Bosonization of Feigin-Odesskii Poisson varieties

The derived moduli stack of complexes of vector bundles on a Gorenstein Calabi-Yau curve admits a 0-shifted Poisson structure. Feigin-Odesskii Poisson varieties are examples of such moduli spaces over complex elliptic curves. Using moduli stack of chains we construct an auxiliary Poisson varieties with a Poisson morphism from it to a Feigin-Odesskii variety. We call it the \emph{bosonization} of Feigin-Odesskii variety. As an application, we show that the Feigin-Odesskii Poisson brackets on projective spaces (associated with stable bundles of arbitrary rank on elliptic curves) admit no infinitesimal symmetries.

Automorphic functions for nilpotent extensions of curves over finite fields

We define and study the subspace of cuspidal functions for $G$-bundles on a class of nilpotent extensions $C$ of curves over a finite field. We show that this subspace is preserved by the action of a certain noncommutative Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}_{G,C}$. In the case $G=\rm{GL}_2$, we construct a commutative subalgebra in $\mathcal{H}_{G,C}$ of Hecke operators associated with simple divisors. In the case of length 2 extensions and of $G=\rm{GL}_2$, we prove that the space of cuspidal functions (for bundles with a fixed determinant) is finite-dimensional and provide bounds on its dimension. In this case we also construct some Hecke eigenfunctions using the relation to Higgs bundles over the corresponding reduced curve.

Elliptic zastava

We study the elliptic zastava spaces, their versions (twisted, Coulomb, Mirkovic local spaces, reduced) and relations with monowalls moduli spaces and Feigin-Odesskii moduli spaces of $G$-bundles with parabolic structure on an elliptic curve.

Schmidt rank and singularities

We revisit Schmidt's theorem connecting the Schmidt rank of a tensor with the codimension of a certain variety and adapt the proof to the case of arbitrary characteristic. We also find a sharper result of this kind for homogeneous polynomials of degree d (assuming that the characteristic does not divide d(d-1)). We then use this to relate the Schmidt rank of a homogeneous polynomial (resp., a collection of homogeneous polynomials of the same degree) with the codimension of the singular locus of the corresponding hypersurface (resp., intersection of hypersurfaces). This gives an effective version of Ananyan-Hochster's Theorem A from arXiv:1610.09268.

On homological mirror symmetry for chain type polynomials

We consider Takahashi's categorical interpretation of the Berglund-Hubsch mirror symmetry conjecture for invertible polynomials in the case of chain polynomials. Our strategy is based on a stronger claim that the relevant categories satisfy a recursion of directed $A_{\infty}$-categories, which may be of independent interest. We give a full proof of this claim on the B-side. On the A-side we give a detailed sketch of an argument, which falls short of a full proof because of certain missing foundational results in Fukaya-Seidel categories, most notably a generation statement.

Compatible Feigin-Odesskii Poisson brackets

We prove that several Feigin-Odesskii Poisson brackets associated with normal elliptic curves in ${\mathbb P}^n$ are compatible if and only if they are contained in a scroll or in a Veronese surface in ${\mathbb P}^5$ (with an exception of one case when $n=3$). In the case $n=3$ we determine the quartic corresponding to the Schouten bracket of two (non-compatible) Poisson brackets associated with normal elliptic curves $E_1$ and $E_2$.

A Landau-Ginzburg mirror theorem via matrix factorizations

For an in invertible quasihomogeneous singularity $w$ we prove an all-genus mirror theorem establishing an isomorphism between two cohomological field theories. On the $B$-side it is the Saito-Givental theory given by a certain choice of a primitive form. On the $A$-side, it is the reduced matrix factorization CohFT for the dual singularity $w^T$ with the maximal diagonal symmetry group.

Linear subspaces in cubic hypersurfaces

We prove that for any cubic polynomial of slice rank $r$, the intersection of all linear subspaces of minimal codimension contained in the corresponding hypersurface has codimension $\le r^2+\frac{(r+1)^2}{4}+r$ in the affine space. This is deduced from the following result of independent interest. Consider the intersection $I$ of linear ideals $(P_i)$ in $k[x_1,\ldots,x_n]$, with $\dim P_i\le r$. Then the number of quadratic generators of $I$ is $\le r^2$.

Feigin-Odesskii brackets, syzygies, and Cremona transformations

We identify Feigin-Odesskii brackets $q_{n,1}(C)$, associated with a normal elliptic curve of degree $n$, $C\subset {\mathbb P}^{n-1}$, with the skew-symmetric $n\times n$ matrix of quadratic forms introduced by Fisher in arXiv:1510.04327 in connection with some minimal free resolutions related to the secant varieties of $C$. On the other hand, we show that for odd $n$, the generators of the ideal of the secant variety of $C$ of codimension $3$ give a Cremona transformation of ${\mathbb P}^{n-1}$, generalizing the quadro-cubic Cremona transformation of ${\mathbb P}^4$. We identify this transformation with the one considered in arXiv:alg-geom/9712022 and find explict formulas for the inverse transformation. We also find polynomial formulas for Cremona transformations from arXiv:alg-geom/9712022 associated with higher rank bundles on $C$.

Linear subspaces of minimal codimension in hypersurfaces

Let $k$ be a perfect field and let $X\subset {\mathbb P}^N$ be a hypersurface of degree $d$ defined over $k$ and containing a linear subspace $L$ defined over an algebraic closure $\overline{k}$ with $\mathrm{codim}_{{\mathbb P}^N}L=r$. We show that $X$ contains a linear subspace $L_0$ defined over $k$ with $\mathrm{codim}_{{\mathbb P}^N}L\le dr$. We conjecture that the intersection of all linear subspaces (over $\overline{k}$) of minimal codimension $r$ contained in $X$, has codimension bounded above only in terms of $r$ and $d$. We prove this when either $d\le 3$ or $r\le 2$.

Regularity of the superstring supermeasure and the superperiod map

The supermeasure whose integral is the genus $g$ vacuum amplitude of superstring theory is potentially singular on the locus in the moduli space of supercurves where the corresponding even theta-characteristic has nontrivial sections. We show that the supermeasure is actually regular for $g\leq 11$. The result relies on the study of the superperiod map. We also show that the minimal power of the classical Schottky ideal that annihilates the image of the superperiod map is equal to $g$ if $g$ is odd and is equal to $g$ or $g-1$ if $g$ is even.

${\mathbb{A}}^{0|1}$-torsors, quotients by free ${\mathbb{A}}^{0|1}$-actions, and embeddings into $Π$-projective spaces and super-Grassmannians $G(1|1,n|n)$

We study embeddability of superschemes into $Π$-projective spaces and into supergrassmannians $G(1|1,n|n)$. We give some criteria based on the relation with ${\mathbb{A}}^{0|1}$-torsors and ${\mathbb{A}}^{0|1}$-fibrations. We also prove the existence of nice quotients for free actions of ${\mathbb{A}}^{0|1}$ on superschemes.

Schmidt rank of quartics over perfect fields

Let $k$ be a perfect field of characteristic $\neq 2$. We prove that the Schmidt rank (also known as strength) of a quartic polynomial $f$ over $k$ is bounded above in terms of only the Schmidt rank of $f$ over $\overline{k}$, an algebraic closure of $k$.

Homological mirror symmetry for the symmetric squares of punctured spheres

For an appropriate choice of a $\mathbb{Z}$-grading structure, we prove that the wrapped Fukaya category of the symmetric square of a $(k+3)$-punctured sphere, i.e. the Weinstein manifold given as the complement of $(k+3)$ generic lines in $\mathbb{C}P^2$ is quasi-equivalent to the derived category of coherent sheaves on a singular surface $\mathcal{Z}_{2,k}$ constructed as the boundary of a toric Landau-Ginzburg model $(\mathcal{X}_{2,k}, \mathbf{w}_{2,k})$. We do this by first constructing a quasi-equivalence between certain categorical resolutions of both sides and then localising. We also provide a general homological mirror symmetry conjecture concerning all the higher symmetric powers of punctured spheres. The corresponding toric LG-models $(\mathcal{X}_{n,k},\mathbf{w}_{n,k})$ are constructed from the combinatorics of curves on the punctured surface and are related to small toric resolutions of the singularity $x_1\ldots x_{n+1}= v_1\ldots v_k$.
