Tree Diagram Lie Algebras of Differential Operators and Evolution Partial Differential Equations

Abstract

A tree diagram is a tree with positive integral weight on each edge, which is a notion generalized from the Dynkin diagrams of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras. We introduce two nilpotent Lie algebras and their extended solvable Lie algebras associated with each tree diagram. The solvable tree diagram Lie algebras turn out to be complete Lie algebras of maximal rank analogous to the Borel subalgebras of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras. Their abelian ideals are completely determined. Using a high-order Campbell-Hausdorff formula and certain abelian ideals of the tree diagram Lie algebras, we solve the initial value problem of first-order evolution partial differential equations associated with nilpotent tree diagram Lie algebras and high-order evolution partial differential equations, including heat conduction type equations related to generalized Tricomi operators associated with trees.

Quantized integral models of reductive monoids

We construct quantized integral models of reductive monoids and establish their finite-generation properties. We also describe the quantized coordinate rings of the basic affine spaces explicitly in terms of Lusztig's dual canonical bases. The results will be used in the companion paper \cite{CJ2} to establish a classification theorem for split reductive monoids over arbitrary connected base schemes.

Mutation of τ-exceptional pairs and sequences

We introduce a notion of mutation for $τ$-exceptional sequences of modules over arbitrary finite dimensional algebras. For hereditary algebras, we show that this coincides with the classical mutation of exceptional sequences. For rank two algebras, we show that mutation of $τ$-exceptional sequences is transitive if and only if mutation of support $τ$-tilting modules in the sense of Adachi-Iyama-Reiten is transitive.

Inner Products and Banach Algebra structures on Bicomplex Numbers and Their Associated Spaces

In this paper, we introduce various types of inner products and norms on the bicomplex number system $\mathbb{C}_2$, the bicomplex vector space ${\mathbb{C}_2}^{n}$, the space of bicomplex matrices ${C_2}^{m \times n}$, and the space of bicomplex polynomials $\mathbb{C}_2[ξ]_n$. We investigate the relationships among these inner products and norms, and establish several results. Furthermore, we prove that $\mathbb{C}_2$ and ${\mathbb{C}_2}^{n}$ are Banach algebras and Hilbert spaces. These results provide a unified framework for the study of inner product structures and normed linear spaces over bicomplex numbers and their associated spaces.
