Threshold and high-frequency behavior of dipole-bound anion photodetachment
Abstract
An explicit analytic description is given for dipole-bound anion (DBA) as an excess electron bound to the molecular neutral due to its dipole moment. The calculated DBA photodetachment cross-section displays $\proptoω^{-2}$ behavior for large $ω$, in complete accordance with the experimental data [Bailey \textit{et al.}, J. Chem. Phys \textbf{104}, 6976 (1996)]. At the threshold the photodetachment cross-section displays the Gailitis--Damburg oscillations.
