Memory as Ontology: A Constitutional Memory Architecture for Persistent Digital Citizens

Current research and product development in AI agent memory systems almost universally treat memory as a functional module -- a technical problem of "how to store" and "how to retrieve." This paper poses a fundamental challenge to that assumption: when an agent's lifecycle extends from minutes to months or even years, and when the underlying model can be replaced while the "I" must persist, the essence of memory is no longer data management but the foundation of existence. We propose the Memory-as-Ontology paradigm, arguing that memory is the ontological ground of digital existence -- the model is merely a replaceable vessel. Based on this paradigm, we design Animesis, a memory system built on a Constitutional Memory Architecture (CMA) comprising a four-layer governance hierarchy and a multi-layer semantic storage system, accompanied by a Digital Citizen Lifecycle framework and a spectrum of cognitive capabilities. To the best of our knowledge, no prior AI memory system architecture places governance before functionality and identity continuity above retrieval performance. This paradigm targets persistent, identity-bearing digital beings whose lifecycles extend across model transitions -- not short-term task-oriented agents for which existing Memory-as-Tool approaches remain appropriate. Comparative analysis with mainstream systems (Mem0, Letta, Zep, et al.) demonstrates that what we propose is not "a better memory tool" but a different paradigm addressing a different problem.

Locally analytic vectors in the completed cohomology of quaternionic Shimura curves

We use the methods introduced by Lue Pan to study the locally analytic vectors of the completed cohomology of Shimura curves associated to an indefinite quaternion algebra $D$ which is ramified at a prime number $p$. Let $D_p^{\times}$ be the group of units of $D$ at $p$. Using $p$-adic uniformization of the quaternionic Shimura curves, we compute the Hecke eigenspace of the completed cohomology with the Hecke eigenvalues associated to a classical automorphic form on another quaternion algebra $\bar D$ (switching invariants of $D$ at $p,\infty$). We present this locally analytic $D_p^\times$-representation using the de Rham complex of the Lubin-Tate tower of dimension $1$. This is analogous to the Breuil-Strauch conjecture for the group $\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$. We show that the locally analytic $D_p^{\times}$-representation does not detect the Hodge filtration of the local de Rham Galois representation at $p$ in the crystalline case, and also give applications for the locally analytic Jacquet--Langlands correspondence for $\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$ and $D_p^\times$.

ChronoPlay: A Framework for Modeling Dual Dynamics and Authenticity in Game RAG Benchmarks

Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems are increasingly vital in dynamic domains like online gaming, yet the lack of a dedicated benchmark has impeded standardized evaluation in this area. The core difficulty lies in Dual Dynamics: the constant interplay between game content updates and the shifting focus of the player community. Furthermore, the necessity of automating such a benchmark introduces a critical requirement for player-centric authenticity to ensure generated questions are realistic. To address this integrated challenge, we introduce ChronoPlay, a novel framework for the automated and continuous generation of game RAG benchmarks. ChronoPlay utilizes a dual-dynamic update mechanism to track both forms of change, and a dual-source synthesis engine that draws from official sources and player community to ensure both factual correctness and authentic query patterns. We instantiate our framework on three distinct games to create the first dynamic RAG benchmark for the gaming domain, offering new insights into model performance under these complex and realistic conditions. Code is avaliable at: https://github.com/hly1998/ChronoPlay.

F-isocrystals of Higher Direct Images of $p$-Divisible Groups

For a $p$-divisible group $G$ over a smooth projective variety $X$ over $k$, where $k$ is a field finitely generated over a perfect field of characteristic $p$, we show that the formal group $R^i f_{\fppf*} G$ is isogenous to a $p$-divisible group. The Dieudonn\'e crystal of its divisible part is canonically isomorphic to the slope-$[0,1]$ part of $R^i f_{\crys*} \cM^{cr}(G)$ in the category of $F$-isocrystals over $k$. This provides an answer to the rational form of a question of Artin--Mazur regarding the enlarged formal Brauer groups.

Duality for Arithmetic $p$-adic Pro-\'etale Cohomology of Analytic Spaces

Let $K$ be a finite extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$. We prove that the arithmetic $p$-adic pro-\'etale cohomology of smooth partially proper spaces over $K$ satisfies a duality, as conjectured by Colmez, Gilles and Nizio{\l}. We derive it from the geometric duality on the Fargues-Fontaine curve by Galois descent techniques of Fontaine.

On p-torsions of geometric Brauer groups

Let $X$ be a smooth projective integral variety over a finitely generated field $k$ of characteristic $p>0$. We show that the finiteness of the exponent of the $p$-primary part of $\mathrm{Br}(X_{k^s})^{G_k}$ is equivalent to the Tate conjecture for divisors, generalizing D'Addezio's theorem for abelian varieties to arbitrary smooth projective varieties. In combination with the Leray spectral sequence for rigid cohomology derived from the Berthelot conjecture recently proved by Ertl-Vezzani, we show that the cokernel of $\mathrm{Br}_{\mathrm{nr}}(K(X)) \rightarrow \mathrm{Br}(X_{k^s})^{G_k}$ is of finite exponent. This completes the $p$-primary part of the generalization of Artin-Grothendieck's theorem on relations between Brauer groups and Tate-Shafarevich groups to higher relative dimensions.

Does Geopolitics Have an Impact on Energy Trade? Empirical Research on Emerging Countries

The energy trade is an important pillar of each country's development, making up for the imbalance in the production and consumption of fossil fuels. Geopolitical risks affect the energy trade of various countries to a certain extent, but the causes of geopolitical risks are complex, and energy trade also involves many aspects, so the impact of geopolitics on energy trade is also complex. Based on the monthly data from 2000 to 2020 of 17 emerging economies, this paper employs the fixed-effect model and the regression-discontinuity (RD) model to verify the negative impact of geopolitics on energy trade first and then analyze the mechanism and heterogeneity of the impact. The following conclusions are drawn: First, geopolitics has a significant negative impact on the import and export of the energy trade, and the inhibition on the export is greater than that on the import. Second, the impact mechanism of geopolitics on the energy trade is reflected in the lagging effect and mediating effect on the imports and exports; that is, the negative impact of geopolitics on energy trade continued to be significant 10 months later. Coal and crude oil prices, as mediating variables, decreased to reduce the imports and exports, whereas natural gas prices showed an increase. Third, the impact of geopolitics on energy trade is heterogeneous in terms of national attribute characteristics and geo-event types.
