by Boos, Mangazeev, Sergeev and Stroganov is presented also, which can be interpreted as the deformation of the vertex model corresponding to the BB model.

Three-Dimensional Vertex Model in Statistical Mechanics, from Baxter-Bazhanov Model

We find that the Boltzmann weight of the three-dimensional Baxter-Bazhanov model is dependent on four spin variables which are the linear combinations of the spins on the corner sites of the cube and the Wu-Kadanoff duality between the cube and vertex type tetrahedron equations is obtained explicitly for the Baxter-Bazhanov model. Then a three-dimensional vertex model is obtained by considering the symmetry property of the weight function, which is corresponding to the three-dimensional Baxter-Bazhanov model. The vertex type weight function is parametrized as the dihedral angles between the rapidity planes connected with the cube. And we write down the symmetry relations of the weight functions under the actions of the symmetry group $G$ of the cube. The six angles with a constrained condition, appeared in the tetrahedron equation, can be regarded as the six spectrums connected with the six spaces in which the vertex type tetrahedron equation is defined.

On the Three-dimensional Lattice Model

Using the restricted star-triangle relation, it is shown that the $N$-state spin integrable model on a three-dimensional lattice with spins interacting round each elementary cube of the lattice proposed by Mangazeev, Sergeev and Stroganov is a particular case of the Bazhanov-Baxter model.

Cyclic Quantum Dilogarithm and Shift Operator

{}From the cyclic quantum dilogarithm the shift operator is constructed with $q$ is a root of unit and the representation is given for the current algebra introduced by Faddeev $et ~al$. It is shown that the theta-function is factorizable also in this case by using the star-square equation of the Baxter-Bazhanov model.

Weyl Pair, Current Algebra and Shift Operator

The Abelian current algebra on the lattice is given from a series of the independent Weyl pairs and the shift operator is constructed by this algebra. So the realization of the operators of the braid group is obtained. For $|q|\neq 1$ the shift operator is the product of the theta functions of the generators $w_n$ of the current algebra. For $|q|=1$ it can be expressed by the quantum dilogarithm of $w_n$.

Remarks on the Star-Triangle Relation in the Baxter-Bazhanov Model

In this letter we show that the restricted star-triangle relation introduced by Bazhanov and Baxter can be obtained either from the star-triangle relation of chiral Potts model or from the star-square relation which is proposed by Kashaev $et ~al$ and give a response of the guess which is suggested by Bazhanov and Baxter in Ref. \cite{b2}.
