Well-Posedness for SDEs with Logarithmical Critical Distributional Drifts

We study the stochastic differential equation $$d X_t=b(t,X_t)d t+\sqrt{2}d W_t$$ on $\mathbb R^d$, where $b$ is a time-dependent, divergence-free distributional drift of critical H\"older--Besov regularity $-1$, strengthened by an iterated-logarithmic correction. For every initial probability law, we construct a weak solution by smooth approximation and realize the singular drift as an additive functional. The main analytic ingredient is the Schauder estimate with a logarithmic smallness factor. Combined with uniform logarithmic Krylov estimates and a stochastic substitution formula for distributional test functions, this estimate allows us to apply a Zvonkin transformation and prove uniqueness in law among weak solutions satisfying the corresponding Krylov bounds. For solutions starting from deterministic points, we further show that their time-marginal distributions admit densities satisfying two-sided Aronson-type Gaussian estimates.

Quantitative Propagation of Chaos and Fluctuations for Kinetic McKean--Vlasov SDEs with Singular Interaction Kernels

We prove a quantitative propagation of chaos estimate and a central limit theorem for the particle system associated with a class of degenerate kinetic McKean--Vlasov SDEs with external drifts and singular interaction kernels in Kato's class. In particular, the interaction kernel can be in the mixed $L^q_tL^{p_v}_vL^{p_x}_x$-space, where $\frac2q+\frac{3d}{p_x}+\frac d{p_v}<1$. For the associated $N$-particle system, we obtain a path-space relative entropy bound of order $k/N$ for the first $k$ particles, assuming only entropic chaoticity of the initial data. The key ingredients are kinetic Krylov--Khasminskii estimates and a conditional Hilbert-space subgaussian estimate for empirical interaction fields. For the CLT, we also prove a Berry--Esseen-type bound for finite-dimensional projections.

Kinetic Fokker-Planck Equations with Nonlinear Diffusion

We study existence, regularity, and uniqueness for the nonlinear kinetic Fokker--Planck equation $$ \partial_t f=\Delta_v\Psi(f)-v\cdot\nabla_x f, \qquad f|_{t=0}=f_0, $$ on $\mathbb R^{2d}$. In the model case $\Psi(r)=r^s$, this equation couples nonlinear fast-diffusion/porous-medium type diffusion with kinetic transport. A distinctive feature is that the diffusion acts only in the velocity variable $v$, so that compactness in the spatial variable $x$ cannot be obtained from standard elliptic estimates and must instead be recovered through the hypoelliptic structure. Under general structural assumptions on $\Psi$, including the fast-diffusion powers $\Psi(r)=r^s$ with $s\in(0,1)$, we construct nonnegative weak solutions and prove quantitative anisotropic Besov regularity estimates. Under an additional mass-critical growth condition on the fast-diffusion side, the constructed weak solution preserves mass, admits a renormalized kinetic formulation, and is unique in the $L^1$-class of mass-preserving renormalized kinetic solutions. In the power-law case $\Psi(r)=r^s$, this condition is precisely $s\ge 1-1/d$ when $d\ge2$, while in dimension $d=1$ the whole fast-diffusion range $s\in(0,1)$ is covered. The main analytic ingredient is a parameter-dependent smoothing estimate for the kinetic semigroup generated by $$ \Psi'(\zeta)\Delta_v - v\cdot\nabla_x , $$ which quantitatively tracks the dependence on the kinetic level $\zeta$. Combined with the kinetic formulation, this estimate yields compactness in both spatial and velocity variables for the nonlinear hypoelliptic problem. As an application, we also obtain martingale-problem solutions to the associated distributional-density dependent stochastic differential equation.

Euler--Maruyama scheme for $\alpha$-stable SDE with distributional drift

In this paper, we consider a class of stochastic differential equations driven by symmetric non-degenerate $\alpha$-stable processes (including cylindrical ones) with $\alpha \in (1,2)$. We first establish a quantitative estimate for the Euler scheme under bounded drift $b(x)$, with an explicit dependence on $ \| b \|_{L^\infty}$. Then we obtain the weak convergence rates for the case where the drift coefficient belongs to a Besov space of negative order.

Weak approximation of kinetic SDEs: closing the criticality gap

We study the weak convergence of a generic tamed Euler-Maruyama scheme for kinetic stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with integrable drifts. We show that the marginal density of the considered scheme converges at rate 1/2 to the corresponding marginal density of the SDE. The convergence rate is independent from the criticality gap, which is new compared to previous results.

Kinetic Theory with Fluctuations: Well-Posedness of The Vlasov--Fokker--Planck--Dean--Kawasaki Equations

We study Vlasov--Fokker--Planck--Dean--Kawasaki equations driven by correlated conservative noise. For regular noise coefficients and bounded nonlocal interactions, we establish probabilistically strong existence and uniqueness in a renormalized kinetic framework. For the square-root coefficient, we treat the non-interacting case and construct a probabilistically weak solution. Key challenges stem from the complexity of the kinetic operator and the irregularity introduced by the conservative noise with square-root-type coefficients. The proof relies on a novel combination of kinetic semigroup estimates and the framework of renormalized kinetic solutions.

Kinetic SDEs with subcritical distributional drifts

In this paper we study the well-posedness of the kinetic stochastic differential equation (SDE) in $\mathbb R^{2d}(d\geq2)$ driven by Brownian motion: $$\mathord{{\rm d}} X_t=V_t\mathord{{\rm d}} t,\ \mathord{{\rm d}} V_t=b(t,X_t,V_t)\mathord{{\rm d}} t+\sqrt{2}\mathord{{\rm d}} W_t,$$ where the subcritical distribution-valued drift $b$ belongs to the weighted anisotropic H\"{o}lder space $\mathbb L_T^{q_b}\mathbf C_{\boldsymbol{a}}^{\alpha_b}(\rho_\kappa)$ with parameters $\alpha_b\in(-1,0)$, $q_b\in(\frac{2}{1+\alpha_b},\infty]$, $\kappa\in[0,1+\alpha_b)$ and $\div_v b$ is bounded. We establish the well-posedness of weak solutions to the associated integral equation: $$X_t=X_0+\int_0^t V_s\mathord{{\rm d}} s,\ V_t=V_0+\lim_{n\to\infty}\int_0^t b_n(s,X_s,V_s)\mathord{{\rm d}}+\sqrt{2}W_t,$$ where $b_n:=b*\Gamma_n$ denotes the mollification of $b$ and the limit is taken in the $L^2$-sense. As an application, we discuss examples of $b$ involving Gaussian random fields.

Quantitative approximation to density dependent SDEs driven by $\alpha$-stable processes

Based on a class of moderately interacting particle systems, we establish a quantitative approximation for density-dependent McKean-Vlasov SDEs and the corresponding nonlinear, nonlocal PDEs. The SDE is driven by both Brownian motion and pure-jump L\'evy processes. By employing Duhamel's formula, density estimates, and appropriate martingale functional inequalities, we derive precise convergence rates for the empirical measure of particle systems toward the law of the McKean-Vlasov SDE solution. Additionally, we quantify both weak and pathwise convergence between the one-marginal particle and the solution to the McKean-Vlasov SDE. Notably, all convergence rates remain independent of the noise type.

Supercritical McKean-Vlasov SDE driven by cylindrical $\alpha$-stable process

In this paper, we study the following supercritical McKean-Vlasov SDE, driven by a symmetric non-degenerate cylindrical $\alpha$-stable process in $\mathbb{R}^d$ with $\alpha \in (0,1)$: $$ \mathord{{\rm d}} X_t = (K * \mu_{t})(X_t)\mathord{{\rm d}}t + \mathord{{\rm d}} L_t^{(\alpha)}, \quad X_0 = x \in \mathbb{R}^d, $$ where $K: \mathbb{R}^d \to \mathbb{R}^d$ is a $\beta$-order H\"older continuous function, and $\mu_t$ represents the time marginal distribution of the solution $X$. We establish both strong and weak well-posedness under the conditions $\beta \in (1 - \alpha/2, 1)$ and $\beta \in (1 - \alpha, 1)$, respectively. Additionally, we demonstrate strong propagation of chaos for the associated interacting particle system, as well as the convergence of the corresponding Euler approximations. In particular, we prove a commutation property between the particle approximation and the Euler approximation.

Averaging principle for SDEs with singular drifts driven by $\alpha$-stable processes

In this paper, we investigate the convergence rate of the averaging principle for stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with $\beta$-H\"older drift driven by $\alpha$-stable processes. More specifically, we first derive the Schauder estimate for nonlocal partial differential equations (PDEs) associated with the aforementioned SDEs, within the framework of Besov-H\"older spaces. Then we consider the case where $(\alpha,\beta)\in(0,2)\times(1-\tfrac{\alpha}{2},1)$. Using the Schauder estimate, we establish the strong convergence rate for the averaging principle. In particular, under suitable conditions we obtain the optimal rate of strong convergence when $(\alpha,\beta)\in(\tfrac{2}{3},1]\times(2-\tfrac{3\alpha}{2},1)\cup(1,2)\times(\tfrac{\alpha}{2},1)$. Furthermore, when $(\alpha,\beta)\in(0,1]\times(1-\alpha,1-\tfrac{\alpha}{2}]\cup(1,2)\times(\tfrac{1-\alpha}{2},1-\tfrac{\alpha}{2}]$, we show the convergence of the martingale solutions of original systems to that of the averaged equation. When $\alpha\in(1,2)$, the drift can be a distribution.

Quantitative approximation of stochastic kinetic equations: from discrete to continuum

We study the convergence of a generic tamed Euler-Maruyama (EM) scheme for the kinetic type stochastic differential equations (SDEs) (also known as second order SDEs) with singular coefficients in both weak and strong probabilistic senses. We show that when the drift exhibits a relatively low regularity compared to the state of the art, the singular system is well-defined both in the weak and strong probabilistic senses. Meanwhile, the corresponding tamed EM scheme is shown to converge at the rate of 1/2 in both the weak and the strong senses.

Convergence rate of the Euler-Maruyama scheme to density dependent SDEs driven by $\alpha$-stable additive noise

In this paper, we establish the weak convergence rate of density-dependent stochastic differential equations with bounded drift driven by $\alpha$-stable processes with $\alpha\in(1,2)$. The well-posedness of these equations has been previously obtained in \cite{wu2023well}. We derive an explicit convergence rate in total variation for the Euler-Maruyama scheme, employing a technique rooted in \cite{hao2023}.

Distribution-flow dependent SDEs driven by (fractional) Brownian motion and Navier-Stokes equations

Motivated by the probabilistic representation for solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations, we introduce a novel class of stochastic differential equations that depend on the entire flow of its time marginals. We establish the existence and uniqueness of both strong and weak solutions under one-sided Lipschitz conditions and for singular drifts. These newly proposed distribution-flow dependent stochastic differential equations are closely connected to quasilinear backward Kolmogorov equations and Fokker-Planck equations. Furthermore, we investigate a stochastic version of the 2D-Navier-Stokes equation associated with fractional Brownian noise. We demonstrate the global well-posedness and smoothness of solutions when the Hurst parameter $H$ lies in the range $(0, \frac12)$ and the initial vorticity is a finite signed measure.

SDEs with supercritical distributional drifts

Let $d\geq 2$. In this paper, we investigate the following stochastic differential equation (SDE) in ${\mathbb R}^d$ driven by Brownian motion $$ {\rm d} X_t=b(t,X_t){\rm d} t+\sqrt{2}{\rm d} W_t, $$ where $b$ belongs to the space ${\mathbb L}_T^q \mathbf{H}_p^\alpha$ with $\alpha \in [-1, 0]$ and $p,q\in[2, \infty]$, which is a distribution-valued and divergence-free vector field. In the subcritical case $\frac dp+\frac 2q<1+\alpha$, we establish the existence and uniqueness of a weak solution to the integral equation: $$ X_t=X_0+\lim_{n\to\infty}\int^t_0b_n(s,X_s){\rm d} s+\sqrt{2} W_t. $$ Here, $b_n:=b*\phi_n$ represents the mollifying approximation, and the limit is taken in the $L^2$-sense. In the critical and supercritical case $1+\alpha\leq\frac dp+\frac 2q<2+\alpha$, assuming the initial distribution has an $L^2$-density, we show the existence of weak solutions and associated Markov processes. Moreover, under the additional assumption that $b=b_1+b_2+{\rm div} a$, where $b_1\in {\mathbb L}^\infty_T{\mathbf B}^{-1}_{\infty,2}$, $b_2\in {\mathbb L}^2_TL^2$, and $a$ is a bounded antisymmetric matrix-valued function, we establish the convergence of mollifying approximation solutions without the need to subtract a subsequence. To illustrate our results, we provide examples of Gaussian random fields and singular interacting particle systems, including the two-dimensional vortex models.

SDE driven by cylindrical $\alpha$-stable process with distributional drift

For $\alpha \in (1,2)$, we study the following stochastic differential equation driven by a non-degenerate symmetric $\alpha$-stable process in $\mathbb{R}^d$: \begin{align*} {\rm d} X_t=b(t,X_t){\mathord{{\rm d}}} t+\sigma(t,X_{t-}){\mathord{{\rm d}}} L_t^{(\alpha)},\ \ X_0 =x \in \mathbb{R}^d, \end{align*} where $b$ belongs to $ L^\infty(\mathbb{R}_+;\mathbf{C}^{-\beta}(\mathbb{R}^d))$ with some $\beta\in(0,\alpha-1)$, and $\mathbf{C}^\beta$ denotes a Besov space (see Definition (2.2) below). The coefficient $\sigma:\mathbb{R}_+\times \mathbb{R}^d \to \mathbb{R}^d \otimes \mathbb{R}^d$ is a measurable matrix-valued function. The noise $L_t^{(\alpha)}=(L_t^{(\alpha),1},...,L_t^{(\alpha),d})$ consists of independent $1$-dimensional symmetric $\alpha$-stable processes, and is referred to as a cylindrical $\alpha$-stable process. We establish the well-posedness of weak solutions to the SDE, and provide quantitative stability estimates with respect to the drift coefficients.

Second order fractional mean-field SDEs with singular kernels and measure initial data

In this paper we establish the local and global well-posedness of weak and strong solutions to second order fractional mean-field SDEs with singular/distribution interaction kernels and measure initial value, where the kernel can be Newton or Coulomb potential, Riesz potential, Biot-Savart law, etc. Moreover, we also show the stability, smoothness and the short time singularity and large time decay estimates of the distribution density. Our results reveal a phenomenon that for {\it nonlinear} mean-field equations, the regularity of the initial distribution could balance the singularity of the kernel. The precise relationship between the singularity of kernels and the regularity of initial values are calculated, which belongs to the subcritical regime in the scaling sense. In particular, our results provide a microscopic probabilistic explanation and establish a unified treatment for many physical models such as the fractional Vlasov-Poisson-Fokker-Planck system, the vorticity formulation of 2D-fractal Navier-Stokes equations, surface quasi-geostrophic models, fractional porous medium equation with viscosity, etc.
