Coisotropic Triples, Reduction and Classical Limit

Coisotropic reduction from Poisson geometry and deformation quantization is cast into a general and unifying algebraic framework: we introduce the notion of coisotropic triples of algebras for which a reduction can be defined. This allows to construct also a notion of bimodules for such triples leading to bicategories of bimodules for which we have a reduction functor as well. Morita equivalence of coisotropic triples of algebras is defined as isomorphism in the ambient bicategory and characterized explicitly. Finally, we investigate the classical limit of coisotropic triples of algebras and their bimodules and show that classical limit commutes with reduction in the bicategory sense.

Comparison and Continuity of Wick-type Star Products on certain coadjoint orbits

In this paper we discuss continuity properties of the Wick-type star product on the 2-sphere, interpreted as a coadjoint orbit. Star products on coadjoint orbits in general have been constructed by different techniques. We compare the constructions of Alekseev-Lachowska and Karabegov and we prove that they agree in general. In the case of the 2-sphere we establish the continuity of the star product, thereby allowing for a completion to a Fréchet algebra.

$L_\infty$-resolutions and twisting in the curved context

In this short note we describe an alternative global version of the twisting procedure used by Dolgushev to prove formality theorems. This allows us to describe the maps of Fedosov resolutions, which are key factors of the formality morphisms, in terms of a twist of the fiberwise quasi-isomorphisms induced by the local formality theorems proved by Kontsevich and Shoikhet. The key point consists in considering $L_\infty$-resolutions of the Fedosov resolutions obtained by Dolgushev and an adapted notion of Maurer-Cartan element. This allows us to perform the twisting of the quasi-isomorphism intertwining them in a global manner.

A Universal Construction of Universal Deformation Formulas, Drinfel'd Twists and their Positivity

In this paper we provide an explicit construction of star products on U(g)-module algebras by using the Fedosov approach. This construction allows us to give a constructive proof to Drinfel'd theorem and to obtain a concrete formula for Drinfel'd twist. We prove that the equivalence classes of twists are in one-to-one correspondence with the second Chevalley-Eilenberg cohomology of the Lie algebra g. Finally, we show that for Lie algebras with Kähler structure we obtain a strongly positive universal deformation of *-algebras by using a Wick-type deformation. This results in a positive Drinfel'd twist.

Universal Deformation Formula, Formality and Actions

In this paper we provide a quantization via formality of Poisson actions of a triangular Lie algebra $(\mathfrak g,r)$ on a smooth manifold $M$. Using the formality of polydifferential operators on Lie algebroids we obtain a deformation quantization of $M$ together with a quantum group $\mathscr{U}_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})$ and a map of associated DGLA's. This motivates a definition of quantum action in terms of $L_\infty$-morphisms which generalizes the one given by Drinfeld.

Convergence of the Gutt Star Product

In this work we consider the Gutt star product viewed as an associative deformation of the symmetric algebra S^\bullet(g) over a Lie algebra g and discuss its continuity properties: we establish a locally convex topology on S^\bullet(g) such that the Gutt star product becomes continuous. Here we have to assume a mild technical condition on g: it has to be an Asymptotic Estimate Lie algebra. This condition is e.g. fulfilled automatically for all finite-dimensional Lie algebras. The resulting completion of the symmetric algebra can be described explicitly and yields not only a locally convex algebra but also the Hopf algebra structure maps inherited from the universal enveloping algebra are continuous. We show that all Hopf algebra structure maps depend analytically on the deformation parameter. The construction enjoys good functorial properties.

Obstructions for Twist Star Products

In this short note we point out that not every star product is induced by a Drinfel'd twist by showing that not every Poisson structure is induced by a classical $r$-matrix. Examples include the higher genus symplectic Pretzel surfaces and the symplectic sphere $\mathbb{S}^2$.

Reduction of pre-Hamiltonian actions

We prove a reduction theorem for the tangent bundle of a Poisson manifold $(M, π)$ endowed with a pre-Hamiltonian action of a Poisson Lie group $(G, π_G)$. In the special case of a Hamiltonian action of a Lie group, we are able to compare our reduction to the classical Marsden-Ratiu reduction of $M$. If the manifold $M$ is symplectic and simply connected, the reduced tangent bundle is integrable and its integral symplectic groupoid is the Marsden-Weinstein reduction of the pair groupoid $M \times \bar{M}$.

Rigidity of infinitesimal momentum maps

In this paper we prove rigidity theorems for Poisson Lie group actions on Poisson manifolds. In particular, we prove that close infinitesimal momentum maps associated to Poisson Lie group actions are equivalent using a normal form theorem for SCI spaces. When the Poisson structure of the acted manifold is integrable, this yields rigidity also for lifted actions to the symplectic groupoid.

Quantization of Poisson-Hamiltonian systems

In this paper we introduce the concept of Hamiltonian system in the canonical and Poisson settings. We will discuss the quantization of the Hamiltonian systems in the Poisson context, using formal deformation quantization and quantum group theories.

Poisson Reduction

In this paper we develope a theory of reduction for classical systems with Poisson Lie groups symmetries using the notion of momentum map introduced by Lu. The local description of Poisson manifolds and Poisson Lie groups and the properties of Lu's momentum map allow us to define a Poisson reduced space.

Uniqueness of the Momentum map

We give a detailed discussion about existence and uniqueness of Lu's momentum map. More precisely, we introduce the infinitesimal momentum map, and we study its properties. This allows us to describe the theory of reconstruction of the momentum map from the infinitesimal one. We provide the conditions for the uniqueness of the momentum map.

Lectures on Deformation quantization of Poisson manifolds

These notes are based on the course given at the School of Geometry, University Kasdi Merbah (Ouargla) 2012. The aim of the course was the deformation quantization of Poisson Lie groups. In these notes we only review Kontsevich's formality theorem.

On the classical and quantum momentum map

In this thesis we study the classical and quantum momentum maps and the theory of reduction. We focus on the notion of momentum map in Poisson geometry and we discuss the classification of the momentum map in this framework. Furthermore, we describe the so-called Poisson Reduction, a technique that allows us to reduce the dimension of a manifold in presence of symmetries implemented by Poisson actions.

A high order $q$-difference equation for $q$-Hahn multiple orthogonal polynomials

A high order linear $q$-difference equation with polynomial coefficients having $q$-Hahn multiple orthogonal polynomials as eigenfunctions is given. The order of the equation is related to the number of orthogonality conditions that these polynomials satisfy. Some limiting situations when $q\to1$ are studied. Indeed, the difference equation for Hahn multiple orthogonal polynomials given in \cite{Lee} is corrected and obtained as a limiting case.
