Semantic-guided Gaussian Splatting for High-Fidelity Underwater Scene Reconstruction

Accurate 3D reconstruction in degraded imaging conditions remains a key challenge in photogrammetry and neural rendering. In underwater environments, spatially varying visibility caused by scattering, attenuation, and sparse observations leads to highly non-uniform information quality. Existing 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) methods typically optimize primitives based on photometric signals alone, resulting in imbalanced representation, with overfitting in well-observed regions and insufficient reconstruction in degraded areas. In this paper, we propose SWAGSplatting (Semantic-guided Water-scene Augmented Gaussian Splatting), a multimodal framework that integrates semantic priors into 3DGS for robust, high-fidelity underwater reconstruction. Each Gaussian primitive is augmented with a learnable semantic feature, supervised by CLIP-based embeddings derived from region-level cues. A semantic consistency loss is introduced to align geometric reconstruction with high-level semantics, improving structural coherence and preserving salient object boundaries under challenging conditions. Furthermore, we propose an adaptive Gaussian primitive reallocation strategy that redistributes representation capacity based on both primitive importance and reconstruction error, mitigating the imbalance introduced by conventional densification. This enables more effective modeling of low-visibility regions without increasing computational cost. Extensive experiments on real-world datasets, including SeaThru-NeRF, Submerged3D, and S-UW, demonstrate that the proposed method consistently outperforms state-of-the-art approaches in terms of average PSNR, SSIM, and LPIPS. The results validate the effectiveness of integrating semantic priors for high-fidelity underwater scene reconstruction. Code is available at https://github.com/theflash987/SWAGSplatting.

EP-GAT: Energy-based Parallel Graph Attention Neural Network for Stock Trend Classification

Graph neural networks have shown remarkable performance in forecasting stock movements, which arises from learning complex inter-dependencies between stocks and intra-dynamics of stocks. Existing approaches based on graph neural networks typically rely on static or manually defined factors to model changing inter-dependencies between stocks. Furthermore, these works often struggle to preserve hierarchical features within stocks. To bridge these gaps, this work presents the Energy-based Parallel Graph Attention Neural Network, a novel approach for predicting future movements for multiple stocks. First, it generates a dynamic stock graph with the energy difference between stocks and Boltzmann distribution, capturing evolving inter-dependencies between stocks. Then, a parallel graph attention mechanism is proposed to preserve the hierarchical intra-stock dynamics. Extensive experiments on five real-world datasets are conducted to validate the proposed approach, spanning from the US stock markets (NASDAQ, NYSE, SP) and UK stock markets (FTSE, LSE). The experimental results demonstrate that EP-GAT consistently outperforms competitive five baselines on test periods across various metrics. The ablation studies and hyperparameter sensitivity analysis further validate the effectiveness of each module in the proposed method. The raw dataset and code are available at https://github.com/theflash987/EP-GAT.

RUSplatting: Robust 3D Gaussian Splatting for Sparse-View Underwater Scene Reconstruction

Reconstructing high-fidelity underwater scenes remains a challenging task due to light absorption, scattering, and limited visibility inherent in aquatic environments. This paper presents an enhanced Gaussian Splatting-based framework that improves both the visual quality and geometric accuracy of deep underwater rendering. We propose decoupled learning for RGB channels, guided by the physics of underwater attenuation, to enable more accurate colour restoration. To address sparse-view limitations and improve view consistency, we introduce a frame interpolation strategy with a novel adaptive weighting scheme. Additionally, we introduce a new loss function aimed at reducing noise while preserving edges, which is essential for deep-sea content. We also release a newly collected dataset, Submerged3D, captured specifically in deep-sea environments. Experimental results demonstrate that our framework consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods with PSNR gains up to 1.90dB, delivering superior perceptual quality and robustness, and offering promising directions for marine robotics and underwater visual analytics. The code of RUSplatting is available at https://github.com/theflash987/RUSplatting and the dataset Submerged3D can be downloaded at https://zenodo.org/records/15482420.
