Concerning the searches for Higgs bosons

The great successes achieved by the Standard Model(SM) lead us to believe the existence of the Higgs particle. On the other hand, there are many evidences indicate that some unknown dark matter particle must exist in our universe. To identify the Higgs boson as the dark matter particle is difficult in the present SM, the challenge is: the Higgs particle is unstable while the dark matter particle is stable. A solution of this problem is proposed in this paper. We will describe a model in which almost all the predictions made by the present SM remain unchanged but leave two neutral stable Higgs particles, which may be the dark matter particle. Some possible experimental tests of Higgs particle are also suggested in this paper.

Comment on " Topological phase in two flavor neutrino oscillations"

We critically analyze the claims with regard to the relevance of topological phases in the physics of neutrino oscillation made in a recent paper [Phys. Rev. D 79, 096013 (2009)] and point out some inappropriate exaggerations and misleading statements. We find that the $π$ phase described in this paper, while interesting, is an artefact of two major approximations made in the paper. We point out a more robust and more familiar $π$ phase in the neutrino oscillation formulae which can be interpreted as a pure Pancharatnam phase. We also make some relevant remarks on the distinction between the geometric and the topological phase made in the commented paper.

Total transmission and total reflection by zero index materials

In this report, we achieved total transmission and reflection in a slab of zero index materials with defect(s). By controlling the defect's radius and dielectric constant, we can obtain total transmission and reflection of EM wave. The zero index materials, in this report, stand for materials with permittivity and permeability which are simultaneously equal to zero or so called matched impedance zero index materials. Along with theoretical calculations and simulation demonstrations, we also discuss about some possible applications for the proposed structure such as shielding or cloaking an object without restricting its view. We also suggest a way to control total transmission and reflection actively by using tunable refractive index materials such as liquid crystal and BST. The physics behind those phenomena is attributed to intrinsic properties of zero index materials: constant field inside zero index slab.

Circuit Design Methods for Quantum Separator (QS) and Systems to Use Its Output

The underlying dynamics (\partialtψ=iHψ) of quantum electrodynamics are symmetric with respect to time (T and CPT), but traditional calculations and designs in electronics and electromagnetics impose an observer formalism or causality constraints which assume a gross asymmetry between forwards time and backwards time. In 2008, I published a paper in the International Journal of Theoretical Physics (see arXiv:0801.1234) which describes how to construct physics based on the dynamics alone, without these extraneous assumptions. It pointed out that this changes certain predictions of physics in a testable way, and that evidence from experiment favors the new and simpler versions of quantum theory. This disclosure follows up on that paper, by describing methods for circuit design based on the new physics. It provides a striking example - how to design a quantum separator (QS), which separates out the eigenfunctions which supply ordinary time-forwards free energy from the time-inverted eigenfunctions, when the QS is connected to bidirectional power supplies now under development in several places.

Note on the classical solutions of Friedmann's equation

Graphical representations of classical Friedmann's models are often misleading when one considers the age of the universe. Most textbooks disregard conceptual differences in the representations, as far as ages are concerned. We discuss the details of the scale-factor versus time function for Friedmann's solutions in the time range that includes the ages of model universes.

Intrinsic Lorentz violation in Doppler effect from a moving point light source

Einstein's Doppler formula is not applicable when a moving point light source is close enough to the observer; for example, it may break down or cannot specify a determinate value when the point source and the observer overlap. In this paper, Doppler effect for a moving point light source is analyzed, and it is found that the principle of relativity allows the existence of intrinsic Lorentz violation. A conceptual scheme to experimentally test the point-source Doppler effect is proposed, and such a test could lead to an unexpected result that the frequency of a photon may change during propagation, which questions the constancy of Planck constant since the energy conservation in Einstein's light-quantum hypothesis must hold.

Solution of the Dark Matter Problem in the Frame of the Non-Local Physics

The unified generalized non-local quantum kinetic and hydrodynamic theory is applied for mathematical modeling of objects in the giant scale diapason from the galaxy and Universe scale to atom structures. The principle of universal antigravitation is considered from positions of the Newtonian theory of gravitation and non-local kinetic theory. It is found that explanation of Hubble effect in the Universe and peculiar features of the rotational speeds of galaxies need not in introduction of new essence like dark matter and dark energy. The origin of difficulties consists in total Oversimplification following from principles of local physics and reflects the general shortcomings of the local kinetic transport theory.

On the electric and magnetic properties of conductors

Application of the generalized continuity equation reveals that the drift current in conductors is equivalent to a negative diffusion current. A phenomenological model of conductivity is developed using the generalized continuity equations. Consequently, a limiting conductivity is obtained that amounts to $1.09\times \,10^9\,Ω^{-1}m^{-1}$. A magnetomotive force (current) is hypothesized to exist, which is exhibited when a voltage changes with time. Magnetic charges and currents are found to be related to displacement current.

On EPR Paradox, No Entanglement Theorem for Separate Particles and Consequences

EPR paper contains an error. Its correction leads to a conclusion that position and momentum of a particle can be defined precisely simultaneously, EPR paradox does not exist and uncertainty relations have nothing to do with quantum mechanics. Logic of the EPR paper shows that entangled states of separated particles do not exist and therefore there are no nonlocality in quantum mechanics. Bell's inequalities are never violated, and results of experiments, proving their violation, are shown to be false. Experiments to prove absence of nonlocality are proposed where Bell's inequalities are replaced by precise prediction. Interpretation of quantum mechanics in terms of classical field theory is suggested. Censorship against this paper is demonstrated.

Qualitative remarks on some non-linear aspects of the radio-pulsar magnetosphere

In the class of the submodels SCLF (space-charge limited flow) of the family of "gap-plus-PPF" models, let us exposes some qualitative remarks on the possible turbulent dynamics showed by the zone (II) (see Fig. 1 of the text) of the acceleration zone of the "direct inner gap". Furthermore, we will discuss some consequent physical implications (as, for instance, self-focussing phenomena, Petviashvili's diamagnetism, and so on) concerning structure and physical phenomenology of the remaining subzones (above the subzone (II)) of the given acceleration zone, in connection with possible models for the external solid crust of the radio-pulsar.

A Causal Net Approach to Relativistic Quantum Mechanics

In this paper we discuss a causal network approach to describing relativistic quantum mechanics. Each vertex on the causal net represents a possible point event or particle observation. By constructing the simplest causal net based on Reichenbach-like conjunctive forks in proper time we can exactly derive the 1+1 dimension Dirac equation for a relativistic fermion and correctly model quantum mechanical statistics. Symmetries of the net provide various quantum mechanical effects such as quantum uncertainty and wavefunction, phase, spin, negative energy states and the effect of a potential. The causal net can be embedded in 3+1 dimensions and is consistent with the conventional Dirac equation. In the low velocity limit the causal net approximates to the Schrodinger equation and Pauli equation for an electromagnetic field. Extending to different momentum states the net is compatible with the Feynman path integral approach to quantum mechanics that allows calculation of well known quantum phenomena such as diffraction.

Relationship between exponent of power-law distributions and exponent of cumulative distributions

We commented on Ref.[Andrade J S, Herrmann H J, Andrade R F S, et al. Phys. Rev. Lett. 94, 018702 (2005)] and corrected the approach to estimate the degree distribution of the Apollonian network. However, after reading our manuscript, Herrmann indicated that it was due to a small typographic error and Herrmann et al. published Ref. [Andrade J S, Herrmann H J, Andrade R F S, et al. Phys. Rev. Lett. 102, 079901 (2009)]. In this paper, the relationship between an exponent of power-law distributions and the exponent of cumulative distributions is studied. For power-law distribution with geometrically growing domain, we prove that its exponent is equal to the exponent of its cumulative distribution. We carried out numerical simulations and obtain results that are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.

Existence of Antiparticles as an Indication of Finiteness of Nature

It is shown that in a quantum theory over a Galois field, the famous Dirac's result about antiparticles is generalized such that a particle and its antiparticle are already combined at the level of irreducible representations of the symmetry algebra without assuming the existence of a local covariant equation. We argue that the very existence of antiparticles is a strong indication that nature is described by a finite field rather than by complex numbers.

Noise-based deterministic logic and computing: a brief survey

A short survey is provided about our recent explorations of the young topic of noise-based logic. After outlining the motivation behind noise-based computation schemes, we present a short summary of our ongoing efforts in the introduction, development and design of several noise-based deterministic multivalued logic schemes and elements. In particular, we describe classical, instantaneous, continuum, spike and random-telegraph-signal based schemes with applications such as circuits that emulate the brain's functioning and string verification via a slow communication channel.

Consequences from conservation of the total density of the universe during the expansion

The recent Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) experiments have shown that the average density of the universe is close to the critical one and the universe is asymptotically flat (Euclidean). Taking into account that the universe remains flat and the total density of the universe $Ω_{0}$ is conserved equal to a unit during the cosmological expansion, the Schwarzschild radius of the observable universe has been determined equal to the Hubble distance $R_{s}=2GM/c^{2}=R\sim c/H$, where M is the mass of the observable universe, R is the Hubble distance and H is the Hubble constant. Besides, it has been shown that the speed of the light c appears the parabolic velocity for the observable universe $c=\sqrt{2GM/R}=v_{p}$ and the recessional velocity $v_{r}=Hr$ of an arbitrary galaxy at a distance r > 100 Mps from the observer, is equal to the parabolic velocity for the sphere, having radius r and a centre, coinciding with the observer. The requirement for conservation of $Ω_{0}=1$ during the expansion enables to derive the Hoyle-Carvalho formula for the mass of the observable universe $M=c^{3}/(2GH)$ by a new approach. Key words: flat universe; critical density of the universe; Schwarzschild radius; mass of the universe; parabolic velocity

The critical temperature of superconductor and its electronic specific heat

It is shown that the critical temperature of the superconductor is related to the Sommerfeld constant, i.e. it is determined by the Fermi energy for I-type superconductors. The estimation of properties of II-type superconductors reveals a somewhat different relation of critical temperature and Fermi energy. Among the high-temperature superconducting ceramics there are the both - I and II - types superconductors.

New Understandings of Quantum Mechanics Based on Interaction

The interaction between two parts in a compound quantum system may be reconsidered more completely than before and some new understandings and conclusions different from current quantum mechanics are obtained, including the conservation law in the evolution in an isolated quantum system, new understandings of duality of particle and wave and the superposition principle of states, three laws corresponding to Newton's laws, new understandings of measurement and the uncertainty relation, arguments against the non-locality of any entangled state and a simple criterion of coherence which is obtained for the experimenter to examine the correctness of the non-locality. These may make quantum mechanics be easily understood intuitively and some strange properties will not appear.
