HyperCut: Fast Inter-Layer Scheduling via Directed Hypergraph and Early Filtering

As deep neural networks (DNNs) continue to scale, inter-layer scheduling, which orchestrates the spatial allocation of compute resources and the temporal execution order across layers, has become a decisive factor in sustaining high utilization and energy efficiency on tiled accelerators. However, existing inter-layer schedulers defer cost feedback until a complete fine-grained intra-layer scheduling has been resolved. The resulting decoupled flow repeatedly explores sub-optimal or even infeasible inter-layer schedules, and the absence of early pruning during the inter-layer phase remains a critical bottleneck for design-space exploration (DSE) in DNN compilers. Our key observation is that the cost of an intra-layer scheduling can be tightly upper-bounded once the inter-layer cut fixes the sub-mesh shape, which lets us cost every inter-layer candidate without solving the intra-layer problem. Hence, we propose a hierarchical partitioning-and-mapping framework, HyperCut, that enables early filtering of inter-layer schedules based on hypergraph partitioning. Based on the directed hypergraph (DHG) abstraction of DNN, we introduce a unified representation, State, that jointly encodes the DHG partition, tile mesh allocation and tensor batch splitting. Thereby, partitioning and mapping are coupled into a union optimization object. For a DNN with N layers, the resulting theoretical design space is bounded by O(N), compared with O(9.899^N) for the state-of-the-art open-source scheduler SET. Across 10 evaluated cases, HyperCut achieves 2.0x performance improvement and 80.47% exploration time reduction over the SET baseline, measured by geometric mean.

When Shared Rollouts Fail in Defensive Driving Evaluation: A NAVSIM Score Basis Audit

Defensive driving scores are useful only when they preserve distinctions between policies that observe surrounding actors and those that do not. Re-simulation benchmarks may use reference-conditioned forgiveness, under which an agent receives credit when the logged human reference fails a compliance channel. When agent and reference share an unstable rollout transformation, this rule can propagate shared reference failures into broad compliance credit. We audit this risk in NAVSIM v2.2 original scene single-stage scoring. Under the affected documented-stack condition on the audited numerical backend, the route-blind Ignore-All probe and a route-aware actor-blind probe outrank human replay and PDM-Closed over the complete 12,146-token navtest split. A fresh installation following the public specification reproduces rollout divergence on a fixed 32-token diagnostic set. A same-source dependency stack control and an exact-input diagnostic isolate dependency-sensitive numerical behavior in the shared velocity refit. On a 450-token control pool, replacing only the solver eliminates rollout divergence and restores blind-last ordering while keeping forgiveness enabled. Thus, the numerical instability is the direct trigger. Reference-conditioned forgiveness propagates the resulting shared reference failures into compliance credit. We contribute an audit protocol requiring score basis and stack disclosure, blind probes, overwrite reporting, and rollout stability tests before using such scores for defensive driving claims.

Real-Time Super-Resolution Imaging System Based on Zero-Shot Learning for Infrared Non-Destructive Testing

Infrared thermography (IRT) and photothermal coherence tomography (PCT) exhibit potential in non-destructive testing and biomedical fields. However, the inevitable heat diffusion significantly affects the sensitivity and resolution of IRT and PCT. Conventional image processing techniques rely on capturing complete thermal sequences, which limits their ability to achieve real-time processes. Here, we construct a real-time super-resolution imaging system based on zero-shot learning strategy for the non-invasive infrared thermography and photothermal coherence tomography techniques. To validate the feasibility and accuracy of this super-resolution imaging system, IRT systems were employed to test several industrial samples and one biomedical sample. The results demonstrated high contrast in the region of interest (ROI) and uncovered valuable information otherwise obscured by thermal diffusion. Furthermore, three-dimensional photothermal coherence tomography was used to validate the excellent denoising and deconvolution capabilities of the proposed real-time super-resolution imaging system.

Open-Sora 2.0: Training a Commercial-Level Video Generation Model in $200k

Video generation models have achieved remarkable progress in the past year. The quality of AI video continues to improve, but at the cost of larger model size, increased data quantity, and greater demand for training compute. In this report, we present Open-Sora 2.0, a commercial-level video generation model trained for only $200k. With this model, we demonstrate that the cost of training a top-performing video generation model is highly controllable. We detail all techniques that contribute to this efficiency breakthrough, including data curation, model architecture, training strategy, and system optimization. According to human evaluation results and VBench scores, Open-Sora 2.0 is comparable to global leading video generation models including the open-source HunyuanVideo and the closed-source Runway Gen-3 Alpha. By making Open-Sora 2.0 fully open-source, we aim to democratize access to advanced video generation technology, fostering broader innovation and creativity in content creation.
