The generating function for elements of the Bethe subalgebra of Hecke algebra is constructed as Sklyanin's transfer-matrix operator for Hecke chain. We show that in a special classical limit q -> 1 the Hamiltonians of the Gaudin model can be derived from the transfer-matrix operator of Hecke chain. We consruct a non-local analogue of the Gaudin Hamiltonians for the case of Hecke algebras.
The main purpose of this paper is the construction of the R-operator which acts in the tensor product of two infinite-dimensional representations of the conformal algebra and solves Yang-Baxter equation. We build the R-operator as a product of more elementary operators S_1, S_2 and S_3. Operators S_1 and S_3 are identified with intertwining operators of two irreducible representations of the conformal algebra and the operator S_2 is obtained from the intertwining operators S_1 and S_3 by a certain duality transformation. There are star-triangle relations for the basic building blocks S_1, S_2 and S_3 which produce all other relations for the general R-operators. In the case of the conformal algebra of n-dimensional Euclidean space we construct the R-operator for the scalar (spin part is equal to zero) representations and prove that the star-triangle relation is a well known star-triangle relation for propagators of scalar fields. In the special case of the conformal algebra of the 4-dimensional Euclidean space, the R-operator is obtained for more general class of infinite-dimensional (differential) representations with nontrivial spin parts. As a result, for the case of the 4-dimensional Euclidean space, we generalize the scalar star-triangle relation to the most general star-triangle relation for the propagators of particles with arbitrary spins.
A complete system of pairwise orthogonal minimal idempotents for Birman-Murakami-Wenzl algebras is obtained by a consecutive evaluation of a rational function in several variables on sequences of quantum contents of up-down tableaux. A by-product of the construction is a one-parameter family of fusion procedures for Hecke algebras. Classical limits to two different fusion procedures for Brauer algebras are described.
We give a new fusion procedure for the Brauer algebra by showing that all primitive idempotents can be found by evaluating a rational function in several variables which has the form of a product of R-matrix type factors. In particular, this provides a new fusion procedure for the symmetric group involving an arbitrary parameter. The R-matrices are solutions of the Yang--Baxter equation associated with the classical Lie algebras g_N of types B, C and D. Moreover, we construct an evaluation homomorphism from a reflection equation algebra B(g_N) to U(g_N) and show that the fusion procedure provides an equivalence between natural tensor representations of B(g_N) with the corresponding evaluation modules.
We consider integrable open chain models formulated in terms of generators of affine Hecke algebras. The hierarchy of commutative elements (which are analogs of the commutative transfer-matrices) are constructed by using the fusion procedure. These elements satisfy a set of functional relations which generalize functional relations among a family of transfer-matrices in solvable spin chain models of U_q(gl(n|m)) type.
The Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebra, considered as the quotient of the braid group algebra, possesses the commutative set of Jucys--Murphy elements. We show that the set of Jucys--Murphy elements is maximal commutative for the generic Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebra and reconstruct the representation theory of the tower of Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebras.
We review some facts about the representation theory of the Hecke algebra. We adapt for the Hecke algebra case the approach of Okounkov and Vershik which was developed for the representation theory of symmetric groups. We justify an explicit construction of the idempotents in the Hecke algebra in terms of Jucys-Murphy elements. Ocneanu's traces for these idempotents (which can be interpreted as q-dimensions of corresponding irreducible representations of quantum linear groups) are presented.
The Green-Schwarz covariant N=2 superstring action can be consistently deduced as the action of the Wess-Zumino-Witten (WZW) sigma model defined on the direct product of two N=1, D=10 Poincaré supertranslation groups. Generalizing this result, we construct new WZW sigma models on the supergroups with a nonabelian even part and interpret them as models of superstrings moving on the supergroup manifolds. We show that these models are completely integrable and in some special cases possess fermionic kappa-symmetry.
We examine the Hamiltonian structure of nonabelian N=2 superstrings models which are the supergroup manifold extensions of N=2 Green-Schwarz superstring. We find the Kac-Moody and Virasoro type superalgebras of the relevant constraints and present elements of the corresponding quantum theory. A comparison with the type IIA Green-Schwarz superstring moving in a general curved 10-d supergravity background is also given. We find that nonabelian superstrings (for d=10) present a particular case of this general system corresponding to a special choices of the background.
We show that all primitive idempotents for the Brauer algebra B_n(w) can be found by evaluating a rational function in several variables which has the form of a product of R-matrix type factors. This provides an analogue of the fusion procedure for B_n(w).
Multiplicative analogues of the shuffle elements of the braid group rings are introduced; in local representations they give rise to certain graded associative algebras (b-shuffle algebras). For the Hecke and BMW algebras, the (anti)-symmetrizers have simple expressions in terms of the multiplicative shuffles. The (anti)-symmetrizers can be expressed in terms of the highest multiplicative 1-shuffles (for the Hecke and BMW algebras) and in terms of the highest additive 1-shuffles (for the Hecke algebras). The spectra and multiplicities of eigenvalues of the operators of the multiplication by the multiplicative and additive 1-shuffles are examined.
Some ingredients of the BRST construction for quantum Lie algebras are applied to a wider class of quadratic algebras of constraints. We build the BRST charge for a quantum Lie algebra with three generators and ghost-anti-ghosts commuting with constraints. We consider a one-parametric family of quadratic algebras with three generators and show that the BRST charge acquires the conventional form after a redefinition of ghosts. The modified ghosts form a quadratic algebra. The family possesses a non-linear involution, which implies the existence of two independent BRST charges for each algebra in the family. These BRST charges anticommute and form a double BRST complex.
The study of quantum Lie algebras motivates a use of non-canonical ghosts and anti-ghosts for non-linear algebras, like W-algebras. This leads, for the W_3 and W_3^(2) algebras, to the BRST operator having the conventional cubic form.
We give a new construction of primitive idempotents of the Hecke algebras associated with the symmetric groups. The idempotents are found as evaluated products of certain rational functions thus providing a new version of the fusion procedure for the Hecke algebras. We show that the normalization factors which occur in the procedure are related to the Ocneanu--Markov trace of the idempotents.
Quantum Lie algebras (an important class of quadratic algebras arising in the Woronowicz calculus on quantum groups) are generalizations of Lie (super) algebras. Many notions from the theory of Lie (super)algebras admit ``quantum'' generalizations. In particular, there is a BRST operator Q (Q^2=0) which generates the differential in the Woronowicz theory and gives information about (co)homologies of quantum Lie algebras. In our previous papers a recurrence relation for the operator Q for quantum Lie algebras was given and solved. Here we consider the bar complex for q-Lie algebras and its subcomplex of q-antisymmetric chains. We establish a chain map (which is an isomorphism) of the standard complex for a q-Lie algebra to the subcomplex of the antisymmetric chains. The construction requires a set of nontrivial identities in the group algebra of the braid group. We discuss also a generalization of the standard complex to the case when a q-Lie algebra is equipped with a grading operator.
We consider the integrable open chain models formulated in terms of generators of the Hecke algebra. The spectrum of the Hamiltonians for the open Hecke chains of finite size with free boundary conditions is deduced for special (corner type) irreducible representations of the Hecke algebra.
The operator approach to analytical evaluation of multi-loop Feynman diagrams is proposed. We show that the known analytical methods of evaluation of massless Feynman integrals, such as the integration by parts method and the method of "uniqueness" (which is based on the star-triangle relation), can be drastically simplified by using this operator approach. To demonstrate the advantages of the operator method of analytical evaluation of multi-loop Feynman diagrams, we calculate ladder diagrams for the massless $ϕ^3$ theory (analytical results for these diagrams are expressed in terms of multiple polylogarithms). It is shown how operator formalism can be applied to calculation of certain massive Feynman diagrams and investigation of Lipatov integrable chain model.
