The significance of the Schott energy for the conservation of energy of a radiating charge

It is demonstrated that energy is conserved during runaway motion of a radiating charge, and during free fall of a charge in a field of gravity. The decisive role of the Schott energy in this connection is made clear. Also it is pointed out that a proton and a neutron fall with the same acceleration in a uniform gravitational field although the proton radiates and the neutron does not.

Potential energy of atmospheric water vapor and the air motions induced by water vapor condensation on different spatial scales

Basic physical principles are considered that are responsible for the origin of dynamic air flow upon condensation of water vapor, the partial pressure of which represents a store of potential energy in the atmosphere of Earth. Quantitative characteristics of such flow are presented for several spatial scales. It is shown that maximum condensation-induced velocities reach 160 m/s and are realized in compact circulation patterns like tornadoes.

LHC card games: bringing about retrocausality?

The model of Nielsen and Ninomiya claims that "the SSC (Superconducting Supercollider) were stopped by the US Congress due to the backward causation from the big amounts of Higgs particles, which it would have produced, if it had been allowed to run". They also proposed to play a card game and if the "close LHC" card is drawn (with probability $\sim 10^{-6}$), really close LHC on the eve of Higgs particle discovery to avoid more severe bad luck. Crazy? Probably. But paraphrasing Salvador Dali, if you believe that you and me are smarter in physics than Nielsen and Ninomiya, don't read this article, just go right on in your blissful idiocy. Therefore, I will try to make sense of backward causation. It turns out that not only the backward causation makes perfect sense in some models of possible reality, but that Nielsen and Ninomiya really have a chance to close LHC by a card game. The only thing they need is to be smart enough to manage to develop their theory up to the level of brilliance beginning from which it becomes a part of the fabric of reality. We hope, however, that they will use their outstanding abilities to bring about some more interesting future.

Scattering of nucleons on cold-dark-matter particles through photonic portal

In the model of hidden sector proposed recently, protons and neutrons scatter differently on cold-dark-matter particles. First, we summarize briefly our model based on a mechanism of "photonic portal" between hidden and Standard-Model sectors of the Universe. Then, we calculate in an elementary way the differential cross-sections for scattering of protons and neutrons on sterile Dirac fermions ("sterinos") playing the role of cold-dark-matter particles. They interact with nucleons through the photonic portal in a somewhat involved but natural manner. Due to this portal, the differential cross-section for protons displays a Coulomb-like forward singularity.

Notes On The Klein-Gordon Equation

In this article, we derive the scalar parametrized Klein-Gordon equation from the formal information theory framework. The least biased probability distribution is obtained, and the scalar equation is recast in terms of a Fokker-Planck equation in terms of the imaginary time, or a Schroedinger equation for the proper time. This method yields the Green's function parametrized by an evolution parameter. The derivation can then allow the use of potentials as constraints along with the Hamiltonian or moments of the evolution. The information theoretic, analogously the maximum entropy method, also allows one to examine the possibility of utilizing generalized and non-extensive statistics in the derivation. This approach yields non-linear evolution in the parametrized Klein-Gordon partial differential equations. Furthermore, we examine the Klein-Gordon equation in curved space-time, and we compare our results to the results of Schwinger and Dewitt obtained from path integral approaches.

Does The Cosmological Constant Problem Exist?

We first give simple arguments in favor of the "Zero Constants Party", i.e. that quantum theory should not contain fundamental dimensionful constants at all. Then we argue that quantum theory should proceed not from a space-time background but from a Lie algebra, which is treated as a symmetry algebra. With such a formulation of symmetry, the fact that $Λ\neq 0$ means not that the space-time background is curved (since the notion of the space-time background is not physical) but that the symmetry algebra is the de Sitter algebra rather than the Poincare one. In particular, there is no need to involve dark energy or other fields for explaining this fact. As a consequence, instead of the cosmological constant problem we have a problem why nowadays Poincare symmetry is so good approximate symmetry. This is rather a problem of cosmology but not fundamental quantum physics.

Holographic position uncertainty and the quantum-classical transition

Arguments based on general principles of quantum mechanics have suggested that a minimum length associated with Planck-scale unification may in the context of the holographic principle entail a new kind of observable uncertainty in the transverse position of macroscopically separated objects. Here, we address potential implications of such a position uncertainty for establishing an additional threshold between quantum and classical behavior.

Bonding distances as Exact Sums of the Radii of the Constituent Atoms in Nanomaterials - Boron Nitride and Coronene

This paper presents for the first time the exact structures at the atomic level of two important nanomaterials, boron nitride and coronene. Both these compounds are hexagonal layer structures similar to graphene in two dimensions and to graphite in three-dimensions. However, they have very different properties: whereas graphene is a conductor, h-BN is an electrical insulator and coronene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon of cosmological interest. The atomic structures presented here for boron nitride, coronene and graphene have been drawn to scale based on bond lengths as sums of the atomic radii.

Some Comments on sampling of ergodic process, an Ergodic theorem and turbulent pressure fluctuations

We present a new proof of an Ergodic theorem for Wide-Sense Stationary Random Processes added with a new canonical sampling theorem of mine for finite time duration signals in the frequency domain (periodograms) which is free from the Nyquist interval restriction. We point out the usefulness of such theorem in the context of a model of random vibrations transmission (pressure-explosive fluctuations).Replacement due to inadvertent and wrong acknowledgments

Completely local interpretation of quantum field theory

The purpose of this paper is to come up with a framework that "converts" existing concepts from configuration space to ordinary one. This is done by modeling our universe as a big "computer" that simulates configuration space. If that "computer" exists in ordinary space and is ran by "classical" laws, our theory becomes "classical" by default. We have first applied this concept to a version of quantum field theory in which elementary particles have size (that is, a theory that does not yet exists). After that, we have also done the same with Pilot Wave model of discrete jumps, due to Dürr et el.

An approach to the formalism of the Standard Model of Particle Physics

So far, the Standard Model of particle physics (SM) describes the phenomenology observed in high energy physics. In the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is expected to find the Higgs boson, which is an essential part of SM; also expects to see new particles or deviations from the SM, which would be evidence of other truly fundamental theory. Consequently, a clear understanding of the SM and, in general, quantum field theory is of great importance for particle physics, however, students face a formalism and a set of concepts with which they are unfamiliar. This paper shows how to make an approach to SM to introduce students to the formalism and some fundamental concepts.

The Information as Absolute -- 2022 ed

This article presents and grounds (i.e. presents proof of the existence, the truth, the self-consistence and the completeness of) the informational concept ("the Information as Absolute" concept) in philosophy and sciences, which was developing from 2007 year till now. The concept defines the Information as ultimately common, real and fundamental "absolute" phenomenon, which exists as absolutely infinite set ("Information" Set) of elements (members) and informational (e.g., logical) links between the elements; where any element itself is some informational structure also. Correspondingly, for example, Matter as the substance, radiation, etc., is some system of informational patterns, constituting a specific, and practically infinitesimal comparing to the Set, element "Matter" of the "Information" Set. The concept allows for the resolution, or at least for a consideration on a higher level of rational comprehension, of basic ontological and epistemological problems in philosophy and natural sciences; it clarifies basic fundamental notions such as space, time, energy, etc., and so is the fundamental base for real development of science.

Schroedinger's Cat is not Alone

We introduce the `Complete Wave Function' and deduce that all living beings, not just Schroedinger's cat, are actually described by a superposition of `alive' and `dead' quantum states; otherwise they would never die. Therefore this proposal provides a quantum mechanical explanation to the world-wide observation that we all pass away. Next we consider the Measurement problem in the framework of M-theory. For this purpose, together with Schroedinger's cat we also place inside the box Rasputin's cat, which is unaffected by poison. We analyse the system identifying its excitations (catons and catinos) and we discuss its evolution: either to a classical fight or to a quantum entanglement. We also propose the $BSVΨ$ scenario, which implements the Complete Wave Function as well as the Big Bang and the String Landscape in a very (super)natural way. Then we test the gravitational decoherence of the entangled system applying an experimental setting due to Galileo. We also discuss the Information Loss paradox. For this purpose we consider a massless black cat falling inside a massive black hole. After that we outline a method to compute the contribution of black cats to the dark matter of the universe. Finally, in the spirit of Schroedinger, we propose that next generation double-slit experiments should use cats as projectiles. Cat interferometry will inevitably lead to the `Many Cats' interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, allowing to shed new light on old mysteries and paradoxes. For example, according to this interpretation, conservative estimates show that decision making of a single domestic cat will create about 550 billion whole universes every day, with as many replicas of itself.
