WaveOp-LiteFM: Lightweight Neural-Operator Flow Matching for Satellite-to-Radar Precipitation Retrieval

Satellite-to-radar (S2R) retrieval refers to estimating ground-based radar precipitation from geostationary satellite observations, enabling precipitation monitoring in regions with limited radar coverage. While recent generative flow matching models have greatly advanced retrieval quality, they face a critical trade-off: pixel-space formulations suffer from the prohibitive computational costs of attention-based U-Net velocity networks, whereas latent-space modeling often sacrifices fine precipitation details or struggles with sparse targets. To address this dilemma, we propose WaveOp-LiteFM, a lightweight neural operator flow matching framework for S2R retrieval. Our approach introduces a novel velocity backbone built upon the spectral-local-wavelet (SLW) block, enabling efficient and stable flow matching in pixel space. Specifically, the SLW block disentangles precipitation features into three distinct frequency regimes: (i) the spectral branch captures large-scale stratiform organization; (ii) the local branch models short-range interactions; and (iii) the wavelet branch enhances sharp structures while suppressing noisy high-frequency responses. Building on this design, an input-adaptive gating mechanism dynamically fuses features from the three functional branches. Furthermore, a skip gate efficiently reintegrates encoder features through additive fusion within the decoder, avoiding the costly channel concatenation used in conventional U-Net architectures. Experiments on the SEVIR and Southeast China datasets show that WaveOp-LiteFM achieves state-of-the-art retrieval performance while substantially reducing computational costs. Beyond benchmark evaluation, large-area inference over China, including a recent Typhoon Bavi case, demonstrates that WaveOp-LiteFM maintains reliable retrieval quality in large-scale real-world scenarios.

Learning Continuous Regional Temperature Fields with Lead-Time and Resolution Queries

Accurate regional near-surface temperature forecasting is fundamental to short-range weather services and downstream risk assessment. Existing deep learning-based regional forecasters commonly produce a fixed set of future frames on a prescribed grid, limiting their use when forecast products must be evaluated at query-dependent lead times or display resolutions. To overcome these fixed-output constraints, we formulate regional T2M forecasting as query-conditioned continuous spatiotemporal temperature field evaluation and propose the Continuous Spatiotemporal Temperature Forecaster (CSTF), a neural field that turns forecast lead time and output resolution into explicit queries when evaluating 2-m temperature (T2M). Specifically, CSTF first encodes multivariable ERA5 histories into latent meteorological states and then decodes T2M as a coordinate-based field. Accordingly, spatial location, forecast lead time, and output resolution are introduced as queries, enabling standard hourly forecasts, intermediate lead-time diagnostics, and resolution-controllable outputs within a unified field-evaluation framework. Furthermore, to maintain coherence across flexible field queries, we design spatial-gradient, temporal-difference, and scale-consistency objectives that regularize regional thermal structures, lead-wise evolution, and cross-resolution agreement. Experiments on the Southeast China 0-6 h ERA5-Land benchmark demonstrate that CSTF achieves the best aggregate deterministic skill, including a 17.0 percent reduction in Bias, with global-scope diagnostics further illustrating flexible lead-time and resolution-controllable inference.

DynamicManip: Enabling Dynamic Manipulation from a Single Static Demonstration

Dynamic manipulation is a critical capability for robots operating in complex and dynamic environments, where robots must interact with objects that are moving or require rapid adjustments. However, learning models for dynamic manipulation tasks face two major challenges: (1) the combinatorial complexity of dynamic scenarios leads to substantial data requirements, and (2) rapid variations in dynamics require real-time and accurate policy execution. In this paper, we propose DynamicManip to address these challenges through an efficient data augmentation pipeline and a low-latency imitation policy. We first propose a static-to-dynamic augmentation pipeline that synthesizes diverse dynamic manipulation demonstrations from a single static demonstration. Second, we introduce a dynamic-aware adaptive policy that adjusts its inference frequency according to task dynamics, enabling responsive and effective dynamic manipulation. Third, we build a dynamic manipulation benchmark, which includes diverse dynamic tasks with an automatic evaluation system for scalable and consistent assessment. Extensive experiments in both simulation and the real world demonstrate that DynamicManip not only provides significant improvements in data efficiency but also achieves better performance in dynamic manipulation tasks, with a mean success rate 18.4 percentage points higher and policy-query latency 32.9% lower.

LangRetrieval: Language-Guided Self-Evolving Satellite-to-Radar Retrieval via CSI-Driven Reward

Satellite-to-radar (S2R) retrieval estimates ground radar precipitation from geostationary satellite observations, providing a critical solution for precipitation monitoring in radar-sparse regions. However, S2R retrieval is intrinsically ill-posed: similar cloud-top radiances can correspond to distinct precipitation regimes, storm organizations, and surface intensities, which are difficult to uniquely determine the underlying meteorological state from local spectral cues alone. Meteorological semantics offer complementary scene-level information that can help resolve this ambiguity. Yet existing static semantic conditioning is often insufficient, as externally predefined semantics cannot adapt to dynamic convective scenes or align with retrieval objectives. To this end, we propose LangRetrieval, a language-guided conditional flow matching (CFM) framework that establishes a closed-loop optimization mechanism between meteorological semantics and retrieval accuracy. Specifically, LangRetrieval consists of two core components: (i) Semantic Warm-up: structured meteorological attributes are injected into the CFM backbone through cross-attention conditioning, enabling continuous semantic guidance throughout the generation trajectory; and (ii) Self-Evolving Semantic Optimization: a lightweight attribute policy is first initialized from vision-language model annotations and subsequently refined via Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) using multi-threshold Critical Success Index (CSI) rewards, enabling semantic generation to evolve directly toward improved retrieval accuracy.

VMU-Diff: A Coarse-to-fine Multi-source Data Fusion Framework for Precipitation Nowcasting

Precipitation nowcasting is a vital spatio-temporal prediction task for meteorological applications but faces challenges due to the chaotic property of precipitation systems. Existing methods predominantly rely on single-source radar data to build either deterministic or probabilistic models for extrapolation. However, the single deterministic model suffers from blurring due to MSE convergence. The single probabilistic model, typically represented by diffusion models, can generate fine details but suffers from spurious artifacts that compromise accuracy and computational inefficiency. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a novel coarse-to-fine Vision Mamba Unet and residual Diffusion (VMU-Diff) based precipitation nowcasting framework. It realizes precipitation nowcasting through a two-stage process, i.e., a deterministic model-based coarse stage to predict global motion trends and a probabilistic model-based fine stage to generate fine prediction details. In the coarse prediction stage, rather than single-source radar data, both radar and multi-band satellite data are taken as input. A spatial-temporal attention block and several Vision mamba state-space blocks realize multi-source data fusion, and predict the future echo global dynamics. The fine-grained stage is realized by a spatio-temporal refine generator based on residual conditional diffusion models. It first obtains spatio-temporal residual features based on coarse prediction and ground truth, and further reconstructs the residual via conditional Mamba state-space module. Experiments on Jiangsu SWAN datasets demonstrate the improvements of our method over state-of-the-art methods, particularly in short-term forecasts.

MambaRain: Multi-Scale Mamba-Attention Framework for 0-3 Hour Precipitation Nowcasting

Accurate precipitation nowcasting over extended horizons (0-3 hours) is essential for disaster mitigation and operational decision-making, yet remains a critical challenge in the field. Existing deterministic approaches are predominantly constrained to shorter prediction windows (0-2 hours), exhibiting severe performance degradation beyond 90 minutes owing to their inherent difficulty in capturing long-range spatiotemporal dependencies from radar-derived observations. To address these fundamental limitations, we propose MambaRain, a novel multi-scale encoder-decoder architecture that synergistically integrates Mamba's linear-complexity long-range temporal modeling with self-attention mechanisms for explicit spatial correlation capture. The core innovation lies in a hybrid design paradigm wherein Mamba blocks leverage selective state space mechanisms to model global temporal dynamics across extended sequences with computational efficiency, while self-attention modules explicitly characterize spatial correlations within precipitation fields - a capability inherently absent in Mamba's sequential processing paradigm. This complementary synergy enables comprehensive spatiotemporal representation learning, effectively extending the viable forecasting horizon to 2-3 hours with substantial accuracy improvements. Furthermore, we introduce a spectral loss formulation to mitigate blurring artifacts characteristic of chaotic precipitation systems, thereby preserving fine-scale motion details critical for nowcasting accuracy. Experimental validation demonstrates that MambaRain substantially outperforms existing deterministic methodologies in 0-3 hour nowcasting tasks, with particularly pronounced performance gains in the challenging 2-3 hour prediction range.

PixelFlowCast: Latent-Free Precipitation Nowcasting via Pixel Mean Flows

Precipitation nowcasting aims to forecast short-term radar echo sequences for extreme weather warning, where both prediction fidelity and inference efficiency are critical for real-world deployment. However, diffusion-based models, despite their strong generative capability, suffer from slow inference due to multi-step sampling trajectories, limiting their practical usability. Conditional Flow Matching (CFM) improves efficiency via straightened trajectories, but relies on latent space compression, which inevitably discards high-frequency physical details and degrades fine-grained prediction quality. To address these limitations, we propose PixelFlowCast, a two-stage probabilistic forecasting framework that achieves both high-efficiency and high-fidelity prediction without latent compression. Specifically, in the first stage, a deterministic model first produces coarse forecasts to capture global evolution trends. In the subsequent stage, the proposed KANCondNet extracts deep spatiotemporal evolution features to provide accurate conditional guidance. Based on this, a latent-free, few-step Pixel Mean Flows (PMF) predictor employs an $x$-prediction mechanism to generate high-quality predictions, effectively preserving fine-grained structures while maintaining fast inference. Experiments on the publicly available SEVIR dataset demonstrate that PixelFlowCast outperforms existing mainstream methods in both prediction accuracy and inference efficiency, particularly for long sequence forecasting, highlighting its strong potential for real-world operational deployment.

Sentinel-VLA: A Metacognitive VLA Model with Active Status Monitoring for Dynamic Reasoning and Error Recovery

Vision-language-action (VLA) models have advanced the field of embodied manipulation by harnessing broad world knowledge and strong generalization. However, current VLA models still face several key challenges, including limited reasoning capability, lack of status monitoring, and difficulty in self-correction. In this paper, we introduce \textbf{Sentinel-VLA}, a metacognitive VLA model equipped with an active ``sentinel'' module to monitor real-time execution status. Only when necessary, such as during initial planning or upon detecting an error, the model triggers a dynamic reasoning or formulate error recovery solutions. This on-demand reasoning mechanism ensures robust decision-making while minimizing computational overhead. Notably, all training data (spanning 44 tasks and over 2.6 million transitions) is automatically generated and annotated through our designed pipeline. We also propose the Self-Evolving Continual Learning (SECL) algorithm, which allows Sentinel-VLA to identify its capability boundaries and automatically collect data for expansion, paired with Orthogonal Continual Adapter (OC-Adapter) to constrain parameter updates to an orthogonal space, thereby preventing catastrophic forgetting. Real-world experiments demonstrate that Sentinel-VLA boosts the task success rate by over 30\% compared to the SOTA model, PI0. We will open-source all the code, weights, and data generation pipeline.

WaveC2R: Wavelet-Driven Coarse-to-Refined Hierarchical Learning for Radar Retrieval

Satellite-based radar retrieval methods are widely employed to fill coverage gaps in ground-based radar systems, especially in remote areas affected by terrain blockage and limited detection range. Existing methods predominantly rely on overly simplistic spatial-domain architectures constructed from a single data source, limiting their ability to accurately capture complex precipitation patterns and sharply defined meteorological boundaries. To address these limitations, we propose WaveC2R, a novel wavelet-driven coarse-to-refined framework for radar retrieval. WaveC2R integrates complementary multi-source data and leverages frequency-domain decomposition to separately model low-frequency components for capturing precipitation patterns and high-frequency components for delineating sharply defined meteorological boundaries. Specifically, WaveC2R consists of two stages (i)Intensity-Boundary Decoupled Learning, which leverages wavelet decomposition and frequency-specific loss functions to separately optimize low-frequency intensity and high-frequency boundaries; and (ii)Detail-Enhanced Diffusion Refinement, which employs frequency-aware conditional priors and multi-source data to progressively enhance fine-scale precipitation structures while preserving coarse-scale meteorological consistency. Experimental results on the publicly available SEVIR dataset demonstrate that WaveC2R achieves state-of-the-art performance in satellite-based radar retrieval, particularly excelling at preserving high-intensity precipitation features and sharply defined meteorological boundaries.

VerilogMonkey: Exploring Parallel Scaling for Automated Verilog Code Generation with LLMs

We present VerilogMonkey, an empirical study of parallel scaling for the under-explored task of automated Verilog generation. Parallel scaling improves LLM performance by sampling many outputs in parallel. Across multiple benchmarks and mainstream LLMs, we find that scaling to hundreds of samples is cost-effective in both time and money and, even without any additional enhancements such as post-training or agentic methods, surpasses prior results on LLM-based Verilog generation. We further dissect why parallel scaling delivers these gains and show how output randomness in LLMs affects its effectiveness.

ReChisel: Effective Automatic Chisel Code Generation by LLM with Reflection

Coding with hardware description languages (HDLs) such as Verilog is a time-intensive and laborious task. With the rapid advancement of large language models (LLMs), there is increasing interest in applying LLMs to assist with HDL coding. Recent efforts have demonstrated the potential of LLMs in translating natural language to traditional HDL Verilog. Chisel, a next-generation HDL based on Scala, introduces higher-level abstractions, facilitating more concise, maintainable, and scalable hardware designs. However, the potential of using LLMs for Chisel code generation remains largely unexplored. This work proposes ReChisel, an LLM-based agentic system designed to enhance the effectiveness of Chisel code generation. ReChisel incorporates a reflection mechanism to iteratively refine the quality of generated code using feedback from compilation and simulation processes, and introduces an escape mechanism to break free from non-progress loops. Experiments demonstrate that ReChisel significantly improves the success rate of Chisel code generation, achieving performance comparable to state-of-the-art LLM-based agentic systems for Verilog code generation.

A Novel Frequency-Spatial Domain Aware Network for Fast Thermal Prediction in 2.5D ICs

In the post-Moore era, 2.5D chiplet-based ICs present significant challenges in thermal management due to increased power density and thermal hotspots. Neural network-based thermal prediction models can perform real-time predictions for many unseen new designs. However, existing CNN-based and GCN-based methods cannot effectively capture the global thermal features, especially for high-frequency components, hindering prediction accuracy enhancement. In this paper, we propose a novel frequency-spatial dual domain aware prediction network (FSA-Heat) for fast and high-accuracy thermal prediction in 2.5D ICs. It integrates high-to-low frequency and spatial domain encoder (FSTE) module with frequency domain cross-scale interaction module (FCIFormer) to achieve high-to-low frequency and global-to-local thermal dissipation feature extraction. Additionally, a frequency-spatial hybrid loss (FSL) is designed to effectively attenuate high-frequency thermal gradient noise and spatial misalignments. The experimental results show that the performance enhancements offered by our proposed method are substantial, outperforming the newly-proposed 2.5D method, GCN+PNA, by considerable margins (over 99% RMSE reduction, 4.23X inference time speedup). Moreover, extensive experiments demonstrate that FSA-Heat also exhibits robust generalization capabilities.

Embedded Representation Learning Network for Animating Styled Video Portrait

The talking head generation recently attracted considerable attention due to its widespread application prospects, especially for digital avatars and 3D animation design. Inspired by this practical demand, several works explored Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) to synthesize the talking heads. However, these methods based on NeRF face two challenges: (1) Difficulty in generating style-controllable talking heads. (2) Displacement artifacts around the neck in rendered images. To overcome these two challenges, we propose a novel generative paradigm \textit{Embedded Representation Learning Network} (ERLNet) with two learning stages. First, the \textit{ audio-driven FLAME} (ADF) module is constructed to produce facial expression and head pose sequences synchronized with content audio and style video. Second, given the sequence deduced by the ADF, one novel \textit{dual-branch fusion NeRF} (DBF-NeRF) explores these contents to render the final images. Extensive empirical studies demonstrate that the collaboration of these two stages effectively facilitates our method to render a more realistic talking head than the existing algorithms.

BoA-PTA, A Bayesian Optimization Accelerated Error-Free SPICE Solver

One of the greatest challenges in IC design is the repeated executions of computationally expensive SPICE simulations, particularly when highly complex chip testing/verification is involved. Recently, pseudo transient analysis (PTA) has shown to be one of the most promising continuation SPICE solver. However, the PTA efficiency is highly influenced by the inserted pseudo-parameters. In this work, we proposed BoA-PTA, a Bayesian optimization accelerated PTA that can substantially accelerate simulations and improve convergence performance without introducing extra errors. Furthermore, our method does not require any pre-computation data or offline training. The acceleration framework can either be implemented to speed up ongoing repeated simulations immediately or to improve new simulations of completely different circuits. BoA-PTA is equipped with cutting-edge machine learning techniques, e.g., deep learning, Gaussian process, Bayesian optimization, non-stationary monotonic transformation, and variational inference via parameterization. We assess BoA-PTA in 43 benchmark circuits against other SOTA SPICE solvers and demonstrate an average 2.3x (maximum 3.5x) speed-up over the original CEPTA.
