Quantum Heisenberg--Weyl Algebras

All Lie bialgebra structures on the Heisenberg--Weyl algebra $[A_+,A_-]=M$ are classified and explicitly quantized. The complete list of quantum Heisenberg--Weyl algebras so obtained includes new multiparameter deformations, most of them being of the non-coboundary type.

Noncommutative Geometry of the h-deformed Quantum Plane

The $h$-deformed quantum plane is a counterpart of the $q$-deformed one in the set of quantum planes which are covariant under those quantum deformations of GL(2) which admit a central determinant. We have investigated the noncommutative geometry of the $h$-deformed quantum plane. There is a 2-parameter family of torsion-free linear connections, a 1-parameter sub-family of which are compatible with a skew-symmetric non-degenerate bilinear map. The skew-symmetric map resembles a symplectic 2-form and induces a metric. It is also shown that the extended $h$-deformed quantum plane is a noncommutative version of the Poincaré half-plane, a surface of constant negative Gaussian curvature.

Quantum Lorentz and braided Poincare groups

Quantum Lorentz groups H admitting quantum Minkowski space V are selected. Natural structure of a quantum space G = V x H is introduced, defining a quantum group structure on G only for triangular H (q=1). We show that it defines a braided quantum group structure on G for |q|=1.

Classification of the quantum deformation of the superalgebra $GL(1|1)$

We present a classification of the possible quantum deformations of the supergroup $GL(1|1)$ and its Lie superalgebra $gl(1|1)$. In each case, the (super)commutation relations and the Hopf structures are explicitly computed. For each $R$ matrix, one finds two inequivalent coproducts whether one chooses an unbraided or a braided framework while the corresponding structures are isomorphic as algebras. In the braided case, one recovers the classical algebra $gl(1|1)$ for suitable limits of the deformation parameters but this is no longer true in the unbraided case.

Dynamically twisted algebra $A_{q,p;\hatπ}(\hat{gl_2})$ as current algebra generalizing screening currents of q-deformed Virasoro algebra

In this paper, we propose an elliptic algebra $A_{q,p;\hatπ}(\hat{gl_2})$ which is based on the relations $RLL=LLR^{*}$, where $R$ and $R^{*}$ are the dynamical R-maxtrices of $A^{(1)}_{1}$ type face model with the elliptic moduli shifted by the center of the algebra. From the Ding-Frenkel correspondence, we find that its corresponding (Drinfeld) current algebra at level one is the algebra of screening currents for q-deformed Virasoro algebra. We realize the elliptic algebra at level one by Miki's construction from the bosonization for the type I and type II vertex operators. We also show that the algebra $A_{q,p;\hatπ}(\hat{gl_2})$ is related with the algebra $A_{q,p}(\hat{gl_2})$ by a dynamically twisting.

Green Function on the q-Symmetric Space SU_q(2)/U(1)

Following the introduction of the invariant distance on the non-commutative C-algebra of the quantum group SU_q(2), the Green function and the Kernel on the q-homogeneous space M=SU(2)_q/U(1) are derived. A path integration is formulated. Green function for the free massive scalar field on the non-commutative Einstein space R^1xM is presented.

Twist Deformation of the rank one Lie Superalgebra

The Drinfeld twist is applyed to deforme the rank one orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $osp(1|2)$. The twist element is the same as for the $sl(2)$ Lie algebra due to the embedding of the $sl(2)$ into the superalgebra $osp(1|2)$. The R-matrix has the direct sum structure in the irreducible representations of $osp(1|2)$. The dual quantum group is defined using the FRT-formalism. It includes the Jordanian quantum group $SL_ξ(2)$ as subalgebra and Grassmann generators as well.

Representations and Clebsch-Gordan coefficients for the Jordanian quantum algebra U_h(sl(2))

Representation theory for the Jordanian quantum algebra $U=U_h(sl(2))$ is developed. Closed form expressions are given for the action of the generators of U on the basis vectors of finite dimensional irreducible representations. It is shown how representation theory of U has a close connection to combinatorial identities involving summation formulas. A general formula is obtained for the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients $C^{j_1,j_2,j}_{n_1,n_2,m}(h)$ of U. These Clebsch-Gordan coefficients are shown to coincide with those of su(2) for $n_1+n_2 \leq m$, but for $n_1+n_2 > m$ they are in general a nonzero monomial in $h^{n_1+n_2-m}$.

Noncommutative analogues of q-special polynomials and q-integral on a quantum sphere

The q-Legendre polynomials can be treated as some special "functions in the quantum double cosets $U(1)\setminus SU_q(2)/U(1)$". They form a family (depending on a parameter $q$) of polynomials in one variable. We get their further generalization by introducing a two parameter family of polynomials. If the former family arises from an algebra which is in a sense "q-commutative", the latter one is related to its noncommutative counterpart. We introduce also a two parameter deformation of the invariant integral on a sphere.

The structure of quantum Lie algebras for the classical series B_l, C_l and D_l

The structure constants of quantum Lie algebras depend on a quantum deformation parameter q and they reduce to the classical structure constants of a Lie algebra at $q=1$. We explain the relationship between the structure constants of quantum Lie algebras and quantum Clebsch-Gordan coefficients for adjoint x adjoint ---> adjoint. We present a practical method for the determination of these quantum Clebsch-Gordan coefficients and are thus able to give explicit expressions for the structure constants of the quantum Lie algebras associated to the classical Lie algebras B_l, C_l and D_l. In the quantum case also the structure constants of the Cartan subalgebra are non-zero and we observe that they are determined in terms of the simple quantum roots. We introduce an invariant Killing form on the quantum Lie algebras and find that it takes values which are simple q-deformations of the classical ones.

Hecke algebras as subalgebras of Clifford geometric algebras of multivectors

Clifford geometric algebras of multivectors are introduced which exhibit a bilinear form which is not necessarily symmetric. Looking at a subset of bi-vectors in CL(K^{2n},B), we proof that theses elements generate the Hecke algebra H_{K}(n+1,q) if the bilinear form B is chosen appropriately. This shows, that q-quantization can be generated by Clifford multivector objects which describe usually composite entities. This contrasts current approaches which give deformed versions of Clifford algebras by deforming the one-vector variables. Our example shows, that it is not evident from a mathematical point of view, that q-deformation is in any sense more elementary than the undeformed structure.

On the Witten-Reshetikhin-Turaev representations of mapping class groups

We consider a central extension of the mapping class group of a surface with a collection of framed colored points. The Witten-Reshetikhin-Turaev TQFTs associated to SU(2) and SO(3) induce linear representations of this group. We show that the denominators of matrices which describe these representation over a cyclotomic field can be restricted in many cases. In this way, we give a proof of the known result that if the surface is a torus and there are no colored points, the representations have finite image.

Universal Superpositions of Coherent States and Self-Similar Potentials

A variety of coherent states of the harmonic oscillator is considered. It is formed by a particular superposition of canonical coherent states. In the simplest case, these superpositions are eigenfunctions of the annihilation operator $A=P(d/dx+x)/\sqrt2$, where $P$ is the parity operator. Such $A$ arises naturally in the $q\to -1$ limit for a symmetry operator of a specific self-similar potential obeying the $q$-Weyl algebra, $AA^\dagger-q^2A^\dagger A=1$. Coherent states for this and other reflectionless potentials whose discrete spectra consist of $N$ geometric series are analyzed. In the harmonic oscillator limit the surviving part of these states takes the form of orthonormal superpositions of $N$ canonical coherent states $|ε^kα\rangle$, $k=0, 1, \dots, N-1$, where $ε$ is a primitive $N$th root of unity, $ε^N=1$. A class of $q$-coherent states related to the bilateral $q$-hypergeometric series and Ramanujan type integrals is described. It includes a curious set of coherent states of the free nonrelativistic particle which is interpreted as a $q$-algebraic system without discrete spectrum. A special degenerate form of the symmetry algebras of self-similar potentials is found to provide a natural $q$-analog of the Floquet theory. Some properties of the factorization method, which is used throughout the paper, are discussed from the differential Galois theory point of view.

A method for solve integrable $A_2$ spin chains combining different representations

A non homogeneous spin chain in the representations $ \{3 \}$ and $ \{3^*\}$ of $A_2$ is analyzed. We find that the naive nested Bethe ansatz is not applicable to this case. A method inspired in the nested Bethe ansatz, that can be applied to more general cases, is developed for that chain. The solution for the eigenvalues of the trace of the monodromy matrix is given as two coupled Bethe equations different from that for a homogeneous chain. A conjecture about the form of the solutions for more general chains is presented. PACS: 75.10.Jm, 05.50+q 02.20 Sv

Exact two-spinon dynamical correlation function of the Heisenberg model

We derive the exact contribution of two spinons to the dynamical correlation function of the spin-1/2 Heisenberg model. For this, we use the isotropic limits of the exact form factors that have been recently computed through the quantum affine symmetry of the anisotropic Heisenberg model $XXZ$
