Electrostatic Description of Five-dimensional SCFTs

In this paper we discuss an infinite class of AdS$_6$ backgrounds in Type IIB supergravity dual to five dimensional SCFTs whose low energy description is in terms of linear quiver theories. The quantisation of the Page charges imposes that each solution is determined once a convex, piece-wise linear function is specified. In the dual field theory, we interpret this function as encoding the ranks of colour and flavour groups in the associated quiver. We check our proposal with several examples and provide general expressions for the holographic central charge and the Wilson loop VEV. Some solutions outside this general class, with less clear quiver interpretation, are also discussed.

Breaking supersymmetry with pure spinors

For several classes of BPS vacua, we find a procedure to modify the PDEs that imply preserved supersymmetry and the equations of motion so that they still imply the latter but not the former. In each case we trace back this supersymmetry-breaking deformation to a distinct modification of the pure spinor equations that provide a geometrical interpretation of supersymmetry. We give some concrete examples: first we generalize the Imamura class of Mink6 solutions by removing a symmetry requirement, and then derive some local and global solutions both before and after breaking supersymmetry.

Hawking Radiation Correlations of Evaporating Black Holes in JT Gravity

We consider the Hawking radiation emitted by an evaporating black hole in JT gravity and compute the entropy of arbitrary subsets of the radiation in the slow evaporation limit, and find a zoo of possible island saddles. The Hawking radiation is shown to have long range correlations. We compute the mutual information between early and late modes and bound from below their squashed entanglement. A small subset of late modes are shown to be correlated with modes in a suitably large subset of the radiation previously emitted as well as later modes. We show how there is a breakdown of the semi-classical approximation in the form of a violation of the Araki-Lieb triangle entropy inequality, if the interior of the black hole and the radiation are considered to be separate systems. Finally, we consider how much of the radiation must be collected, and how early, to recover information thrown into the black hole as it evaporates.

AdS$_3$ solutions with $\mathcal{N}=(3,0)$ from S$^3\times$S$^3$ fibrations

We study warped AdS$_3$ solutions in massive IIA supergravity preserving $\mathcal{N}=(3,0)$ and $\mathcal{N}=(1,0)$ supersymmetry. We consider solutions whose internal spaces decompose as an S$^3\times$S$^3$ fibration and a interval over which the rest of the solution is foliated. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for these solutions to exist, in terms of systems of ordinary differential equations and find several new analytic and numerical examples with internal spaces bounded between D-brane and O-plane behaviors.

On subregion action complexity in AdS$_3$ and in the BTZ black hole

We analytically compute subsystem action complexity for a segment in the BTZ black hole background up to the finite term, and we find that it is equal to the sum of a linearly divergent term proportional to the size of the subregion and of a term proportional to the entanglement entropy. This elegant structure does not survive to more complicated geometries: in the case of a two segments subregion in AdS$_3$, complexity has additional finite contributions. We give analytic results for the mutual action complexity of a two segments subregion.

Mink$_4\times S^2$ Solutions of 10 and 11 Dimensional Supergravity

We complete the classification of Mink$_4$ solutions preserving $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetry and SU(2) R-symmetry parameterised by a round $S^2$ factor. We consider eleven-dimensional supergravity and relax the assumptions of earlier works in type II theories. We show that, using chains of dualities, all solutions of this type can be generated from one of two master classes: an SU(2)-structure in M-theory and a conformal Calabi-Yau in type IIB. Finally, using our results, we recover AdS$_5\times S^2$ solutions in M-theory and construct a compact Minkowski solution with Atiyah-Hitchin singularity.

Minkowski$_4$ $\times$ $S^2$ solutions of IIB supergravity

We classify $\mathcal N = 2$ Minkowski$_4$ solutions of IIB supergravity with an $SU(2)_R$ symmetry geometrically realized by an $S^2$-foliation in the remaining six dimensions. For the various cases of the classification, we reduce the supersymmetric system of equations to PDEs. These cases often accommodate systems of intersecting branes and half-maximally supersymmetric AdS$_{5,6,7}$ solutions when they exist. As an example, we analyze the AdS$_6$ case in more detail, reducing the supersymmetry equations to a single cylindrical Laplace equation. We also recover an already known linear dilaton background dual to the $(1,1)$ Little String Theory (LST) living on NS5-branes, and we find a new Minkowski$_5$ linear dilaton solution from brane intersections. Finally, we also discuss some simple Minkowski$_4$ solutions based on compact conformal Calabi-Yau manifolds.
