Effective transverse radius of nucleon in high-energy elastic diffractive scattering
Abstract
High-energy elastic diffraction of nucleons is considered in the framework of the simplest Regge-eikonal approximation. It is demonstrated explicitly that the effective transverse radius of nucleon in this nonperturbative regime is $\sim 0.2÷0.3$ fm and much less than the transverse size of the diffractive interaction region.
