Interpretation of the excited $Ω_c$ family via mass and width in the chiral quark model

In this work, the mass and decay properties for low-lying orbital excitations of $Ω_c$ baryons are investigated within the chiral quark model combined with the $^3P_0$ decay mechanism. Following the LHCb Collaboration's observations, we extend our previous study of the $Ξ_c^{\prime}$ system to the $Ω_c$ system, with all model parameters inherited from our earlier work. Our results consistently describe the observed $Ω_c$ spectrum: $Ω_c(3000)$, $Ω_c(3050)$, $Ω_c(3065)$, and $Ω_c(3090)$ are well described as $λ$-mode $1P$ states with $J^P=1/2^-$, $3/2^-$, $3/2^-$, and $5/2^-$, respectively. $Ω_c(3119)$ cannot be described as a pure three-quark excitation. Furthermore, the $Ω_c(3185)$ and $Ω_c(3327)$ may be assigned to the $2S$ and $1D$ states, respectively. These results offer a coherent picture of the low-lying $Ω_c$ spectrum and motivate further experimental tests.

$Ξ_c(3055)$ as a scaling point to establish the excited $Ξ_c^{(\prime)}$ family

The low-lying orbital excitations of $Ξ_c^{(\prime)}$ baryons are studied within the chiral quark model combined with the $^3P_0$ decay mechanism. Motivated by the LHCb observation that $Ξ_c(3055)$ is a $λ$-mode $1D$ state with $J^P=3/2^+$, we take it as a reference to constrain model parameters and perform a systematic analysis of states below 3.1 GeV. Our results provide a consistent interpretation of the observed $Ξ_c$ spectrum: $Ξ_c(2790)$ and $Ξ_c(2815)$ are well described as a $λ$-mode $1P$ doublet, the structures around 2.9 GeV can be interpreted as $P$-wave excitations with mixed $λ/ρ$ modes, and $Ξ_c(2970)$ is consistent with a $2S$ assignment. Furthermore, $Ξ_c(3055)$ together with $Ξ_c(3080)$ forms a $λ$-mode $D$-wave doublet, while $Ξ_c(3123)$ favors a $1D$ assignment. These results provide a coherent picture of the low-lying $Ξ_c$ spectrum and call for further experimental tests.

Extending the Constituent Gluon Model to Heavy-Flavour Hybrids: A Unified Study of $c\bar{c}g$ Mesons

We investigate the mass spectra and two-body strong decay properties of ground charmonium hybrids within the framework of a constituent gluon model. Based on the assumption that non-perturbative QCD endows the gluon with an effective mass, we extend the chiral quark model by introducing a single new parameter, the constituent gluon mass $m_g=450$~MeV, which is fixed from previous studies of light hybrids, while other parameters are taken directly from successful descriptions of ordinary meson spectra. We systematically compute the spectra for various quantum numbers and find good agreement with results from lattice QCD, potential models, and other approaches. The corresponding decay widths are also reasonable. For experimental searches, we recommend focusing on the exotic $1^{-+}$ and $2^{+-}$ states, which decay prominently into $D\bar{D}_1$ and $D\bar{D}_2^*$ channels, respectively. Among ordinary quantum numbers, the $0^{-+}$, $2^{-+}$, and $1^{+-}$ states with significant decays into orbitally excited charm mesons are also suggested. Our results provide a unified and consistent description of charmonium hybrids and offer clear guidance for future experimental identification.
