On bi-Hamiltonian formulation of the perturbed Kepler problem

The perturbed Kepler problem is shown to be a bi-Hamiltonian system in spite of the fact that the graph of the Hamilton function is not a hypersurface of translation, which is against a necessary condition for the existence of the bi-Hamiltonian structure according to the Fernandes theorem. In fact, both the initial and perturbed Kepler systems are isochronous systems and, therefore, the Fernandes theorem cannot be applied to them.

Simultaneous separation for the Neumann and Chaplygin systems

The Neumann and Chaplygin systems on the sphere are simultaneously separable in variables obtained from the standard elliptic coordinates by the proper Backlund transformation. We also prove that after similar Backlund transformations other curvilinear coordinates on the sphere and on the plane become variables of separations for the system with quartic potential, for the Henon-Heiles system and for the Kowalevski top. It allows us to say about some analog of the hetero Backlund transformations relating different Hamilton-Jacobi equations.

Deformations of the Poisson brackets and the Kowalevski top

Deformations of the known polynomial Poisson pencils associated with the Kowalevski top are studied. As a result we find new variables of separation from the one of the Yehia systems and new bi-Hamiltonian description of the integrable deformation of the Kowalevski gyrostat in two fields proposed by Sokolov and Tsiganov.

On the nonholonomic Stubler model

We discuss two constructions of the Poisson bivectors based on the Euler-Jacobi theorem for the nonholonomic Stubler model, which describes rolling without sliding of a uniform ball on a cylindrical surface.

On the Routh sphere problem

We discuss an embedding of a vector field for the nonholonomic Routh sphere into a subgroup of commuting Hamiltonian vector fields on six dimensional phase space. The corresponding Poisson brackets are reduced to the canonical Poisson brackets on the Lie algebra e(3). It allows us to relate nonholonomic Routh system with the Hamiltonian system on cotangent bundle to the sphere with canonical Poisson structure.

Simple non-Hamiltonian systems with an invariant measure

We propose a simple construction of the non-Hamiltonian dynamical systems possessing an invariant measure. These non-Hamiltonian systems are deformations of the Hamiltonian systems associated with trivial deformations of the canonical Poisson brackets and time transformation. Sometimes these non-Hamiltonian systems can be identified with known nonholonomic systems and, therefore, the results are illustrated through the Chaplygin ball and the Veselova system.

Integrable systems on the sphere associated with genus three algebraic curves

New variables of separation for few integrable systems on the two-dimensional sphere with higher order integrals of motion are considered in detail. We explicitly describe canonical transformations of initial physical variables to the variables of separation and vice versa, calculate the corresponding quadratures and discuss some possible integrable deformations of initial systems.

One invariant measure and different Poisson brackets for two nonholonomic systems

We discuss the nonholonomic Chaplygin and the Borisov-Mamaev-Fedorov systems, for which symplectic forms are different deformations of the square root from the corresponding invariant volume form. In both cases second Poisson bivectors are determined by $L$-tensors with non-zero torsion on the configurational space, in contrast with the well known Eisenhart-Benenti and Turiel constructions.

On one integrable system with a cubic first integral

Recently one integrable model with a cubic first integral of motion has been studied by Valent using some special coordinate system. We describe the bi-Hamiltonian structures and variables of separation for this system.

Addition theorems and the Drach superintegrable systems

We propose new construction of the polynomial integrals of motion related to the addition theorems. As an example we reconstruct Drach systems and get some new two-dimensional superintegrable Stackel systems with third, fifth and seventh order integrals of motion.

On maximally superintegrable systems

Locally any completely integrable system is maximally superintegrable system such as we have the necessary number of the action-angle variables. The main problem is the construction of the single-valued additional integrals of motion on the whole phase space by using these multi-valued action-angle variables. Some constructions of the additional integrals of motion for the Stäckel systems and for the integrable systems related with two different quadratic $r$-matrix algebras are discussed. Among these system there are the open Heisenberg magnet and the open Toda lattices associated with the different root systems.

On bi-hamiltonian geometry of the Lagrange top

We consider three different incompatible bi-Hamiltonian structures for the Lagrange top, which have the same foliation by symplectic leaves. These bivectors may be associated with the different 2-coboundaries in the Poisson-Lichnerowicz cohomology defined by canonical bivector on $e^*(3)$.

On bi-hamiltonian structure of some integrable systems on so*(4)

We classify all the quadratic Poisson structures on $so^*(4)$ and $e^*(3)$, which have the same foliation by symplectic leaves as the canonical Lie-Poisson tensors. The separated variables for the some of the corresponding bi-integrable systems are constructed.

The Poisson bracket compatible with the classical reflection equation algebra

We introduce a family of compatible Poisson brackets on the space of $2\times 2$ polynomial matrices, which contains the reflection equation algebra bracket. Then we use it to derive a multi-Hamiltonian structure for a set of integrable systems that includes the $XXX$ Heisenberg magnet with boundary conditions, the generalized Toda lattices and the Kowalevski top.
