QCD Sum Rule Analysis of Triply Heavy $(Q\bar{Q})(Q\bar{q})$ Tetraquark States with $J^P=0^{\pm}$

Within the framework of QCD sum rules, we systematically investigate the mass spectra and possible decay patterns of the $(c\bar{c})(c\bar{q})$ and $(b\bar{b})(b\bar{q})$ tetraquark states with quantum numbers $J^{P}=0^{\pm}$. Based on two distinct color configurations, $[8_c]_{Q\bar{Q}} \otimes [8_c]_{Q\bar{q}}$ and $[1_c]_{Q\bar{Q}} \otimes [1_c]_{Q\bar{q}}$, we construct 18 interpolating currents for these states, and obtain stable sum rules for a subset of them. By calculating the corresponding two-point correlation functions, we extract their mass spectra. For the $(c\bar{c})(c\bar{q})$ system, we identify four possible tetraquark states: two with $J^{P}=0^+$, namely $T_{3c,0}(4760)$ and $T_{3c,0}(5000)$, and two with $J^{P}=0^-$, denoted as $T_{3c,0}(5040)$ and $T_{3c,0}(5370)$. For the $(b\bar{b})(b\bar{q})$ system, the extracted masses are found to lie in the ranges $13.72$--$14.02$ GeV for the $J^{P}=0^+$ states and $13.90$--$14.22$ GeV for the $J^{P}=0^-$ states. We further analyze their possible decay modes. Our results indicate that $T_{3c,0}(5000)$, $T_{3c,0}(5040)$, and $T_{3c,0}(5370)$ can decay into a charmonium state and a charmed meson, and are therefore expected to have appreciable decay widths. By contrast, $T_{3c,0}(4760)$ and all predicted $(b\bar{b})(b\bar{q})$ tetraquark states are expected to be relatively narrow, since the corresponding two-body strong decays via the fall-apart mechanism are kinematically forbidden. Therefore, $T_{3c,0}(4760)$ and all predicted $(b\bar{b})(b\bar{q})$ tetraquark states are promising candidates for experimental searches in final states containing a $D$ or a $\bar{B}$ meson, accompanied by light hadrons or a photon.

Isospin-breaking contribution to the model-independent axion-photon-photon coupling in $U(3)$ chiral theory

We pursue the calculation of the model-independent component of the axion-photon-photon coupling in the $U(3)$ chiral perturbation theory up to next-to-leading order, with the emphasis on the isospin breaking effect. The mixing of the $π^0$-$η$-$η'$-axion system is revised as well by working out the complete linear isospin-breaking terms. Our calculation shows that the isospin-breaking correction to the axion-photon-photon coupling amounts to more than 15%, comparing with the result in the isospin limit.

Unified study of two-meson and axion-meson production from semileptonic tau decays within resonance chiral framework

We carry out the joint study of the semileptonic tau decays into the two-meson and axion-meson channels, viz. $τ^-\to (P_1P_2)^-ν_τ$ and $τ^-\to π^-(K^-) aν_τ$ within the framework of resonance chiral theory by including the model-independent axion-gluon-gluon interaction. By utilizing the $π^0$-$η$-$η'$-axion mixing matrix elements from recent studies, we calculate the pertinent two-pseudoscalar boson form factors. To simultaneously fit the experimental spectra measured in the Cabibbo allowed $τ^-\to π^-π^0ν_τ$ process and also the Cabibbo suppressed $τ^-\to(K_Sπ^-, K^-η)ν_τ$ ones, we determine all the relevant hadron resonance parameters. Then we give predictions to the spectra and branching ratios for various channels, such as $τ^-\to(π^-η,π^-η',K^-η',π^-a,K^-a)ν_τ$. We also calculate the forward-backward asymmetries for all the aforementioned channels. The interplay between the scalar and vector form factors for different observables is analyzed in detail. Our theoretical predictions supply useful guidance to the future tau experiments, such as those at Belle-II, Super Tau-Charm Facility and Tera-Z factory of Circular Electron-Positron Collider.

Revisit of the electromagnetic correction to $τ\toππν_τ$ and its implication for muon $g-2$ based on $τ$ data

In this work we focus on the evaluation of the leading-order hadronic vacuum polarization contribution from the $ππ$ channel to the muon anomalous magnetic moment $a_μ$ by using the experimental $τ\toππν_τ$ data. The isospin breaking corrections play the decisive role in this approach of computing $a_μ$. One of such important isospin breaking sources is the long-distance electromagnetic correction factor $G_{\rm EM}$ of the $τ\toππν_τ$ process from the real photon radiation. The latter effect can be calculated from the $τ\toππν_τγ$ amplitude, which is revised in this work within the resonance chiral theory by simultaneously including the even-intrinsic-parity and odd-intrinsic-parity resonance operators. We update the determination of the only unknown resonance coupling through the $ω\toπ^0π^0γ$ decay by including contributions from both the vector and scalar resonances. By taking other remaining contributions from the muon $g-2$ White Paper 2025, we further revise the complete value of $a_μ$, which turns out to deviate from the newest world average result after Fermilab's measurement at the level of 2.7 $σ$.

Unified study of scalar, vector and tensor two-meson form factors in $U(3)$ resonance chiral theory

We perform a systematic study of two-meson form factors of the scalar, vector, and anti-symmetric tensor types within the framework of the $U(3)$ resonance chiral theory. The complete perturbative form factors in both the strangeness-conserving and strangeness-changing channels are calculated by incorporating one-loop light-flavor pseudoscalar meson contributions and tree-level resonance exchanges. With these newly calculated chiral results, we construct the corresponding unitarized form factors by incorporating meson-meson final-state interactions. The parameter values obtained in previous meson-meson scattering studies are then exploited to predict the corresponding form factors. Different types of form factors are found to exhibit rather distinct resonance structures across channels.

QCD sum rule predictions on gluonic tetraquark states with $J^{PC}=0^{+-},0^{--}$ and $1^{\pm \pm}$

In this work, we present a systematic calculation of the mass spectrum for tetraquark hybrid states, focusing on the $8_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes 8_{[G]}\otimes 8_{[c\bar{c}]}$ color configuration, within the framework of QCD sum rules. As an extension of our previous work on $0^{++}$ and $0^{-+}$ states, we now construct 18 distinct interpolating currents with $J^{PC} = 0^{+-}$, $0^{--}$, and $1^{\pm\pm}$. Using operator product expansion (OPE) techniques and including nonperturbative contributions up to dimension six, we obtain key results: for the $0^{+-}$, $1^{--}$, and $1^{-+}$ states, the predicted masses lie in the range of $7.2-7.3$ GeV, while the $1^{+-}$ and $1^{++}$ states have slightly lower masses, between 6.9 and 7.1 GeV. These predictions provide strong support for the possible existence of an $8_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes 8_{[G]}\otimes 8_{[c\bar{c}]}$ component within the di-$J/ψ$ structure reported by LHCb. Moreover, our analogous calculations for tetrabottom hybrid states yield mass ranges of $19.4-19.5$ GeV (for $0^{+-}$, $1^{--}$, and $1^{-+}$) and $19.2-19.3$ GeV (for $1^{+-}$ and $1^{++}$), offering crucial references for future searches.

A novel configuration of gluonic tetraquark state

Inspired by the experimental measurement of the charmed hadronic state X(6900), we calculate the mass spectra of tetraquark hybrid states with configuration of \([8_{c}]_{Q\bar{Q}} \otimes [8_{c}]_{G} \otimes [8_{c}]_{Q\bar{Q}}\) in color, by virtue of QCD sum rules. The two feasible types of currents with quantum numbers $J^{PC} = 0^{++}$ and $0^{-+}$ are investigated, in which the contributions from operators up to dimension six are taken into account in operator product expansion (OPE). In the end, we find that, in charm sector, the tetracharm hybrid states with quantum number \(0^{++}\) has a mass of about \(6.98^{+0.16}_{-0.14} \, \text{GeV}\), while \(0^{-+}\) state mass is about \(7.26^{+0.16}_{-0.15} \, \text{GeV}\). The results overlap with the experimental observations, suggesting potential tetracharm hybrid interpretations. In bottom sector, calculation shows that the masses of tetrabottom hybrid states with quantum numbers $0^{++}$ and $0^{-+}$ are \(19.30^{+0.16}_{-0.17} \, \text{GeV}\) and \(19.50^{+0.17}_{-0.17} \, \text{GeV}\), respectively, which are left for future experimental confirmation.

Fast reversal of Néel vectors in antiferromagnets via domain-wall motion driven by vertically injected spin currents

In this work, we investigate the steady propagation of 180-degree domain walls (180DWs) of Néel vectors in thin antiferromagnetic strips under perpendicularly injected spin currents with various polarization orientations. Our results show that only spin currents polarized normally to the strip plane guarantee a quick and steady rigid flow of 180DWs, thus realize a fast reversal of Néel vectors in antiferromagnets (AFMs). Different from the common ``current-in-plane'' geometry which is feasible only for metallic AFMs, our ``current-out-of-plane'' layout under investigation can further apply to insulating AFMs (which are more common in real applications) via quantum tunneling effect. Results from this work paves the way for fine control of Néel vectors in (both metallic and insulating) AFM strips and further development of novel magnetic nanodevices based on them.

Fully Charmed Tetraquark States in $8_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes8_{[c\bar{c}]}$ Color Structure via QCD Sum Rules

Stimulated by the recent experimental results on the fully-charm tetraquark states, we systematically calculate the mass spectra of the fully-charm tetraquark states in $8_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes8_{[c\bar{c}]}$ color configuration via QCD sum rules. By constructing nine $8_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes8_{[c\bar{c}]}$ type currents with quantum numbers $J^{PC}=0^{-+},0^{--},1^{-+},1^{+-},1^{--}$ and $2^{++}$, we perform analytic calculation up to dimension six in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE). We find the fully-charm tetraquark states with $J^{PC}=1^{+-},2^{++}$ lie around 6.48 $\sim$ 6.62 GeV while the fully-charm tetraquark states with $J^{PC}=0^{-+},0^{--},1^{--},1^{-+}$ are about 6.85 $\sim$ 7.02 GeV. Notably, the mass predictions for the $c\bar{c}c\bar{c}$ tetraquarks, specifically those with $J^{PC}=2^{++}$, align with the broad structure identified by LHCb. Moreover, the masses of fully-charm tetraquarks with $J^{PC}=0^{-+}$ and $1^{-+}$ are anticipated to match closely with the mass of X(6900), considering the margin of error. Such findings hint at the presence of some $8_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes8_{[c\bar{c}]}$ components within the di-$J/ψ$ structures observed by LHCb. The predictions for tetraquark states with $J^{PC}=0^{--},1^{+-},1^{--}$ may be accessible in the future BelleII, Super-B, PANDA, and LHCb experiments.

Revisit of tensor-meson nonet in resonance chiral theory

We study the properties of the lowest multiplet of light-flavor tensor meson resonances, i.e. $f_2(1270)$, $a_2(1320)$, $K_2^*(1430)$, and $f_2'(1525)$, within the resonance chiral theory approach. The higher-order resonance chiral operators, including the light-quark mass and $1/N_C$ corrections, are simultaneously incorporated in our study. The use of resonance chiral expressions allows us to analyze not only the relevant experimental data but also in the meantime the lattice results at unphysical quark masses, including the masses of the lowest multiplet of tensor resonances and their decay widths into two pseudoscalar mesons. In addition, the radiative decays of the tensor resonances into one photon plus one pseudoscalar meson and two photons are also studied.

Slonczewski-spin-current driven dynamics of 180$^{\circ}$ domain walls in spin valves with interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

Steady-flow dynamics of ferromagnetic 180$^{\circ}$ domain walls (180DWs) in long and narrow spin valves (LNSVs) with interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (IDMI) under spin currents with Slonczewski $g-$factor are examined. Depending on the magnetization orientation of polarizers (pinned layers of LNSVs), dynamics of 180DWs in free layers of LNSVs are subtly manipulated: (i) For parallel polarizers, stronger spin polarization leads to higher Walker limit thus ensures the longevity of faster steady flows. Meantime, IDMI induces both the stable-region flapping and its width enlargement. (ii) For perpendicular polarizers, a wandering of 180DWs between bi- and tri-stability persists with the criticality adjusted by the IDMI. (iii) For planar-transverse polarizers, IDMI makes the stable region of steady flows completely asymmetric and further imparts a high saturation wall velocity under large current density. Under the last two polarizers, the ultrahigh differential mobility of 180DWs survives. The combination of Slonczewski spin current and IDMI provides rich possibilities of fine controlling on 180DW dynamics, hence opens avenues for magnetic nanodevices with rich functionality and high robustness.

Effective-Lagrangian study of $ψ'(J/ψ) \to VP$ and the insights into $ρπ$ puzzle

Within the effective Lagrangian approach, we carry out a unified study of the $J/ψ(ψ')\to VP$, $J/ψ\to Pγ$ and relevant radiative decays of light-flavor hadrons. Large amount of experimental data, including the various decay widths and electromagnetic form factors, are fitted to constrain the numerous hadron couplings. Relative strengths between the strong and electromagnetic interactions are revealed in the $J/ψ\to VP$ and $ψ' \to VP$ processes. The effect from the strong interaction is found to dominate in the $J/ψ\to ρπ$ decay, while the electromagnetic interaction turns out to be the dominant effect in $ψ' \to ρπ$ decay, which provides an explanation to the $ρπ$ puzzle. For the $J/ψ\to K^{*}\bar{K}+\bar{K}^{*}K$ and $ψ' \to K^{*}\bar{K}+\bar{K}^{*}K$, the former process is dominated by the strong interactions, and the effects from the electromagnetic parts are found to be comparable with those of strong interactions in the latter process. Different $SU(3)$ breaking effects from the electromagnetic parts appear in the charged and neutral channels for the $ψ' \to K^{*}\bar{K}+\bar{K}^{*}K$ processes explain the rather different ratios between $B(ψ'\to K^{*+}K^{-}+K^{*-}K^{+})/B(J/ψ\to K^{*+}K^{-}+K^{*-}K^{+})$ and $B(ψ'\to K^{*0}\bar{K}^{0}+\bar{K}^{*0}K^{0})/B(J/ψ\to K^{*0}\bar{K}^{0}+\bar{K}^{*0}K^{0})$.

Triple-product asymmetry in the radiative two-pion tau decay

In this work, we perform a detailed study of the $τ^-\toπ^-π^0γν$ decay process within the resonance chiral theory. We pay special attention to the triple-product asymmetry in the $τ^-\toπ^-π^0γν$ process. The minimal resonance chiral Lagrangian and the odd-intrinsic parity resonance operators are simultaneously included to calculate the decay amplitudes. Various invariant-mass distributions in the $π^-π^0$, $π^-γ$ and $π^0γ$ systems are studied and they reveal different resonance dynamics. We further predict the intriguing nonzero triple-product asymmetry distributions, which may provide useful guidelines for future experimental measurements conducted at the Belle-II and super tau-charm facilities.

Atomic mass, Bjorken variable and scale dependence of quark transport coefficient in Drell-Yan process for proton incident on nucleus

By means of the nuclear parton distributions determined without the fixed-target Drell-Yan experimental data and the analytic expression of quenching weight based on BDMPS formalism, a next-to-leading order analyses are performed on the Drell-Yan differential cross section ratios from Fermilab E906 and E866 Collaborations. It is found that the calculated results with only the nuclear effects of parton distribution are not in agreement with the E866 and E906 experimental data. The incoming parton energy loss effect can not be ignored in the nuclear Drell-Yan reactions. The predicted results indicate that with the quark transport coefficient as a constant, the suppression due to the target nuclear geometry effect is approximately 19.24% for the quark transport coefficient. It is shown that we should consider the target nuclear geometry effect in studying the Drell-Yan reaction on nuclear targets. On the basis of Bjorken variable and scale dependence of the quark transport coefficient, the atomic mass dependence is incorporated. The quark transport coefficient is determined as a function of the atomic mass, Bjorken variable $x_2$ and scale $Q^2$ by the global fit of the experimental data. The determined constant factor $\hat{q}_0$ of the quark transport coefficient is $0.061\pm0.004 {\rm GeV^2/fm}$. It is found that the atomic mass dependence has a remarkable impact on the constant factor $\hat{q}_0$ in the quark transport coefficient in cold nuclear matter.

Bjorken variable and scale dependence of quark transport coefficient in semi-inclusive lepton-production of hadron off nuclei

Nuclear modification of hadron production in deep inelastic lepton-nucleus scattering can be applied to study the parton propagation mechanism in cold nuclear matter. By means of the analytic parameterization of quenching weight based on BDMPS formalism with the target nuclear geometry effect, the leading-order computations for hadron multiplicity ratios are performed with comparison to the HERMES charged pions production data on the quarks hadronization occurring outside the nucleus. The relation is discovered between quark transport coefficient and the measurable kinematic variables in deep inelastic scattering. Four models are proposed on the quark transport coefficient. The constant model, the power-law model and the double power-law model can be ruled out because of the experimental fact that the transverse momentum broadening increases as a function of the photon virtuality $Q^2$. The quark transport coefficient is determined as a function of the Bjorken variable $x$ and scale $Q^2$. The trend of quark transport coefficient in respect of Bjorken variable $x$ and scale $Q^2$ is qualitatively in partial agreement with HERMES experimental data on transverse momentum broadening. It is hoped that our effort is conducive to understanding of jet quenching phenomenon in relativistic heavy ion collisions.

Bjorken variable and scale dependence of quark transport coefficient in Drell-Yan process for proton incident on nucleus

The Drell-Yan process for proton incident on nuclei is an excellent place for deeply studying the parton propagation in a nucleus. By means of the nuclear parton distributions determined only with lepton-nuclear deep inelastic scattering experimental data and the analytic parameterization of quenching weight based on BDMPS formalism, a phenomenological analysis of the nuclear Drell-Yan differential cross section ratio as a function of Feynman variable is performed from Fermilab E906 and E866 experimental data. With the nuclear geometry effect on nuclear Drell-Yan process and the quark transport coefficient as a constant, our predictions are in good agreement with the experimental measurements. It is found that nuclear geometry effect has a significant impact on the quark transport coefficient in cold nuclear matter. It is necessary to consider the detailed nuclear geometry in studying the nuclear Drell-Yan process. Our calculated results reveal that the difference in the values of quark transport coefficient exists from E906 and E866 experiments. However, confirming the conclusion that the quark transport coefficient depends on the target-quark momentum fraction, still need more accurate experimental data on the Drell-Yan differential cross section ratio in the future. Three models are proposed and discussed for the quark transport coefficient as a function of the measurable kinematic variables. The quark transport coefficient $\hat{q}$ is determined as a function of the Bjorken variable $x_2$ and scale $Q^2$. It is hoped that the parametrization form of quark transport coefficient in the cold nuclear medium can help to think about the parton propagation mechanism in nuclear matter.

Updated study of the $η$-$η'$ mixing and the thermal properties of light pseudoscalar mesons at low temperatures

Within the framework of the $U(3)$ chiral perturbation theory, we revisit the masses, decay constants and the mixing parameters of the light pseudoscalar mesons $π, K, η$ and $η'$. The low energy constants up to next-to-next-to-leading order are determined by including the light-quark mass dependences of the various quantities from different lattice QCD simulations and relevant phenomenological inputs. Then we study the finite-temperature behaviors of the masses of the light pseudoscalar mesons. The thermal behaviors of the $η$-$η'$ mixing angles in singlet-octet and quark-flavor bases are also explored. While the masses of the $π, K$, and $η$ are increased when increasing the temperatures, the mass of the $η'$ turns out to be slightly decreased in the low-temperature region.

Muon conversion to electron in nuclei within the BLMSSM

In a supersymmetric extension of the standard model with local gauged baryon and lepton numbers (BLMSSM), there are new sources for lepton flavor violation, because the right-handed neutrinos, new gauginos and Higgs are introduced. We investigate muon conversion to electron in nuclei within the BLMSSM in detail. The numerical results indicate that the $μ\rightarrow e $ conversion rates in nuclei within the BLMSSM can reach the experimental upper bound, which may be detected in the future experiments.
