On the Classical, Penrose, and Reverse Isoperimetric Inequalities in Black Holes: Insights From AdS to Flat Riemannian Backgrounds

A collection of evidence is presented showing that the conjectured reverse isoperimetric inequality (RII) for asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) as well as de Sitter (dS) black holes, ${\cal R}_\text{RII} \ge 1$, is of fundamental importance and its violation (${\cal R}_\text{RII} < 1$) gives rise to either thermodynamic instabilities, or physically unreasonable solutions, or naked singularities. We show that AdS black holes violating reverse isoperimetric inequality, known as superentropic black holes, satisfy neither mechanical stability requirement of ${κ_T} \geqslant {κ_S} \geqslant 0$ nor thermal stability requirement of ${C_P} \geqslant {C_V} \geqslant 0$. This property makes them thermodynamically unstable for the whole range of parameter space and explains all the diverse behaviors so far reported. We conjecture this statement holds for all superentropic black holes. We confirm that there is no counterexample to the thermodynamic instability conjecture of superentropic black holes and extend this to dS space by presenting the first example of superentropicity in dS space. By bringing evidence, we then propose two other conjectures: 1) there is no asymptotically flat limit of superentropic black holes, and 2) there exist two stronger versions of Penrose isoperimetric inequality (PII) for asymptotically flat black holes; the first is the asymptotically flat limit of the RII and the second is a new inequality in terms of the ADM mass and the thermodynamics volume, that we call thermo-volumetric inequality, obtained via insights from the $Λ\to 0$ limit of extended black hole thermodynamics in AdS. We show that the Penrose isoperimetric inequality (PII) is weaker than the reverse isoperimetric inequality (RII), as demonstrated explicitly for $D=4,5$ and for all black hole families we have examined.

Thermodynamics of Hairy Black Holes in Quantum Regimes: Insights from Horndeski Theory

We study non-perturbative quantum gravitational corrections to the thermodynamics and quantum work distribution of the $n$-dimensional Schwarzschild--Tangherlini--Anti-de Sitter black hole. Starting from the corrected entropy $S = S_0 + η\, e^{-S_0}$, where $S_0$ is the Bekenstein--Hawking entropy, we derive the modified specific heat, internal energy, Helmholtz free energy, and Gibbs free energy in closed form. The specific heat retains the classical divergence at $r_h^{*}=l\sqrt{(n-3)/(n-1)}$ for $n\geq 4$, but the quantum correction suppresses its magnitude by up to $78\%$ at small horizon radii. In the extended phase space, the uncharged black hole admits no van der Waals critical point; however, the non-perturbative correction induces a Hawking--Page transition for $n\geq 4$ that is absent in the semi-classical limit. The corrected Gibbs free energy turns negative at small $r_h$, opening a thermodynamic channel with no classical counterpart. Using the Jarzynski equality and Jensen inequality, we obtain the quantum work distribution during evaporation. The free energy difference $ΔF$ between two black hole states undergoes a sign reversal at small horizon radii for $n\geq 4$ when $η=1$, flipping the average quantum work from negative to positive. This sign reversal grows with the spacetime dimension, reaching $\langle W\rangle \approx +4.31$ for $n=10$. These findings demonstrate that non-perturbative quantum gravitational effects qualitatively alter the phase structure and evaporation energetics of AdS black holes, and they cannot be captured by perturbative corrections alone.

Quantum-corrected thermodynamics of Schwarzschild AdS black holes in conformal Killing gravity

We study Schwarzschild--AdS black holes in conformal Killing gravity with non-perturbative entropy corrections within the extended phase-space formalism. By deriving the quantum-corrected heat capacity, Helmholtz free energy, internal energy, and Gibbs free energy, we show that quantum corrections modify phase transition points and thermal stability mainly at small horizon radii, while classical behavior is recovered for large black holes. Critical behavior of van der Waals type appears exclusively for positive values of the conformal Killing parameter $a$. Applying the island prescription, we find that the entanglement entropy of Hawking radiation saturates after the Page time at $S_{\text{sat}} = 2(πr_H^2 + ηe^{-πr_H^2})$, thereby restoring unitarity. Stronger quantum corrections increase the entropy threshold and delay information recovery. Furthermore, we examine the universal thermodynamic relation in the extremal limit under a minimal perturbation of the AdS curvature radius. We prove that the quantum correction parameter $η$ cancels out completely, yielding the robust universal combination $U = -r_{\text{ext}}^3 / l^3$. This demonstrates that the universal relation remains stable against non-perturbative quantum corrections to the entropy.

Thermodynamics, topology and non-Abelian instability of the five-dimensional Einstein--Yang--Mills black hole with exponential entropy correction

The five-dimensional Einstein--Yang--Mills black hole obtained from the higher-dimensional Wu--Yang ansatz carries a logarithmic non-Abelian contribution to the metric function, making it an analytically tractable setting for studying how gauge charge reshapes horizon thermodynamics beyond four dimensions. We derive expressions for the mass--radius relation, the Hawking temperature, the entropy, the Yang--Mills potential and the first law, and record the curvature invariants, which show that the logarithm sharpens the central singularity rather than smoothing it. A non-perturbative exponential entropy correction is then added, and the corrected heat capacity and free energies are obtained analytically. The geometry is extremal at $r_h=|Q|$ and the heat capacity diverges at $r_h=\sqrt{3}\,|Q|$, a Davies-type point. The correction moves that point inward, $r_{\rm tr}/|Q|\simeq\sqrt{3}-9λαη\,e^{-3\sqrt{3}λ}$. Using the generalized off-shell free energy we find a conserved topological charge $W=0$ carried by a stable--unstable defect pair whose inner member alone responds to the correction. We then solve the spherically symmetric magnetic Yang--Mills perturbation sector, which probes the gauge field itself rather than a test scalar. Two independent numerical schemes agree to better than $1.2\times10^{-7}$ and give a purely imaginary unstable mode whose growth rate falls monotonically from $Γ_{0}r_h=0.414753$ at $Q/r_h\to0$ to $0.317520$ at $Q/r_h=0.99$, passing through the Davies scale without any feature. Because the effective potential decays as $-9/(4r_{*}^{2})$, with a coefficient above the critical value $1/4$, the sector supports an infinite geometric tower of unstable modes accumulating at $Γ\to0$ with the charge-independent ratio $Γ_{n+1}/Γ_{n}\to e^{-π/\sqrt{2}}\simeq0.108453$, which we confirm numerically.

Quantum-Corrected Black Holes in Higher Dimensions: From Gravitational Collapse to Remnants, WGC-Like Behavior and Accretion Signatures

We study the gravitational collapse of a homogeneous dust sphere in higher-dimensional spacetime, with the loop quantum gravity correction entered through a modified Friedmann equation. Its most striking feature is an endpoint: at a finite horizon radius the temperature vanishes and evaporation stops, leaving a remnant. Reading \(α\) as an effective charge, we find behavior reminiscent of the Weak Gravity Conjecture (WGC), although no \(U(1)\) gauge field is present in the model. Solving the degeneracy conditions with the untruncated metric function, rather than with a mass expansion that is not uniform near the endpoint, we obtain closed-form expressions for the remnant radius and mass in \(D=4,5,6,7\). The unscaled ratio \(α/M_{\text{remnant}}^2\) is constant only in four dimensions and grows as \(α^{4-D}\) elsewhere, but it carries dimension \(L^{8-2D}\), so that growth is an artifact of the units. The dimensionless combination \(\tilde{\mathcal{R}} = (α/M^2) r_0^{2D-8}\) settles instead on a finite \(α\)-independent number in every dimension, decreasing from \(27/64\) in four dimensions to \(13824/(15625π^4)\) in seven. We also deform the quantum parameter, \(α\to α+ \varepsilon\), and evaluate \(-T(\partial S/\partial \varepsilon)_M\) in the remnant limit. Because \((\partial M/\partial r)_α\) vanishes there, the fixed-entropy derivative reduces exactly to a fixed-radius one, and the resulting combination \(\mathcal{U}\) is finite in each dimension but depends on \(\varepsilon\) except for \(D=5\). What is invariant is the product \(\mathcal{R}\,\mathcal{U}\,M_{\text{remnant}} = (D-3)/2\), which we verify numerically. Lastly, we study Bondi accretion onto the quantum-corrected black hole and obtain the Eddington luminosity for each dimension.

Rényi Entropy and the Topological Features of Charged AdS Black Hole

This study applies Duan's topological current $ϕ$-mapping theory to investigate a newly proposed charged modified AdS black hole using the Rényi entropy formalism, examining its thermodynamic properties across the canonical, mixed, and grand canonical ensembles.} Electric and magnetic charges are fixed in the canonical ensemble, whereas the mixed ensemble incorporates electric and magnetic potentials. The grand canonical ensemble, meanwhile, ensures consistency by employing these potentials exclusively. Initially, we compute topological charges by identifying critical points in each ensemble. In both the canonical and mixed ensembles, we identify a conventional critical point with a topological charge of $-1$. We then model the black hole's domain in the AdS regime as a topological defect in thermodynamic space and analyze its local and global topology by calculating the winding numbers at these defect locations. {Interestingly, the canonical and mixed ensembles exhibit identical black hole topologies, each possessing a total topological charge of $1$ within the framework of the Rényi entropy.} Finally, we characterize the canonical, mixed, and grand canonical ensembles based on the presence of generation/annihilation points: the canonical ensemble has one such point, the mixed ensemble has a negative one, and the grand canonical ensemble has none.

Gravitational Wave Signatures of Periodic Orbits around a Schwarzschild-like Black Holes Submerged in an Exponential Density Dark Matter Profile

We study a Schwarzschild-like black hole embedded in an exponential-sphere (ESM) dark matter halo, characterized by a halo mass $M_0$ and a scale radius $r_0$. We first show that the halo's effect on the marginally bound orbit (MBO) and innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) is richer than a simple shift: the characteristic radii and energies vary non-monotonically with $r_0$, dipping below their Schwarzschild values before recovering, while the angular momenta decrease monotonically; as a function of $M_0$, the response can even reverse sign depending on how extended the halo is, with only the ISCO energy remaining monotonic throughout. We classify periodic orbits by the rational frequency ratio $q=ω_ϕ/ω_r-1=w+v/z$ and find that $r_0$ and $M_0$ leave clearly distinguishable imprints on the orbit spectrum. Using the numerical kludge framework, we compute the corresponding extreme-mass-ratio-inspiral (EMRI) waveforms and show that varying $r_0$ produces a strong, monotonic effect enlarging the orbits, lengthening the radial period, and introducing a clear dephasing while comparable variations in $M_0$ leave the signal nearly unchanged unless $M_0$ becomes a sizable fraction of the black hole mass. Together, these results indicate that EMRI waveforms can, in principle, disentangle the total mass of a dark matter halo from its spatial extent, offering a strong-field probe of the dark matter distribution around supermassive black holes.

Periodic Orbits and Gravitational Wave Signatures around the Bonanno--Reuter Regular Black Hole

Timelike geodesics, periodic orbits, and their associated gravitational-wave signatures are examined in the spacetime of a Bonanno--Reuter regular black hole, a geometry arising from Asymptotically Safe Gravity in which a running Newton coupling replaces the central singularity with a de Sitter core. The dimensionless parameter $α/M^2$ completely determines the strong-field dynamics. Increasing $α/M^2$ shifts the marginally bound and innermost stable circular orbits inward, systematically reducing their characteristic radii, angular momenta, and energies; the allowed phase space for bound motion contracts accordingly. Classifying trajectories via the rational frequency ratio $q = w + v/z$ reveals that periodic orbits experience a mild inward contraction, which reduces the energy necessary to sustain a specific topology. Within the numerical kludge framework, we calculate the gravitational-wave polarizations for extreme mass-ratio inspirals. The asymptotically safe correction induces a leftward phase shift that reflects shorter orbital periods, while mildly enhancing peak amplitudes owing to the smaller periastron distances reached in the deep strong-field regime. Waveform sensitivity displays a strong dependence on topology, with high-whirl orbits, which persist longer in the strong-field region near the horizon, showing markedly more pronounced deviations. Unlike environmental effects that inflate orbital scales, intrinsic quantum-gravity modifications generate distinct, observationally detectable signatures for future space-based detectors such as LISA, Taiji, and TianQin.

Systematic Light Propagation Bias from the Heliosphere and Its Impact on the Hubble Tension

The Hubble tension (HT) represents one of the most significant discrepancies in modern cosmology, with local distance measurements yielding $H_0 = 73.5 \pm 1.4$ km/s/Mpc while cosmic microwave background (CMB) observations predict $H_0 = 67.4 \pm 0.5$ km/s/Mpc. We propose that this tension arises from systematic effects introduced by our Solar System's heliospheric (HS) environment on local distance measurements. The HS creates a complex medium of heated plasma and energetic neutral atoms (ENAs) beyond the heliopause (HP), where interstellar medium (ISM) temperatures rise significantly. This thermal gradient and particle environment may systematically affect observations of Cepheid variables and Type Ia supernovae (SNe~Ia) used in the local cosmic distance ladder (CDL), biasing distance measurements and artificially inflating the measured Hubble constant. We present theoretical calculations showing how HS effects could account for up to $\sim 8\%$ of the observed 8--9\% discrepancy, with the realistic contribution lying in the $\sim 3$--$8\%$ range once anisotropy, partial calibration cancellation, and chromatic suppression are included, and discuss observational tests to validate this hypothesis.

CFT Constraints on the Weak Gravity Conjecture

The Weak Gravity Conjecture (WGC) is a swampland criterion of long standing: any consistent theory of quantum gravity must contain a charged particle whose charge-to-mass ratio exceeds that of an extremal black hole, so that gravity remains the weakest force. The AdS/CFT correspondence offers a calculable boundary handle on bulk gravity, and the imaginary parts of bulk quasinormal modes are read off the boundary as poles of a retarded Green's function. We show that the WGC follows from this boundary calculation in two settings that fall outside the Reissner--Nordström idealisation: static spherically symmetric black holes in dRGT massive gravity, and dyonic black holes in Einstein--ModMax non-linear electrodynamics. The chain runs from the metric and gauge field, through the charged Klein--Gordon equation, into a near-horizon scaling limit whose radial equation reduces to Whittaker form; the conformal weight $ν_0$ then enters a damping-time inequality. For the dRGT black hole every massive-gravity parameter ($α,β,m_g,h$) cancels out, leaving the universal saturation $q/(m r_+) \geq 1/\sqrt{2} \approx 0.707$. For the Einstein--ModMax black hole the duality-symmetric non-linearity parameter $γ$ survives, and yields $q/(m r_+) \geq e^{-γ/2}$, which reduces to the Reissner--Nordström bound $q/(m r_+) \geq 1$ in the Maxwell limit $γ\to 0$. Either result is of order unity, and the second weakens monotonically as the non-linearity grows. We then relax three of the simplifying assumptions of the dRGT derivation, namely exact extremality, minimal coupling, and the absence of higher-curvature terms. The cancellation breaks. Each correction reintroduces $m_g,α,β$ into the bound through a controlled functional dependence, and we tabulate and plot the relaxed forms across parameter space.

Observational Constraints on $f(Q,T)$ Gravity in the Presence of DBI-Essence Scalar Field

We investigate late-time cosmology in extended symmetric teleparallel gravity coupled to a Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) scalar field within $f(Q,T)$ gravity, where $Q$ is the non-metricity scalar and $T$ is the trace of the matter energy-momentum tensor. Working on a spatially flat Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker background and treating the cosmic medium as an effective perfect fluid, we derive the background field equations for $f(Q,T)+\mathrm{DBI}$ gravity and obtain analytic solutions for the linear choice $f(Q,T)=αQ+βT$. We then constrain the model parameters with a Markov Chain Monte Carlo analysis using Hubble-rate data, DESI BAO (DR2) measurements, and the Pantheon+SHOES Type~Ia supernova sample. The joint posteriors (Tables II and III) are broadly consistent with current late-time constraints and allow a direct comparison with $Λ$CDM, quantifying the departures driven by the $βT$ coupling and the DBI sector. Although the model does not reproduce every observational feature exactly, it provides a statistically viable alternative avenue to the standard paradigm and a useful framework for exploring potential remedies to existing tensions, including the $H_0$ discrepancy, without claiming a definitive resolution.

Holographic CFT Thermodynamics as a Bridge Between the Weak Gravity and Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjectures for EMPYM--AdS Black Holes

The weak cosmic censorship conjecture (\WCCC) and the weak gravity conjecture (\WGC) sit at the heart of how singularities and charged matter are constrained in any consistent theory of quantum gravity. We study both conjectures for Einstein--Maxwell--power--Yang--Mills--AdS (\EMPYM) black holes, a family in which a non-Abelian power-law Yang--Mills field, a Maxwell field, and a negative cosmological constant act together. Working in holographic conformal field theory (CFT) thermodynamics, we treat the central charge $C$ and the CFT volume $\Vol$ as independent variables and obtain an extended first law that carries variations of the Yang--Mills charge and of the nonlinearity exponent $γ$. A closed Euler relation follows, and we check it together with the full set of equations of state to machine precision. The perturbation is a charged massive scalar minimally coupled to the Maxwell sector. Its horizon energy and charge fluxes fix the superradiance threshold $ω<\tilde{q}_s\tildeϕ_h$, and the mass--energy relation $μ_s=ω$ turns this into the bound $\tilde{q}_s/μ_s>r_{\min}/\tilde{Q}$. Expanding the metric function $f(r)$ about its minimum for extremal and near-extremal configurations, we find that absorption keeps $f_{\min}$ non-positive, so the horizon survives. The Yang--Mills sector lowers the effective charge-to-mass threshold below the Reissner--Nordström value of unity, while a local stability analysis locates a Davies point in the heat capacity. Across the parameter range examined the \EMPYM\ family respects cosmic censorship under scalar perturbations, with the \WGC\ fixing only the direction of evolution toward or away from extremality.

Warm Inflation in $f(Q)$ gravity

We investigate warm inflation in the framework of $f(Q)$ gravity within a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker spacetime. Unlike cold inflation, where the inflaton evolves in isolation, warm inflation features continuous interaction between the inflaton field and radiation throughout the inflationary epoch, facilitating energy transfer through dissipative processes and maintaining thermal equilibrium. In our novel approach, we employ $f(Q)$ dark energy as the driving mechanism for warm inflation, leveraging the geometric degrees of freedom associated with non-metricity as dynamical variables. We derive the field equations using slow-roll approximations and analyze two specific $f(Q)$ models: a power-law form $f(Q) = Q + m Q^n$ and a logarithmic form $f(Q) = mQ\ln(nQ)$. Our analysis focuses on the high-dissipative regime, where thermal fluctuations dominate over quantum fluctuations. We compute key inflationary observables, including the scalar spectral index $n_s$, tensor-to-scalar ratio $r$, and slow-roll parameters. Our results demonstrate that $f(Q)$ dark energy successfully drives warm inflation while satisfying essential physical conditions: initial dominance of $f(Q)$ energy density over radiation density initially, and thermal fluctuations exceeding quantum fluctuations ($T > H$). As inflation progresses, energy transfers from the geometric $f(Q)$ sector to radiation, eventually bringing both densities to comparable levels near inflation's end. Importantly, our computed values align well with current observational constraints from Planck and BICEP/Keck: $n_s = 0.965 \pm 0.004$ and $r < 0.036$. This validates the viability of warm inflation in $f(Q)$ gravity and establishes a unified geometric framework for understanding both early universe inflation and late-time cosmic acceleration.

Holographic Thermodynamic Signatures of Simpson--Visser--AdS Black Holes

We study a Simpson--Visser regularization of the four-dimensional Schwarzschild--anti--de\,Sitter (SV--AdS) black hole, treated as the bulk dual of a planar conformal field theory (CFT) on the AdS boundary. The bulk lapse $f(r)=1-2M/\sqrt{r^2+a^2}+(r^2+a^2)/\ell^2$ is regular at $r=0$ for any $a>0$, and the holographic dictionary inherits this regularity at the boundary CFT level. We derive in closed form the boundary entropy, energy, temperature, and chemical potentials, and we trace how the SV regularization parameter $a$ deforms each of them as a function of the horizon radius. For $\tila<\tila_c=1/\sqrt{24}\approx 0.204$ the bulk temperature develops a van der Waals--type small/intermediate/large branch structure and the off-shell free energy supports three coexisting equilibria; the topological-vector-field analysis assigns local winding numbers $(+1,-1,+1)$ with total charge $W=+1$, matching the universality class of regular AdS black holes (Bardeen-AdS, Hayward-AdS) and distinguishing the SV-AdS family from Schwarzschild-AdS ($W=0$).

Black Hole Entropy and Complexity Growth in Horndeski Gravity within the AdS/BCFT Framework

This work investigates the connection between quantum complexity and gravitational dynamics within the framework of Horndeski gravity, extending the AdS/BCFT correspondence to include scalar-tensor interactions. By refining the "complexity=action" conjecture, we analyze how Horndeski gravity modifies the Wheeler-DeWitt patch and the causal structure relevant for holographic complexity. Our analysis shows that the linear growth of complexity, proportional to the product of black hole entropy and temperature, is recovered for the class of black hole configurations studied here, including rotating and charged solutions. We also study the effect of shock waves on complexity growth and find the appearance of the switchback effect. These conclusions hold in the regime in which the relevant effective characteristic cone of Horndeski gravity is compatible with the null structure used to define the Wheeler-DeWitt patch, so that the causal construction effectively matches that of the background metric. Within this domain of validity, our results provide evidence for the complexity=action conjecture in Horndeski gravity and illustrate how modified gravitational couplings affect holographic complexity in the AdS/BCFT framework.

Testing the Weak Gravity Conjecture via Gravitational Lensing, Black Hole Shadows, and Barrow Thermodynamics in F(R)-Euler-Heisenberg (A)dS Black Holes

We investigate the interplay of the Weak Gravity Conjecture (WGC) and the Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjecture (WCCC) in $F(R)$-Euler-Heisenberg black holes in Anti-de Sitter and de Sitter backgrounds. The solution is characterized by the electric charge $q$, the $F(R)$ deviation $f_{R_0}$, the Euler--Heisenberg coupling $λ$, and the constant scalar curvature $R_0$. We establish a universal entropy--extremality relation that provides thermodynamic evidence for the WGC independently of $f_{R_0}$ and $R_0$. Photon sphere analysis from both geodesic and topological perspectives confirms the simultaneous compatibility of the WGC and WCCC, with the Euler--Heisenberg coupling restoring photon spheres in the naked singularity regime. Gravitational lensing in the strong- and weak-deflection limits reveals that the photon sphere radius is independent of the cosmological background while the critical impact parameter nearly doubles in de Sitter. Black hole shadow images under isotropic accretion are constructed. Within the Barrow entropy framework, we uncover van der Waals-type phase transitions and analyze Joule-Thomson expansion, identifying the small black hole phase as the WGC-compatible thermodynamic regime accessible via isenthalpic cooling.

Holographic CFT Phase Transitions and Criticality for Einstein-Maxwell-Power-Yang-Mills AdS Black Holes

We present a comprehensive study of the thermodynamic phase structure for Anti-de Sitter black holes in Einstein-Maxwell-power-Yang-Mills gravity, reformulated through holographic duality as an ensemble problem in the dual conformal field theory (CFT). By deriving an extended first law where the central charge \(C\) is a thermodynamic variable, we systematically explore both canonical and mixed ensembles. In the canonical ensemble with fixed charges, we identify a van der Waals-like phase transition between small and large black holes, marked by a characteristic swallowtail structure and coexistence curves with a negative slope. In contrast, within the mixed ensemble of fixed electric potential, the system exhibits a Hawking-Page transition between confined and deconfined phases of the boundary CFT. Our key finding is the suppressive role of the non-Abelian Yang-Mills charge \(\tilde{q}\): increasing \(\tilde{q}\) lowers both the minimum and the Hawking-Page transition temperatures, significantly narrowing the stability window of the confined phase. These results, supported by detailed numerical analysis, reveal a rich, ensemble-dependent phase landscape and establish the non-linear Yang-Mills sector as a critical controller of confinement physics in strongly coupled holographic systems.

Cosmic Hysteresis in Reconstructed $f(T)$ Bounce Models A Torsion-Based Thermodynamic Perspective

We investigate the emergence of cosmic hysteresis in cyclic and bouncing cosmologies within the framework of reconstructed $f(T)$ gravity. In contrast to curvature-based modifications of General Relativity, teleparallel gravity attributes gravitation to spacetime torsion encoded in the torsion scalar $T$. By reconstructing viable $f(T)$ functions corresponding to analytically prescribed nonsingular bouncing scale factors and coupling the geometry to a minimally interacting canonical scalar field, we demonstrate that asymmetric scalar field dynamics between expansion and contraction phases give rise to a non-vanishing thermodynamic work integral $\oint p_ϕ\, dV$ over complete cycles. This hysteresis manifests as closed loops in the $(w_ϕ,a)$ plane, signifying thermodynamic memory and irreversibility. We derive the modified Friedmann equations, establish exact bounce and turnaround conditions, and discuss the implications of torsion-induced hysteresis for the cosmological arrow of time. Our results confirm that cosmic hysteresis is a generic feature of cyclic universes in modified gravity, extending beyond curvature-based theories.
