Radiative-Structured Neural Operator for Continuous Spectral Super-Resolution

Spectral super-resolution (SSR) aims to reconstruct hyperspectral images (HSIs) from multispectral observations, with broad applications in computer vision and remote sensing. Deep learning-based methods have been widely used, but they often treat spectra as discrete vectors learned from data, rather than continuous curves constrained by physics principles, leading to unrealistic predictions and limited applicability. To address this challenge, we propose the Radiative-Structured Neural Operator (RSNO), which learns a continuous mapping for spectral super-resolution while enforcing physical consistency under the radiative prior. The proposed RSNO consists of three stages: upsampling, reconstruction, and refinement. In the upsampling stage, we leverage prior information to expand the input multispectral image, producing a physically plausible hyperspectral estimate. Subsequently, we adopt a neural operator backbone in the reconstruction stage to learn a continuous mapping across the spectral domain. Finally, the refinement stage imposes a hard constraint on the output HSI to eliminate color distortion. The upsampling and refinement stages are implemented via the proposed angular-consistent projection (ACP), which is derived from a non-convex optimization problem. Moreover, we theoretically demonstrated the optimality of ACP by null-space decomposition. Various experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in both discrete and continuous spectral super-resolution.

Hyperspectral Image Generation with Unmixing Guided Diffusion Model

We address hyperspectral image (HSI) synthesis, a problem that has garnered growing interest yet remains constrained by the conditional generative paradigms that limit sample diversity. While diffusion models have emerged as a state-of-the-art solution for high-fidelity image generation, their direct extension from RGB to hyperspectral domains is challenged by the high spectral dimensionality and strict physical constraints inherent to HSIs. To overcome the challenges, we introduce a diffusion framework explicitly guided by hyperspectral unmixing. The approach integrates two collaborative components: (i) an unmixing autoencoder that projects generation from the image domain into a low-dimensional abundance manifold, thereby reducing computational burden while maintaining spectral fidelity; and (ii) an abundance diffusion process that enforces non-negativity and sum-to-one constraints, ensuring physical consistency of the synthesized data. We further propose two evaluation metrics tailored to hyperspectral characteristics. Comprehensive experiments, assessed with both conventional measures and the proposed metrics, demonstrate that our method produces HSIs with both high quality and diversity, advancing the state of the art in hyperspectral data generation.

AlignPxtr: Aligning Predicted Behavior Distributions for Bias-Free Video Recommendations

In video recommendation systems, user behaviors such as watch time, likes, and follows are commonly used to infer user interest. However, these behaviors are influenced by various biases, including duration bias, demographic biases, and content category biases, which obscure true user preferences. In this paper, we hypothesize that biases and user interest are independent of each other. Based on this assumption, we propose a novel method that aligns predicted behavior distributions across different bias conditions using quantile mapping, theoretically guaranteeing zero mutual information between bias variables and the true user interest. By explicitly modeling the conditional distributions of user behaviors under different biases and mapping these behaviors to quantiles, we effectively decouple user interest from the confounding effects of various biases. Our approach uniquely handles both continuous signals (e.g., watch time) and discrete signals (e.g., likes, comments), while simultaneously addressing multiple bias dimensions. Additionally, we introduce a computationally efficient mean alignment alternative technique for practical real-time inference in large-scale systems. We validate our method through online A/B testing on two major video platforms: Kuaishou Lite and Kuaishou. The results demonstrate significant improvements in user engagement and retention, with \textbf{cumulative lifts of 0.267\% and 0.115\% in active days, and 1.102\% and 0.131\% in average app usage time}, respectively. The results demonstrate that our approach consistently achieves significant improvements in long-term user retention and substantial gains in average app usage time across different platforms. Our core code will be publised at https://github.com/justopit/CQE.

DexCatch: Learning to Catch Arbitrary Objects with Dexterous Hands

Achieving human-like dexterous manipulation remains a crucial area of research in robotics. Current research focuses on improving the success rate of pick-and-place tasks. Compared with pick-and-place, throwing-catching behavior has the potential to increase the speed of transporting objects to their destination. However, dynamic dexterous manipulation poses a major challenge for stable control due to a large number of dynamic contacts. In this paper, we propose a Learning-based framework for Throwing-Catching tasks using dexterous hands (LTC). Our method, LTC, achieves a 73\% success rate across 45 scenarios (diverse hand poses and objects), and the learned policies demonstrate strong zero-shot transfer performance on unseen objects. Additionally, in tasks where the object in hand faces sideways, an extremely unstable scenario due to the lack of support from the palm, all baselines fail, while our method still achieves a success rate of over 60\%.

Disentangling the Spatial Structure and Style in Conditional VAE

This paper aims to disentangle the latent space in cVAE into the spatial structure and the style code, which are complementary to each other, with one of them $z_s$ being label relevant and the other $z_u$ irrelevant. The generator is built by a connected encoder-decoder and a label condition mapping network. Depending on whether the label is related with the spatial structure, the output $z_s$ from the condition mapping network is used either as a style code or a spatial structure code. The encoder provides the label irrelevant posterior from which $z_u$ is sampled. The decoder employs $z_s$ and $z_u$ in each layer by adaptive normalization like SPADE or AdaIN. Extensive experiments on two datasets with different types of labels show the effectiveness of our method.
