SUPERChem: A Multimodal Reasoning Benchmark in Chemistry

Current benchmarks for evaluating the chemical reasoning capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) are limited by oversimplified tasks, lack of process-level evaluation, and misalignment with expert-level chemistry skills. To address these issues, we introduce SUPERChem, a benchmark of 500 expert-curated reasoning-intensive chemistry problems, covering diverse subfields and provided in both multimodal and text-only formats. Original content and an iterative curation pipeline eliminate flawed items and mitigate data contamination. Each problem is paired with an expert-authored solution path, enabling Reasoning Path Fidelity (RPF) scoring to evaluate reasoning quality beyond final-answer accuracy. Evaluations against a human baseline of 40.3% accuracy show that even the best-performing model, GPT-5 (High), reaches only 38.5%, followed closely by Gemini 2.5 Pro (37.9%) and DeepSeek-V3.1-Think (37.3%). SUPERChem elicits multi-step, multimodal reasoning, reveals model-dependent effects of visual information, and distinguishes high-fidelity reasoners from heuristic ones. By providing a challenging benchmark and a reliable evaluation framework, SUPERChem aims to facilitate the advancement of LLMs toward expert-level chemical intelligence. The dataset of the benchmark is available at https://huggingface.co/datasets/ZehuaZhao/SUPERChem.

VistaScenario: Interaction Scenario Engineering for Vehicles with Intelligent Systems for Transport Automation

Intelligent vehicles and autonomous driving systems rely on scenario engineering for intelligence and index (I&I), calibration and certification (C&C), and verification and validation (V&V). To extract and index scenarios, various vehicle interactions are worthy of much attention, and deserve refined descriptions and labels. However, existing methods cannot cope well with the problem of scenario classification and labeling with vehicle interactions as the core. In this paper, we propose VistaScenario framework to conduct interaction scenario engineering for vehicles with intelligent systems for transport automation. Based on the summarized basic types of vehicle interactions, we slice scenario data stream into a series of segments via spatiotemporal scenario evolution tree. We also propose the scenario metric Graph-DTW based on Graph Computation Tree and Dynamic Time Warping to conduct refined scenario comparison and labeling. The extreme interaction scenarios and corner cases can be efficiently filtered and extracted. Moreover, with naturalistic scenario datasets, testing examples on trajectory prediction model demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of our framework. VistaScenario can provide solid support for the usage and indexing of scenario data, further promote the development of intelligent vehicles and transport automation.

A General Model of Vehicle Routing Guidance Systems based on Distributive Learning Scheme

Dynamic traffic assignment and vehicle route guidance have been important problems in ITS for some time. This paper proposes a new model for VRGS, which takes into consideration of the information propagation, user selection and information reaction. Parameter p is then defined as the updating weight for computing cost of traffic based on a distributive learning scheme. p is calculated through a function which denotes information propagation over time and space and the function needs further optimization. Comparison to static traffic assignment, DTA and feasible strategies are given, and future work is also stated.
