Chiral Vortical Transport under Minimal-Length Deformations in Rotating Relativistic Matter

Abstract

We study how a minimal length can affect the chiral vortical effect, in which rotation produces a current in matter made of chiral fermions. We focus on an isotropic modification of the momentum-space density-of-state (DoS) and determine the vortical conductivity from the static, long-wavelength correlation between the current and momentum density. The analysis is carried out first for a single right-handed Weyl fermion and is then extended to general massless chiral fermion systems with mutually commuting conserved charges. We find that, for a broad class of analytic isotropic DoS modifications, the familiar leading contributions from chemical potential and temperature remain unchanged at first order within the DoS sector. Minimal-length effects instead appear through higher-order thermal and chemical-potential contributions. Some of these corrections contain the same chiral charge combinations that appear in gauge and mixed gauge-gravitational anomalies, while another contains an independent higher-order charge combination. Their coefficients depend on the form of the DoS modification and are therefore not fixed by the usual four-dimensional anomaly structure. For the Kempf-Mangano-Mann deformation, the exact result shows that a positive minimal-length parameter always reduces the DoS contribution to the vortical conductivity. We also find that a Planck-suppressed correction is extremely small under standard heavy-ion chemical freeze-out conditions. These results show that isotropic minimal-length modifications can change higher-order contributions to chiral vortical transport while leaving the familiar leading anomaly-related response unchanged within the DoS sector considered here.

Universal Mechanism of Dynamical Memory in Light-Nuclei Formation and Cosmological Bose-Einstein Condensation

We identify a common reduced nonequilibrium structure in light-nuclei formation in heavy-ion collisions and cosmological Bose-Einstein condensation. In the heavy-ion system, eliminating a finite-lived intermediate hadronic sector, represented minimally by the Delta component, generates an exponential memory kernel. In the Fukuyama-Morikawa-Tatekawa (FMT) cosmological system, the localized collapse component is generated from the coherent field and feeds back through the expansion rate, producing the causal sequence rho_phi -> rho_l -> H -> rho_phi. Eliminating this additional dynamical sector likewise generates a history-dependent reduced equation. Although the two memory kernels and their microscopic origins are different, they realize the same generic causal structure: elimination of a dynamically relevant coupled sector leaves a memory of its previous evolution. This defines a reduced-dynamical universality class and gives a time-scale criterion separating approximately Markovian from non-Markovian evolution. As a concrete application, we consider hypertriton formation through direct p+n+Lambda and sequential d+Lambda channels. The direct channel acts as a local source, whereas elimination of the intermediate deuteron sector generates a retarded sequential contribution. We predict that the sequential-to-direct ratio depends on the duration and expansion history of the hadronic stage and increases with effective evolution time when sequential correlations are retained more efficiently. Existing coalescence calculations provide a benchmark in which this ratio changes by about 40% while the total hypertriton abundance changes by only about 20%. More generally, several independent relaxation modes in the eliminated sector generate a multi-scale memory kernel.

Symmetry Nonrestoration in the Pati-Salam Model

We demonstrate that symmetry need not be restored in the Pati-Salam model, so that $SU(2)_L\otimes SU(2)_R\otimes SU(4)_c$ remains broken to the Standard Model group at temperatures above the Pati-Salam symmetry breaking scale. Including the leading finite-temperature corrections, suitable quartic couplings prevent a restoration transition, thereby avoiding the thermal production of 't Hooft-Polyakov monopoles after inflation, even if the reheating temperature is very high. This removes monopole-based constraints on the Pati-Salam symmetry breaking scale.

Muon collider experiments as electron/positron beam sources: case studies of new light-particle searches

At muon colliders, muon decays naturally produce intense electrons and positrons with unique features, namely high energies, high repetition rates, and small intrinsic uncertainties, that are unavailable at existing accelerator facilities. We quantitatively study the feasibility of extracting such particles in two representative future muon collider designs, IMCC and $μ$TRISTAN. Using Monte Carlo simulations with the corresponding design parameters, we study the spatial, angular, and energy distributions of decay electrons and positrons in the curved sections of the collider ring. We find that typical deflections of $0.1-10~\mathrm{mrad}$ can be achieved even for high-energy electrons carrying large energy fractions ($\simeq 0.6 - 1.0$) of the muon beam energy, with the ring bending magnets (or magnets providing an equivalent field) effectively serving as a pre-septum magnet, that partially deflects the beam before the main septum magnet, suggesting that the extraction scheme could be practically feasible. Exploiting the distinct beam properties of IMCC and $μ$TRISTAN, we propose complementary search strategies, missing energy and momentum searches for dark matter at $μ$TRISTAN and visible-decay searches for axion-like particles and light scalars at IMCC, which probe parameter space beyond the reach of current and other proposed experiments.
