Near-Field Integrated Sensing, Computing and Semantic Communication in Digital Twin-Assisted Vehicular Networks

Digital twin (DT) technology offers transformative potential for vehicular networks, enabling high-fidelity virtual representations for enhanced safety and automation. However, seamless DT synchronization in dynamic environments faces challenges such as massive data transmission, precision sensing, and strict computational constraints. This paper proposes an integrated sensing, computing, and semantic communication (ISCSC) framework tailored for DT-assisted vehicular networks in the near-field (NF) regime. Leveraging a multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) configuration, each roadside unit (RSU) employs semantic communication to serve vehicles while simultaneously utilizing millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar for environmental mapping. We implement particle filtering at RSUs to achieve high-precision vehicle tracking. To optimize performance, we formulate a joint optimization problem balancing semantic communication rates and sensing accuracy under limited computational resources and power budget. Our solution includes a hybrid heuristic algorithm for vehicle-to-RSU assignment and an alternating optimization approach for determining semantic extraction ratios and beamforming matrices. Performance is extensively evaluated via the Cramér-Rao bound (CRB) for angle and distance estimation, semantic transmission rates, and resource utilization. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed ISCSC framework achieves a 20% improvement in transmission rate while maintaining the sensing accuracy of existing integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) schemes under constrained resource conditions.

Agentic AI-Empowered Wireless Agent Networks With Semantic-Aware Collaboration via ILAC

The rapid development of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) is driving future wireless networks to evolve from passive data pipes into intelligent collaborative ecosystems under the emerging paradigm of integrated learning and communication (ILAC). However, realizing efficient agentic collaboration faces challenges not only in handling semantic redundancy but also in the lack of an integrated mechanism for communication, computation, and control. To address this, we propose a wireless agent network (WAN) framework that orchestrates a progressive knowledge aggregation mechanism. Specifically, we formulate the aggregation process as a joint energy minimization problem where the agents perform semantic compression to eliminate redundancy, optimize transmission power to deliver semantic payloads, and adjust physical trajectories to proactively enhance channel qualities. To solve this problem, we develop a hierarchical algorithm that integrates inner-level resource optimization with outer-level topology evolution. Theoretically, we reveal that incorporating a potential field into the topology evolution effectively overcomes the short-sightedness of greedy matching, providing a mathematically rigorous heuristic for long-term energy minimization. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves superior energy efficiency and scalability compared to conventional benchmarks, validating the efficacy of semantic-aware collaboration in dynamic environments.

Asymmetric Actor-Critic for Multi-turn LLM Agents

Large language models (LLMs) exhibit strong reasoning and conversational abilities, but ensuring reliable behavior in multi-turn interactions remains challenging. In many real-world applications, agents must succeed in one-shot settings where retries are impossible. Existing approaches either rely on reflection or post-hoc evaluation, which require additional attempts, or assume fully trainable models that cannot leverage proprietary LLMs. We propose an asymmetric actor-critic framework for reliable conversational agents. A powerful proprietary LLM acts as the actor, while a smaller open-source critic provides runtime supervision, monitoring the actor's actions and intervening within the same interaction trajectory. Unlike training-based actor-critic methods, our framework supervises a fixed actor operating in open-ended conversational environments. The design leverages a generation-verification asymmetry: while high-quality generation requires large models, effective oversight can often be achieved by smaller ones. We further introduce a data generation pipeline that produces supervision signals for critic fine-tuning without modifying the actor. Experiments on $τ$-bench and UserBench show that our approach significantly improves reliability and task success over strong single-agent baselines. Moreover, lightweight open-source critics rival or surpass larger proprietary models in the critic role, and critic fine-tuning yields additional gains over several state-of-the-art methods.

On Performance of Fluid Antenna Relay (FAR)-Assisted AAV-NOMA Wireless Network

In this paper, we investigate the performance of a fluid antenna relay (FAR)-assisted downlink communication system utilizing non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). The FAR, which integrates a fluid antenna system (FAS), is equipped on an autonomous aerial vehicle (AAV), and introduces extra degrees of freedom to improve the performance of the system. The transmission is divided into a first phase from the base station (BS) to the users and the FAR, and a second phase where the FAR forwards the signal using amplify-and-forward (AF) or decode-and-forward (DF) relaying to reduce the outage probability (OP) for the user maintaining weaker channel conditions. To analyze the OP performance of the weak user, Copula theory and the Gaussian copula function are employed to model the statistical distribution of the FAS channels. Analytical expressions for weak user's OP are derived for both the AF and the DF schemes. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, showing that it consistently outperforms benchmark schemes without the FAR. In addition, numerical simulations also demonstrate the values of the relaying scheme selection parameter under different FAR positions and communication outage thresholds.

Cache-enabled Generative Joint Source-Channel Coding for Evolving Semantic Communications

Learning-based semantic communication (SemCom) has recently emerged as a promising paradigm for improving the transmission efficiency of wireless networks. However, existing methods typically rely on extensive end-to-end training, which is both inflexible and computationally expensive in dynamic wireless environments. Moreover, they fail to exploit redundancy across multiple transmissions of semantically similar content, limiting overall efficiency. To overcome these limitations, we propose a channel-aware generative adversarial network (GAN) inversion-based joint source-channel coding (CAGI-JSCC) framework that enables training-free SemCom by leveraging a pre-trained SemanticStyleGAN model. By explicitly incorporating wireless channel characteristics into the GAN inversion process, CAGI-JSCC adapts to varying channel conditions without additional training. Furthermore, we introduce a cache-enabled dynamic codebook (CDC) that caches disentangled semantic components at both the transmitter and receiver, allowing the system to reuse previously transmitted content. This semantic-level caching can continuously reduce redundant transmissions as experience accumulates. Extensive experiments on image transmission demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework. In particular, our system achieves comparable perceptual quality with an average bandwidth compression ratio (BCR) of 1/224, and as low as 1/1024 for a single image, significantly outperforming baselines with a BCR of 1/128.

Annihilation of Dirac points and its topological obstruction in a photonic Kagome lattice

Dirac points (DPs) are topological singularities that determine the extraordinary properties of two-dimensional materials. They are generally classified by discrete topological invariants, which determine the possibility of DPs' annihilation upon their collision. Here, we study the behaviors of DPs within a photonic Kagome lattice created in atomic vapor. With optically engineering the potential difference among three sites constituting the Kagome unit cell while preserving time-reversal symmetry and the stability of an isolated DP, the DPs move in reciprocal space. By employing conical diffraction to measure their position and the topological invariant (Euler number), we demonstrate an obstruction to DPs' annihilation during collision and a transition to a case where the Euler number changes and annihilation occurs. Such topological transition is induced by a non-Abelian frame rotation of the eigenstates around the Brillouin zone torus. The associated conversion of the DP quaternionic charges during their motion explains the change of Euler number.

Entropy-and-Channel-Aware Adaptive-Rate Semantic Communication with MLLM-Aided Feature Compensation

Despite the transmission efficiency gains of semantic communication (SemCom) over traditional methods, most existing SemCom schemes still operate at a fixed transmission rate regardless of channel conditions and transmitted content, resulting in wasted resources in favorable channels and degraded performance in harsh channels. To address this issue, we propose a novel SemCom framework that incorporates an entropy-and-channel-aware adaptive rate control mechanism over MIMO Rayleigh fading channels. Specifically, we embed a joint representation of the channel state information (CSI) and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) into both the semantic encoder and decoder, thereby realizing channel-aware semantic coding and decoding. Moreover, the proposed method jointly exploits the CSI, the SNR, the feature maps, and their 2D entropy via two policy networks to selectively transmit only a subset of feature maps and, within each selected feature map, only a subset of symbols. Thereby, it achieves finer-grained adaptive rate control than existing methods. At the receiver, leveraging the strong visual understanding capability of multimodal large language models (MLLMs), we deploy the lightweight visual encoder (InternViT-300M) of the pre-trained InternVL3.5 model to compensate for discarded feature maps and symbols, and we fine-tune InternViT using low-rank adaptation (LoRA) for parameter-efficient training. Experimental results show that, with a carefully designed channel-aware loss function, our system automatically allocates more communication resources under poor channels to enhance task performance while reducing resource usage under favorable channels and maintaining high task performance.

CubeComposer: Spatio-Temporal Autoregressive 4K 360° Video Generation from Perspective Video

Generating high-quality 360° panoramic videos from perspective input is one of the crucial applications for virtual reality (VR), whereby high-resolution videos are especially important for immersive experience. Existing methods are constrained by computational limitations of vanilla diffusion models, only supporting $\leq$ 1K resolution native generation and relying on suboptimal post super-resolution to increase resolution. We introduce CubeComposer, a novel spatio-temporal autoregressive diffusion model that natively generates 4K-resolution 360° videos. By decomposing videos into cubemap representations with six faces, CubeComposer autoregressively synthesizes content in a well-planned spatio-temporal order, reducing memory demands while enabling high-resolution output. Specifically, to address challenges in multi-dimensional autoregression, we propose: (1) a spatio-temporal autoregressive strategy that orchestrates 360° video generation across cube faces and time windows for coherent synthesis; (2) a cube face context management mechanism, equipped with a sparse context attention design to improve efficiency; and (3) continuity-aware techniques, including cube-aware positional encoding, padding, and blending to eliminate boundary seams. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate that CubeComposer outperforms state-of-the-art methods in native resolution and visual quality, supporting practical VR application scenarios. iScript: A Domain-Adapted Large Language Model and Benchmark for Physical Design Tcl Script Generation

Modern EDA flows rely heavily on Tcl scripting, yet general LLMs perform poorly in this domain due to extreme data scarcity, domain-specific semantics, and the high reliability required in physical design. We present iScript, a domain-adapted Qwen3-8B model for Innovus Tcl script generation, and iScript-Bench, a comprehensive benchmark covering five task categories and three difficulty levels. To overcome the lack of training data, we introduce a multi-stage data synthesis pipeline that integrates command extraction, static linting, requirement back-inference, and Chain-of-Thought generation, producing a 10K-tuple (requirement, CoT, script) dataset. iScript is trained through a two-stage strategy combining domain-adaptive pretraining and supervised fine-tuning. To evaluate script correctness efficiently, we further propose a two-step verification framework consisting of static syntax verification and LLM-based functional evaluation. On our benchmark, iScript shows higher pass@k scores than currently state-of-the-art LLMs on average. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of domain adaptation and data synthesis for EDA scripting tasks.

Multi-View Wireless Sensing via Conditional Generative Learning: Framework and Model Design

In this paper, we incorporate physical knowledge into learning-based high-precision target sensing using the multi-view channel state information (CSI) between multiple base stations (BSs) and user equipment (UEs). Such kind of multi-view sensing problem can be naturally cast into a conditional generation framework. To this end, we design a bipartite neural network architecture, the first part of which uses an elaborately designed encoder to fuse the latent target features embedded in the multi-view CSI, and then the second uses them as conditioning inputs of a powerful generative model to guide the target's reconstruction. Specifically, the encoder is designed to capture the physical correlation between the CSI and the target, and also be adaptive to the numbers and positions of BS-UE pairs. Therein the view-specific nature of CSI is assimilated by introducing a spatial positional embedding scheme, which exploits the structure of electromagnetic(EM)-wave propagation channels. Finally, a conditional diffusion model with a weighted loss is employed to generate the target's point cloud from the fused features. Extensive numerical results demonstrate that the proposed generative multi-view (Gen-MV) sensing framework exhibits excellent flexibility and significant performance improvement on the reconstruction quality of target's shape and EM properties.

Gradient Compression May Hurt Generalization: A Remedy by Synthetic Data Guided Sharpness Aware Minimization

It is commonly believed that gradient compression in federated learning (FL) enjoys significant improvement in communication efficiency with negligible performance degradation. In this paper, we find that gradient compression induces sharper loss landscapes in federated learning, particularly under non-IID data distributions, which suggests hindered generalization capability. The recently emerging Sharpness Aware Minimization (SAM) effectively searches for a flat minima by incorporating a gradient ascent step (i.e., perturbing the model with gradients) before the celebrated stochastic gradient descent. Nonetheless, the direct application of SAM in FL suffers from inaccurate estimation of the global perturbation due to data heterogeneity. Existing approaches propose to utilize the model update from the previous communication round as a rough estimate. However, its effectiveness is hindered when model update compression is incorporated. In this paper, we propose FedSynSAM, which leverages the global model trajectory to construct synthetic data and facilitates an accurate estimation of the global perturbation. The convergence of the proposed algorithm is established, and extensive experiments are conducted to validate its effectiveness.

Physics-Inspired Target Shape Detection and Reconstruction in mmWave Communication Systems

The integration of sensing and communication (ISAC) is an essential function of future wireless systems. Due to its large available bandwidth, millimeter-wave (mmWave) ISAC systems are able to achieve high sensing accuracy. In this paper, we consider the multiple base-station (BS) collaborative sensing problem in a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) mmWave communication system. Our aim is to sense a remote target shape with the collected signals which consist of both the reflection and scattering signals. We first characterize the mmWave's scattering and reflection effects based on the Lambertian scattering model. Then we apply the periodogram technique to obtain rough scattering point detection, and further incorporate the subspace method to achieve more precise scattering and reflection point detection. Based on these, a reconstruction algorithm based on Hough Transform and principal component analysis (PCA) is designed for a single convex polygon target scenario. To improve the accuracy and completeness of the reconstruction results, we propose a method to further fuse the scattering and reflection points. Extensive simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Toward a Sustainable Federated Learning Ecosystem: A Practical Least Core Mechanism for Payoff Allocation

Emerging network paradigms and applications increasingly rely on federated learning (FL) to enable collaborative intelligence while preserving privacy. However, the sustainability of such collaborative environments hinges on a fair and stable payoff allocation mechanism. Focusing on coalition stability, this paper introduces a payoff allocation framework based on the least core (LC) concept. Unlike traditional methods, the LC prioritizes the cohesion of the federation by minimizing the maximum dissatisfaction among all potential subgroups, ensuring that no participant has an incentive to break away. To adapt this game-theoretic concept to practical, large-scale networks, we propose a streamlined implementation with a stack-based pruning algorithm, effectively balancing computational efficiency with allocation precision. Case studies in federated intrusion detection demonstrate that our mechanism correctly identifies pivotal contributors and strategic alliances. The results confirm that the practical LC framework promotes stable collaboration and fosters a sustainable FL ecosystem.

One-Step Generative Channel Estimation via Average Velocity Field

Generative models have shown immense potential for wireless communication by learning complex channel data distributions. However, the iterative denoising process associated with these models imposes a significant challenge in latency-sensitive wireless communication scenarios, particularly in channel estimation. To address this challenge, we propose a novel solution for one-step generative channel estimation. Our approach bypasses the time-consuming iterative steps of conventional models by directly learning the average velocity field. Through extensive simulations, we validate the effectiveness of our proposed method over existing state-of-the-art diffusion-based approach. Specifically, our scheme achieves a normalized mean squared error up to 2.65 dB lower than the diffusion method and reduces latency by around 90%, demonstrating the potential of our method to enhance channel estimation performance.

Energy-Efficient Probabilistic Semantic Communication Over Visible Light Networks With Rate Splitting

Visible light communication (VLC) is emerging as a key technology for future wireless communication systems due to its unique physical-layer advantages over traditional radio-frequency (RF)-based systems. However, its integration with higher-layer techniques, such as semantic communication, remains underexplored. This paper investigates the energy efficiency maximization problem in a resource-constrained VLC-based probabilistic semantic communication (PSCom) system. In the considered model, light-emitting diode (LED) transmitters perform semantic compression to reduce data size, which incurs additional computation overhead. The compressed semantic information is transmitted to the users for semantic inference using a shared knowledge base that requires periodic updates to ensure synchronization. In the PSCom system, the knowledge base is represented by probabilistic graphs. To enable simultaneous transmission of both knowledge and information data, rate splitting multiple access (RSMA) is employed. The optimization problem focuses on maximizing energy efficiency by jointly optimizing transmit beamforming, direct current (DC) bias, common rate allocation, and semantic compression ratio, while accounting for both communication and computation costs. To solve this problem, an alternating optimization algorithm based on successive convex approximation (SCA) and Dinkelbach method is developed. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Fluid Antenna Relay (FAR)-assisted Communication with Hybrid Relaying Scheme Selection

In this paper, we investigate a fluid antenna relay (FAR)-assisted communication system with hybrid relaying scheme selection. By leveraging statistical channel state information (CSI) and distribution characteristics of fluid antenna system (FAS), we approximate the outage probability (OP) with different relaying schemes utilizing a Gaussian copula-based method. Each relay node follows the OP-minimized principle to choose the forwarding schemes. To reduce self-interference and avoid multi-user interference, half-duplex relays and frequency division multiple access schemes are considered, respectively. On this basis, we formulate a sum-rate maximization problem to mitigate the rate loss introduced by the half-duplex mode. To solve this problem, we first transform the original nonconvex problem into a power control optimization problem by obtaining the closed form of bandwidth allocation and substituting it into the original problem. Then, we solve the power control optimization problem with a low complexity method. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm to improve the sum rate of the system.

Random Multiplexing

As wireless communication applications evolve from traditional multipath environments to high-mobility scenarios like unmanned aerial vehicles, multiplexing techniques have advanced accordingly. Traditional single-carrier frequency-domain equalization (SC-FDE) and orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) have given way to emerging orthogonal time-frequency space (OTFS) and affine frequency-division multiplexing (AFDM). These approaches exploit specific channel structures to diagonalize or sparsify the effective channel, thereby enabling low-complexity detection. However, their reliance on these structures significantly limits their robustness in dynamic, real-world environments. To address these challenges, this paper studies a random multiplexing technique that is decoupled from the physical channels, enabling its application to arbitrary norm-bounded and spectrally convergent channel matrices. Random multiplexing achieves statistical fading-channel ergodicity for transmitted signals by constructing an equivalent input-isotropic channel matrix in the random transform domain. It guarantees the asymptotic replica MAP bit-error rate (BER) optimality of AMP-type detectors for linear systems with arbitrary norm-bounded, spectrally convergent channel matrices and signaling configurations, under the unique fixed point assumption. A low-complexity cross-domain memory AMP (CD-MAMP) detector is considered, leveraging the sparsity of the time-domain channel and the randomness of the equivalent channel. Optimal power allocations are derived to minimize the replica MAP BER and maximize the replica constrained capacity of random multiplexing systems. The optimal coding principle and replica constrained-capacity optimality of CD-MAMP detector are investigated for random multiplexing systems. Additionally, the versatility of random multiplexing in diverse wireless applications is explored.

ICWLM: A Multi-Task Wireless Large Model via In-Context Learning

The rapid evolution of wireless communication technologies, particularly massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) and millimeter-wave (mmWave), introduces significant network complexity and computational demands. Significant research efforts have been made to improve physical layer performance by resorting to deep learning (DL) methods, which, however, are usually task-specific and struggle with data scarcity and generalization. To address these challenges, we propose a novel In-Context Wireless Large Model (ICWLM), a wireless-native foundation model designed for simultaneous multi-task learning at the physical layer. Unlike conventional methods that adapt wireless data to pre-trained large language models (LLMs), ICWLM is trained directly on large-scale, mixed wireless datasets from scratch. It jointly solves multiple classical physical layer problems, including multi-user precoding (sum-rate maximization and max-min SINR) and channel prediction. A key innovation of ICWLM is its utilization of in-context learning (ICL), enabling the model to adapt to varying system configurations and channel conditions with minimal demonstration pairs, eliminating the need for extensive retraining. Extensive simulation results demonstrate that ICWLM achieves competitive performance compared to task-specific methods while exhibiting remarkable generalization capabilities to unseen system configurations. This work offers a promising paradigm for developing unified and adaptive AI models for future wireless networks, potentially reducing deployment complexity and enhancing intelligent resource management.
