Revisiting $\bar B^0 \rightarrow \Lambda_c^+ \bar p$ decay with higher twist corrections

We investigate the single-charmed baryonic decays $\bar B^0 \to \Lambda_c^+ \bar p$ and $\bar B^0 \to \bar\Lambda_c^- p$, which receive contributions from both $W$-emission and $W$-exchange topologies, within the framework of perturbative QCD (PQCD). Higher-power corrections associated with the hadronic light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of both the initial- and final-state hadrons are systematically taken into account. We find that these higher-twist contributions play an important role in baryonic $B$ decays and cannot be neglected. A sizable destructive interference between the $W$-emission and $W$-exchange amplitudes is observed, which significantly reduces the predicted branching fraction of $\bar B^0 \to \Lambda_c^+ \bar p$ and leads to improved agreement with experimental measurements. The doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $\bar B^0 \to \bar\Lambda_c^- p$ is studied for the first time. Its branching fraction is predicted to be of order $10^{-8}$, placing it within the reach of future high-luminosity experiments. We further present the first theoretical predictions for the decay asymmetry parameters of both channels, which provide additional observables for testing the underlying decay dynamics and can be confronted with future experimental data.

Large CP violation in $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda D$ decays and extraction of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa angle $\gamma$

Motivated by the first observation of CP violation in $b$-baryon decays, the search for baryonic decays exhibiting large CP violation will be a primary focus in the coming years. We propose that significant CP-violating effects exist in the decay $\Lambda_b \to \Lambda D$, where $D$ denotes a CP eigenstate of the $D^0 - \bar{D}^0$ system. The predicted CP asymmetries for both the CP-even and CP-odd modes can reach magnitudes as large as $50\%$, making these decays promising targets for measurement at the LHCb experiment. Additionally, we predict for the first time several nonzero CP-violating observables associated with angular distribution parameters, providing valuable complementary information in the search for CP violation in baryon decays. Furthermore, we propose a novel strategy to extract the CKM angle $\gamma$ by combining data on angular distribution parameters and decay rates from the relevant channels. We emphasize that $\Lambda_b \rightarrow \Lambda D$ decays are among the most promising candidates for determining $\gamma$ in the baryon sector. Our findings may offer new insights for future theoretical and experimental investigations.

Quasi-two-body decays $B^+\to D_s^+ (R\to) K^+K^-$ in the perturbative QCD approach

A search for the decay $B^+\to D_s^+ K^+K^-$ has been reported by the LHCb Collaboration using $pp$ collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $4.8\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, collected at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13~TeV, in which no amplitude analysis of the $K^+K^-$ subsystem was performed. In this work, we study the resonant contributions to the decay $B^+\to D_s^+ K^+K^-$ within the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization framework. Contributions from the $S$-wave resonances $f_0(980)$, $f_0(1370)$, and $f_0(1500)$, the $P$-wave resonance $\phi(1020)$, and the $D$-wave resonances $f_2(1270)$ and $f_2(1525)$ are taken into account. By introducing the corresponding two-meson distribution amplitudes for the $K^+K^-$ system, we perform a complete perturbative analysis of the quasi-two-body decays $B^+\to D_s^+(R\to)K^+K^-$, where $R$ denotes an intermediate resonance, and present the first PQCD predictions for the associated branching fractions. Using the narrow-width approximation, we further extract the branching fractions of the corresponding two-body decays $B^+\to D_s^+R$. Our results are consistent with the available experimental measurements and previous theoretical studies. Finally, we find that direct CP asymmetries vanish for these quasi-two-body decays within the Standard Model, so that any experimentally observed nonzero CP asymmetry would constitute a clear signal of physics beyond the Standard Model.

$B_c$ meson decays into $S$-wave charmonium plus light meson pairs in the perturbative QCD approach

In this work, we explore the $P$-wave resonance contributions to the three-body charmonium decays of $B_c\to \Psi (V\to) P_1P_2$ using the perturbative QCD formalism at leading order, where $\Psi$ denotes a $S$-wave charmonium state, such as $\eta_c(1S,2S),J/\psi$, and $\psi(2S)$. Here, $P_1P_2$ represents a collinear $\pi\pi$ ($K\pi$) pair in the final state, which was primarily produced through the vector resonance $\rho(770)$ ($K^*(892)$ ). With the improved two-meson distribution amplitudes determined from our previous works, we examined the $CP$-averaged branching ratios and polarization fractions of the considered three-body decays. The longitudinal polarization fractions of the $B_c\to [J/\psi, \psi(2S)] (V\to) P_1P_2$ decays are found to be as large as $\sim 90\%$, since the transverse amplitudes from the dominant factorizable emission diagrams are always power suppressed with respect to the longitudinal ones. The direct $CP$ violations in $B_c\to \Psi (V\to) P_1P_2$ decays are predicted naturally to be zero as they solely receive contributions from tree diagrams. Several interesting relative ratios among the branching fractions of the concerned processes are investigated. In particular, the obtained ratio $R^{\rm PQCD}_{2\pi/\pi}\equiv \mathcal{B}(B^+_c \to J/\psi(\rho\to)\pi^+\pi^0)/{\mathcal{B}(B^+_c \to J/\psi\pi^+)}=2.67^{+0.21}_{-0.14}$ is consistent well with the LHCb measurement $R^{\rm exp}_{2\pi/\pi}=2.80\pm0.25$. Other similar ratios proposed in this work can be tested by LHCb experiments in the near future.

Semileptonic neutral current decays of $\Xi_b$ with dileptons or dineutrinos in the final state

We perform a detailed analysis of semileptonic $\Xi_b$ decays mediated by flavor-changing neutral currents ($b\to s$ and $b\to d$) with dilepton or dineutrino final states within the perturbative QCD framework. All independent form factors including vector, axial-vector, tensor, and pseudotensor currents are calculated and are used to analyze the decay branching fractions and angular distributions. Our numerical results for the branching fractions of $\Xi_b\to \Xi \ell^+\ell^-$ decays suggest they are within measurable reach for the LHCb experiment in the near future. Furthermore, we show that a measurement of the ratio $\mathcal{B}(\Xi_b^-\to \Sigma^- \mu^+\mu^-) / \mathcal{B}(\Xi_b^-\to \Xi^- \mu^+\mu^-)$ will allow for an independent determination of $|V_{td}/V_{ts}|$. For the case of unpolarized $\Xi_b$ baryons, we derive several angular observables, which can provide new and complementary constraints on Wilson coefficients in semileptonic FCNC transitions compared to those from mesonic decays. Finally, we present a combined analysis of dilepton and dineutrino channels, comparing various observables in detail. Our results offer further insights into the long-standing anomalies observed in $B$ meson decays.

Cabibbo-suppressed charged-current semileptonic decays of $\Xi_b$ baryons

We present the first perturbative QCD calculations of the $\Xi_b \to (\Lambda, \Sigma)$ transition form factors at leading order in $\alpha_s$, which govern the Cabibbo-suppressed semileptonic decays $\Xi_b \to (\Lambda, \Sigma)\ell \nu_\ell$ with $\ell = e, \mu, \tau$. Using these form factors, we evaluate differential and integrated branching fractions and angular observables within the helicity formalism. The branching ratios are predicted to be of order $10^{-4}$ for $\Sigma$ final states and $10^{-5}$ for $\Lambda$ final states, making them accessible to ongoing experiments such as LHCb. Ratios of decay rates between $\tau$ and $e$ channels are also provided, offering new probes of lepton-flavor universality. Lepton-mass effects are found to significantly impact the integrated angular observables. Furthermore, a combined analysis of $b \to u$ and $b \to c$ transitions in $\Xi_b$ decays yields sub-percent precision for the ratios $\mathcal{R}_\ell(\Sigma/\Xi_c)$, enabling an independent determination of $|V_{ub}/V_{cb}|$ once the relevant decay-rate measurements become available.

Semileptonic baryon decays $\Xi_b\rightarrow \Xi_c \ell^- \bar{\nu}_\ell $ in perturbative QCD

We perform a detailed analysis of the semileptonic $\Xi_b\rightarrow \Xi_c \ell^- \bar{\nu}_\ell$ decays within the perturbative QCD framework. In our study, the $\Xi_b\rightarrow \Xi_c$ transition form factors are calculated using several popular models for baryonic light-cone distribution amplitudes. These form factors are then employed to analyze a range of observable quantities for the semileptonic processes via the helicity formalism. Our work presents predictions for the branching fractions of these decays for both the $\tau$ and $e$ channels. Notably, the obtained lepton flavor universality ratio, $\mathcal{R}_{\Xi_c}\approx 0.3$, may offer new insights into the $\mathcal{R}^{(*)}$ puzzle. Furthermore, we investigate various angular observables, such as forward-backward asymmetries, lepton-side convexity parameters, and polarization asymmetries, which provide complementary information regarding potential new physics in $b$-baryonic semileptonic transitions. The numerical results for these angular observables are presented as both functions of $q^2$ and as averaged values. We observe that the lepton mass plays a significant role in shaping the angular distributions, affecting most of the observables under consideration. These results are expected to be valuable for both current and future experimental investigations of semileptonic heavy-to-heavy baryon decays.

Improved global determination of two-meson distribution amplitudes from multi-body $B$ decays

We improve the perturbative QCD (PQCD) formalism for multi-body charmless hadronic $B$ meson decays, such as $B\to VP_3\to P_1P_2P_3$, by resolving the possible discrepancy in parametrizing the contribution of the $P$-wave resonance $V$ to the two-meson distribution amplitudes (DAs) associated with the pairs $P_1P_2=\pi\pi, K\pi, KK$. The determination of the Gegenbauer moments in the two-meson DAs is then updated in the global fit of the improved PQCD factorization formulas at leading order in the strong coupling $\alpha_s$ to available data for branching ratios and polarization fractions of three- and four-body $B$ decays. The convergence of the Gegenbauer expansion of the resultant two-meson DAs is manifest. The satisfactory quality of the fit implies the consistency of the PQCD framework for multi-body $B$ decays and the universality of the nonperturbative two-meson DAs. In particular, the predicted longitudinal polarization fraction $f_0(B_s^0\to K^{*0} {\bar K}^{*0})=28.2^{+8.8}_{-9.5} \%$ with the updated Gegenbauer moments matches well the measurement. The observable $L_{K^{*0}{\bar K}^{*0}}=7.7^{+4.9}_{-3.8}$, defined as the ratio of the longitudinal amplitudes of the two $U$-spin related channels $B_s^0\to K^{*0} {\bar K}^{*0}$ and $B^0\to K^{*0} {\bar K}^{*0}$, accommodates the current data within errors. It is found that the direct $CP$ asymmetries ${\cal A}^{0,||,\bot}_{\rm CP}$ in the polarization states of some four-body decays $B\to V_1V_2\to (P_1P_2)(P_3P_4)$ might be large, but the destruction among them result in small net $CP$ violation. Our predictions can be confronted with LHCb and Belle-II data in the future.

Higher twist corrections to doubly-charmed baryonic $B$ decays

Baryonic two-body $B$ mesons decays have been measured experimentally for some time, which provides an excellent ground for studying the QCD of baryonic $B$ decays. In this work, we investigate the two-body doubly-charmed baryonic $B$ decays in the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach including higher twist contributions to the light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs). The charmed baryon LCDAs are included up to the twist four and the effect of the subleading component of the $B$ meson LCDAs is studied for details. With the inclusion of these higher-power contributions, the PQCD results on rates can explain the current experimental data well. Moreover, we note that the SU(3) symmetry breaking is important in the concerned processes and play an essential role in understanding the measurements of $\mathcal{B}(\overline{B}^0\to \Lambda_c^+\overline \Lambda_c^-)$ and $ \mathcal{B}({B}^-\to\Xi_c^0\overline \Lambda_c^-)$. We also evaluate the angular asymmetries for the first time, which have neither been measured experimentally nor calculated theoretically. All these predictions can be tested in future.

$CP$-violating observables of four-body $B_{(s)} \to (\pi\pi)(K\bar{K})$ decays in perturbative QCD

In this work, we investigate six helicity amplitudes of the four-body $B_{(s)} \to (\pi\pi)(K\bar{K})$ decays in the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach. The $\pi\pi$ invariant mass spectrum is dominated by the vector resonance $\rho(770)$ together with scalar resonance $f_0(980)$, while the vector resonance $\phi(1020)$ and scalar resonance $f_0(980)$ are expected to contribute in the $K\bar{K}$ invariant mass range. We extract the two-body branching ratios ${\cal B}(B_{(s)}\to \rho\phi)$ from the corresponding four-body decays $B_{(s)}\to \rho\phi\to (\pi\pi)(K \bar K)$. The predicted ${\cal B}(B^0_{s}\to \rho\phi)$ agrees well with the current experimental data within errors. The longitudinal polarization fractions of the $B_{(s)}\to \rho\phi$ decays are found to be as large as $90\%$, basically consistent with the previous two-body predictions within uncertainties. In addition, the triple-product asymmetries (TPAs) of the considered decays are also presented for the first time. Since the $B_s^0\to \rho^0\phi\to(\pi^+\pi^-)(K^+K^-)$ decay is induced by both tree and penguin operators, the values of the ${\cal A}^{\rm CP}_{\rm dir}$ and ${\cal A}^{1}_{\text{T-true}}$ are calculated to be $(21.8^{+2.7}_{-3.3})\%$ and $(-10.23^{+1.73}_{-1.56})\%$ respectively. While for pure penguin decays $B^0\to \rho^0\phi\to(\pi^+\pi^-)(K^+K^-)$ and $B^+\to \rho^+\phi\to(\pi^+\pi^0)(K^+K^-)$, both the direct $CP$ asymmetries and ``true" TPAs are naturally expected to be zero in the standard model (SM). The ``fake" TPAs requiring no weak phase difference are usually none zero for all considered decay channels. The sizable ``fake" ${\cal A}^{1}_{\text{T-fake}}=(-20.92^{+6.26}_{-2.80})\%$ of the $B^0\to \rho^0\phi\to(\pi^+\pi^-)(K^+K^-)$ decay is predicted in the PQCD approach, which provides valuable information on the final-state interactions. Our predictions can be tested by the future experiments.

Charmonium decays of beauty baryons in the perturbative QCD approach

Motivated by recent advances in experimental measurements of heavy baryon decays, the charmonium decays of single $b$-baryon are investigated systematically in the framework of perturbative QCD approach. We calculate the decay branching ratios and helicity amplitudes as well as many pertinent decay asymmetry parameters that characterize the angular decay distributions. In particular, we estimate the fragmentation fractions of $b$ quark to $b$-baryons based on the current world averages of the branching ratio multiplied by fragmentation fraction. Some of the featured results are compared with the predictions of other approaches and experimental data. We also evaluate the branching ratios and angular asymmetries of the $\Sigma_b$ and $\Xi'_b$ decay modes, which have neither been measured experimentally nor calculated theoretically. Our results could be helpful for a future experimental search for them and provide deeper insights in the understanding of the dynamics of heavy-flavor weak decay processes.

Study of four-body decays $B_{(s)} \to (\pi\pi)(\pi\pi)$ in the perturbative QCD approach

In this work, we make a systematical study on the four-body $B_{(s)} \to (\pi\pi)(\pi\pi)$ decays in the perturbative QCD approach, where the $\pi\pi$ invariant mass spectra are dominated by the vector resonance $\rho(770)$ and the scalar resonance $f_0(980)$. We improve the Gengenbauer moments for the longitudinal $P$-wave two-pion distribution amplitudes (DAs) by fitting the PQCD factorization formulas to measured branching ratios of three-body and four-body $B$ decays. With the fitted Gegenbauer moments, we make predictions for the branching ratios and direct $CP$ asymmetries of four-body $B_{(s)} \to (\pi\pi)(\pi\pi)$ decays. We extract the branching ratios of two-body $B_{(s)} \to \rho\rho$ from the corresponding four-body decay modes and calculate the relevant polarization fractions. We find that the ${\cal B}(B^0 \to \rho^+\rho^-)$ is consistent with the previous theoretical predictions and data. The leading-order PQCD calculations of the ${\cal B}(B^+\to \rho^+\rho^0)$, ${\cal B}(B^0\to \rho^0\rho^0)$ and the $f_0(B^0\to \rho^0\rho^0)$ are a bit lower than the experimental measurements, which should be further examined. In addition, the "true" and "fake" triple-product asymmetries (TPAs) in the $B_{(s)}\to (\pi\pi)(\pi\pi)$ decays are also analyzed. The sizable averaged TPA ${\cal A}_{\text{T-true}}^{1, \text{ave}}=25.26\%$ of the color-suppressed decay $B^0\to \rho^0\rho^0 \to (\pi^+\pi^-)(\pi^+\pi^-)$ is predicted for the first time, which deviates a lot from the so-called "true" TPA $\mathcal{A}_\text{T-true}^1=7.92\%$ due to the large direct $CP$ violation. A large "fake" TPA $\mathcal{A}_\text{T-fake}^1=24.96\%$ of the decay $B^0\to \rho^0\rho^0 \to (\pi^+\pi^-)(\pi^+\pi^-)$ is also found, which indicates the significance of the final-state interactions. The predictions in this work can be tested by LHCb and Belle-II experiments in the near future.

Estimates of the isospin-violating $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Sigma^0 \phi, \Sigma^0 J/\psi$ decays and the $\Sigma-\Lambda$ mixing

We analyse the two purely isospin-violating decays $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Sigma^0 \phi$ and $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Sigma^0 J/\psi$, proceed merely via the exchange topologies, in the framework of perturbative QCD approach. Assuming $\Sigma^0$ baryon belongs to the idealized isospin triplet with quark components of $usd$, the branching ratios of the two decay modes are predicted to be tiny, of the order $10^{-8}-10^{-9}$, leading to a difficulty in observing them. We then extend our study to include the $\Sigma-\Lambda$ mixing. It is found that the mixing has significant effect on the $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Sigma$ decays, especially it can greatly increase the rate of the $J/\psi$ process, by as much as two orders of magnitude, yield $10^{-7}$, which should be searchable in the future. We also estimate a set of asymmetry observables with and without the mixing effect, which will be tested in coming experiments.

Mixing effects of $\eta-\eta'$ in $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda \eta^{(')}$ decays

We perform a thorough analysis of the $\eta-\eta'$ mixing effects on the $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda \eta^{(')}$ decays based on the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach. Branching ratios, up-down and direct $CP$ asymmetries are computed by considering four popular mixing schemes, such as $\eta-\eta'$, $\eta-\eta'-\eta_c$, $\eta-\eta'-G$, and $\eta-\eta'-G-\eta_c$ mixing formalism, where $G$ represents the physical pseudoscalar gluball. The PQCD predictions with the four mixing schemes does not change much for the $\eta$ channel but changes significantly for the $\eta'$ one. In particular, the value of $\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda \eta^{'})$ in the $\eta-\eta'-G-\eta_c$ mixing scheme exceeds the present experimental bound by a factor of 2, indicates the related mixing angles may be overestimated. Because of the distinctive patterns of interference between $S$-wave and $P$-wave amplitudes, the predicted up-down asymmetries for the two modes differ significantly. The obvious discrepancies among different theoretical analyses should be clarified in the future. The direct $CP$ violations are predicted to be at the level of a few percent mainly due to the tree contributions of the strange and nonstrange amplitudes suffer from the color suppression and CKM suppression. Finally, as a byproduct, we investigate the $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda \eta_c$ process, which has a large branching ratio of order $10^{-4}$, promising to be measured by the LHCb experiment. Our findings are useful for constraining the mixing parameters, comprehending the $\eta^{(')}$ configurations, and instructing experimental measurements.

Estimates of exchange topological contributions and $CP$-violating observables in $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda \phi$ decay

The penguin-dominated two-body weak decay of $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda \phi$ is studied based on the perturbative QCD approach. In addition to the penguin emission diagrams, the penguin exchange and $W$ exchange ones are also accounted for. It is found that the penguin exchange contribution is in fact important and comparable to the penguin emission one, while the $W$ exchange contribution is highly Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) suppressed. The predicted branching ratio, $\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda \phi)=6.9^{+1.9+1.8}_{-2.0-1.6}\times10^{-6}$, is larger than the previous theoretical estimates but in comparison with the data from Particle Data Group at the level of 1 standard deviation. We also explore some pertinent decay asymmetry parameters that characterize the angular decay distributions. The inclusion of the $W$ exchange contribution provides the nonzero weak phase difference, consequently, allowing us to estimate the direct $CP$ violation and true triple product asymmetries in the concerned process. The numerical results demonstrate that the direct $CP$ violation is at the level of a few percent, and the true triple product asymmetries are also predicted to be tiny, of order $10^{-2}-10^{-4}$. The observed small $CP$-violating observables have shown no significant deviations from zero. Our predictions will be subject to stringent tests with precise data from LHCb in the future.

Investigating the color-suppressed decays $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda \psi$ in the perturbative QCD approach

The nonleptonic two-body $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda\psi $ decays with $\psi=J/\psi$ or $\psi(2S)$ are investigated based on the perturbative QCD approach. These are color-suppressed processes in which the nonfactorizable contributions are confirmed to be dominant. Angular momentum conservation allows us to describe the concerned decays by four independent complex helicity amplitudes. It is observed that the negative-helicity states for the $\Lambda$ baryon are preferred as expected in the left-handed nature of the charged-current interaction. The obtained results for the helicity amplitudes are used to compute the branching ratios and various observable parameters, which are then compared to the existing theoretical predictions and experimental data. In particular, we predict the ratio $\mathcal{R}=\frac{\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b\rightarrow\Lambda \psi(2S))}{\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b\rightarrow\Lambda J/\psi)}=0.47^{+0.02}_{-0.00}$ in comparison with $0.508\pm 0.023$ from the Particle Data Group at the level of 1 standard deviation. We also briefly explore the long-distance contributions to the semileptonic $\Lambda_b \rightarrow \Lambda l^+l^-$ decays in the kinematic regions where the dilepton invariant masses are around the $J/\psi$ and $\psi(2S)$ resonances.

Study of $B_{(s)}^0 \to \phi\phi \to (K^+K^-)(K^+K^-)$ decays in the perturbative QCD approach

In this work, we make a detailed analysis on the penguin-dominant processes $B_{(s)}^0 \to \phi\phi \to (K^+K^-)(K^+K^-)$ in the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach. In addition to the dominant $P$-wave resonance, the scalar background $f_0(980) \to K^+K^-$ is also accounted for. We improve the Gegenbauer moments in $KK$ two-meson distribution amplitudes by fitting the PQCD factorization formulas to measured branching ratios of three-body and four-body $B$ decays. We extract the branching ratios of two-body $B_{(s)}^0 \to \phi\phi$ decays from the corresponding four-body decay modes and calculate the relevant polarization fractions together with two relative phases $\phi_{\parallel,\perp}$, which are consistent with the previous theoretical predictions. The PQCD predictions for the "true" triple product asymmetries (TPAs) are zero which are expected in the standard model due to the vanishing weak phase difference, and support the current data reported by the CDF and LHCb Collaborations. A large "fake" TPA $\mathcal{A}_\text{T-fake}^1=30.4\%$ of the decay $B^0_s \to \phi\phi \to (K^+K^-)(K^+K^-)$ is predicted for the first time, which indicates the presence of the significant final-state interactions. The TPAs of the rare decay channel $B^0 \to \phi\phi\to (K^+K^-)(K^+K^-)$ are also predicted and can be tested in the near future.

Nonleptonic two-body decays of $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda_c \pi, \Lambda_cK$ in the perturbative QCD approach

We study the color-allowed $\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda_c \pi, \Lambda_cK$ decays in the perturbative QCD approach (PQCD) to lowest order in strong coupling constant $\alpha_s$. Both the factorizable and nonfactorizable contributions are taken into account in our calculations. It is found that these processes are dominated by the factorizable contributions, while the important nonfactorizable contributions can enhance the branching ratios by about 30$\%$. The decay branching ratios are predicted to be $\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda_c \pi)=6.7^{+4.1}_{-3.8}\times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b\rightarrow \Lambda_c K)=5.0^{+4.0}_{-3.0}\times 10^{-4}$, where the uncertainties arise from the baryon light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs), the heavy charm quark and charmed baryon masses, and the hard scales. It is shown that the asymmetry parameters in the two decays are approximately equal to -1, which is expected as in the heavy quark limit and the soft meson limit. Our predictions are consistent with the recent experimental data within errors. The obtained numerical results are also compared to those in the other theoretical approaches when they are available.
