GeomVLA: Unifying Scene, Motion, and Action in 3D

We present GeomVLA, a Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model that unifies perception, latent scene motion prediction, and action generation within a shared robot-centric 3D coordinate frame. Our approach lifts pretrained VLM features into spatially grounded 3D scene tokens using depth and camera calibration, while retaining the semantic representations learned during VLM pretraining. We further introduce a 3D Scene Trajectory Denoiser, a task-conditioned module that learns a latent representation of how scene points are expected to move in 3D. Rather than executing the predicted trajectory as an open-loop plan, GeomVLA extracts intermediate motion tokens from the trajectory denoiser and uses them to condition a 3D flow-based action denoiser through geometry-aware attention. GeomVLA achieves state-of-the-art performance on CALVIN, competitive performance on LIBERO and RoboTwin2.0, and outperforms strong baselines in real-world manipulation settings without robot-action pretraining. Extensive ablations show that future-motion reasoning alone is insufficient: the primary gains are associated with maintaining geometric consistency among scene representation, motion prediction, and robot actions throughout the perception-to-action pipeline.

The unique control features of topological stochastic and quantum systems

Topological phases support edge states that can be robust to material deformations and other perturbations. While well-studied in quantum systems, topological phases have also been observed in stochastic and biochemical systems, yet it remains unclear which of their properties remain similar or different from those in quantum systems. In this paper, we derive analytical expressions for the spectral properties of simple quantum and stochastic models on the same lattice to rigorously characterize these complex systems. Intriguingly, we find that non-reciprocity moves states away from the steady-state in stochastic systems while clustering states at zero-energy in quantum systems. In contrast, making the system more topological does the opposite: it clusters more states around the steady-state in stochastic systems but moves states away from the zero-energy state in quantum systems. These results provide control parameters for selection and modulation of different purposes while quantifying the size of gap which protects the longest-lived states. Lastly, we discover a mode unique to stochastic systems that we dub the topologically emerging state, which persists across different models and dimensions, including in the presence of non-equilibrium currents.

Ag2x2: Robust Agent-Agnostic Visual Representations for Zero-Shot Bimanual Manipulation

Bimanual manipulation, fundamental to human daily activities, remains a challenging task due to its inherent complexity of coordinated control. Recent advances have enabled zero-shot learning of single-arm manipulation skills through agent-agnostic visual representations derived from human videos; however, these methods overlook crucial agent-specific information necessary for bimanual coordination, such as end-effector positions. We propose Ag2x2, a computational framework for bimanual manipulation through coordination-aware visual representations that jointly encode object states and hand motion patterns while maintaining agent-agnosticism. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Ag2x2 achieves a 73.5% success rate across 13 diverse bimanual tasks from Bi-DexHands and PerAct2, including challenging scenarios with deformable objects like ropes. This performance outperforms baseline methods and even surpasses the success rate of policies trained with expert-engineered rewards. Furthermore, we show that representations learned through Ag2x2 can be effectively leveraged for imitation learning, establishing a scalable pipeline for skill acquisition without expert supervision. By maintaining robust performance across diverse tasks without human demonstrations or engineered rewards, Ag2x2 represents a step toward scalable learning of complex bimanual robotic skills.

Adaptive Energy Regularization for Autonomous Gait Transition and Energy-Efficient Quadruped Locomotion

In reinforcement learning for legged robot locomotion, crafting effective reward strategies is crucial. Pre-defined gait patterns and complex reward systems are widely used to stabilize policy training. Drawing from the natural locomotion behaviors of humans and animals, which adapt their gaits to minimize energy consumption, we propose a simplified, energy-centric reward strategy to foster the development of energy-efficient locomotion across various speeds in quadruped robots. By implementing an adaptive energy reward function and adjusting the weights based on velocity, we demonstrate that our approach enables ANYmal-C and Unitree Go1 robots to autonomously select appropriate gaits, such as four-beat walking at lower speeds and trotting at higher speeds, resulting in improved energy efficiency and stable velocity tracking compared to previous methods using complex reward designs and prior gait knowledge. The effectiveness of our policy is validated through simulations in the IsaacGym simulation environment and on real robots, demonstrating its potential to facilitate stable and adaptive locomotion.
