On $GL(1|1)$ Higgs bundles

We investigate the moduli space of holomorphic $GL(1|1)$ Higgs bundles over a compact Riemann surface. The supergroup $GL(1|1)$, the simplest non-trivial example beyond abelian cases, provides an ideal setting for developing supergeometric analogues of classical results in Higgs bundle theory. We derive an explicit description of the moduli space and we study the analogue of the Narasimhan-Seshadri theorem as well as the nonabelian Hodge correspondence. Furthermore, we formulate and solve the corresponding Hitchin equations, demonstrating their compatibility with fermionic contributions. As a highlight, we discuss the related Hitchin system on $\mathbb{P}^1$ and its integrability.

$QQ$-systems and tropical geometry

We investigate the system of polynomial equations, known as $QQ$-systems, which are closely related to the so-called Bethe ansatz equations of the XXZ spin chain, using the methods of tropical geometry.

The BV double of a Courant algebroid

We characterize a Courant algebroid with a Calabi-Yau structure as a homotopy BV algebra with certain properties. We explain how it fits into recent double copy constructions relating Yang-Mills homotopy algebras to the ones of Double Field Theory and Gravity.

Geometric realizations of the Bethe ansatz equations

These lecture notes are devoted to the recent progress in the geometric aspects of quantum integrable systems based on quantum groups solved using the Bethe ansatz technique. One part is devoted to their enumerative geometry realization through the quantum K-theory of Nakajima quiver varieties. The other part describes a recently studied $q$-deformation of the correspondence between oper connections and Gaudin models. The notes are based on a minicourse at C.I.M.E. Summer School ``Enumerative geometry, quantisation and moduli spaces," September 04-08, 2023.

The Zoo of Opers and Dualities

We investigate various spaces of $SL(r+1)$-opers and their deformations. For each type of such opers, we study the quantum/classical duality, which relates quantum integrable spin chains with classical solvable many body systems. In this context, quantum/classical dualities serve as an interplay between two different coordinate systems on the space of opers. We also establish correspondences between the underlying oper spaces, which recently had multiple incarnations in symplectic duality and bispectral duality.

3d Mirror Symmetry for Instanton Moduli Spaces

We prove that the Hilbert scheme of $k$ points on $\mathbb{C}^2$ (Hilb$^k[\mathbb{C}^2]$) is self-dual under three-dimensional mirror symmetry using methods of geometry and integrability. Namely, we demonstrate that the corresponding quantum equivariant K-theory is invariant upon interchanging its Kähler and equivariant parameters as well as inverting the weight of the $\mathbb{C}^\times_\hbar$-action. First, we find a two-parameter family $X_{k,l}$ of self-mirror quiver varieties of type A and study their quantum K-theory algebras. The desired quantum K-theory of Hilb$^k[\mathbb{C}^2]$ is obtained via direct limit $l\to\infty$ and by imposing certain periodic boundary conditions on the quiver data. Throughout the proof, we employ the quantum/classical (q-Langlands) correspondence between XXZ Bethe Ansatz equations and spaces of twisted $\hbar$-opers. In the end, we propose the 3d mirror dual for the moduli spaces of torsion-free rank-$N$ sheaves on $\mathbb{P}^2$ with the help of a different (three-parametric) family of type A quiver varieties with known mirror dual.

Super Riemann surfaces and fatgraphs

Our goal is to describe superconformal structures on super Riemann surfaces (SRS), based on data assigned to a fatgraph. We start from the complex structures on punctured $(1|1)$-supermanifolds, characterizing the corresponding moduli and the deformations using Strebel differentials and certain Čech cocycles for a specific covering, which we reproduce from a fatgraph data, consisting of $U(1)$-graph connection and odd parameters at the vertices. Then we consider dual $(1|1)$-supermanifolds and related superconformal structures for $N=2$ super Riemann surfaces. The superconformal structures $N=1$ SRS are computed as the fixed points of involution on supermoduli space of $N=2$ SRS.

Flat $GL(1|1)$-connections and fatgraphs

We study the moduli space of flat $GL(1|1)$-connections on a punctured surface from the point of view of graph connections. To each fatgraph, a system of coordinates is assigned, which involves two bosonic and two fermionic variables per edge, subject to certain relations. In the case of trivalent graphs, we provide a closed explicit formula for the Whitehead moves. In addition, we discuss the invariant Poisson bracket.

Superopers revisited

The relation between special connections on the projective line, called Miura opers, and the spectra of integrable models of Gaudin type provides an important example of the geometric Langlands correspondence. The possible generalization of that correspondence to simple Lie superalgebras is much less studied. Recently some progress has been made in understanding the spectra of Gaudin models and the corresponding Bethe ansatz equations for some simple Lie superalgebras. At the same time, the original example was reformulated in terms of an intermediate object: Miura-Plücker oper. It has a direct relation to the so-called $qq$-systems, the functional form of Bethe ansatz, which, in particular, allows $q$-deformation. In this note, we discuss the notion of superoper and relate it to the examples of $qq$-systems for Lie superalgebras, which were recently studied in the context of Bethe ansatz equations. We also briefly discuss the $q$-deformation of these constructions.

q-Opers, QQ-systems, and Bethe Ansatz II: Generalized Minors

In this paper, we describe a certain kind of $q$-connections on a projective line, namely $Z$-twisted $(G,q)$-opers with regular singularities using the language of generalized minors. In part one arXiv:2002.07344 we explored the correspondence between these $q$-connections and $QQ$-systems/Bethe Ansatz equations. Here we associate to a $Z$-twisted $(G,q)$-oper a class of meromorphic sections of a $G$-bundle, satisfying certain difference equations, which we refer to as generalized $q$-Wronskians. Among other things, we show that the $QQ$-systems and their extensions emerge as the relations between generalized minors, thereby putting the Bethe Ansatz equations in the framework of cluster mutations known in the theory of double Bruhat cells.

Opers on the projective line, Wronskian relations, and the Bethe Ansatz

It is well-known that the spectra of the Gaudin model may be described in terms of solutions of the Bethe Ansatz equations. A conceptual explanation for the appearance of the Bethe Ansatz equations is provided by appropriate $G$-opers: $G$-connections on the projective line with extra structure. In fact, solutions of the Bethe Ansatz equations are parameterized by an enhanced version of opers called Miura opers; here, the opers appearing have only regular singularities. Feigin, Frenkel, Rybnikov, and Toledano Laredo have introduced an inhomogeneous version of the Gaudin model; this model incorporates an additional twist factor, which is an element of the Lie algebra of $G$. They exhibited the Bethe Ansatz equations for this model and gave a geometric interpretation of the spectra in terms of opers with an irregular singularity. In this paper, we consider a new approach to the study of the spectra of the inhomogeneous Gaudin model in terms of a further enhancement of opers called twisted Miura-Plücker opers and a certain system of nonlinear differential equations called the $qq$-system. We show that there is a close relationship between solutions of the inhomogeneous Bethe Ansatz equations and polynomial solutions of the $qq$-system and use this fact to construct a bijection between the set of solutions of the inhomogeneous Bethe Ansatz equations and the set of nondegenerate twisted Miura-Plücker opers. We further prove that as long as certain combinatorial conditions are satisfied, nondegenerate twisted Miura-Plücker opers are in fact Miura opers.

On Wronskians and $qq$-systems

We discuss the $qq$-systems, the functional form of the Bethe ansatz equations for the twisted Gaudin model from a new geometric point of view. We use a concept of $G$-Wronskians, which are certain meromorphic sections of principal $G$-bundles on the projective line. In this context, the $qq$-system, similar to its difference analog, is realized as the relation between generalized minors of the $G$-Wronskian. We explain the link between $G$-Wronskians and twisted $G$-oper connections, which are the traditional source for the $qq$-systems.

Quantum K-theory of Quiver Varieties and Many-Body Systems

We define quantum equivariant K-theory of Nakajima quiver varieties. We discuss type A in detail as well as its connections with quantum XXZ spin chains and trigonometric Ruijsenaars-Schneider models. Finally we study a limit which produces a K-theoretic version of results of Givental and Kim, connecting quantum geometry of flag varieties and Toda lattice.

Super McShane identity

The authors derive a McShane identity for once-punctured super tori. Relying upon earlier work on super Teichmüller theory by the last two-named authors, they further develop the supergeometry of these surfaces and establish asymptotic growth rate of their length spectra.

Toroidal q-Opers

We define and study the space of $q$-opers associated with Bethe equations for integrable models of XXZ type with quantum toroidal algebra symmetry. Our construction is suggested by the study of the enumerative geometry of cyclic quiver varieties, in particular, the ADHM moduli spaces. We define $(\overline{GL}(\infty),q)$-opers with regular singularities and then, by imposing various analytic conditions on singularities, arrive at the desired Bethe equations for toroidal $q$-opers.

q-Opers, QQ-Systems, and Bethe Ansatz

We introduce the notions of $(G,q)$-opers and Miura $(G,q)$-opers, where $G$ is a simply-connected complex simple Lie group, and prove some general results about their structure. We then establish a one-to-one correspondence between the set of $(G,q)$-opers of a certain kind and the set of nondegenerate solutions of a system of Bethe Ansatz equations. This may be viewed as a $q$DE/IM correspondence between the spectra of a quantum integrable model (IM) and classical geometric objects ($q$-differential equations). If $\mathfrak{g}$ is simply-laced, the Bethe Ansatz equations we obtain coincide with the equations that appear in the quantum integrable model of XXZ-type associated to the quantum affine algebra $U_q \widehat{\mathfrak{g}}$. However, if $\mathfrak{g}$ is non-simply laced, then these equations correspond to a different integrable model, associated to $U_q {}^L\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}$ where $^L\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}$ is the Langlands dual (twisted) affine algebra. A key element in this $q$DE/IM correspondence is the $QQ$-system that has appeared previously in the study of the ODE/IM correspondence and the Grothendieck ring of the category ${\mathcal O}$ of the relevant quantum affine algebra.

$(SL(N),q)$-opers, the $q$-Langlands correspondence, and quantum/classical duality

A special case of the geometric Langlands correspondence is given by the relationship between solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations for the Gaudin model and opers - connections on the projective line with extra structure. In this paper, we describe a deformation of this correspondence for $SL(N)$. We introduce a difference equation version of opers called $q$-opers and prove a $q$-Langlands correspondence between nondegenerate solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations for the XXZ model and nondegenerate twisted $q$-opers with regular singularities on the projective line. We show that the quantum/classical duality between the XXZ spin chain and the trigonometric Ruijsenaars-Schneider model may be viewed as a special case of the $q$-Langlands correspondence. We also describe an application of $q$-opers to the equivariant quantum $K$-theory of the cotangent bundles to partial flag varieties.

Homotopy Algebras of Differential (Super)forms in Three and Four Dimensions

We consider various $A_{\infty}$-algebras of differential (super)forms, which are related to gauge theories and demonstrate explicitly how certain reformulations of gauge theories lead to the transfer of the corresponding $A_{\infty}$-structures. In $N=2$ 3D space we construct the homotopic counterpart of the de Rham complex, which is related to the superfield formulation of the $N=2$ Chern-Simons theory.
