Gravity of Accelerations on Quantum Scales and its Consequences

Gravity stands apart from other fundamental interactions in that it is locally equivalent to an accelerated frame and can be transformed away. Again it is indistinguishable from the geometry of space-time (which is an arena for all other basic interactions), its strength being linked with the curvature. This is a major reason why it has so far not been amenable to quantisation like other interactions. It is also evident that new ideas are required to resolve several conundrums in areas like cosmology, black hole physics, and particles at high energies. That gravity can have strong coupling at microscales has also been suggested in several contexts earlier. Here we develop some of these ideas, especially in connection with the high accelerations experienced by particles at microscales, which would be interpreted as strong local gravitational fields. The consequences are developed for various situations and possible experimental manifestations are discussed.

On the Proof of Vanishing Cosmological Constant in String Theory

The proof of 4-dimensional cosmological constant is given for the 10-dimensional supergravity-super-Yang-Mills theory. Supersymmetry is broken at will. The proof is very simple and it is based on the scale invariance of the theory but it assumes a nouvelle interpretation of quantum theory or rather that of Planck constant. Proof utilizes the supergravity-super-Yan-Mills formulation with a possible stringy correction. A purely stringy proof is under consideration.

The P versus NP Problem in Quantum Physics

Motivated by the fact that information is encoded and processed by physical systems, the P versus NP problem is examined in terms of physical processes. In particular, we consider P as a class of deterministic, and NP as nondeterministic, polynomial-time physical processes. Based on these identifications, we review a self-reference physical process in quantum theory, which belongs to NP but cannot be contained in P.

Physical Origin of Elementary Particle Masses

In contemporary particle physics, the masses of fundamental particles are incalculable constants, being supplied by experimental values. Inspired by observation of the empirical particle mass spectrum, and their corresponding physical interaction couplings, we propose that the masses of elementary particles arise solely due to the self-interaction of the fields associated with the charges of a particle. A first application of this idea is seen to yield correct order of magnitude predictions for neutrinos, charged leptons and quarks. We then discuss more ambitious models, where also different generations may arise from \textit{e.g.} self-organizing bifurcations due to the underlying non-linear dynamics, with the coupling strength acting as "non-linearity" parameter. If the model is extended to include gauge bosons, the photon is automatically the only fundamental particle to remain massless as it has no charges. It results that gluons have an effective range $\sim 1$fm, physically explaining why QCD has finite reach.

Inertial Motion in the Events Plane of Minkowski Space with Non-zero Rest Mass (Axiomatic Description)

Inertial motion is considered in the plane of events characterized by the homogeneous Lorentz group L. On the basis of this group, a set of inertial movements and its decomposition into sets which are disconnected from one another with respect to the L-subgroups are considered. The geometric and corresponding physical characteristics of these motions are discussed: relativistic velocity, mass, relativistic momentum and mass/velocity ratio. It is shown that only one world line of inertial motion corresponds to each point on the plane in a space-like area, and the mass growth, dependent on the velocity, takes place only in the particle system. The mathematical model describing the aforementioned physical characteristics is developed in a geometric context, based on group theory.

Regularization of the vacuum fluctuation energy in quantum electrodynamics

It is shown that the total energy of the vacuum fluctuations of the electron-positron and electromagnetic fields in the quantum electrodynamics can be equal to zero if the "bare" electron charge is chosen by adequate way. The value of "bare" electron charge calculated from this condition proves to be in a qualitative agreement with that one which was found independently from the solution of the "physical electron" problem.

Tsallis' thermostatitics, MOND theory and holographic considerations on a Machian Universe

MOND theory explains the rotation curves of the galaxies. Verlinde's ideas establishes an entropic origin for gravitational forces and Tsallis principle generalizes the theory of Boltzman-Gibbs. In this work we have promoted a connection between these recent approaches, that at first sight seemed to have few or no points in common, using the Mach's principle as the background. In this way we have used Tsallis formalism to calculate the main parameters of the Machian Universe including the Hubble parameter and the age of the Universe. After that, we have also obtained a new value for the Tsallis parameter via Mach's principle. Using Verlinde's entropic gravity we have obtained new forms for MOND's well established ingredients. Finally, based on the relations between particles and bits obtained here, we have discussed the idea of bits entanglement in the holographic screen.

Presentism meets black holes

Presentism is, roughly, the metaphysical doctrine that maintains that whatever exists, exists in the present. The compatibility of presentism with the theories of special and general relativity was much debated in recent years. It has been argued that at least some versions of presentism are consistent with time-orientable models of general relativity. In this paper we confront the thesis of presentism with relativistic physics, in the strong gravitational limit where black holes are formed. We conclude that the presentist position is at odds with the existence of black holes and other compact objects in the universe. A revision of the thesis is necessary, if it is intended to be consistent with the current scientific view of the universe.

Gas-dynamic acceleration of bodies till the hyper sonic velocity

The article considers an opportunity of gas-dynamic acceleration of body from the initial zero velocity till the finite velocity: five kilometers per second. When the gas flow rate of the body pre-acceleration reaches one kilometer per second, the body is accelerated at the front of the explosion wave propagating along the coils of the hexogen spiral. This wave accelerates the body and, finally, it reaches the velocity of five kilometers per second. The accelerated body has mass one-tenth of a kilogram and diameter eleven and three tenths of a millimeter. Acceleration length is six meters. At the slope of the spiral to the horizon equal to seventy degrees the flight range of the body is equal to sixteen hundred kilometers and the maximum height of the flight is eleven hundred kilometers.

On the possible origin of the asteroid (1) Ceres

The last three decades the asteroid (1) Ceres is an object of the intensive ground-and space-based observations. A new unusual contributing to these studies represents the recent detection of localized sources of water vapour releasing from its surface at a rate about 6 kg s-1 (Küppers et al 2014). A drastic distinction between asteroid (1) Ceres and nearest the large asteroid (4) Vesta in terms of their composition and appearance emphasizes an urgent state of a problem of the possible origin of Ceres in the main asteroid belt. By analogy with the early assumptions of some well-known astronomers of Mercury and Mars as the escaped satellites of their host planets we have put forward and semi-empirically have justified a hypothesis for the plausible origin of Ceres as the satellite of a disrupted planet in the past orbited the Sun of ~ 5 AU. The orbital location of this host of Ceres beyond the snow line of the Solar System explains a formation the icy mantle of Ceres, which appears may be a water vapour source.

Basic cosmology

Basic cosmology describes the universe as a Robertson-Walker model filled with black-body radiation and no barionic matter, and as observational data it uses only the value of the speed of light, the Hubble and deceleration parameters and the black-body temperature at the present epoch. It predicts the value of the next new parameter in the Hubble law.

A Special Physical Phenomenon: Innate Interconnection of Space-time Points

In the light of A.A. Friedman's conceptual analysis of the World of events as a mathematical model of the physical reality in his book "The World as Space and Time", a priory, innate interconnection of events belonging to one and the same moment of time, which can condition the space-time metric, is considered with a summary review of its astronomical observations by N.A.Kozyrev's method.

From thermostatics -- to the thermokinetics

Present-day thermodynamics has long outgrown the initial frames of the heat-engine theory and transmuted into a rather general macroscopic method for studying kinetics of various transfer processes in their inseparable connection with the thermal form of motion. However its primary notions and mathematical instrument as before based on concepts of thermostatics, to wich time, speed and productivity of processes are alien, and on the equations transitory in case of irreversible processes in inequalities. It is offered essentially other approach at wich the thermostatics equations follow from thermokinetics of spatially non-uniform systems.

The Effect of Accumulation of Excess Energy of a Body in Gravitational Compression

It is shown that a gravitational compression of a spherical body results in an infinite growth of the energy of a body as its radius comes close to $GM/c^2$. This gives rise to a negative defect of mass and, due to an instability, to an expansion or to an explosion. A rigorous proof of the above statement can be obtained within the General Relativity in the harmonic coordinates.

On the absence of black hole event horizons: a test of De Sitter Yang-Mills Theory

De Sitter Quantum Gravity is a Yang-Mills theory based on the de Sitter or SO(4,1) group and a promising candidate for a quantum theory of gravity. In this paper, an exact, static, spherically symmetric solution of the classical equations is derived. I show that when the Schwarzchild radius to distance ratio is at post-Newtonian order the theory agrees with general relativity for all parameters but that, once the ratio becomes closer to unity, they differ. At the Schwarzchild radius from a black hole singularity, general relativity predicts an event horizon, which has become a controversial topic in quantum gravity because of information preservation issues. In the De Sitter theory I show, however, that time-like escape paths exist for any mass black hole until the singularity itself is reached. Since an event horizon has never been directly observed and there is currently no observation on which the two theories disagree, this provides a powerful test of the De Sitter theory.

Is Bohm's interpretation of quantum mechanics consistent?

The supposed equivalence of the conventional interpretation of quantum mechanics with Bohm's interpretation is generally demonstrated only in the coordinate representation. It is shown, however, that in the momentum representation this equivalence is not valid.

Jeans instability and anti-screening in gravitational-antigravitational model of Universe

The hypothesis of antigravitational interaction of elementary particles and antiparticles is considered on the basis of the simple two-component hydrodynamic model with gravitational repulsion and attraction. It is shown increasing of the Jeans instability rate, the presence of antiscreening and the dominative role of the gravitational repulsion as a possible mechanism for spatial separation of matter and antimatter in Universe, as well as the observable acceleration of the far galaxies. The sound wave is found for the two-component gravitational-antigravitational system, which starts for k = 0 in the case of annihilation neglecting. The suggested approach permits to reestablish the idea about baryon symmetry of Universe, causing its steady flatness of the large scale and accelerated Universe expansion.
