Gaitsgory's central functor and the Arkhipov-Bezrukavnikov equivalence in mixed characteristic

We show that the nearby cycles functor for the $p$-adic Hecke stack at parahoric level is perverse t-exact, by developing a theory of Wakimoto filtrations at Iwahori level, and that it lifts to the $\mathbb{E}_1$-center. We apply these tools to construct the Arkhipov-Bezrukavnikov functor for $p$-adic affine flag varieties at Iwahori level, and prove that it is an equivalence for all classical groups and also exceptional groups of type $E_6$ and $E_7$.

S=T for Shimura Varieties and Moduli Spaces of p-adic Shtukas

We prove the $S=T$ conjecture proposed by Xiao--Zhu in \cite{2017arXiv170705700X}, making use of Scholze's theory of diamonds and v-stacks and Fargues--Scholze's geometric Satake equivalence. Following \cite{2018arXiv180205299X}, we deduce the Eichler--Shimura relation for Shimura varieties of Hodge type.

Residual-Quantile Adjustment for Adaptive Training of Physics-informed Neural Network

Adaptive training methods for Physics-informed neural network (PINN) require dedicated constructions of the distribution of weights assigned at each training sample. To efficiently seek such an optimal weight distribution is not a simple task and most existing methods choose the adaptive weights based on approximating the full distribution or the maximum of residuals. In this paper, we show that the bottleneck in the adaptive choice of samples for training efficiency is the behavior of the tail distribution of the numerical residual. Thus, we propose the Residual-Quantile Adjustment (RQA) method for a better weight choice for each training sample. After initially setting the weights proportional to the $p$-th power of the residual, our RQA method reassign all weights above $q$-quantile ($90\%$ for example) to the median value, so that the weight follows a quantile-adjusted distribution derived from the residuals. This iterative reweighting technique, on the other hand, is also very easy to implement. Experiment results show that the proposed method can outperform several adaptive methods on various partial differential equation (PDE) problems.

A Note on Hodge-Tate Spectral Sequences

We prove that the Hodge-Tate spectral sequence of a proper smooth rigid analytic variety can be reconstructed from its infinitesimal $\mathbb{B}_{\text{dR}}^+$-cohomology through the Bialynicki-Birula map. A refinement of the decalage functor $Lη$ is introduced to accomplish the proof. Further, we give a new proof of the torsion-freeness of the infinitesimal $\mathbb{B}_{\text{dR}}^+$-cohomology independent of Conrad-Gabber spreading theorem, and a conceptual explanation that the degeneration of Hodge-Tate spectral sequences is equivalent to that of Hodge-de Rham spectral sequences.

The Plectic Weight Filtration on Cohomology of Shimura Varieties and Partial Frobenius

We prove that there is a natural plectic weight filtration on the cohomology of Hilbert modular varieties in the spirit of Nekovar and Scholl. This is achieved with the help of Morel's work on weight t-structures and a detailed study of partial Frobenius. We prove in particular that the partial Frobenius extends to toroidal and minimal compactifications.

Distributed Convex Optimization With Coupling Constraints Over Time-Varying Directed Graphs

This paper considers a distributed convex optimization problem over a time-varying multi-agent network, where each agent has its own decision variables that should be set so as to minimize its individual objective subject to local constraints and global coupling equality constraints. Over directed graphs, a distributed algorithm is proposed that incorporates the push-sum protocol into dual subgradient methods. Under the convexity assumption, the optimality of primal and dual variables, and constraint violations is first established. Then the explicit convergence rates of the proposed algorithm are obtained. Finally, some numerical experiments on the economic dispatch problem are provided to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed algorithm.

Distributed Regularized Dual Gradient Algorithm for Constrained Convex Optimization over Time-Varying Directed Graphs

We investigate a distributed optimization problem over a cooperative multi-agent time-varying network, where each agent has its own decision variables that should be set so as to minimize its individual objective subject to local constraints and global coupling constraints. Based on push-sum protocol and dual decomposition, we design a distributed regularized dual gradient algorithm to solve this problem, in which the algorithm is implemented in time-varying directed graphs only requiring the column stochasticity of communication matrices. By augmenting the corresponding Lagrangian function with a quadratic regularization term, we first obtain the bound of the Lagrangian multipliers which does not require constructing a compact set containing the dual optimal set when compared with most of primal-dual based methods. Then, we obtain that the convergence rate of the proposed method can achieve the order of $\mathcal{O}(\ln T/T)$ for strongly convex objective functions, where $T$ is the iterations. Moreover, the explicit bound of constraint violations is also given. Finally, numerical results on the network utility maximum problem are used to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
