Geometric properties of some generalized Mathieu power series inside the unit disk

We consider two parametric families of special functions: One is defined by a power series generalizing the classical Mathieu series, and the other one is a generalized Mathieu type power series involving factorials in its coefficients. Using criteria due to Fejer and Ozaki, we provide sufficient conditions for these functions to be close-to-convex or starlike inside the unit disk, and thus univalent.

Asymptotic expansion of Mathieu power series and trigonometric Mathieu series

We consider a generalized Mathieu series where the summands of the classical Mathieu series are multiplied by powers of a complex number. The Mellin transform of this series can be expressed by the polylogarithm or the Hurwitz zeta function. From this we derive a full asymptotic expansion, generalizing known expansions for alternating Mathieu series. Another asymptotic regime for trigonometric Mathieu series is also considered, to first order, by applying known results on the asymptotic behavior of trigonometric series.

Generalized diffusion-wave equation with memory kernel

We study generalized diffusion-wave equation in which the second order time derivative is replaced by integro-differential operator. It yields time fractional and distributed order time fractional diffusion-wave equations as particular cases. We consider different memory kernels of the integro-differential operator, derive corresponding fundamental solutions, specify the conditions of their non-negativity and calculate mean squared displacement for all cases. In particular, we introduce and study generalized diffusion-wave equations with regularized Prabhakar derivative of single and distributed orders. The equations considered can be used for modeling broad spectrum of anomalous diffusion processes and various transitions between different diffusion regimes.

On a certain extension of the Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative operator

The main aim of this present paper is to present a new extension of the fractional derivative operator by using the extension of Beta function recently defined by Shadab et al.[19]. Moreover, we establish some results related to the newly defined modified fractional derivative operator such as Mellin transform and relations to extended hypergeometric and Appell's function via generating functions.

Asymptotics of some generalized Mathieu series

We establish asymptotic estimates of Mathieu-type series defined by sequences with power-logarithmic or factorial behavior. By taking the Mellin transform, the problem is mapped to the singular behavior of certain Dirichlet series, which is then translated into asymptotics for the original series. In the case of power-logarithmic sequences, we obtain precise first order asymptotics. For factorial sequences, a natural boundary of the Mellin transform makes the problem more challenging, but a direct elementary estimate gives reasonably precise asymptotics.

On a new (p,q)-Mtahieu type power series and its applications

Our aim in this paper, is to establish certain new integrals for the the (p,q)-Mathieu--power series. In particular, we investigate the Mellin-Barnes type integral representations for a particular case of thus special function. Moreover, we introduce the notion of the (p,q)-Mittag-Leffler functions and we present a relationships between thus two functions. Some other applications are proved, in particular two Turán type inequalities for the (p,q)-Mathieu series are proved.

Some families of generalized Mathieu-type power series, associated probability distributions and related functional inequalities involving complete monotonicity and log-convexity

By making use of the familiar Mathieu series and its generalizations, the authors derive a number of new integral representations and present a systematic study of probability density functions and probability distributions associated with some generalizations of the Mathieu series. In particular, the mathematical expectation, variance and the characteristic functions, related to the probability density functions of the considered probability distributions are derived. As a consequence, some interesting inequalities involving complete monotonicity and log-convexity are derived.

Generalized distributed order diffusion equations with composite time fractional derivative

In this paper we investigate the solution of generalized distributed order diffusion equations with composite time fractional derivative by using the Fourier-Laplace transform method. We represent solutions in terms of infinite series in Fox $H$-functions. The fractional and second moments are derived by using Mittag-Leffler functions. We observe decelerating anomalous subdiffusion in case of two composite time fractional derivatives. Generalized uniformly distributed order diffusion equation, as a model for strong anomalous behavior, is analyzed by using Tauberian theorem. Some previously obtained results are special cases of those presented in this paper.

Some Properties of Prabhakar-type Fractional Calculus Operators

In this paper we study some properties of the Prabhakar integrals and derivatives and of some of their extensions such as the regularized Prabhakar derivative or the Hilfer--Prabhakar derivative. Some Opial- and Hardy-type inequalities are derived. In the last section we point out on some relationships with probability theory.

Fractional Helmholtz and fractional wave equations with Riesz-Feller and generalized Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives

The objective of this paper is to derive analytical solutions of fractional order Laplace, Poisson and Helmholtz equations in two variables derived from the corresponding standard equations in two dimensions by replacing the integer order partial derivatives with fractional Riesz-Feller derivative and generalized Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative recently defined by Hilfer. The Fourier-Laplace transform method is employed to obtain the solutions in terms of Mittag-Leffler functions, Fox $H$-function and an integral operator containing a Mittag-Leffler function in the kernel. Results for fractional wave equation are presented as well. Some interesting special cases of these equations are considered. Asymptotic behavior and series representation of solutions are analyzed in detail. Many previously obtained results can be derived as special cases of those presented in this paper.

Hilfer-Prabhakar Derivatives and Some Applications

We present a generalization of Hilfer derivatives in which Riemann--Liouville integrals are replaced by more general Prabhakar integrals. We analyze and discuss its properties. Further, we show some applications of these generalized Hilfer-Prabhakar derivatives in classical equations of mathematical physics, like the heat and the free electron laser equations, and in difference-differential equations governing the dynamics of generalized renewal stochastic processes.
